In a single moment hundreds of thousands of people died instantly, every plane fell from the sky and the world was plunged into darkness. This became known as The Event.

With the loss of her closest companion Ally flees into what is left of Los Angeles hoping to find peace in a world that so far has given her nothing more than struggle. What she finds there will change her forever.

Alec clings to the hope that he will survive long enough to gather the supplies needed to escape the prison camp, but his body is failing and Xu is always watching.

Ben hadn’t expected to survive New York but thanks to his squad’s successful operation he finds himself in the headquarters of the New United States of America. It’s a place where he should feel safe and sound, but it’s hard to leave the past behind and a new battle is on the horizon.

The Wasteland. BK 6 After the Event

How lives change, yet still go on, seems to be the theme in this book, both good and bad. The lives of the siblings take some more twists and turns, some which are completely unexpected, as are the lessons that accompany them.
I think that the is my second favorite book of the series. I can't wait for the next to come out.
