Lake Superior is a great informational book about the geography, history and the present information on Lake Superior. The book is well written and generally for younger kids who are looking for a good read or just information about Lake Superior. The pictures are vibrant and the book overall gives a great overview of Lake Superior. I think that it is great that it even gives a vocabulary section in the back of the book for possibly harder words that some children might not know.

This book is all about Lake Superior, one of the Great Lakes in Northern, MN. It tells all about the history of the lake, from the Edmund Fitzgerald, to today's use of the lake for fishing for trout, bass and walleyes.

It would be fun to read this book then take a field trip down to Canal Park and walk all around Lake Superior. Especially since it is such an important area here in Duluth, it'd be fun to talk all about its history and how it is used today.
