Five Fabulous Stars! This is the second book in the Magnolia Series and can be read as a stand-alone novel. Gracie has made a decision to talk with Cole about something that happened several years ago. Cole does not believe in relationships and so he has one night stands. Cole never expected to see Gracie again but when he does he gets one big surprise. What will happen when Cole learns the secret? Will this turn his world upside down? Ms. Dawn does another fabulous job with this book it is filled with drama, romance, and mystery. I loved the characters and could feel their chemistry. The author had me hooked from the first chapter and I read it in one day. Highly recommend!
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review. This book was read and reviewed by Annamaria for Alpha Book Club.

3.5 Crazy Ass Stars!!!
I enjoyed this ok. I really enjoyed the love story part of this. I liked seeing how Gracie, Cora, and Cole fit together. And that's about where it ended for me. The suspense behind what is going on with Gracie fell flat for me and felt unfinished at the end. Yeah, I know there's another installment but I needed something more in this one. There were also some inconsistencies that I found hard to get passed.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm totally sticking with this series. I'm invested and I want to know Dash's story. I'm no quitter. Seriously though, I enjoyed it. Cole had me squirming around in my seat quite a bit. -
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/2 Stars
Cole Mathews discovers 12 years later that he is still married to his high school sweetheart. The surprises don't stop there. This marriage was arraigned when Gracie Callahan was 19 and "thought" she was knocked up. Cole thinks he is meeting Gracie to dissolve their marriage, it's really to meet the daughter he never knew.
This is a full on drama. Baby mama llama drama.
For me, secret baby books tend to fall into one of two categories "you hid my kid, I hate you and I'm gonna make you pay for it while I F*** you into submission." Or "you hid my kid, I love you but will make you think I hate you until I can get you to agree I'm keeping you both." Generally speaking, there is a lot of F****** and if I'm really lucky-it's breeding season! ***Koolaide Smile
And then we have what happened here...the FBI agent who couldn't tell the girl before him was his daughter. His partner and his wife didn't see it. The only person to notice kind of defy's belief, but it's fiction and I'm going with it!! Probably because there was a whole lot of good Sex that went with it. Gracie is in a lot of trouble, I can tell you that much.
Good sex, wait, GREAT, amazing, dirty loud, wall banging sex is a hallmark of this series. Taylor Dawn writes great sex scenes and thank you sex gods they come with dirty talk. Mmmmmm hmmmmmmm.
I'm not reading these books for the mystery, if I were I might be less enthused. I love what the book does give me, sex, romance, humor, camaraderie. I really recommend this series. I read book 3, than 1 and 2. I find the books work very well as standalone stories if that is your preference.

This is my favorite in this series so far #TEAMCOLE!!! This series has it all, HOT FBI agents, damsels in distress(but can kick ass too) and hard earned "Happily Ever Afters." What I think I love the most, is you get a taste of the author's personality and humor in her books. In book 1 you watch Luke and Ava fall in love, and the thorn in their side/best friend Cole played his love them and leave them. Little did he know his past was about to come back like Karma with PMS, well at least at first. Gracie needs to see Cole, to finish up something that was started when they were in school together. Lies told have a tendency to grow. Now Cole has to put his training to a test, but for as good as he thinks he is...He is about to have a wake up call he never saw coming!!

As with Loose Ends this is a page turner that I could not put down until the last page. I loved this book. The characters and storyline are well developed and relatable. I have a very good friend that has all the traits of Cole and this drove me nuts while reading this book. I kept picturing him doing everything Cole did. Maybe that the reason I feel in love with Cole and Gracie’s story or maybe it’s just because Ms Dawn has written such a great book. I sure home there are more books in this series. I highly recommend this book. Our blog was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

In the first book of the series we meet Cole. Cole is Luke's partner. Split Ends is Cole's book. Cole is this easy going go with the flow kind of guy and then Gracie comes into the picture. Gracie who is supposed to be Cole's ex wife but he learns they are still married, and so much more.
Split Ends is an emotional roller-coaster that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat the whole time. Cole's entire world is turned upside down by secrets that Gracie has kept. -
Split Ends is an amazingly written story. Well done Taylor Dawn. With every book I read of your I get sucked in. It's as if the characters become my friends and family. Thank you for that!

So when Cole finds out he’s still technically marriage his first impression is pretty much ‘fuck’. Even more so when she informs him she’s coming to town to get him to sign the divorce papers. This girl now a woman is the definition of the one that got away. Crazy in love at 19 they could have had a future but one lie changed all that. Now she’s back and she has a daughter – three guesses for who the father is people? She makes up a one-night stand being the dad and it’s amazing how he doesn’t see through it. This is the woman you haven’t seen for 13 years and she has a 12-year-old daughter. Do the math Cole! I think he didn’t see it because he couldn’t believe she’d do something like that. But that’s the least of their problems. Seems she’s in trouble and thinks she only has one way out of it by getting a divorce. Cole has other plans, from the moment he sees her again he is thrown straight back to the past and he’s going to make it his mission to get her to fall in love with him again. Shouldn’t be too hard for either of them, as it never really went away to begin with.
The chemistry and passion is so high between Cole and Gracie you may need to fan yourself down in places but I think the suspense was lacking in places. Not as much intrigue with it as the first but more like a subtle note running along at the same time they are reconnecting. No matter how many times she tries to tell herself what she needs to do for those she loves (get a divorce to somehow keep Dash safe) it just happens to contradict with her emotions when confronted with Cole again. Secrets aren’t kept for long with Cole’s inquisitive nature – he’s FBI so he will figure things out, just might take him a little time. She kept a rather big secret from him in the past but even finding out about that won’t make him hate her. It has always been her for him and nothing and no one is getting in his way of getting her back. He wants his family – Gracie and Cora – so he will do anything to keep it and them safe. He is definitely her missing puzzle piece and she’s only just now trying to figure out how she managed without him for so long. Good job he plans on keeping her and Cora around for a while to come. Well if he can sort out her little issue she’s got herself caught up in. Danger for her family drove her to Cole to try and sort it out one way but really I think she knew deep down that he’d sort it out his way to keep all of them safe.
Great that you get to catch up with Ava and Luke. They play quite a big part throughout in helping Gracie and Cole reconnect while keeping Cora, her daughter, occupied at their house. Not a hardship as she loves the house and thinks Ava’s great.
Loved Brandi in the first and was wondering where she was for a while. Her cameo does kind of help Cole see what’s been right in front of him the whole time. Had to do a quick check with book 3 and I’m pleased to say it’s her book next. She was such a character in the first can’t wait for her to get centre stage.
I received this copy of the book from Nell’s PR and Marketing for my honest review.
