The second story in the Rags to Riches series finds PC 'Addy' Adiscombe, the Uncovered Policeman, on holiday in France. Not just your usual 'tent in the Dordogne' but one that requires a lot less packing. In fact he had travelled Hand Luggage only. It had been a superb relaxing time. That is until a knock on the door one evening leads him into another case where being uncovered is essential for success. Once again he is helped in his mission by Bea, his naturist girlfriend, she who christened him 'Rags'. This time a cast of new friends from across Europe lend a hand too. Will the Uncovered Policeman succeed in nailing the baddies? Naked jogging, is it a good idea? How big a car do you need for a camping holiday? What is a Stonewall Jack? The answer to these and one or two other questions you were never going to ask are revealed as the Uncovered Policeman continues his journey from Rags to Riches ...

The Uncovered Policeman Abroad: A Romantic Naturist Comedy (Rags to Riches Book 2) Reviews

    Clever and creative

I enjoyed this book the second in the series. The characters are likable and glad to be reacquainted with some from the previous book and meeting new characters. It is part of a series but can stand alone. This would be a great beach read. Hope to read more in this series.

Very funny and a pleasingly graphic detail free romantic story. As a young British couple on their first holiday together get drawn into a French police investigation and end up making lots of new friends.

  • Bill Anderson

    Learn the Napoleonic Code

These words have a prophetic value in this naturist novella. A vacation to a naturist resort takes an interesting as the English PC gets involved in an international crime ring. A twist at the end brings another meaning to learning the Napoleonic Code. The next novella in the series may answer this question. I wonder if I am going go get any sleep tonight?

Second book in the “Rags to Riches” series by Ted Bun. A little better than the first book, due to the improved writing. First book had numerous grammatical errors, making it difficult to follow at times. I assume that the author or had someone else proof-read this book, since this story flows better, and is a more pleasant read. One thing I’m not sure I liked was the frequent references to Bea’s “golden flecked” eyes (I lost count how many times they were mentioned).
