I'm on a bit of a Gadziala book binge at the moment.
It's like I think there was some mistake putting them all on KU, so I feel an urgency to make sure I get to them all before she realizes her error and yanks them. Lol
Regardless, they all do follow a kind of basic formula thus far...and kind of have nothing happen on the actual MC side of things...but I don't care.
I liked this one too.
I love stoic dudes like Wolf. I would say they are up there in the spank bank, if not in first place.
Moving on to the next one.

"4,5 One-Word Wolf & Badass Janie stars"
"Survivor" meant nothing but breath in your lungs.
I didn't become a survivor.
I became a badass bitch.
That was the choice I made.
First of all this book was AMAZING!
It was everything I was expecting and more...
Since the moment I learned that Wolf and Janie would get their own book I couldn't wait to learn their story and what made them ho they are!I loved them from the previous books and I just couldn't wait to get my greedy hands on this book.
Thank God Jessica end my misery by giving me an ARC.
I want to give a SHOUT OUT to Jessica because once again she brought to life an amazing story about two people who have been through a lot.Their story was bittersweet, brutal, badass and hot!
I loved this book and I devoured every page.I wanted so bad to see that everyone got what they deserved, specially the bad guys and for that I have to thank Wolf because he was there to make sure of that.I was so excited with this book and what's going to happen that I couldn't put it down and at the same time I wanted it to last more...Leave it to me to have these kind of feelings...I was trying to read it as slowly as possible because I wanted to last, but 2 days was the longest I could make it...
DON'T JUDGE ME! It was hard...Okay...? ;p
Let's get started, shall we....?
These book started where "Monster" ended.Janie was feeling hopeless because she didn't complete her goal and save herself and a lot of other women...And that where Wolf came to save the day by taking Janie with him and making sure she was ok.At first she wanted to leave but Wolf didn't have it...mmhmmm...No woman, put your little ass down and don't leave this cabin...
I did what needed to be done. I got her safe. I slayed her demons. And in return, I got several days with the most unpredictable, frustrating, interesting, capable, headstrong, funny, and loyal woman I had ever met in my life.
Wolf was a member of Henchmen MC as we all know and he was a man of a few words. I loved Wolf because he was a HUGE and SCARY motherfucker but he had a heart of gold for the people he loved and cared about...He didn't think twice when it came to protect one of his own...
And that made him so special to me!He was a ginormous bear that you wanted to crawl in his hug and feel safe for the rest of your life...*sign*
"I.Won't.Hurt.You."
"Okay."
"Believe me?"
"Yes, I believe you."
"Don't be afraid."
"I'm not afraid."
That's my girl."
Yes can I be your girl too, Wolf....???
I left everything else and started to devour every word...And I'm not ashamed to admit that this book knocked me on my booty in good and a bad way...I wish I could go that fast though! Lol!
"You locked me out this morning."
"You pushed."
"Yeah, I do that sometimes. In case you haven't noticed,
I'm a pain in the ass."
"Noticed."
"You're not supposed to agree with me."
"Ain't gonna lie."
"No but you could keep that trap shut.
You know how to do that."
"Where's the fun in that?"
In a good way because I loved the journey between Wolf and Janie and how they found the pieces that were missing from their lives for so long.I was happy for them because they deserved to have a closure...And MOVE ON!They started to open up and share some of their dark secrets...And they were brutal and I don't blame them for being so closed off.Slowly Janie started to open up...And I was like girl I'm just hurting for you...
I wish I could do something but Hulk woke up and was ready to rip an asshole apart....literally!
"Do you rage out over normal, everyday stuff?"
"No."
"Then I don't think I have anything to worry about."
"Never."I said firmly.
She never had anything to worry about at my hand.
"What brings you back from it."
"Dunno. Time?"
"Even this last time?"
"That was you."
"So I'm like the Wolf-whisperer?
That's what you're saying?"
"Something like that."
Then it was time for Wolf to open up...that was hard...when I learned why he was using only a few words to communicate my heart was aching for him.
They went through hell...until they had enough and couldn't take it anymore.
I loved their story so much because we don't read only about the bad stuff that happened but about the great too...They learned how to fall in love for the very first time and be sweet and funny and argue about silly things like all the new couples do...At some point we got pretty HAWT...!Because let me tell you when they were ready for the next step they were like animals in heat...Even Janie, she felt safe enough to try new things with Wolf and see what happens...
"Fuck."-Wolf
"I think I like not-gentle."-Janie
"Like it any way with you."-Wolf
"Ow, ow, ow."-Janie
"Forgot you're delicate."-Wolf
"I'm not delicate."-Janie
"Tiny."-Wolf
"That doesn't mean I'm delicate.
Anyone would have sore legs after being in
that position while getting fucked pretty hard."-Janie
"Pretty hard?"-Wolf
"Figured you were still holding back."-Janie
"Could break you."-Wolf
"Is that a challenge?"-Janie
They were so cute together...I mean can you imagine Wolf being cute...???
"Jesus Christ."
"What?Janie..."
"God I'm being such a girl..."
"You are a girl."
"Yeah, but I'm not a girl.Augh."
"Next thing you know I'll be crying over fucking
greeting cards and shit. It's not fucking funny."
"Yeah, it is.With me you can be a girl."
"Fine. But you're not allowed to tell anyone.Or I'll drug your
morning coffee and while you're passed out, shave off your beard. Got it?"
"Got it."
"I mean it. Snip snip! Bye bye mountain man!"
"Heard ya."
"You don't think I'll do it."
"You like my beard."
Yeah, well he had a point there.
Then BAM a knock on the door...changes everything when they started to enjoy themselves...
After that Badass Janie brought hell in their little lawless city...I loved Jstorm she was a badass bitch who proved that messing with her and her loved ones was a HUGE mistake...She was ready to work with the devil if that meant having Wolf by her side...And nothing would stop her!
It was right that second, him still buried inside me,
the sweat on our bodies still drying, that I realized he wasn't
just under my skin.He had gotten into my heart as well.Holy shit. Holy shit!
"Gonna cry again?"
"No."
"Woman."
"I'm fine."
"Fine is never fine."
"Let it go."
"No."
"Augh!"
"Got all day."
"I like you, alright? Jeez."
"Like you too, Janie."
I loved this story!I loved Janie for being herself and I loved Wolf for being there for her in every way he could. These two together were amazing.I really enjoyed how they interacted with one another, we see a different side of them...and that was pretty cool!I loved the ending...
"What's the matter?"
"Nothing."
"It's never nothing."
"Fine.So I love you, okay?"
"Okay."
"Okay? Okay! That's how you respond to that?
I've never told anyone that before. Not in years. Not even Lo.
And you just say okay?"
"You done?"
"Um, no. I'm not done. That was really..."
"You're done."
"I love you too, Janie."
"You know what?"
"What?"
"That was actually a complete sentence."
I really liked that we saw the previous characters again.
And I can't wait for Repo's story...He was such a sweetheart with Janie in this book!
But first Paine's book!Come on Jessica do your magic again!
Enjoy!xxx

Overall Opinion: This was an enjoyable read! I liked it more than I thought it would, and I still think that
Jessica Gadziala is an author to watch because she is growing to be a great author! I love the damaged characters that find peace in each other theme, and I thought she did it well. We see some characters from her other stories, but I don't think it's absolutely necessary to read them all to follow along (I skipped
Cash because I wasn't a fan of Lo). Overall it was a sexy, action packed, sweet story about two people finding love in an unexpected way.
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Janie and Wolf's story. They've met before through mutual acquaintances, but their story starts when Wolf finds Janie upset and hurt on the side of the road after some explosions have gone off through their town. He takes her to his place and takes care of her. She resists for a while, but eventually she comes around and trusts him. The more they spend time together, the more they open up and fall in love. There is some crazy town dramatics going on, some sexy times, and some funny moments...and they do get a HEA in the end.
POV: This alternated between Janie (mostly) and Wolf's POV. I think I would've like a little more of Wolf's POV tbh, but I loved Janie so it was ok.
Overall Pace of Story: Good. I never skimmed and I thought it flowed well.
Instalove: No, they take a while to develop stronger feelings.
H rating: 4 stars. Wolf. I've always been a fan of the strong, quiet, and damaged heroes -- so he was totally my cuppa!
h rating: 5 stars. Janie. I loved her! She was a little crazy, but in a good way ;). I felt bad for her past trauma, but I'm happy that she allowed herself to open up to Wolf.
Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed
Push/Pull: Not really.
Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.
Descriptive sex: Yes
Safe sex: Yes
OW/OM drama: No
Sex scene with OW or OM: No
Cheating: No
Separation: Not really.
Possible Triggers: Yes
Closure: This had good closure with a jump ahead epilogue and a HEA ending.
How I got it: It was part of my kindle unlimited subscription.
Safety: This one should be Safe or Safe with exception for most safety gang readers depending on personal preferences. -
4 'Safe' Stars
By now if you don't know Janie and Wolf then you're downright crazy. This book starts off where Monster left off with Janie aka JStorm fleeing from what she's done. She doesn't get away unscathed, though, and when Wolf see's her injured he takes her with him to help her. And by that I mean he kidnaps her and takes her to his cabin in the woods where his guard dogs help keep her there.
Sigh, I can't get over how much I ended up loving Wolf. He was silent but sexy, and those one word answers he would give had me creaming my panties. He had this sort of quiet intensity about him, which was both intriguing and hot. I liked that he was a mystery for most of the book and it kept my attention on his secrets the whole time.
Both Wolf and Janie had a very messed up past that neither were fully healed from. I liked seeing them both helping each other to heal and move on. I especially liked that the author took the time to have them heal slowly, which to me is more realistic. I get annoyed at those books where one second a character is damaged and the next chapter they're all better just because they met the H/h. This was not the case with Wolf, though and the character took their time to help each other and get close to one another.
The smexy level was a little lower than in the past books from this series, but I actually enjoyed that. I think it was better that the story mostly focused on Wolf and Janie unhurriedly getting to trust one another, rather than have them all hot an heavy before they really knew each other. Not that there wasn't some very sexy lovin' in this book...trust me, there was and I loved it!
Bottom line, if you haven't read this series yet, you're crazy! Wolf and Janie have been a couple that I've been curious about for awhile now and their book didn't just live up to my expectations - it wen above them. I can't wait for everyone to get a chance to meet them.

5-THIS-IS-MY-NEW-OBSESSION-STARS!!!
What. A. Masterpiece. I freaking adored everything inside this book. And damn, it's official I am a huge Jessica Gadziala trash. As a matter of fact, I am binge-reading her books from the very start and will continue up to the very last. I am that hooked and addicted.
"I've got to say, I knew women could bring wrath that makes the plague of locusts look merciful, but Janie is in a league her own."
Well ain't that the damn truth. Holy molly I honestly thought that out of Summer, Lo, and Janie-Janie would be my least favorite. But oh. my. god. she turned out to be my favorite out of all three. I am in awe with her. She has sass, spite, and helluva skills that makes me want to a badass like her. I admired how the author portrayed her character because she wasn't a victim nor a survivor, she is a badass bitch who has no filter and will do everything to get her man safe. Wow.
While reading Reign-my first book of Jessica Gadziala- Wolf immediately hooked my interest. He was an enigma I crave to know. In an MC novel, I always find myself counting on encountering mysteriously silent type giant with a past that will surely make me appreciate them more. In this book? Wolf? He fuckin delivered. He was so sweet and caring to Janie while being dangerously menacing to other people who hurt her- and it really made my heart flutter and butterflies in my stomach present the whole time while reading his and Janie's story.
I love the plot, it was fast-paced and even though there are a lot of side stories you won't be confused because the author writes snippets without really spoiling much. I love the action! As I've said in my previous reviews, I love me some anti-hero books with lots of action and I it was well-delivered by the author. I love the side characters who I know has their own stories which I am dying to read. I know it's a lot. But holy freaking hell. I DO NOT CARE. I will read every single book about the lives of the people living in Navesink Bank Universe. I am into deep and can't seem to stay away.
Lately, I have been a lazy ass writing short reviews about the books I have read whether I loved it or not. BUt this one deserves a proper review, given I was so obsessed with this book and haven't slept at all just so I can finish it in one sitting. It's that good.

**4.5 Stars**
Well, Wolf and Janie's book is hands down my favorite so far! Wolf is one of those strong and silent type guys, and let me tell you....that works for me!!! I adore Wolf...and Janie is one huge "Badass Bitch!!" These two were so good together. They are both broken souls, and they have so many issues; but they find all their broken pieces within one another and it is such a beautiful thing to witness!
I have come to adore Jessica Gadziala's series, and I am hopeful that we will get more from her. There are some other criminal group/families that are mentioned by the MC's and I am very hopeful that we will get to learn more about The Mallick family, as well as the mysterious Italian family whom I am thinking are a part of the Mafia or something like it! I have been devouring this authors work for a week now, and next on the list is Repo!! He has been somewhat new to the Henchmen MC; but I will be interested to see what kind of trauma his story holds. All of the characters seem to have such tortured pasts....but it makes their falling into love so much more sweeter. They all may be on the wrong side of the law, but deep down they just want to be left alone, to learn how to live through all of the fear and tragic memories that they have survived. The heroes and heroines of this series are very powerful, and I have rooted for a HEA for every single one of them!!!! -
Ah, the strong and silent type, the big man who says little but feels deeply, that mysterious and completely scary guy who will do anything for the ones under his protection. That would be Wolf by Jessica Gadziala, the Henchman’s resident hermit, a man of few words, few grunts and the only man that can get under Janie’s skin and make her love it. When Janie needed someone most, there was Wolf, taking over her life, saving her from herself and her past. But really, does a badass chick like Janie need protection? The woman is tough, she can throw down with the best of them, but she has been brutalized and getting over what one man did to her will take more than the patience of a saint.
Janie is also argumentative, a talker and well, Wolf likes his peace and quiet, his one word answers almost drive her to distraction until she learns what that one word says and it speaks volumes. Follow these two as Janie and Wolf learn to trust and unburden their inner pain and their pasts, all of the things that make them the people they are today. See how far a person in love will go for the one they love.
Everyone has a story, and Janie and Wolf’s stories are not pretty, they are not even always law abiding, but they are raw, gritty, and sometimes devastating to read. Everyone deserves a little happiness and just maybe these two will find it, but it won’t be easy and it won’t be instant, it will; however be a matter of the heart.
Jessica Gadziala has poured her best work into Wolf and Janie’s tale, filled with that dark grit she is known for, while giving us heroes that go beyond a little flawed, while carrying huge doses of loyalty and hearts just waiting to be taken by another. Wolf and Janie are humorous, with great interplay between them and the sexual tension? Think tight as a bungee cord with an elephant hanging on the end. Hotter than blazes passion, from the gut emotions, grab your helmets and leathers and get ready to ride into another fabulous read!

Oh, how I love those strong silent types. Wolf is a man of few words. When he has something to say, it means all that much more. He is a knight for damsels in distress and exactly who Janie needed in her life. Janie's past has driven her to make some pretty big moves and now there's backlash. This book is a little different than the rest in that it's less focused on the sexual component, though we get some deliciously sexy lovemaking. It's definitely strong with the internal conflict and emotional development of the main characters not only together but as individuals as well. I was pleasantly surprised by the perspective of Wolf and find him a different, yet interesting addition to the Henchmen. Janie becomes more tangible in this read as she loses some of that prickly shell we see in others' stories and we see deeper into her motivations. Action wise there's a bit of "fade-to-black" here that I would've liked to have read more about but it was still clear enough to get the gist. Another great addition to the series. Safety: No OW/OM/Sharing. Neither are Vs. History of rape/abuse.
-
I really don't know that it is about a big bear of a man who hardly speaks but omg Wolf was my favorite so far. So loved everything about this one.
Janie was just tough enough and just soft enough when it counted. All the secondary characters were interesting and I'm ready for more.
Safety
No ow drama (aside from the heroine noticing some club whores at a party but non spoke or had any interaction)
Janie had been celibate due to trama. Wolf had his share but totally faithful from the moment he brought Janie home. They must have known of each other but not spent any time together before the night she went to his house. There was no mention of when he last had sex. I call it safe since there were no ow. -
***FIVE STARS***
WOLF
Wolf is the Henchmen's Road Captain. He's a badass dude who has been known to fuck people up when the need arises. He also has an almost sixth sense ability to see into broken women, and he's tries to help them if he's able to. With Janie, he's not a badass at all, he's her strength, her healer and ultimately her protector.
JANIE (aka JStorm)
Janie is Hailstorm's little kickass explosives guru/computer hacker. She's a spitfire who never takes shit from anyone, least not anyone from the male population. But Janie has her own demons that have come to surface, and now threaten to destroy her.
This story starts off at the explosion that happens in Breaker's story. Wolf finds Janie at the side of the road, burned, injured, and emotionally falling apart. Wolf pretty much kidnaps Janie at this part (though not in a sick kidnapper way). He's taken her to protect her, as well as to find out her secrets.
I don't want to give away the secrets in this story, but the way Wolf takes care of Janie was absolutely heart melting. When it comes to protecting the people he cares about, Wolf can be a big ol' softie, and he'd literally give his life to protect them. Janie and Wolf both have issues from their past, but in this story they find a way to work through them, and find the will to do what it takes to protect each other.
This was a great story. The chemistry between these two was very realistic to me. This story is a little darker than most of JG's others before this one. Fans who love the Henchmen characters as well as Breaker and Shooter, will enjoy seeing them all come together again in this story, and their antics when the do! Totally recommend this to anyone who has enjoyed the previous stories in the Henchmen series. -
Re-read 20th - 21st August 2021
Still working through my catch up.
Original review.
Woman, I liked this.
I was looking forward to this book and I like that the timeline overlaps with 'Cash' and 'Monster' Wolf intrigued me and Janie, Janie is a great character and I loved her especially towards the end when she's a woman on a mission.
Wolf is fabulous,
"Wolf? We're talking about the same guy here, right? Twenty-feet tall, million pounds of muscle, perpetually underused voice box? The most self-controlled person I've ever met..."
I found Wolf amusing at first with his "Woman" but then I worried at one point that Wolf was a bit too much like a Kristen Ashley character with his grunting and few words but his story explained the reason for this.
While I enjoyed this book and yes I'm aware that what I'm going to say is a contradiction but while I was glad the author didn't rush them, she allowed them to find themselves but this resulted in it dragging a bit at times.
The beginning was good and the last third was really really good and I'll be starting 'Repo' as soon as I finish this review.
This is the kind of town which should be on the vacation list for single women since all the men are seriously hot and while I've been waiting for the Mallick's (fingers crossed) I'm now wanting the Grassi books as well. -
4.25 badass bitch stars
Wolf had intrigued me from the first book, because lets just say, I like me some less talker bad boy; and Janie- I had wanted to know more about her ever since Lo mentioned her and her bad past. You know how it gets when the author sets up for the next book in the previous ones- gets you panting.
Well, this book runs parallel with Cash, and begins some moments before Cash does, with Janie bombing all the outlaws compounds, including her own home, just so she could kill Lex Keith- the man who had kidnapped her and then sexually and physically abused her 8 years ago. Just after the bombings Wolf happens upon Janie, and then takes her to his place to protect her.
I really did love Wolf because he never said much, but still got Janie to open up to him, healed her, and protected her by destroying her nightmares by going all hulk on them(literally). Janie was such a strong character, and I loved seeing her grow and develop so much. Her going all badass bitch to save her man was the moment of the book for me.
All in all a very enjoyable read- completely satisfying, and totally dirty MC. -
This may be one of my favorite couples by this author. I loved Wolf and his one word sentences. I loved what a badass Janie is but how she has a soft side that Wolf sees. They were so perfect together. I have to say that I was disappointed in Reign, Cash and Repo towards the end of the story for what they’re doing to Maze. I know they’re manly men and all about the brotherhood but they all have strong women in their lives (except Repo) and should know better.
-
4 stars-
I've struggled w my rating. While I adore JG and ALL of the Henchmen this fell a tiny bit short. I just want to explain.
I adore Wolf, he was perfect, but I would've loved more Wolf POV.... But, mostly there was so much backtracking from the other books it wasn't enough 'new' to totally wow me like the others. I understand why, but I always knew what was going to happen.
I always love catching up w the gang so I just want more of the "after"....
I can't wait to get to know Repo and Maze and I'm super intrigued w Eli Mallick.....
I love this series no less :) and- again-
Wolf was exactly what I expected- perfection in a mountain man, biker, man of few words package :)
Peter Cottontail left this baby (ARC) in my Easter basket!!!! I've been waiting for Wolf and can't wait to fall more in love w him!!! -
Ever find yourself drawn to the strong, silent type? Well, Wolf of The Henchmen fits the bill to a tee!
So what was this story about?
❥ Janie (a.k.a. JStorm), at the age of sixteen, had escaped sixteen days of a woman's worst nightmare. Lo found her, cleaned her up, trained her, and helped her become the badass bitch we know and love.
❥ When Janie decided it was time to take action, she did... and it quite literally blew up in her face.
❥ Enter Wolf. A man of few words, he knew what it was to have a traumatic past that continues to haunt you. He saw something in Janie that had him helping her behind everyone's backs. Call it instalike or instalove, but it was magical what these two had brewing between them.He kissed me like worship, like a prayer, like a benediction. He kissed me like it was the only thing standing between him and absolution, like together we could wash away our sins and start anew in the Elysian Fields.
Can two halves truly make a whole? Well, that's what this story is all about. It's about two somewhat broken characters finding that one person who not only understands them, but who can handle whatever they throw at them.People like us, people with pasts, with scars somewhere deep inside, there was no telling what could happen when we were pushed, when we were forced to confront the dark parts of our psyches. He didn't judge me for breaking. I wasn't going to judge him for doing so either.
It's so hard to choose a favorite Henchmen. While similar in a lot of ways, I found their glaringly obvious differences to be like a punch to the face. Their loyalty to each other knows no bounds and they are full of so much freaking heart! Wolf may not be in the habit of stringing more than a few words together, but the way he communicates, the profundity found with his one word, speaks volumes. I love the way the author captured this man. Got me looking at mountain men bikers in a whole new way! -
I read Reign, the first book of this series. I do not like it and end up shelved it under DNF. So when I stumble int Wolf, with a blurp promising a very brooding hero, I convince myself to give it a try.
The audio book is about 9 hours long and when I finished with it, I am smiling. Yes I do like this book very much. I credit it to Wolf. Hey, this brooding man, only say very few words but somehow it is very very sexy. Miss Gadziala takes brooding into the next level. And I tip my hat for Jennie. She is not only survivor but she takes survivor into the next level. She uses her brain to save Wolf.
The POV is told from Jennie and Wolf. But mainly from Jennie. Somehow it is enough to sizzle. The chemistry is build up slowly. The plot is also complicated. I like that very much. Even the resolution of the plot also makes me guessing. It is a very good combination of romance and suspense.
Overall I do enjoy this book very much.

I read/listened to this last week (book’s on KU & audio’s on scribd) and never got around to writing a review. Wolf is quiet/growly, and HATES women being abused. Janie is Lo’s protégé and a computer whiz. Their story was introduced in Cash’s book, Janie set the bombs on the HQ’s and has been hiding out at Wolf’s.
I’m the odd man out, but I found this a bit lackluster. I think because we knew so much of the plot going in, so it felt redundant. I liked both Wolf and Janie individually, but together… 🥱. He barely speaks, and we rarely get his POV, so the relationship felt one-sided.
Bottom Line- Same formula as the other books… little to no romance the first 50% and mc-lite. The last half picks up. -
5 Extreme Badasses Stars
For once, it's nice to have strong badass heroine like Janie. She's a little mysterious woman who loves to play with explosives. Also in this book, we get her story and why she's the way she is. The only person that can handle this firecracker is.......duhhhhhh, Wolf!!
Wolf is the silent broody type of man who you don't want to cross. His glare would make you wet yourself lol. But when it concerns Janie, he is a giant fluffy marshmallow. Is that even possible?? Well....once you read it, you can decide ;).
Also, Lex........
By the way, I was so glad that Repo got a book!! I'm super excited about it cause I remember emailing Jessica about it when I did an ARC/R2R Reign. So thank you so much for giving him a book!! Wooohoo. I can't wait for his book :) -
omg I love Wolf

5 stars!!! Easily the best book in the series.
I'm definitely going to read Repo's book next but I HIGHLY doubt anything could touch how much I love Janie and Wolf.
One thing I really love about this series is how distinct each persons voice is.
Reigns internal monologue and dialogue didn't sound like Cash's and it sure as hell didn't sound like Wolfs. It's funny because halfway through the book I said to myself "Why the hELL are we only getting Janie's POV?! I wanna hear from Wolf!" Then realized... homeboy barely talks lmao of course he only gets 3 or 4 POV chapters in the book.
Technically these books are kinda following a "girl is outrunning her demons, boy shelters her, they fall in love" pattern, but for some reason each one feels fresh and exists in a vacuum so it's not feeling old or recycled to me.
I also particularly liked the reasons why he was so silent.
Especially since he speaks in clipped non-sentencces which is pretty similar to a lot of KA alpha's. But in this case there was a real reason for it, not just "I'm too badass to use verbs".
Wolf and Janie were fully fleshed out dynamic ass characters and I loved every part of them. Even in the epilogue I loved that they would have arguments over things they fundamentally diagreed on but just respected each other to hold their own opinions. Gorg healthy shit.
ALSO ALSO! Because this books apparently are the worlds biggest trigger warning, I particularily loved how Janie's sexuality was handled. The epilogue even made a note of talking about how love and safety don't take away trauma. And while she'd made a lot of progress, there were still some things that would never go away. Love that realistic shit in the middle of a crazy ass story :)
God I loved this book I can't wait to reread. -
“Wolf “
The Henchmen MC
Book 3
By Jessica Gadziala
"Woman"
This is another great book in the Henchmen series. This book started where "Monster" ended.
I had some serious reservation about Wolf, especially with his one worded demands. Wolf’s father had a “Rule” 5 words or less to explain yourself…Trust me after few beating his mother received cuz of him, he learn fast to follow those rules…
I so glad in this book, we get Janie story and why she's the way she is.I loved the journey between Wolf & Janie & how they found the pieces that were missing from their lives for so long. They started to open up & share some of their dark secrets. Aww, the strong and silent type, the big mountain man who says Lil but feels deeply, it took Wolf 2 whole days to tell Janie what he done for his mother
I really liked that we saw the previous characters again. The epilogue was just freaking AMAZING.
I can’t wait to start Paine book…… June seems so far away… I also can't wait for Repo & Maze story...He was such a sweetheart with Janie in this book! -
My favortist Henchman couple ever! Still, after all the books and all the later developments. J-storm and Wolf are just awesome and I love this book.

I had some serious reservation about Wolf, especially with his one worded demands. But like a fungus he grew on me, couldn't help but find the mountain man irresistible. Actions does speak louder than words, he proved his over and over. Janie was the type of heroine I admire. She didn't take crap off anyone, least of all Wolf. She could put him through his paces. Yeah think that would be interesting to see, both of them down on the mats grappling for top position. She'll fit right on in with the rest of the The Henchmen MC. Looking forward to the next read!

I. Am. SO. Obsessed with this book. Seriously. Look, I’m a tremendous reader. I’ve been reading since a very young age, and I think I started stealing my mom and my best friend’s mom’s historical romance novels by ten years old. I read Shakespeare for fun as a child.
And this book just ripped my fucking heart out. Damn, was I sad to turn that very last page. Because I just didn’t want to stop reading about Wolf and Janie, AKA Jstorm.
Wolf and Janie are two people who come from seriously messed up backgrounds. I won’t give you any spoilers, because this book deserves to have you go in blind, but it’s apparent pretty quickly that’s the case all the same.
I can tell you that Janie stole my heart. This tiny, ballsy woman had more strength in that itty bitty package than a Sumo wrestler. She turned her nose up at the term “survivor”, so I will say I feel the more accurate term for Janie is “warrior”. Because that’s exactly what she was. Hard on the outside, tough, smart as hell, yet with so many terrible scars on the inside.
And Wolf. Well, when I met him in the first book of the Henchman series, Reign, I was immediately intrigued by this mountain of a man with a soft spot for women and a heart that shone through his actions. Even without all the words. He made Janie feel SAFE. I know it may be hard for some to understand, but for someone who’s been through an extraordinarily horrific experience, you can never, ever put a price on that.
Wolf says something about Janie towards the end of the book. He says: She would fight me tooth and nail. She would spit and rant and claw. There was no taming her. But there was nothing more beautiful than a wild animal. And there was nothing more heartbreaking than seeing one of those wild animals broken in a cage.
Wolf GETS her. And she, well, she gets him, too. I have never felt like I needed a man to complete me, but I can say that in this book, I almost felt the puzzle pieces that were Janie and Wolf clicking together, making one incredible whole.
I loved this book. You should read this book. And I can’t wait to read Repo’s story next, because while I was already tantalized by him after reading Reign, now I need to know his story, too. Damn, is this author amazing. -
5 Big, Bad Wolf stars! Love, love, loved Wolf and Janie's book!
First, big thanks to Jessica for the arc of Wolf. I am a huge fan and am addicted to her stories. Wolf has been my favorite character from the very beginning, I so love the strong silent types. Finally Wolf gets his own book and it does not disappoint!
The big, bad Wolf is really a giant teddy bear when it comes to Janie. He's badass and alpha, the epitome of the strong silent type, his lack of ego and take em as he is or you can leave attitude just makes you want to cuddle up in his flannel sheets. Janie on the other hand is a firecracker, literally. The little bomb making, krav maga badass is smart and feisty, and as tough and independent as they come. With that said, both Wolf and Janie have their flaws too and have a lot to overcome in order to let love in. I thought their story was beautiful.
The world of The Henchman and The Savages continues to interweave, love that about these books so we can continue to follow up with the characters. There are also some new characters introduced in Wolf that I hope eventually get their own books and I am definitely looking forward to Repo's story! -
3 "...wash away our sins and start anew..." Stars
I liked this one too, not as much as Cash's story but Wolf is a solid read. The same blueprint is used as the others before it as far as guiding the romance and the plot. These guys are all part of the Henchman MC but nothing really happens in the club as the romances are blossoming which makes it interesting. With singular focus on the couple and their stories you get swept up in the story. I'm enjoying each one I read. -
This book is more about friendship and focuses on the bond that develops between Janie and Wolf. Though I anticipated seeing more action, this read was very motorcycle club lite, but still very enjoyable! Loved the ending and can't wait to see the Mallicks in action!

5 'WOMAN' stars!!
Wow! I have nothing but love for this entire series.
Seriously good... I'll happily read whatever this author writes : )
