Her time is over.
Things are looking up.

She’s dirty and ugly.
He’s wicked but handsome.

Six months to toy with her.
Six months of vacation and a ton of money.

I’ll hurt her beyond repair.
I’ve been through much worse.

She's difficult to control and doesn't obey.
I'm done submitting to anyone or anything in this life.

I should hate her.
I should hate him.

The game has changed.
I will win.

Dirty Ugly Toy is a novel that blurs the lines of right and wrong, deals with abuse, contains dubious consent, and adult subject matter. If you are sensitive to violent sexual situations, the book may not be suitable for you. Some parts of this book are not easy to read and are not intended for everyone. However, those that keep an open mind and stick with it will not be disappointed.

I've been ALL over the place with my reading lately and woke up yesterday just NEEDING to read a solid dark romance. I haven't had the time or the desire *gasp* to read much other than re-reads lately, so the urge to read anything new was a fairly exciting moment.

    description

And the fact that I wanted to read a DARK romance?

    description

I like my dark romance to be, well, dark, obviously.

Meaning, I like taboo shit, dubious or perhaps complete non-consent, captivity/slave themes, violence and...malleable/wasteland morals.

If that's not your cup of tea, that's cool.

    Don't read this book.

For me (and a lot of others), though?

This was exactly what I was in the mood for.

If you follow my reviews, you know that I love dark, twisted stories. Based on the title alone, I knew that this story would be right up my alley. K. Webster never fails to deliver just the type of mindf*ck that I love and this book was no exception.

'Dirty Ugly Toy' begins with a scene that immediately had me questioning exactly what kind of a sick individual Braxton Kennedy really was. He has finished with one of his "toys". She is bound, gagged and it is time to make her disappear from Braxton's presence forever.

Once he's disposed of his last toy, Braxton goes on the hunt for another one. He has particular tastes. He wants the filthiest, most drug-addicted and desperate woman on the streets to act out his depraved fantasies with. He will pretty her up, just to break her down again.

Jessica turned to prostitution in order to feed her heroin addiction. She will do anything for her next fix. Self-respect left her long ago. The woman she used to be would not recognize herself now.

When Jessica, aka "Bunny", is picked up by Braxton, she cannot resist the lure of the $500,000 that he promises for 6 months of her time. She would do anything for that kind of money and all the heroin that it would buy. Without reading the fine print, she signs his contract and becomes Braxton's new toy.

From the start, Jessica proved to be a challenge for Braxton. She challenged him in ways that he had never been challenged before. She was anything but submissive, even as he did his best to humiliate and degrade her.

Braxton behaves in a reprehensible manner. He was a really hard character to like because his behavior was so damn cruel and deplorable at times. It was clear that he was one seriously messed up individual, but I couldn't excuse his callous treatment of Jessica. Regardless of his "mommy issues", his treatment of her was despicable.

That being said, the story was actually not as dark as I had anticipated. There were a few scenes with violence, but Braxton's cruelty was most pronounced in the emotional abuse he subjected Jessica to. The flashbacks from her past were the source of the darkest content and not her BDSM relationship with Braxton, which ended up being pretty tame.

Overall, this was a great story. It was dark-ish, but I would've liked for it to be a little darker. There was plenty of twists and turns to hold my attention throughout this book. If you like dark stories with a bit of mystery/suspense, then this is a good choice.

On the other hand, I should say that I was not overly impressed with the Audible narration for this book. The narrators' voices just didn't appeal to me at all. This is one that I'd recommend reading vs. listening to. It took me quite a while to get into the story because the voice of the narrator was so off-putting.

Here's why I gave this 5 stars, it's a book where you have to step outside your comfort zone, outside of your head, some won't like this, but others like me who are sick and twisted will love it, it goes against everything you believe in, right vs wrong, it's a book where you have to stop thinking and just feel, feel the words, the characters, especially where it comes to him, he's not a monster, he's a product of his childhood and it takes her to break down all his walls and that is why I loved this..

She completed broken parts of me,

Ohhhhh I should probably say that this is the first time reading anything by this author..Sooooo I really have no idea what I'm going to be walking into..

★ DISCLAIMER: ★ Dirty Ugly Toy is a novel that blurs the lines of right and wrong, deals with abuse, contains dubious consent, and adult subject matter. Twenty toys
    Twenty locks of hair
Twenty times I've indulged in my greatest fantasies.

This pretty much jumps right into the dirty ugly grit of things, he's discarding one toy that bores him and is now in the process of finding another one that he can play with..

    Find new toys.
    Play with them.
    Tell them goodbye.
And my boys do the rest.

Oh gods wtf have I one clicked and am reading?? This is f*ucked up..But for the life of me I'm stuck on this crazy journey because I need to find out wtf this book is about lol

Nineteen toys. Nineteen locks of hair. Nineteen times I’d indulged in my greatest fantasies.
I believe the twentieth one will be extra special.
And I can’t wait to make her mine.
    At least for a little while . . .

I’m a dirty street animal. There was a day in my life when I would have been horrified to have seen such a thing. Now, all morals are thrown out the window. I don’t care about anything or anyone. Life is shitty, plain and simple. ~ HER

The only reason why I one clicked this was because of the cover shhhhhh it kind of grabs your attention, never really paid attention to the synopsis, my finger had a mind of its own when I let it loose on Amazon and this book is the result of that, but I shit you not, even though this is kind of sick and twisted the story just grabs you..

A game of cat & mouse

I’m not most women, I crave to rile you up and provoke you. I like watching the vein in your forehead pulsate when you’re pissed. I like when you tie me up and spank me and treat me like you own me.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Bunny, I’m not right in the head. I want to hurt women. Sometimes I want to hurt you. I’m evil.

This book is surprising on so many levels, straight away your drawn into this unorthodox story, it's unique and unlike anything I have ever read before, the authors writing style holds your attention throughout..

    Sins of the mother

So this is really weird but still I keep reading, he's not such a monster as I initially thought, (and guess this is where the mind f*ck comes into play) the prostitutes he picks up as his toys as he calls them are all paying the price through the sins of his mother..

Bunny is different. Bunny reminds me of the cold, hungry, feisty little boy who hid in the closet all those years while Mama f*cked her johns. Bunny reminds me of me. And that changes everything.

    Lines become blurred.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Bunny is different, this woman confuses the hell out of me and she's ruining my carefully constructed plans.

Dirty Ugly Toy: This book will be nothing like any book you have previously read, this book will push ALL your boundaries. Right from the very first page it is right up in your face. It is downright ugly, raw, gritty, dirty, and it will have you questioning all your morals, it's darkly disturbing, sickeningly twisted, erotic, and you will love - hate all that is ugly in this book..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

There will never be another TOY. I've lost the desire to restore. Nothing will ever be pristine and shiny in my eyes.

Dark, twisted, intriguing and yet wildly addicting!!!! Dirty Ugly Toy by K. Webster is not your standard romance novel that is full of hearts and flowers and a knight in shining armor coming to the rescue but instead this book pushes your boundaries. It is in your face. It is raw, ugly, gritty, erotic, poignant, disturbing, dark and twisted. And at the same time, intoxicatingly beautiful. So how can something ugly be stunning? Well, the answer is simple. What others might perceive as ugly, useless and a waste of space, another might find the beauty that lies along the rough edges. And for K. Webster she did just that as she has readers like myself begging and craving for more as she toyed with our emotions and pushed boundaries.

photo ed4a6c1397c1f854cb310445b4fada_zpsjgqochuv.gif“I’ve never had a toy like this one before. She’s mouthy and brash and fucking revolting. I’m completely intrigued with her.”

Dirty Ugly Toy was a masterfully crafted story that begs readers to enter the dark and ugly side where power and control resides in a master who finds pleasure in humiliation and pain. Where a whore is an object. Well, in this case a toy. A toy that belongs to an owner. An owner who will decide when each toy serves its purpose and has an expiration date. And that master of toys is Braxton Kennedy.

    #dirtyUglyToy

19 toys. 19 toys that were used by Braxton Kennedy. 19 toys that were disposed of. 19. And now, Braxton Kennedy is ready to add to his collection. And number 20 had to be special. So when Braxton spotted his lucky number toy on the street corner ready to sell off her body for some heroin, Braxton was ready to make her his toy. And every toy needs a name. And so when he picked up his new toy "Bunny," Braxton had to clean the filth off his new toy.

photo ed4a6c1397c1f854cb310445b4fada_zpsjgqochuv.gif“You’ll learn, Bunny. I’m a liar. A bad fucking man. The monster you feared as a child. You’re my new toy now— to do with whatever the fuck I please.”

Jessica aka "Bunny" didn't care that she signed her life away for six months to Braxton. He promised her drugs and she needed the fix but what she didn't realize that for six months she will be his to own. His possession. His personal whore. His slut. His pet. His everything. His toy. When Braxton made Jessica go on detox and purge out her need for drugs, Jessica soon learned what it means to be a toy. When he demands her for sex, she has to obey and if not punishment will be enforced. As Jessica tested the boundaries, she soon learned what it means to be punished by a belt. The whips of pain should scare her but instead Jessica craved the punishment. She found pleasure in the pain.

photo ed4a6c1397c1f854cb310445b4fada_zpsjgqochuv.gif“The attraction for him goes deeper than the surface. Past the pleasure and pain he inflicts upon me. It’s much more. It’s as though I’m connected to him. Like I belong to him.”

    #dirtyToy1

Braxton's Bunny surprised him. He was intrigued that Jessica continues to push the boundaries with him. He loved the challenge that she illicit. Loved her vibrant sassy feisty personality and her will to fight. Loved knowing that he can unmask her vulnerabilities and strip her naked. But what truly makes this toy different from the rest is that he wants to make her his only toy. Can Braxton break his own rules? Or will Jessica have an expiration date?

photo ed4a6c1397c1f854cb310445b4fada_zpsjgqochuv.gif“Brax and I are cut from the same complicated, dirty cloth. ”

Dirty Ugly Toy was so much more than I expected. I knew going in I was going to read a dark romance but I never expected to fall in love with this book. This book had me dangerously addicted to the ugly, the bad, the good, the pain, the pleasure, the control, the power, the submission, and most importantly to the bond of Braxton and Jessica. K. Webster masterfully had stringed her readers along as she toyed with our emotions in this wickedly sinful addicting story. So if you are looking for a story where a romance began with a dirty ugly toy then I highly recommend you to read this book because maybe it's not about collecting toys but finding the perfect toy for it's owner.

Braxton Kennedy was an American who liked to find his preferred product in London. But his product of choice can’t be found in any posh stores dotting the city. Instead, he scoured his “toy” in the back alleys, looking for homeless, kinless prostitutes to meet his specific proclivities.

Jessica made a living by roaming the backstreet of London for the sole purpose of feeding her addiction. Nothing was off limit as long as she could get her next high. When faced with an opportunity to change her life, desperation made her took it with no question without total understanding what she signed up for.

For some readers, books with content warning make them stay away, but for me it’s an attraction. However, once a book is advertised as a sensitive read, it subconsciously created a certain level of expectations in me. In this case, I’d say it just barely made it.

"By the time I’m done with you, you’re going to beg to be anywhere but near me.”

I did like Brax but sometimes I feel like he was too pussy whipped, too quickly. What annoyed me was how much he talked (in monologue or dialogue to her) about being evil/bad man. I rather see his actions instead.

“I crave to rile you up and provoke you. I like watching the vein in your forehead pulsate when you’re pissed. I like when you tie me up and spank me and treat me like you own me.”

I liked that Jessica (or Bunny for her toy name) was more than who she really was. I did find it amusing how she liked to provoke him. I was counting on the time when she deserved a punishment. Oh yeah… I need to find my own masochistic toy haha!

The book started really well with the highly intriguing prologue. But as it progressed, it started to lose my attention. I like the grittiness and the elements of suspense, however I couldn’t feel the characters (even though they did went through some horrible things) and story direction was quite predictable.

The premise of the book didn’t feel fresh anymore. I don’t mind recycled stories and predictable plot as long as I could feel the characters, which is something very important for me in my reading.

Dirty Ugly Toy is a dark, gritty story of two individuals with broken pasts and how they path changed all in the name of a better future.

    ★★★ 3.5 Stars ★★★

This is going to be a strange one for me to review, on one hand I really enjoyed the semi dark storyline and the journey that both characters went on in order to move on from their equally sordid and devastating pasts, and on the other hand I was left wondering if I really connected enough to the characters for me to like them.

Jessica is a prostitute living in Bolton (which if you are not familiar with UK towns, is part of Greater Manchester and not a very prosperous town and quite frankly, a bit of a shithole - I apologise in advance if you are reading this and you live there).

She is a heroine addict who sells her soul for as little as five quid, and is dirty and broken, inside and out.

When a handsome man with an American accent drives up to her in a posh car, she is offered an opportunity to make some serious cash, and as long as she can get her next fix she is pretty much up for anything.

"I chose you because you're a dirty, ugly toy."

Braxton Kennedy is in search for his new English toy, he has made a habit of picking up broken women and then disposing with them after six months. He wants to hurt them, he gets off on it, but his pleasure comes from turning them from street whores to pretty little toys to play with.

For six months they embark on their contracted relationship and their feelings grown from disdain to something quite unexpected.

There are elements of BDSM, but a very lite version and the story wasn't as dark as I thought it would be, but this is a good thing because I was pleased with the way the story played out.

There was a bit of suspense too, which added to the story very well and although it was a bit predictable at times, it didn't deter me from enjoying the book.

Overall, I thought it was an entertaining read.

Dirty Ugly Toy is a standalone dark romance, told in dual POV.

Braxton Kennedy is back in London and he's looking for a new toy. Jessica is a woman who got off the rails and she's selling her body in exchange for some drugs. She's desperate to find the high she's looking for in order to escape reality and Brax seems to be the one who's willing to give her that in exchange for an agreement where she becomes his toy, or else his Bunny, for the rest six months.

"I'm the hunter in this story and I'm hunting rabbit."

If I could describe this book with one word I would say twisted. Two words fucked up. This story was unique in a way that made me pray that there are no people out there who would be so cruel and play with humans like they are dolls and on the other side I thought that maybe I expected him to be more cruel and he was too soft around her. So two sides of me are fighting about it.

I liked how feisty the heroine was, even though she was playing with fire at times and I was shaking my head at her. At the same time I loved these moments where she would provoke him because it was exactly where it turned interesting.

"I will make her hurt so fucking bad she'll beg to be dirty, cold and homeless again."

I was surprised with the twists and the turn of the events, especially close to the ending. It gave suspense to me and I was curious to see how things were going to develop. However, I have to point at a certain scene that had me thinking...

I do believe that if you like mildly dark reads you'll be satisfied. It's not the darkest read though, so keep that in mind if that's what are you looking for. I did enjoy the way things turned in the end and the epilogue was priceless. I did not see that coming, especially when it came to couples that were formed.

This isn’t a book you want your kids to read, neither is it something you should read if you don’t like reading about violence, because this gets violent. You have been warned.

This is a dark, gritty and twisted story, following two people, Jessica and Braxton. Jessica is a street prostitute and drug addict who lives in the U.K. She is poor and her addiction to heroin makes her prostitute herself for cash or drugs. She’s been a sex slave, she’s been roughly handled, beaten, coerced into sex and abused mentally. Braxton is a very wealthy man with a sadistic, aggressive, fetichistic personality. He is a single and very attractive man of poor childhood. He is sexually dominant and his twisted fetish is to find poor women of low status, break them, and treat them like a worthless toy. He invites them into his house, he provides them with every luxury in return for total submission and rough sex. They both sign a legal 6-month bdsm contract according to which he has to pay them an astronomical amount of money in return for their total submission.

     photo tumblr_mm0y45ASr81rmig2po1_500_zpsytl83ie4.jpg

By the end of the contract period, Brax “gets rid of" his toy and is in search for the next one. He is always brutal and he never gets emotionally intimate with them. I won’t go into what he does to his ‘toys’ now, because it’s not the main focus, but you will see soon enough if you decide to give this a shot.

Brax wants Jessica to be his new "toy". He starts to stalk her to learn her routine and eventually decides to hire her for her “services” and invite her to his house back in the U.S. But, Jessica isn’t like the rest of his toys. She is fearless, she likes being humiliated, she enjoys pain. She begins to like him and is willing to submit to his urges regardless his cruelty. She’s the perfect masochist for Brax and he begins to care about her in his own twisted way. He becomes very controlling of her life and every move, and makes sure she knows it when he doesn’t approve.

But soon Jessica’s deepest, darkest secrets will be revealed. What will Brax do when he finds out that she isn’t British but American, she is highly educated and has excellent social and dining manners? And what will be his “toy’s” fate when the contract expires?

     photo n660359991_2147894_6259_zpsesqxdktx.jpg

The book ended in the best way possible – in a way I didn’t expect. It was the ending I hoped for, I admit. It’s just that I found the story far too long. Occasionally it became wordy, especially towards the end.

Brax was a well written character. Possessive and controlling. Every reaction he had was believable. None of the violence was there for its own sake. It showed either how sadistic Brax was or how it effected Jessica. I recommend this book to all other lovers of dark twisted romance.

**** 4 Dirty Filthy Bunny STARS****

“Jessica Kennedy, I could never hate you,” I whisper and kiss the top of her head. “You actually scare the shit out of me because you’re the furthest thing from hate in my eyes, baby.”

  • Alessandra Torre

Loved it. I needed a break from a normal 'romance' and this was it. Nonstop plot development, this book never lagged and I believed all aspects of the story, including the love that grew. This was the first book I've read of
    K. Webster but I'd love to find something else by her. Any recommendations?

  • Sybil aka Lala

If the movies Pretty Woman and American Psycho ever had an illicit affair, Dirty Ugly Toy would be its bastard child. K. Webster somehow managed to weave together the sweetness of a Cinderella story and the gritty horror of dealing with a villain. But this is not a Disney fairytale, a fact I was reminded of often during the course of this book.

Brax is self-made millionaire with a world of resources at his disposal. He’s also a sadist who enjoys luring women off the streets and humiliating them for his own pleasure. It’s on the streets of London that he finds Jessica, a homeless heroine junkie and prostitute whose life revolves around finding her next hit. She signs a contract effectively giving over all control to Brax and agrees to be his toy to use as he sees fit for the next six months.

As the book progresses and more details surrounding how each of these flawed characters came to be who they are, I was entranced the intermingled grittiness, horror and vulnerability in both their stories. Neither are who they seem to be at first and I loved the connection that formed between them. The author used such explicit detail in her descriptions that I was sometimes revolted and truly shocked. Nothing in this brutal tale has been glossed over or romanticized and a times their interactions had me squirming in discomfort.

I adored both of these characters. Brax was a stony man striving for control and often described as a monster but underneath it all was a sensitive and vulnerable person capable of a lot of love. Often his actions seemed brutal and irrational but it was also followed with a lot of care and sweetness. Jessica has lived through a lot of abuse and degradation yet I admired her resolve and her unwillingness to accept herself as inferior. Dirty Ugly Toy is definitely dark and twisted but it is also a really story of two ugly people finding beauty in each other.

The story is told from a dual POV and there were often poignant glimpses give into their pasts either by specific memories making certain actions all the more powerful, dreams that made these characters vulnerable or stories told to each other that showed a growing connection. I enjoyed the axis of power being tilted as, even though the original agreement between them was that Brax would be in control, Jessica was often the one to take lead of a situation and give comfort when Brax needed it.

A note on the use of BDSM in this book:

Over the past few months I’ve gotten a fairly large bug up my ass about the way BDSM is used in romance/ erotica. Part of the reason I loved this book is because of the way BDSM is portrayed here. Often, BDSM is used as catharsis for a character with a traumatic past and even more often we see the hero lash out at the heroine out of anger. Both of these things are unhealthy and not at all good BDSM practice. Though both happen in this book, I loved the way his actions were admonished by secondary characters making it clear that his actions were wrong and even though he has been traumatized, in the book he enters into these practices with the help and guidance of a sex therapist and psychologist. I thought all things handled in this story were done responsibly and I feel the author needs to be commended for that.

    Safety warning:
There are clear and explicit descriptions of sexual abuse, child neglect, domestic violence and rape. If these are triggers for you – steer clear of this book.

I don't even know where to begin to express my thoughts on this book!

It was dark, and twisted, and pushed me out of my comfort zone. So much in fact, that I spent a good deal of this book with my stomach in knots! I LOVE a good sadist, but Brax's action road the knife edge (and often went over) what I feel comfortable with. Yet, I LOVED him in all his twisted fuckeduperty. He often did things that made me cringe, and feel a little sick to my stomach. Jessica was an easier character to enjoy, but her actions and enjoyment of some of the things Brax did to her where hard for me to wrap my head around. Especially for someone who

So why a 4 star rating? Because this book sucked me in from the get go. It made me uncomfortable, it made me think, it made me sad, and it made me care 100% for these people and what they have been through. The plot flowed nicely, and I never felt compelled to skim for even one second. The secondary characters where interesting, and there was a bit of a twist, though to be honest I kind of figured it out fairly early into the book.

It all wraps up with a nice little epilogue two years in the future. So although I usually stay away for "unsafe books" every once in awhile I like to take a walk on the dark side, and this hit the spot nicely!

    5 toy maker stars.

    This book was abso-fucking-lutely brilliant.

This is the second book I've read by Webster, and like the first one, I am in love with it. I didn't know much about this book before going into it, but I had pretty high hopes because
    Whispers and the Roars
was fantastic, and on my list of favorite books I read this year. But I did not read any GR reviews, just saw the ratings by my friends (which were pretty high), and decided I wanted to read it. Of course that gorgeous cover was also a motivation, because I'm totally shallow like that.

Nineteen toys. Nineteen locks of hair. Nineteen times I’d indulged in my greatest fantasies. I believe the twentieth one will be extra special. And I can’t wait to make her mine. At least for a little while . . .

    Braxton Kennedy.

A 38 year old toy company owner, and hotelier, and obsessed with making pretty out of the filthiest women. Once he's used them and they are no longer shiny and new, he disposes of them and gets a new one. He's done that 19 times. And he's hoping to get someone special for his 20th.

    Cue Jessica. Bunny.

A prostitute. A drug addict. A broken woman.

She gets an offer- 6 months, 500 grands. All she has to do is become the perfect toy for Mr. Kennedy.

    Only she's far from perfect.

She breaks every rule Brax sets for her. Every rule he has set for his other toys. And in doing so, she breaks the toy maker himself.

    I freaking loved them both.

Brax had a haunted past, one he couldn't run away from. So instead of running, he built his empire and dragged his past to his palace again and again, and decimated it in the form of each new toy. He kept saying that he was evil, and that he was Bunny's worst nightmare, but despite that, I really couldn't help falling for him. I especially loved him more because there were none of those bullshit "reasons why I don't/can't love you". He caught her. He made her his, and then he fucking fell in love with her while saving her.

    I respect that.

And let's just talk about Jessica. She was such an amazing person. Even after the terrible past she has had, she was willing to let go of everything and give Brax a chance without her demons stealing them from her. She was perfectly witty, had a fantastic sense of humor and was brilliantly sarcastic. I effing adored that woman from the very start.

    And the sex!

    Holy shit that was h.o.t.

This book was so different from whatever I was expecting it to be. Seriously. The story was brutal, raw, unique, and I should have known from Whispers and the Roars, that Webster does not hold back. The story was masterfully crafted, pulling the reader in until you are left wondering, questioning your own choices of whether to love the characters or not. This book needs to be read with your morality, and preconceived notions about society set aside. It was sinful and addictive and as a reader, I was completely done for. Webster promised me a dark book and it was a fucking dark book I got with a brilliant plot, and amazing writing. Really this woman is fast becoming one of my favorites.

I definitely recommend this book if you want to read something dark & dirty.

"Brax and I are cut from the same complicated, dirty cloth."

“He’s every bit of a warring devil and angel, all wrapped up into one human.”

    Basically Stockholm Syndrome: the novel

Let's start with the positive things about this book:
I really liked the fact that there was a trigger warning for violence, rape, sexual abuse, substance abuse, and dubious consent in the synopsis. It makes the readers aware of what they're getting into before reading this. And that's where all the things I liked about this book ends.

It's just a dumb book portraying the "female fantasy" of getting a man to treat them like a pampered sex slave. The writing was bad. The characters were inconsistent. They go from acting like the devil (ehem brax ehem) to a whining puppy starving for attention after 1 page as well as somebody who hates their new life to somebody who will bend over backwards (literally and figuratively) to please brax and make him fall for her. Wtf?!

Even the side characters were inconsistent. How can they be so loyal to brax after how many years but suddenly change the way they view him after Jessica arrives. He's been like this with his past toys, why are they even surprised or disappointed that he didn't act differently?????

This book worned me out. I need to read something good to purify my eyes.

  • ❁ lilyreadsromance (and other stuffs too) ❁

I think I'm addicted to K. Webster. Between her and Jaimie Roberts, I kept reading fucked up heroes left and right.

In this one, the hero reminded me a lot of Christian Grey but darker (hah!) and grittier. Imagine what would the public consensus would think of this book whereas they'd already massively scandalized FSoG (which imo was pretty tame compared to shits I've read out there). He was hurtful, crazy, obsessive and possessive. He wanted to break her, in order to fix her (by doing things that was super uncomfortable for me, like wtf with the chocolate sharing scene??)

The heroine in this one was also multi-faceted and more complex. She was deeply scarred by the things that have happened in her life, so much so at the face of the monster like Braxton Kennedy, he seemed tamer. I love her courage, fearlessness and most of all she gave as good as she gets it.

However, there were moments in this book that seemed forceful for the sake of tying the knots (especially at the end, I kinda hope they dragged it a little bit more). That and it was kinda slow for me in the beginning with the whole insta lust stuffs but the socks scene redeemed itself.

4.5 stars- review to come 👍

**Read for the 2019 DE A-Z Challenge**

I can’t wait to fuck with her heart and her mind—to push her to the brink of insanity. The ones who are tougher are the most fun to break.

I’ll preface this review by stating that I’m quite partial to this author. I don’t think I’ve ever not enjoyed her stories, and usually I love them, at least the full-length novels. K Webster’s novels usually check all the necessary boxes for me: suspense, originality, twists and turns, and multi-faceted but relatable characters. I also am not usually a fan of the doe-eyed virgin heroine, which this one definitely didn’t have. To be honest, by my scale, this book wasn’t nearly as dark as I expected. It is gritty and intense, and it had triggers, but it isn’t what I would consider a purely dark read.

I want a new toy. One that I can restore. An ugly thing turned pristine and shiny.

When the story starts, Jessica AKA Bunny is in a very dark place. She’s been through hell and is on the run, supporting her heroin habit by selling her body. Lucky for her, that’s exactly what Braxton wants- a girl that has hit rock bottom. He has his own reasons for his desires, as both Bunny and Braxton are complicated people with a lot of well-kept secrets. Braxton has had many “toys” in his day; he becomes their master/savior, and before long, they worship the ground he walks on... before he says goodbye. But as is the running theme in the story, Bunny is different.

I’ve never had a toy like this one before. She’s mouthy and brash and fucking revolting. I’m completely intrigued with her.

Braxton tries his hardest to stick to the script, but it becomes clearly fairly early that he doesn’t have as much power as he thinks he does. I loved their dynamic; Bunny is desperate for money and escape, but she’s not easily broken. That being said, she’s also human. Not only does she crave a connection, but she feels one with Braxton, which is why she puts up with his ever-changing mood swings. I respected her for that, because that was only thing that bothered me about him. I could handle the degradation, humiliation, and the rough sex; all that stuff is easily explained by kink and personal preference (and, of course, life experiences). Additionally, there was always pleasure to go along with it, and Bunny liked it (as did I, but not the point). I do think there’s some truth to the idea that you have to tear something down to rebuild it the right way. However, his volatile mood swings were crueler than anything else he said and did. I think they bothered me because he knew early on that Bunny was special, so all I kept thinking was that he must’ve thought he was too good for her. And that bothered me more than anything else he did, because I can’t stand people like that. Luckily, though, he makes up for this in the end.

”You think I’m the sick one? Oh, baby, you have no idea how sick I am. But this isn’t about me. This is about you. Despite your haughty attitude, you’re not so different. I like hurting and degrading you. And you, my dear, love it when I do it to you. Don’t you?”

The weird thing is, while Braxton’s mood swings are annoying, I do agree with some of the reviewers that he fell for her a little too quickly. That being said, once the twists are uncovered and we find out about the previous toys, that part makes more sense. Deep down, he isn’t the monster he thinks he is; he’s just wounded. Also, Bunny’s ability to deal with him not only showcases her strength, it proves how they really are meant for each other. Now, everything up to this point earned the story four stars. What bumped it higher was the side characters. I loved them all- Cartier, DuBois, Christine... Braxton’s dad. I think they’re why I always had faith in Braxton- you can judge a person pretty easily by the company they keep. All in all, the complicated story of Braxton and Bunny was a total win for me... yet another by this author. It definitely isn’t all rainbows and puppies (like, at all), but it’s real, gritty, and rewarding.

    Pause for a second.
    Stretched into an eternity.
This moment is perfect and real.
And I want to live in it forever.

    3 LION & BUNNY STARS!!

Let's just say... curiosity kill the cat. Miaww... This is my first read from K Webster.
I always attracted to dark side. The blurb was very promising and I'm curious to test my limit with this book. Sadly, there are many things off and didn't spot on until the end. It felt off for me. Definitely not my best read but I will try her other books.

"You'll learn, Bunny. I'm a liar. A bad fucking man. The monster you feared as a child. You're my new toy now—to do with whatever the fuck I please."

I'm shivering for fuck sake. The prologue was really EVIL! But I'm still positive about it. Okay... Let's meet Braxton Kennedy whose searching for his next project. She's the perfect target for him. Jessica 'Rabbit' aka Bunny is a prostitute in the dark ally—somewhere in UK when Brax came with a proposal. Become his toy for the next six month. She will be pay and Jessica is really desperate for money and she didn't know what's she signed up for. Brax supposed to break her and rebuild her again. Unfortunately, she is beyond broken. Something inside Jessica attracted Brax to know what happened with her. His monster need to feed. Bunny is the perfect target.

Honestly, I was scared with Braxton. He has anger management. He always... angry. But when he met Bunny, he soft a bit. Everything Braxton said was cruel and defensive. He admits that he's a sadist; who hurt for pleasure. Not abuser, and Jessica signed up for this. Whatever Braxton did to Jessica, it made him more human. He's a changed man.
"... it won't be sweet and it'll hurt. A lot. But you'll also feel things you've never felt before with a man. I'll own every part of you, inside and out."

Jessica aka Bunny was confused but never scared. She was picked by Brax because she's a dirty ugly prostitue and his toy project. But Jessica is different. I already felt she's already broken. The worse part, she's a junkie. I admit she's kinda shocked me with the sassy attitude. Braxton didn't scare her although he always warned her. Jessica enjoy to annoy him because... it made him hotter than the devil? Yeah, she's a real masochist. I never think Jessica is weak. She's a strong and determined woman whose surprisingly been through worse.
I'm addicted to him. I crave him. I need him more than I ever needed the heroin. Brax is my drug.

Their relationship... didn't work for me. I'm not feeling... sexy with them. Whatever dark and disturbing scenes they had, didn't excited me. I'm so surprise because I feel sorry for them. They just broken souls who met in fucked up circumstances. Their love is strange but it completed each other.

    description

I wouldn't categorize this as dark romance. I'm feeling dejavu about this. It likes a fusion between FSOG and Monster in the Dark series by PW. Tortured rich man who become a hero behind the shadow. BDSM isn't an easy read. Not for everyone. I never know which label for Braxton because, honestly I'm conflicted. His asshole attitude didn't interest me. Sex with Braxton is the only thing real for Jessica. Jessica is the strongest person in this story after everything she has been through.

Overall, Dirty Ugly Toy was a decent and fascinating read. A hard read at first. The writing is still out of the line because too many conflicts in the middle. It made the first 50% is nothing. I almost DNF because Brax-Jessica bored me with their on-off attitude and unnecessary sex. Braxton is a horny spoiled bastard, though. He's the one who has been toying by Jessica because she's different(?). I still didn't get it but whatever. The ending isn't really surprise me but finish in good way. Happy kinkly ever after!

    Rating 3.5 stars
Favorite Quote: "My nearly nonexistent heart thrummed to life—and it beat for another. It beat for her. I was filled with absolute joy. "

    Summary

Jessica has not always had an easy. She’s been through so many traumatic experiences but somehow, she has continued to push through life anyways. Currently, she is in London doing whatever she can to get some money and that means sometimes doing a lot of things she may not want to do. One day out of the blue, a man comes and offers her $500,000 to be somebody’s toy. All she has to do is be somebody’s toy for six months and she’s going to receive half $1 million, to Jessica that seemed like the perfect deal and accepts instantly. Braxton Kennedy is currently on his 20th toy; For the past couple years, every six months he gets a new woman to use as his toy. But it seems as if Jessica will be the death of him. Unlike most toys Jessica is not quick to conform to how he wants her to be. Instead, she talks back, she has an attitude, and she finds it amusing to annoy Braxton. However, instead of being annoyed by Jessica, somehow, she’s making his cold heart beat again. So, what will happen to Jessica and Braxton when the six months are up?

    Review

First off, I want to say that this was my first K Webster book and I actually really liked it. I think K Webster is a really good writer. Her prologue was amazing, and I loved how it all tied back at the end. And I really liked the development of Jessica and Braxton as a couple and individuals. I love the suspense of finding out what happened to Jessica and Braxton in their individual past.

However, I obviously did not love this book since I’m giving at 3.5 stars because I did have some complaints. As I mentioned before the plot was articulated pretty well. My only downfall was that there was a time jump that really annoyed me. As soon as we’re getting to know Braxton and Jessica a little more through their dom/sub relationship, the novel skips a couple months. It was a bit insta-lovey as it went from them hating each other to Brax never wanting to let her go. The only reason I let that slide was because they were so cute that I couldn’t even be mad at them for wanting to be with each other.

So onto the romance, I really like Braxton and Jessica together. I love the enemies to lovers relationship they had. And I loved in the beginning how Jessica, even though Braxton was so dominating and technically her master, she did not let him boss her around. This novel definitely also had the grumpy/sunshine trope, so I loved their dynamic. Additionally, I loved reading them fall in love with each other. I think K Webster wrote that really well. They were actually just so adorable throughout the book.

As for the characters I equally enjoyed them both. Braxton was your typical, antihero asshole but I really liked learning about his past; his past trauma really explained who he is now. Even though he was supposed to be an asshole he was so sweet to Jessica; he was so in love with her. Jessica is our survivor. She has been through so much and it was hard reading all that she went through. But I was amazed at the woman she became at the end. I also just think that she was hilarious.

Additionally, the smut was really good! This book was dark, gritty and crossed some lines but I really loved it. K Webster showed how to write a good dark romance. So in all, I definitely will be checking out more of her books.

  • Radd Reader

“Tears roll down her bright red cheeks and her garbled pleas become more frantic with each passing mile. Dubois trussed her up tight at the estate—her wrists fastened behind her back with a zip tie, a matching one around her bare ankles, and a scarf strung through her open mouth to the point of nearly gagging her. She’s most likely cut the flesh on her arms from trying to escape. The thought of blood smeared over her olive skin sends a surge of excitement through my veins.”

Now, when a book starts like that, you sit up and pay attention. Back straight, eyes glued to the page, heart beating out of my chest, tension throughout my body.....yup, I was engaged.

This book isn’t for the faint of heart and will most likely push you out of your comfort zone. The characters deal with harsh realities and tragic outcomes. There is nothing sweet about this book, except for the sweet parts. Huh, you might say?

Yes, there are some sweet moments between Brax and Jessica on their road to recovery. But, in order to get to the sweet parts you need to walk through a mountain of sludge, and it’s not pretty.

If you can handle a dark read, you should pick this up. It’s K Webster, so of course the writing is amazing and the story will leave you breathless. At the heart of this is an incredible story of survival and you will not be disappointed in the outcome.

  • Nana

    well, well..

    this was so hot

I don't usually read much dark romance/taboo/forbidden, but hmm as I was in the mood I said why not

and always the first author that comes to mind is, of course, K. WEBSTER, i have a love-hate relationship with her, many books i have not liked, others if and some others i will never read them, i will read all type of books of this as long as the main subjects are not, incest, much difference of age or nonconsensual sex, and scenes of physical abuse.

This was an intense story, but nothing that my mind couldn't handle, so i enjoyed it, but i found it hard to believe that Jessica (Bunny) would give up her drug addiction too soon, i don't know, but at first it looked pretty fucked up and it evolved very quickly that didn't feel real.
Brax is addicted to sex and playing with his toys so his chapters felt like they were repeating the same inner thoughts all the time, and he kept comparing his old toys to his current one, maybe that frustrated me a little.

The best part was the sex scenes, and not just because they were fucking hot and twisted, but because Jessica and Brax have a great chemistry and connection that you feel from the beginning, they are dirty, broken, raw, and totally fucked up, but wow my dirty mind, all the time was supporting them until the ending.

P.S. The epilogue seemed like something out of a cheesy fairy tale, haha i had a good laugh, but it was good.

  • Michelle

    Wow. Just fucking wow.

Dirty Ugly Toy takes you into the depths of the dirty and depraved mind of Braxton Kennedy as he seeks out his next toy. Jessica “Bunny” Rabbit, Toy number 20. She’s nothing but a whore and addict. Something that Brax can clean up and make shiny just to dirty up all over again.

A man who has everything he could have ever dreamed of but who is still living within the nightmares of his childhood, Braxton has discovered the only way he can cope with the life he was lucky enough to escape. Bunny was just another toy in the line of whores he seduced with the promise of money, but she turned out to be so much more.

As the story moves forward you come to realize that Brax isn’t the only one with a past that haunts him. Jessica’s life of whoring and drugs wasn’t so much of a choice, but it soon became the only way she could escape her own hell. Falling for the man who bought you for six months wasn’t what she signed on for, but soon it becomes inevitable.

I could not put this book down. I loved the complicated love story, the way the past lived in the present for both these characters. I was at war with myself over my feelings for Braxton from the start. Such a complex, damaged character. There were really only one time that I wanted to strangle him and it was a possessive moment for me. I really struggled, out of all the shit that happens in this book, this was the only time I felt a twinge of anything unsavory.

Dirty Ugly Toy was exceptional from start to finish. I loved the way this story was layered. As the story moves forward, you get these glimpses of the past and you begin to construct the mind of Braxton. We have to rely on our instincts as the man himself pushes us to the very edge. Do we trust? Do we run for the hills?

    K. Webster is a-fucking-mazing. If you love your romance with a big ole heaping spoonful of fucked up, you need to add this to your list of books to read.

  • Selene

    3.75 stars

This story (and Braxton Kennedy) was just soooo twisted, vulgar, and vile! Yes, there's a bunch of degradation, dark humor, deplorable actions and insults, dubious consent foolery, etc. featured in this book.

     photo image_zpsnh63zdif.gif

Both main characters were hardened at a young age by the cruelty of life. Braxton was arrogant, difficult to like, and OTT, but his thoughts were humorous and I always wanted to know what he would say next. He was cruel at times, had mommy issues, a fetish for prostitutes, and I loathed him, in spite of his poor-me upbringing. Jessica Dixon was beaten down so badly by life that she barely had a sliver of self-esteem holding her together. And once I got over the shock of Braxton's bastard ways, I enjoyed this heroine's strong-willed actions and the way she liked to push all of his buttons. The way she learned how to read his mannerisms was an art form! She knew just when to contradict every request he imposed on her and I liked the constant battles and internal drama that played out between them. It took a few chapters for me to adjust to the author's writing style, but I got hooked on this story, nevertheless. It also took almost the entire length of the story for me to warm to the tone of the book, as well as to these wicked, gritty, and entertaining characters. Their dialogue together was very, uh--unique!

Watching Brax and Jessica's dysfunctional relationship morph into something more meaningful was challenging. Partly because Brax was unhinged, maladjusted, and unbalanced. But even with those traits, he came off as really mean, but not completely evil.

Snippets of his foolery? Braxton went from having these thoughts:

-It’s as if she belongs here as my equal instead of my toy. I want to show her that she’s trash. Hired fucking trash.
-I want to tell the stupid bitch to sit down but she seems so sure of herself.

    But he converted to this:

-She may get high on street drugs.
    But I’m high on her.

I struggled to rate this book and flirted with rating it at three stars from the beginning up until I got to the 80 percent mark. The word "toy" was used excessively and it grated on my nerves! It was used 251 times, and while there were elements of this story that I liked, there were just as many that I didn't care for. But here's the thing: the author knows how to tell a story well and the character development was flawless. The side characters had their own interesting intensity about them (Cartier and Dubois) and they were hilarious at times. The dialogue at the end became uber-sweet and terribly cheesy, but it sort of worked. In the end, it was the epilogue that won me over because it wasn't narrated by either of the main characters, but it was that special POV that made this entire story feel whole.

  • Mirjam

And when I’m fully pressed into her, I feel completely whole. She and I clinging together with our baby safe between us.

This is a really dark and twisted story and ends with two broken and ugly (on the inside) souls finding beauty within each other. The story begins with Braxton getting rid of toy #19 and leaves you in shock and horror of what is happening. You do not get what that is, until almost at the end. But this scene does sets the mood for rest of the book. There are some contradictions, like in Las Vegas Braxton says he does not share his toys but that is exactly what he ends up doing, and it seems to be a regular thing he does with all this toys....
Altogether , it was a full-of-angst, terrifying and heartbreaking but beautiful story.

    Book: Dirty Ugly Toy
    Written By: K. Webster
    Genre: Erotica (BDSM)
    Rating:5 /5 stars
Cover Love:5 /5 This cover is absolutely beautiful. Probably one of my favorites that I have ever had in my possession. They say not to judge a book by its cover but look at it! *drools*

    Recommendation:Buy it!

Would you read another book by this author?:
I would pay full price for them, and I prefer to only buy used books at $4 or less.

    Who might enjoy this book?:
If you loved Fifty Shades of Grey. This book delivers all the things the FSOG series did, but in one book.

    Overview:
This book tells the gripping tale of Braxton Kennedy and his obsession with taking drug addicted women off the streets and “reforming” them to normalcy, while degrading them and breaking their minds.

On he hunt for his newest toy he finds Jessica (aka “Bunny), who is eager to take his offer of a large sum of money for 6 months of her time. She imagines all the drugs she can buy to make her forget the darkness of her past- and present.

This book was not what I expected. I came across this author when someone in one of my book reading groups recommended one of her other books, which I couldn’t find anywhere. When I saw the cover of this book I fell in love. I read the excerpt on Goodreads, and just had to purchase it immediately.
I don’t regret this purchase one bit, as this is one of the most satisfying reads I’ve had in a very long time.

While marketed as Erotica (BDSM), this book is very suspenseful and thrilling. The sexual scenes give the book a spice to them, but the bones of the story are beautiful. This book took me to places I didn’t expect to go. I found myself with goosebumps and wet eyes at points. Twists and turns throughout created a wonderful story with a solid background and explanations into what made each character who they are as a person.

    Definitely a MUST READ.

    Issues while reading:
    - When I came across this book, I didn’t realize it was published through CreateSpace (yay for self publishing!). My book is marked on the last page as being made on October 31, 2017, which is the date I had my boyfriend order it for me. I received the book in the mail on November 2, 2017 and the quality of the production is slightly flawed. The pages in the middle are wavy and separated, as is the cover. Normally this would not be something to address in a review- but I find it important for other potential readers to know the quality of the new books they are ordering. This is in no way the authors fault, but a publisher error. (This problem was resolved by keeping the book under the weight of other books!)
    - The size of this book doesn’t feel like quite a good fit. It’s a 5x8 but I feel a 5.5x8.2 would have been a better size. (Again, another publishing issue.) It just doesn’t feel as comfortable to read as other books of similar length.

I'm at a loss for words. In the very beginning I almost put this book down. (DON'T DO IT!!) But I love K. Webster so much, I knew that things aren't always as they seem.

"I might now be considered his toy, but when my mind folly returns to its twisted capacity, I'm going to toy with his whole goddamned life."

This is it for me. This is the it for the whole book. Braxton Kennedy finds Dirty Ugly Toys and takes care of them, until he no longer needs them. When he chooses Bunny, it doesn't take long for him to realize that one of these is not like the others. Bunny is going to give him the ride of his life.

This book blurs the lines of right and wrong. Of what is acceptable in polite society and what isn't. But in affairs of the heart, what's acceptable in polite society is rarely acceptable. Love is an adventure, can be dangerous and is always a leap of faith. There were moments I wanted to cry for Bunny and Braxton. There were moments that I couldn't breathe for them. This book evoked so many emotions from me that, upon completion of reading Dirty Ugly Toy, I wasn't even sure how I felt. What just happened? I of course loved it, but even as I sit here attempting to write my review, I anticipate revamping it later.

Love. Hate. Danger. Adventure. Faith. Right. Wrong. These are all words I associate with Dirty Ugly Toy. Notice, I didn't mention dirty or ugly. Yes, their pasts were both of those things, but as people, they were neither of those things despite their pasts. They just needed to find the other piece to their puzzle to make them whole. ~ Heather, 5+ stars

Let's get what I didn't like about the story out of the way.

Jessica's addiction. I felt like it was rushed. From what I know she was addicted to one of the hardest drugs to get clean from. So where was her being sick and battle through it? The story needed this.

Braxx. Not that I didn't like him, there will be more of why I liked him, but his change towards the end. So drastic and too sweet. I liked his tough exterior better. He could've remained somewhat of the same. It had a major effect on my rating.

The end. Rushed. Why do I think? It took too long for the good stuff to happen. I complain about long books all the time but if it's necessary information than add that in. I hate feeling like damn something is missing or I wish there was more to that. I guess it was ok to see the HEA through someone else's eyes.

Now on to what I enjoyed.

The suspense. As I began reading it I wondered why does he need these toys and why does he only keep them for 6 months? The way the book begins automatically makes Braxx seem like a monster who only preys on prostitutes. And he does. But why?

Motive. There's a good one. Although it's like bat shit craziness but in the end it all made sense.

Villains. No I don't like them. But they played a great part in this evil crazy train. Talk about needing some meds.

Jessica. She's ok. Fighter. A little on the masochist side but after her break through she moved on to wanting more. His favorite toy. His Bunny.

Brax. Oh Brax. I don't think he's meant for you to like him, unless you like men who treat women like trash, then by all means. To each their own. Did he make my Book BF list? No, but he has those likable qualifications I like from men in my dark reads. The power and control they crave can be a little over the top and man Brax is over the top at times. The man can enter a beautiful dream and make it into your worse nightmare. When you get a glimpse of his flashbacks that's when you realize why he is so messed up.

    Why should you read it?

Because you want to join the crazy train like us. Because you want to know why this man steals toys, fixes them and disposes them. Because you want to know what makes this last toy different then them all. A creative storyline with 2 characters who are so much more alike then they think possible.

The HEA. I said there was one. I didn't say it was their HEA. A prostitute and a man who steals them, do you think they deserve one? How crazy would that be? *zips lips*

When I first saw this cover I fell in LOVE!
Then I read the blurb and I was like yes I NEED this book NOW!

When it landed on my kindle I was giddy with excitement and you know what it did not disappoint.

Braxton Kenndy was pure filthy sex and I fell so hard for him. He made me tingle in every area that counts. He was dangerously sexy and I wanted to be his toy. He was a man that wasn't necessarily cruel but he tired to be. What you get at the beginning you don't get at the end and I loved that about him. When you have a peak into his childhood it breaks you heart, and in some respects you understand everything he does, But I'm going to leave it at that because I don't want to spoil anything for you. Just know he definitely one sexy sexy ass male.

Jessica God I adore her so much. She broke my heart over and over again. I just wanted to be that friend that she needed. I just love her. At times she had me like oo did you really go there girl? That mouth of yours is going to get you fucked up, but I wouldn't change her for the world. Braxton needed someone to come into his life and change up the game. And boy did she change it up. She deserved all the love in the world. She deserved the nice things in life, because what she had gone through was horrible no women deserved her life before Braxton.

This is my first book by Author K Webster and it certainly won't be my last. I devoured this book. It consumed me, I wanted more even though it didn't need more. Jessica and Braxton will live in my heart forever. I only had one issue and that was I felt Jessica's addiction got brushed under the carpet, I needed a lot more in that area because of what she was addicted too. I didn't feel it was true to her character, but regardless this book is definitely a MUST READ. It wil have your heart racing and your panties WET!! Go one click you won't be disappointed.

This is the first book I have read by the author; K Webster, and I am now eager to see what else she has to offer. I mean WOAH. This book really tugs at the heart. It is extremely dark (there are a lot of instances of abuse) and blurs so many lines in terms of right and wrong that my head was spinning! At first, I wasn’t sure if I was ever going to take to the “hero”, Braxton. He is mean, cunning, and sadistic. But the author really proves that one can be evil and a truly great human all at the same time. YIKES! This is a really great book and one that I highly recommend to ANYONE who enjoys a darker but sexy read.

“Bunny” is the heroine of this story. Having had a tough life (you must read the story to find out WHY) she eases her pain by using heroine. Being drug addicted, Bunny will do ANYTHING to get her next fix… So when a car pulls up offering her $500,000 to spend 6 months with the man inside, she knows she has hit the jackpot. But this man has something else planned for her… And Bunny doesn’t realize the trouble she is about to endure…

Braxton doesn’t like to see women selling their bodies for their next fix. So he has made it his life to “fix” these women by making them his toys. Being a toy means these women will need to do anything he wishes (sexually etc.) for the time they spend with him, and he will then reward them with payment. But he gets more than he bargained for with Bunny. Because instead of being meek and doing everything he desires, she is feisty and not afraid to say something. Will Braxton’s dark side turn her away from the money? Or will these two suffer together through their dark days and pasts?

For those who are intrigued about this book (read it, read it!), make sure you have some tough skin because this one definitely pushes the boundaries. Readers will go on a dark and twisted journey with these two damaged characters, and they may or may not like what happens to them. At some points while reading, you may have to look away from the pages. Because this book is DARK. At other times, your heart will swell with joy. Do you dare to read it?? I highly recommend it. But be sure to listen to the warning attached :D
