Halfway Round the Harbour: An Autobiography Reviews

Very readable. I particularly enjoyed reading about his (fairly comfortable) war years. And his time in nz politics was also a short interesting diversion. My goodness but he is proud of all the women he shagged, with it not slowing down when he got married. Definitely one of the older men who benefited from the 60s sexual revolution. His references to female colleagues looks and phd students that he got friendly with, would be enough to get him well and truely cancelled now. It was interesting to see as late as the 90s (when this book was published) his womanising was meant to indicate that he was a sophisticated man of the world.
