Catfish McDaris was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1953. He's written poetry and prose for the past 20 years. After 3 years G.I. Joe, he hopped freights & hitchhiked across the U.S. & Mexico. He built adobe houses, tamed wild horses, made cattle troughs, worked in a zinc smelter, & painted flag poles. Catfish lived in a cave & wintered in a Chevy in Denver. The adventure finally landed at the post office in Milwaukee, a catfish farm is next, he hopes.

Sleeping With the Fish Reviews

  • Donald Armfield

Catfish is all about: Sex, Drugs and Rock & Roll. The sex and drugs go more in the bold print. This collection is packed with humor and outrageous antics.
A good portion of the book we follow a character named, "Quick" his wild adventures and laugh out loud WTF moments are down right crazy. Some of my favorite pieces:
    -Blue Frankenstein
    -Green around the Gills
    -Gringo Tacos
    -A Sea Of Mermaids
    -Defacing the Mail

Another title in this collection "Black Knife" surprised me. The writing style is a total change from the rest of the book. Huge read and very interesting.

The last section of the collection Catfish drops the Bukowski style poems that pretty much follow the WTF factor.

I've been following Catfish since 2012 you should get a copy of one of his collections and have a crap load of laughs.
