Wild Hearts (Castle View #1) Reviews

I found this book quite endearing and enjoyed it a lot. The characters and storyline were believable. I enjoyed the back and forth friction/passion between the main characters, Abigail and Mark. The supporting characters helped to round out the story. And the tigers!! A tiger sanctuary in Idaho that needs saving-- can Abigail save it?? Will she be able to find love with her high school sweetheart, or will she be raising her daughter alone? I'm so glad that I read this book. :)

Lynn Cahoon has written a charming small-town contemporary romance. This is Abigail & Mark Castle’s story.

Abigail & Mark grew-up in Castle View, Idaho. His family owns a farm that his dad expanded with a winery, restaurant and bengal tiger sanctuary. After his father dies, Mark returns home at the request of his mother to run the Castle businesses. Financially, the sanctuary is bleeding red and could bankrupt the entire organization.

Abigail, an only child, returned to Castle View with her sassy six-year old daughter, Becca. Abigail was hired by Mark’s father prior to his passing, to run the cat sanctuary. On her first day of work, Mark Castle, her boss & teenage crush, stops by and tells her that she has 6-months to bring in outside funding, or the sanctuary will close. Not quite the welcoming she expected, but she’s determined to raise her daughter in the small northern Idaho town and provide the safety that Seattle didn’t.

Wild Hearts is the first book in this series and introduces you to the Castle family and their closest employees. Becca is a rambunctious little girl with enormous sass and keeps all the adults in their toes. I appreciate the tie of Family that beings this book full circle and know many readers will like it too. This is a clean romance story without swearing and sex scenes. It’s perfect for an afternoon read or at bedtime.
