As Lianna is enjoying new found success with her interior design firm, Periwinkle, Clara turns to the women of the village for company. The once inseparable duo find themselves at different points in the lives and for the first time in their friendship, the cracks start to show.

Will motherhood turn out to be everything that Clara ever dreamed of?

Which naughty neighbour has a sizzling secret that she so desperately wants to keep hidden?

Laugh, smile and cry with Clara as she embarks on her journey to motherhood. A journey that has some unexpected bumps along the way. Bumps that she never expected...

Chick Lit | Pregnancy & Motherhood | Part of a Series

As 2019 is winding down I’m finding myself wanting to read more books in previously loved genres. I tend to read a LOT of romance books and while I love them deeply, I find it hard to constantly read them because I always know how they’ll end. While the journeys that each character goes through are what makes the books unique readers always know that the coveted HEA will be reached. That being said, I decided to continue on reading the Clara Andrews series as it’s beloved to me. Clara is a fun character and reading about her life and all the changes and accomplishments that take place put a smile on my face. I love the chick lit genre, it’s the genre that got me into reading, and this series is the epitome of it,

In this installment, Clara is tackling motherhood. Having a new baby isn’t as easy as some new mothers expect, and Clara’s story really makes this clear in a laugh out loud kind of way. Not only this, secrets about neighbors and gossiping friends are prominent through the book and it’s up to Clara to figure out the truths in terms of the rumors and who her true friends are.

If you’re a fan of chick lit novels, I recommend this series! This is especially true if you love the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella and/or the I Heart series by Lindsey Kelk.

This book is so ordinary it could be non fiction. It starts with the unpleasantness of being over due. The the pain of child birth.. Dealing with relatives. Trying juggle friendship and being a new mom. Them she tries making new friends in her new town and finds out they aren't what she thought. Then Clara and her family move back into town where they all are happier and all her true friends are close by.

    Fun romance

This is the next book in this short story series by Ms. London that I've read. Clara can be dense at times in funny ways. Feelings get hurt, but love abounds.

Meet baby Morgan, book 5 in the Clara Andrews series was a really good read. The birth of their baby actually bought a lump to my throat in some places. It's remarkable how a book can nudge memories of your own baby stories, that have laid dormant and bring them right to the forefront of your memory. Clara is lucky to have her parents and Oliver's parents on hand after the birth. What could be a very tense experience with her MIL has now mellowed and both allow each other the good grace to act and behave just the way they both want. Now in a new more family suitable home, Clara has to find her feet in this new village, making new friends along the way. Things are not always as they seem but it's great to see that Clara's gut feeling prevails in the end. What I loved about this book is a very short epilogue that sets us up nicely for book 6 in the series. A 5 star read.

    Love love love

I cannot get enough of Clara and the gang. This was a great read, although I was surprised at where it started, I was expecting to read more about the pregnancy and how Clara and Oliver coped. Having saying that, it did not disappoint.

I was getting worried, especially when you move away become a mother and make new friendship this would have an effect on the Clara and Li's relationship.

What I loved most about this book us how it made me reminisce about my own pregnancies and how I changed, and more so how my life changed.

Another fantastic instalment to the Clara Andrews/Morgan series, congrats to Lacey London who has again managed to make the reader relate so well with Clara and the gang.

Looking forward to the next instalment.

This series just keeps getting better. This is a fast paced, fun read with lots of different threads. A move to the country, new friendships, trying to keep track of old friendships - oh and a new baby. My favourite thing about this series is that it's about life - ordinary, everyday, sometimes mundane and often chaotic life and it is never clear than in this story. Life isn't perfect - all the characters have their own issues and don't always handle them in the best manner. Our judgement can be clouded by the simplest of things and there are times when we don't see what should be obvious. Such problems make for an interesting tale and, I was hooked right 'til the end. A great read.

    Fabulous

Once again I was left wanting more. I feel like part of "the gang" when I'm reading the books in this series. Its a bit of an emotional rollercoaster-one minute your laughing, then the next you're feeling sad with the characters. Definitely worth reading the books in this series.

The book was fine. There are real life lessons to be learned as you go through her story of being a mother.

The ending was the best as it would definitely lead you to book 7 which is really fun and exciting. Can't say much as i don't want to be able to reveal the details of the book. Happy reading!
