Harrison Williams needs a wife to gain access to his trust fund account. He goes to Las Vegas to meet someone, but there’s a mix up and he ends up at the Chapel-O-Love exchanging vows with Penny, a spirited girl in a cheap veil. When they realize the mistake, he convinces her to go back to Bel Air with him to prove that he’s married, and he agrees to pretend to be William so her family doesn’t have to know about her big mistake. Sounds like a good plan. What could go wrong?
Mistakenly Married is a sweet, clean romantic comedy.

Had potential, but fell short for me. It is a safe read, -
In the mood for some good clean fun? This is it. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This is the 3rd book in this series but they all stand alone as the characters and story-lines are not connected. Great book for when you just want something light and fluffy.

Mistaken identity for the bride and a groom who needs a bride. This is not your typical start to happy ever after.
This is a cute addition to the Married series. Every book features a different couple, so you can pick up anywhere in the series and not feel you have missed anything.
This book was hilarious. Penny not a refined lady by any means, but she marries into a wealthy family. The way she deals with them and takes things in stride was wonderful. I loved the fresh breath she was in the book.
This book has kissing and I consider it to be clean. -
This was just a fun, fluffy, quick read. I enjoyed it, having no major issues with it. It was written ok and had a fun idea. I think I liked the story line more then anything and I was in the mood for a silly romance. Clean with some sweet kisses.

Actual rating - 1.5/5 stars.
I was expecting the story to be cheesy and predictable but I didn't expect it to be this unrealistic. The implausibility of the story spoilt everything that was remotely good about the story. Seriously who the hell marries a guy they've met online and having never seen each other face to face?! 🤦♀️ Ridiculous! -
Note: I listened to the audiobook version.
I loved the narrator. She did a great job on the various voices and pacing of the book.
As for the book itself, the storyline was okay. The plot was good. As always, this couple could have used some great advice before they reached adulthood. Main great advice: Communicate, communicate, communicate. Talk to each other.
My main issue with the book (besides the communicate one) is that there were a lot of slang words. No, none of them were "bad," but you knew exactly what she meant when she said them. Or what she would have said if the book hadn't been written by a clean author.
I liked the ending, but can't tell you exactly why due to spoilers. -
A really sweet read, squeaky clean with zero drama. I enjoyed the story of two people that accidentally married through mistaken identity.

3.5 Stars. I felt like I needed a little break from the Mystery/Suspense genre and this was just the cute story I was looking for. I loved the mistaken identity bit in the beginning. I thought this was a really well done fake relationship story and I appreciated that it could still portray lots of sexual tension while remaining very clean. I definitely want to check out some of the other books in this series.

I wanted to like this book. I liked the first story a lot and rated it 5 stars. I enjoyed the second and rated it 4 stars. Something went terribly wrong with this one. I give a lot of leeway for for fiction. It doesn't necessarily have to be realistic but this story was so implausible and cheesy that I couldn't finish it. I understand when characters may be clumsy or have a string of bad luck but I really have a problem with making them seem stupid such as the case here. I cringed and rolled my eyes too many times. I gave up.
I'll probably give this author another try in the future and hope future books are more like the first two. -
Fluffy unpretentious fun. My brain was so overloaded with suspension of disbelief that it short-circuited and I ended eating up everything in this book. The romance is sweet and the characters are engaging, although immature. It is just a silly happy read.
You will know after two chapters: if you made it past them without nitpicking everything, your brain has been numbed and you will enjoy the book; otherwise stop reading it. -
This clean, contemporary romance is the third book in a five-book series. Up to this point, no characters have appeared in more than one story, so the books of this series are stand-alone offerings. I found the setup for this story to be very clever, yet, at the same time, nearly unbelievable. But, this is a work of fiction, and the setup was entertaining. I enjoyed the many twists and turns Penny and Harrison go through, and they discover each other and journey toward their HEA. I enjoy reading for entertainment, and Ms. Lieske delivered.

This was really cute. Glad to see them both stick up to the other ones families about problems. I'm also sure everyone has that feeling of being the black sheep. All of these books have just been so easy to read and I'm glad that they aren't surrounded by just one group of friends, that they are based all over the place.

I thoroughly enjoyed this great book regarding mistaken identity that ended up being the best kind of mistake. Happy reading/listening!

Mistakenly Married is a delightful romance where a girl that is prone to make mistakes, marries the wrong guy and ends up with the right guy. She has met a man online named William and sends a limo driver to the airport with a sign saying William on it and Harrison Williams thinks it is for him. He has come to Las Vegas to meet a woman his brother has lined up for him to marry to get his trust fund. This starts a funny chain of events complete with a wicked stepmother, a depleted trust fund, lots of miscommunication and misunderstandings. Penny is a talented singer, is out of work, out of a home and out of money and Harrison is kind and needs a wife and they are already married.
This is humorous, clean and entertaining novel that I loved laughing through. -
I found this story to be light and refreshing. The plot might be a little unorthodox, but that is fine with me. The fact that it was well written and that the characters were well developed made this a really enjoyable and easy read. I think I will now go and read the other books by this author that are stored in the depths of my Kindle. ;)

This was a cute, fluffy romance. I enjoyed it- it was a great diversion. :) -

I have to keep this review short and sweet since I need to get ready for work way too soon. I wasn’t intending on reading this one so quickly but the first three reads of the year were either really bad or disappointing and, while this one was somehow both, it was also fun to shut my brain off and let the stupid romantic comedy take place right in front of my eyes. Some of you may know that I mistakenly decided to get the Kindle bind up for all 5 books in this series when I saw it was on sale for a dollar (or possibly it was free, I can’t remember). I know better by now that to buy more than one book in a series before I’ve read the first one. Especially when the bind up is so cheap. I saw a deal and got excited. To my detriment. I thought this was going to be the one that got me. Fake Married?? Mutual Pining?? The Rich Guy’s Family Doesn’t Think She’s Good Enough?? Like, seriously??? How did this not work for me?
Well, it’s too over the top in all directions. First, she’s supposed to be dumb blonde who makes a shitton of mistakes all the time, but... second, she’s also supposed to be a really smart and really talented singer trying to make it in Vegas. Third, he’s a billionaire from a family of billionaires and takes her to fancy parties and buys her pretty dresses, but... fourth, his trust fund is out of money and What Are They Gonna DO?? For such a short novella (just over 150 pages), there just wasn’t enough time for everything the author was trying to do here. I know “Not Long Enough” is such a common complaint from me that I’ve basically got a shortcut on my keyboard for it. But, in reality, this could have been a really well done short romance novel. Everything needed room to breathe.
Overall, the best novella I’ve read in the series, so that’s a plus. Excited to finish it up in the next couple of months. Everyone keep reminding me not to buy bind ups in the mean time. -
These novels were so cute! They had all my favorite themes - friends falling in love, celebrity romance, billionaire romance, hate to love... I recommend them to anyone who seeks light, sweet reads with a satisfying end and no cliffhangers. Each book in the series can be read as a standalone, there are no common characters.
Religion: none
Sensuality: clean
Narrative: 3rd person, following the H and h
Book 1: Accidentally Married - rich boy hires fake girlfriend
Book 2: Reluctantly Married - bantering colleagues fake relationship for publicity
Book 3: Mistakenly Married - fun and optimistic artist marries the wrong guy who thinks of their marriage as a business arrangement
Book 4: Blissfully Married - childhood friends have a second chance to find out they are perfect for each other
Book 5: Acting Married - a single mother agrees to marry temporarily the famous actor she works for -
This was the strangest book in the series.
It's already bizarre to me that Penny agreed to marry someone she never met in person. It's more crazy that two persons made arrangements to marry someone they have never met, on the same day, at the same location.
But you know what is even more fascinating? The fact that they got married, signed the papers and Penny did not realize that the name on paper was not that of the person she should ne marrying. Lol. Talk about arrange marriages.
And then there was his stepmother, Patrice. She was so harsh and unwelcoming. I'm glad they all realized that not everyone does things solely for financial gains.
Nevertheless, as much as their love blossomed in record time, I like the fact that they decided to stay together and work out their affairs. -
Apparently there is an entire subgenre of billionaire romance novels. It used to be millionaire romance novels, but a million is, apparently, not as much money as it used to be--or at least not enough money to fulfill limitless fantasies. Make an already hot guy a billionaire (the stars of these novels are always breathtakingly attractive) and you're bound to fall in love.
Admittedly, Pride and Prejudice could, strictly speaking, be a Regency forerunner to this genre (10,000 pounds a year!)
This was a light, fun novel with sympathetic characters and humorous situations. It was a quick, clean read.
My big question: How many hot billionaires are there? And how do they all manage to be single? -
To be honest, I have crazy OCD so starting this series at book 3 made myself stumble over my own two feet. However, I was assured that all books can be read as a stand alone since no prior characters are linked to the story. Well, let me tell you, I am so happy I let my OCD sit in the back seat for once because I really really enjoyed this book. It made me laugh, swoon, and smile the entire time. To ElfCon, to Doctor Who?, to Lord of the Onion Rings to the funny Penny Ackerman and the sweet Harrison Williams, I was hooked. Did I mention sweet Harrison Williams? ;) Definitely adding all the other books in the Married series to my TBR.
So readers, if you're looking for a fun, sweet and funny rom com with no cliffy, this one's for you!
4 'Chapel-O-Love' stars! -
I have been reading a lot of high-concentration books recently; so I needed something light. This book fit the bill. From the blurb, I was afraid it would be poorly written and extremely shallow; but it was a pleasant surprise. It was short and somewhat predictable, but it was also well-written, interesting, and warm. There's just something pleasant about a clean romance in which the characters slowly fall in love with each other's personalities and quirks, find ways to fit into each other's lives, and grow comfortable with each other's families and friends. It's a nice change from the typical "romance" novel in which the characters yank off their clothes before the introductions are complete and just jump from one sexual encounter to the next.
-
Seriously, I don't know how I got here. I have to admit that clean romances aren't really my thing. In fact, I picked this book without knowing it was going to be a clean romance, which at the end, I didn't have a problem with.
The only thing I had an issue was the implausibility of the whole story. The heroine was going to marry to her years old online boyfriend she had never seen before, but ends up with the hero: a rich heir who also mistakes his pre-paid unknown fiance for her.
I know this is fiction but this whole set-up is just reaching. I'm also supposed to believe that it wraps up perfectly, but in truth I felt like some huge chunk of story were missing. I tend to rate all of this heartwarming romances with three stars but I just can't this time. 1,5. -
I have to say that I liked the concept of Mistakenly Married, and I liked the fact that it's a nice, clean romance story. But there are just too many clichés in it, from the naive small town girl getting married in Vegas to a guy she met online (and who turns out to be a serial womanizer) to the evil stepmother and the trophy wife named Candy.
I found the story interesting and funny, but riddled with stereotypes and childish behavior. It improved a bit towards the end, but I still think it doesn't qualify for more than three stars.
Mistakenly Married is book three in the Married Series by Victorine E. Lieske, but can be perfectly read as a stand alone.
