Moore does an incredible job of looking at Castro's (and thus Cuba's) attitude towards people of color both at home and abroad. This book provided me with several historical narratives I never knew, like Castro's racial dislike of the Chinese and Guevara's impatience with Congolese rebel leaders, and pointed to others I'll investigate soon, like Cuba's intervention in Angola. My only regret is how old the book is. Published in '87 or '88, it leaves the 25 years of events that have occurred since uncovered (for obvious time travel-limited reasons). I say regret because I can't find an adequate sequel that continues Moore's work. If anyone knows of anything...
