CASH
My life has been about three things- brotherhood, good times, and women. Easy. Nothing complicated. That was until Willow Swift came barging back into my life, face bloodied, banging at the gates of The Henchmen compound calling in a favor owed. Now a marker is a marker and I had to make good, but if there was one woman in the world I didn't need in my life, it was the hard-as-stone, hot-as-sin Willow Swift and whatever mysterious ghosts from her past that were haunting her present.
WILLOW
My life has been nothing but two things: hard and complicated. The last person I wanted in my business was the notorious love-em and leave-em Cash, but I needed help and he was the only one I could lean on without worrying about him finding out about my past. But I was starting to wonder if maybe he was his own kind of dangerous bent on tearing down some things I had long since learned were not possible for me- like falling for a guy I could not, ever, let see the real me.
While this can be read as a stand-alone, you will get more out of this book if you read "Reign" and "Monster" first.

Cash (Navesink Bank Henchmen MC, #2) Reviews

4 Stars
I really liked this one.
It offered nothing original, nothing all that edgy, and nothing that will blow your mind or anything, but it was a good solid read.
I really enjoyed Cash. He's my favorite type of manwhore and JG did a really good job with his delivery. Sometimes the manwhore character can come off as a cheesy douche canoe, but such was not the case here for me.
I've seen people refer to JG as an "author to watch" and an author with a lot of "potential" and I absolutely agree. Her writing is solid and her storytelling and fluidity improves with every book of hers I read.
If you like MC-lite with just a bit of an edge, this is a good MC series for you. My favorites are still the Aces, The Hades Hangmen, the Reapers, and my beloved CM Owens crew, but the Henchmen are super likeable.
I will say that both of the books I've read so far in this series focus less on the club itself and more on a particular member's actions outside of the club - actively excluding the club, actually - but there still is that sense of brotherhood amidst the characters, so I feel pacified in that respect.
Looking forward to Wolf's story.

"Then night came, her ass landed in my bed, and I got it all."
Willow ran from her past and left the hurt behind her. Now she's the kick ass leader of Hailstorm that no one dare betray. But when her past, that she thought was long dead and buried, comes back to haunt her she admits defeat and asks for help. Going to Reign for a favor he owe's was her plan - not getting stuck with Cash, Reign's too good looking brother, who she can't stand.
Cash wants nothing to do with Lo or the drama she brings to his club, but when she shows up with a bruised face he can't just let her walk away. He takes her under his wing and vows to hurt the person that dared to put their hands on her. He didn't realize how deep her secrets went, though.
I love kickass heroines and that definitely describes Lo! She didn't bow down to her painful past, she moved past it in a total badass way, and I applaud her for that. I loved the how unconventional her character was, and it was really what took this book from being good, to being amazing.
Cash was the perfect man for her, hot, Alpha, and didn't take any of Lo's shit. I loved the back and forth they had, and that little bit of fight of dominance they had going on. It made their relationship really interesting and I couldn't wait to see who would come out on top. Oh did I forget to mention that Cash was friggin' hot as hell? 'Cause he was!
This author quickly became one of my favorites because her style of writing is so captivating. I easily get sucked into her stories, and even picture myself as apart of everything. To me, that's the sign of an amazing author. Overall, this story was great and I recommend for anyone that loves a kickass heroine finally getting her perfect Alpha man.
P.S: How awesome is this...

I d luv a bit of Cash ; )
Lo is a total bad ass she is the head of Hailstorm an Ye she's a woman not many people think Lo is still woman cause she runs Hailstorm they don't really ask for help they deal with the own stuff like I said she is bad ass she didn't need a man to look after her or help her her life was a lot different when she was younger her mum died when she was small so it was just an her dad an lets just say he was great made her do womanly things cause that's what a woman is meant to do so once she got away she built up Hailstorm an as never looked back her gang as both man an women an that how liked it she is a hard woman to crack
Cash is the vice prez of the Henchman's him an his brother took over from is dad Reign is the prez an Cash as alway look up him Cash's life is go with the flow once everything is go with the MC an there is drink an woman life was just great he had a reputation of bein a manwhore an he didn't really care once the woman were willing so was he but there was 1 woman that he asnt been able to get out of his head Lo isn't a woman Cash would really have much in common with but she was totally gorgeous everything about her had is lower part twitching but she wouldn't give him a min this just made Cash want her more
This book started of with a bang an I mean a bang there was so much drama goin on through this book I couldn't put it down I had to know what was goin to happen there was Cash an Lo an the sexual tension then there was Janie went AWOL with Wolff watch had me dyin to know more an Lo getting so beaten so bad that she needs from the Henchman an then the bombings I swear my head couldn't take it al but it was amazing so much action an the sexual tension between Cash an Lo was so hot but them both tryin to get one up on each an Lo fightin to hold of to her walls though Cash was bashing them down so quick she could keep up she had never seen the caring side to Cash she just saw the arrogant an cocky manwhore but not matter how much they didn't like each other they just had to have each other an once they start that was it Cash an Lo had to go through a lot in this book an some parts were scary for Lo she was goin through things she thought were in her past an they came back with bang but Cash wouldn't let anything happen to her
I was delighted when I seen this was goin to b Jessica's next book I luvd it I could put it down like I said her writing is so good an I dragged into the story from the first page I thought Cash was super hot in Reigns book an he was just as great in this book this book as set a few scenes for other characters which as me super excited I m dyin to Wolff's book and we even got more of Shooter I really can't wait to c what Jessica as up her sleeve for the rest of the gang xxx

Cash had me hooked from the moment I started until the epilogue! Lo is one tough cookie and she better be. She had suffered physical, mental and sexual abuse but she managed to recover. She picked up her pieces, rebuilt herself and now she is stronger than she's ever been.
She’s badass, sassy, beautiful and smart, and she refuses to be underestimated! Circumstances beyond her control place her in touch with the Henchmen motorcycle club and Cash.
Cash is a hot biker guy, and takes no crap from anyone. He’s also loyal to the bone and would do anything to keep the club safe. Unfortunately, long dead secrets from a troubled past come back to haunt Lo, her world begins to crumble around her and Lo is forced to turn to Cash. She will have to learn to trust him and accept his help. The sexual chemistry between them is damn hot and the sex scenes with these two are sinfully good.
Lo is a very strong female character. The author gives her a lot of inner strength and when her past comes back to haunt her, it shakes up who she is but doesn’t change her determination to protect the people around her. With the impending danger and threat towards her and the MC, she's thrust into the care of Cash. Though he knows that Lo is untouchable, the fireworks and chemistry is undeniable.
The author’s ability to bring her characters and create a undeniably enticing plot is amazing! The story is beautifully written, witty, and steamy. If you’re in the mood for a new MC read definitely pick this one up. You won't be disappointed.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. I fell in Love with Cash & his personality in Reign book,,, I took my sweet time reading this book , so I could fully enjoy it... Cash is the brother of Reign and second in command of the MC The Henchmen. He always full of sarcastic humor and a manwhore. when it comes to the ladies he loves them all ...... Cash has never liked Lo very much & has never understood his body's physical reaction to her when she is near.
Lo' is a total bad ass and she is head of Hailstorm. She is that kind of woman who's calling the shots and never rely on others. Until one day her past caught up with her & leaves her bloodied and bruised she calls in a marker from The Henchmen for protection – as Cash was the one at the MC club house when she showed up he decided he was the one that would provide that.
I didn't realize that I needed to read (Monster) by Jessica Gadziala
Shooter made an appearance in it...
We got Lil glimpse into Janie's past in this book ...I can't wait for Shooter and Wolff's story.

I really enjoyed this book!
So you like my naked body, huh?I don't blame you.
It's pretty fucking amazing. They should built statues of me.
I was so excited about Cash's book because I fell in love with him since the first time I read about him...(in Reign's book)he was funny, badass, sweet, hot, delicious with a great body!
"Tuck your tongue back in your mouth, Cash."
"Oh, sweetheart. If you had any idea what I could do with my tongue,
there's no way you'd br telling me to tuck it back into my mouth."
I liked the story and I read about some of the characters that I had come to love like (Reign & Summer,Wolf,Repo,Janie and of course Shooter).
"I'm just going ahead and say what everyone else here is thinking.
This has got to be the weirdest fucking wedding that has ever happened."
The story was about Lo and her past that came crushing into her present. She suffered a lot when she was younger so she left all that behind and became the badass leader of the Hailstorm...She didn't want to involve them in her issues so she asked a favor from the Henchmen MC and what she got was so much better than she asked for....ohhh yeah it was Cash who saved the day...
They were attracted to each other BUT they didn't like each other...Cash was as usual flirting and charming his way trying to get in her pants but sweet and gentle at the same when he touched her! They had good chemistry and some hot scenes...the only thing that kind of bothered me was that Lo was in denial about her feelings and trying to push Cash away for the most part...and Cash was great by being patient and giving her space...
Ohhh and they were Hooot for each other...
We see a lot of this....
This was his way of making her forget her physical pain...
a GREAT way huh...???That's what I thought!!!
"So you know my tits, huh?"
"You mean my top two favorite parts of your body?"
"Top two?"
"Tits, smile, c*nt, eyes, ass."
"Am I overestimating my skills, Lo?"
"N...no."
"I'm the fucking best you're ever had. aren't I?"
"Yes."
"And what do you want me to call you?"
"B...baby...."
"There it is.Now you know what the fuck I am capable of,
what my reputation with wpmen has afforded me.
Now you want my cock Lo,you're gonna have to ask for it.
I'm done with this shit."
The scene with the ice cube all over her body...?That was HOOOT!!!
Also an unexpected couple was Wolf & Janie!
And Ms.Jessica I didn't see that coming....
Now you got me all excited and I just finished Cash!
Well played Ms. Jessica, well played! ;)

Absolutely loved Cash- expected no less. Jessica Gadziala has become one of my go to authors- if she writes...I will read, and I absolutely love her Henchman (and Savages) series.
Cash is Reign's [insert sigh] brother in blood and in the Henchman MC. He is a cocky manwhore with a filthy yet sweet talking mouth but he also is sweet and flirty and totally swoon worthy.
This book picks up rt where Monster ended... I've said a million times, I LOVE how JG ties her series together!!!
Cash is drooling over Lo who is a badass independent h and leader of Hailstorm.
The banter between these 2 is amazing, hilarious and HOT. He is always saying something to test her and she is determined not to let him in .
We come to learn that Lo has lived a horrible past, one that was a total shock considering how strong she is. She has sworn off love and, of course, Cash is fighting to break down her walls and in the meantime he just might get "whipped" in the process.
As always, action is thrown in and page after page of twist and turns- and shit if she didn't add to the mystery of Wolf and Janie... And Shooter.. OMG ;)
I love how these peoples lives intertwine when we least expect it and I am always left hungover and wanting.
I'm left DYING for Wolf and Shooter.
More. More. More. PLEASE!!!
I rec'd an ARC from the author for honest review. Best dedication EVER :)
Thank you JG!!! -

Let me start this by saying that I write a lot of my reviews in the middle of the night when I can't sleep and my brain decides its time to party. That's why a lot of the time they make no sense and I ramble. Kinda like now.
I loved the first Henchmen MC book Reign. It was hot, it was gritty, it was addictive. And I was always a bit wary of this one because - 1, Cash just came across as a whoring joker -2, I couldn't see him coming anywhere close to Reign's hotness and 3, older women/ younger men aren't really my 'thing'. So this is were I say a big BUT. I loved Cash; it's hard not to. Yes he's tough and sexy but he's also loveable.
Lo - In the 1st book she was bad-ass. In this book (for me) - she was meh. Dare I say a bit too girly for my liking and just generally not what I expected at all.
And this was a bit slow in parts. Not a great deal happened til the last 50 or so pages. Clearly I still enjoyed this, because I gave it 3 stars, but there was something missing for me between Cash and Lo. While it's made clear right from the start that they find each other attractive, I didn't FEEL it, and because of that I was a bit detached through everything.
Big BUT time again - the last 15% and that epilogue. Seriously Jessica G you wench. You nailed it. After reading it that hay fever I don't have suddenly appeared and gave me a case of watery eye. I only wish the whole thing made me feel that way. -
5-Can-I-Get-My-Own-Cash?-Stars!!!
I swear all throughout the book Cash got me like:
From this:
To this:
And then this:
Second book of the Henchmen MCs and still totally loving it. Cash is just adorably sweet and hot as fudge. Lo was seriously a bad bitch who has a habit of pushing people away because of her dark past (I swear every single heroine by JG has some serious shit happened to them from the past). Their relationship was kind of complicated because the other one was closed-off with a lot of trust issues while the other one is not used to chasing around girls and get serious with them.
The flow of the story was okay, a tad bit too fast but I still loved it. No complains about the side characters (again, I am in love with all of them). I am really seeing myself continuing to binge-read this series because I love everything in it. -
***FIVE STARS***
This story has everything a girl could possibly want. A sexy as hell Motorcycle Club Badass, a strong independent woman who suddenly finds herself in a situation where she is forced to beg for help that she desperately needs, nonstop action and steaming hot sex.
Cash's story is just his story, by himself, away from the rest of the Club. Those are my favorite type of biker stories. He's slick. He loves women, all women, and he runs through them like water, he's the typical manwhore, but man is he ever sexy!!
Willow comes from a fearsome background that transformed her into a strong, no nonsense woman, calling the shots and never needing to rely on others, until her background that she left far behind, catches up with her again in a brutalizing way.
Neither Cash nor Willow thinks too much of each other in the beginning of this story. They both have preconceived notions of each other, but the more time they spend together and the more intimate they allow themselves to be with each other, the more they are able to move past these notions. They both finally see the other as someone they absolutely care about, perhaps more than they truly want to admit.
I don't want to give away everything that happens in this story, but it was a very romantic story. Willow is completely out of her element, reduced to showing her weaknesses, needing and finally asking for someone to help her. Cash, while helping Willow deal with her past and helping her heal from what's been done to her, finally falls for the woman of his dreams, giving up his manwhoring ways. Oh, and there's an adorable cameo of Shooter here, that was the icing on the cake of this story. I'm so in love with him. I cannot wait to read his story when it comes out too!
***I should also make a note that this story is a little more brutal than other stories written by Gadziala. Not overly dark, but still the abuse is very realistic. Take the warnings seriously if this isn't a topic that you can handle.
Cash has it all, steamy sex, exciting action, a villain you love to hate, sweet romance and a HEA. What more could a girl ask for? -
I don't have time for a lengthy review; however I do want to say that I ended up liking this book very much. The first 40% I was starting to fear that it was just going to be an ok read, and then the story opened up with a crap ton of chaos and I was enthralled once again by the Henchmen and their women! This time we get a story about Cash who is the Vice President of the MC...and the woman whom he is after is Lo. I don't want to say much about her because it would be a spoiler for book one. Let's just say that Lo is as tough as they come; but even the tough ones can be brought to their knees. Believe me, she gets taken down more than once; but Cash proves himself to be a man of worth, and helps pick her back up and fights for her.
I loved them together! The secondary characters; Wolf and Janie's story is next, and I am very eager to see what on earth is going on with them! There were little hints here and there in this installment, but it just set the stage for book three!!! I'm hooked, and I'm diving into right away...LOL
Another great story in this exciting series!!! -
...Sigh.
For any of you that haven't checked out the fabulous Jessica Gadziala yet, I have three simple questions:
1. Do you ever find yourself scrolling through your TRs desperately searching for that killer series much like Kristen Ashley's Rock Chick saga? If yes, please read on.
2. Are you in serious need of a drool-worthy biker romance that'll make you swoon and kill yourself with laughter? If yes, please read on.
3. Are you willing to accept my word as the unquestionable truth and just, for the love of Cash, read this amazeballs book?
I knew it. -
First let me say I really loved the first book, Reign. That's all. Lets continue now...
I'm not gonna lie, I struggled with this for probably almost the first half of the book. It was slow and really had nothing going on for it. It gives you a good punch right at the beginning but then it's all down hill from there until about half way through it picks up again. Seems to be a reoccurring trope for this author which is why I can't fully enjoy her stories.
In the beginning we have a bit of action or interesting story to get us intrigued. Then we have a lot of sexual tension or sex to fill up the middle of the book which becomes boring when it happens continuously. Then finally when it's nearing the end the action picks back up. Now look, I'm all for hot sexy steamy sex in books, but the sex in some of this author books fills like it's just a filler.
Now saying that, I loved Cash. I was looking forward to his book. But I didn't love him and Lo together. It just didn't really work for me. I can't even really put my finger on what it is that didn't work. I loved Lo in the first book, but in this one... She just didn't live up to the badass she was in the first book. She was just OK.
I still enjoyed parts of the book, but mostly it was slow and just not what I thought it was going to be. -
I found Cash to be impossible to resist! Yeah, he shared his delicious charms with lots of ladies, but that was his charm. Despite the fact that quite a few women knew what he was like in bed, his ease and his confidence didn't give you room to hate. What's not to love?
So Cash's story started off a little like enmity at first sight. He was a little younger than Lo, but he knew what he liked and what she had going on... he didn't like. He wasn't opposed to putting down people who deserved to get put down, but the fact that she did it for money really grated on his nerves. But there was something about her that he craved.
See Lo was a lot of things...
❥ Gorgeous. Smart. Intuitive. Strong.
❥ Leader of the group known as Hailstorm. Not much is known about exactly what they do, but we learn they do a lot. This group is made of up ex-military, former street gangs, and people with certain skills who are looking for a place to belong.
❥ A badass by anyone's standards. She doesn't back down from a fight or worthy cause.I was trained. I was skilled. That being said, I was still a woman and no matter how skilled you make yourself, no matter how good you become, you will always have a physical disadvantage against a man well over six-feet and built like a linebacker.
- Smart lady
❥ A hopeless romantic. We've seen what she'll do for people who are in love.
❥ A woman who isn't afraid to get dirty, get hurt, get messy. She throws down!
She's also someone who wasn't always the woman she appears to be. When the horrific past she thought she escaped comes hurtling into her present, Cash seems to be the perfect person to help her deal with her problems. Her reinforced steel walls seem to have a vulnerability when it comes to him and pretty soon, Cash is witness to everything ugly that Lo has had to overcome. He was the one, the one who was capable of getting in and putting down roots.
It took a while for Lo, who didn't really know any better, to truly see how much better she was with Cash. As for him, he wasn't aware he could feel the way about a woman the way he felt about Lo. Forever never seemed to be a possibility for either of them. Through the blood, sweat, tears and pain that it took to see the other side, these two forged a rock solid relationship that defied either of their expectations. It was beautiful and rough and perfect for them.“Balls, dick, heart, brain, baby, you got it all.”
I don't always know what to expect from the stories Jessica Gadziala pushes out, but her heroes... can't help but love 'em. I'm off to read Wolf's story next and I'm excited to see what mayhem finds this silent and fierce biker. I wonder if we'll get a full sentence out of him :D -
REVIEW NOW POSTED.
~ FIVE STARS ! ~
LOVED LOVED LOVED THIS BOOK !
Jessica Gadziala makes me addicted to the boys !
I have to admit, that since the first time I met Cash in Reign's book, I was kinda fall for him.
And thought, he probably perfect for Janie, hmm? But Jessica surprised me for pairing him with Lo, the badass boss of Hillstorm. I was really surprised !.
But then, after the first blast of the bomb, I'm hooked. And yes, Cash is definitely the right man for Lo.
*Picture is courtesy of the author*
I liked the play hot-cold, cat-mouse between Cash and Lo, it was so frustrating for both of them.
I was just..."Oh, f*** her already !!" . Ha-ha.
But it was super cute, and hot at the same time. I approved. *Nods*""I did enjoy last night. You got one sweet pussy for someone so fucking sour. But I can tell you one thing, as much as I enjoyed last night..." "You enjoyed it a helluva lot more. Or was I imagining your pussy squeezing my finger as you came hard enough to wake up my neighbors?"
And speaking about Willow/Lo. OMG!
That was brutal what she had in her past, and wasn't that enough, Jessica, you had to tortured her again? Seriously, girl?
I cried. Like a baby. And I want to jump inside the book to cut her ex's balls and feed him myself ! Grrr!
But, Lo, my girl ! She's just the girl I craved for in my books. Strong, confident, strong. Did I mentioned 'strong'?. Yeah, that.
"I absolutely fucking refuse to fall back into the sadness, to let it surround me until my arms were too tired to keep my head above water anymore. I wasn't that woman anymore. I was never going to be her again."
And while I'm enjoying Cash and Lo, my guy Shooter stole some scenes...and he need his book ASAP! And I really want to know about Wolf and Janie.
Can you write faster, Jessica? Pretty please?
Fair warning : You'll have a dark, brutal story. With some sexy moments betwen the two MCs. Dirty talk. And lots and lots of dirty talk !
So far, this is my favorite of all Jessica's book.
Highly recommended for MC bad boy and badass heroine lovers !

Re-read 19th - 20th August 2021
It’s time to finish this series starting with a catch up re-read.
I stick with my original review on this one. Bring on Wolf.
Original review - 3.5 stars
May contain very mild spoilers.
Having enjoyed 'Reign' I always intended to continue on with this series and I didn't realise 'Cash' had been out for so long.
Firstly I love Cash, it's hard not to he's all charm and sexy biker and so I was really looking forward to this.
I didn't read any reviews beforehand which is unusual for me but since I was always going to read this anyway I just got started so it came as a bit of a shock to find it was a older woman/younger man, not really my thing if I'm being honest but it's Cash and the incredible Lo so I carried on reading.
This book started well and ended really well but the middle was kind of dull at times and in 'Reign' Lo was amazing, what a strong kick-ass female character but here she just didn't really work for me.
She's had an awful life and it's made her who she is today but she wasn't what I expected. I understand why she's guarded and her walls are up with her history I'd be lucky if I looked at a man again (ok, so not true but you get the idea) but I didn't really feel a connection between these two, attraction yes but no real connection.
Also
I can see why she didn't want to include Hailstorm but considering the person she is and the person she was up against why didn't she take more care, I know she has those walls for a reason but she needed to confide in someone, as it was Cash was riding around in her car broadcasting to everyone where she was.
Why? She's supposed to be intelligent and bad-ass.
Despite the older woman/younger man and what I felt were mistakes there's a lot here to like, Cash is adorable and determined and his sights are set firmly on Lo. I'm intrigued by Wolf and so looking forward to his book, which is out so I don't have to wait. -
I wondered how these two got together after reading several of the Savages books and let me tell you Lo went through a lot to get where she got. I admired her strength as a secondary character but even more now in her own right. I'm glad she has the sexy Cash to make her happy :) Cash is a shameless flirt that hadn't yet found the woman he was ready to settle down for. When circumstances put him and Lo together, he sees something in her that he respects and admires. It becomes much more than a flirtation quite quickly. I like their chemistry. Their lovemaking is very hot. The major plot lines are kept in sync. Development within the plot tying in Cash and Lo specifically is also done well. The writing is easy to follow and flows well. The characters are unique and interesting. Secondary characters are strong and maintain their integral characteristics intact. All in all, I really enjoyed myself if you can't tell by the binge reading I did on this author lol Safety: No OW/OM/Sharing. Neither are Vs. Big abuse/rape trigger.
-
Okay,I have to confess something!
This is my first book about MC alpha man story,I have never-ever read MCWHY WHY LANA!??
I'm so late with everything :( Apologize to me from me....
I just got sucked into this story and I didn't sleep because I wanted to finish it!!!!
I loved Cash and Lo - they two together ----badass couple
-
This was by far a huge improvement from the first. The seriousness and intensity of the story's tone kept building until it exploded with action. The romance and chemistry between the characters was off the charts, smoldering hot. Would have liked more brotherhood involvement but all in all was pleasantly entertained.
-
I am way behind on my reading.
Cash is a disappointment. The story seems promising at thr beginning. But afterward the plot is just too cheesy.
I was expecting a lot from Miss Gadziala to bring the story alive. But the whole story of tough, alpha male hero and a needy heroine just got too old to be recyled. I need more. More chemistry. More exciting plot and better content.
2 stars -
5 Total Badass Stars
Warning a little darker than the last book.
Cash is VP of Henchmen and he loves women!! He is your typical manwhore but I kind of has a crush him. Very little tho ;).
Willow is a total bad ass and she is head of Hailstorm. She is that kind of woman who's calling the shots and never rely on others. Until one day her past caught up with her and it was brutal. That's all I can say.
Then is when Cash came to the rescue and help Willow out through everything. I love their chemistry and these two are smoking!! So overall: lots of action, drama, romance and it's darker than Reign.
Also, please read Monster cause Shooter (character from Monster) made an appearance. I can't wait for Shooter and Wolff's story.
ARC/R2R received for my honest review. -
This was a solid read nothing dark or edgy. However, I just didn't get their romance. It started out great. Their banter was funny but in the middle it became sloppy.
Willow was portrayed very strong but I just didn't get her vibe. It was all talk but no action. Cash was cool, he is a manwhore but good type of manwhore. He doesn't hide his attraction for Willow from the beginning. That was it, I needed more depth and emotional connection between the main protagonists. -
Jessica you are Amazing, another great read from this series, I couldn't put it down.. I
Can't wait for Shooter and Wolfs stories -
4.5 badass stars
Oh yeah, now didn't that book just punch a hole in the wall with it's badassery.
This book was everything I'd hoped it would be- equal parts humorous, dark, sarcastic, lovable and kickass. Both the characters were so interesting in the first book Reign, that I was incredibly interested in knowing how these two fell.
It was effortless.
Willow Crane, or as introduced to us in the last book as "Lo" was the leader of the reclusive Hailstorm residents. In this book we meet a side of her that we most definitely haven't seen before. The cunning, hard-as-nuts fighter exterior is shed, and we get to see a beaten woman who saved herself, and waits for no man to be her knight in shining armor. At that point, I irrevocably fell in love with Lo. She was strong but vulnerable, hard to the problems she faces, but loved those she cared about with an unparalleled passion.
She was exactly the kind of girl I expected a playboy-and-biker-dude to fall for. It just made sense.
Cash was an amazing man. He was so supportive of her. He was one of the few people who understood that her vulnerability was not a defect but a strength, and he let her wear it like a prize."She needed the space to pull herself together. She would never forgive herself if she broke down in front of me."
He accepted her for who she was, and fell in love with all her flaws and scars. At a point I felt like he would be the submissive in the relationship, given that Lo was so dominant, but he held his own. He was charming as hell, witty and cold in the right amount.
I just fawned over both of them, and it was a genuinely good book. There are some authors who manage to make a story that we have perhaps read a lot of times, as a completely new experience. And Jessica Gadziala definitely did that here.
I absolutely recommend it to anyone who wishes to read something sweet with a thin layer of darkness.“Balls, dick, heart, brain, baby, you got it all.”

3.5 stars
When I started reading this I didn't realise it was the older woman/younger man trope and it's a trope I try to avoid where at all possible. Yep, I have huge double standards - I have no problem with the role reversal where he's older.
Cash is hot but sweet, and saw right through Lo. Lo has had a hell of a life and wears her shields well and made Cash work to get in there.
What I really liked was that the author didn't take it down the route. That was an issue for Lo and it was left like that.
I'm really looking forward to the next couple of books in the series, Wolf's is going to be a doozy methinks. -

I love Ms. Gadziala's books and will continue to read them as they do nothing but get better. The potential for consistent 5 star writing is there. And, as always, I totally recommend her books. Whether you can tell from my review or not ;)
Damn, I think I just fangirled:
(*shakes head in shame*)
What I liked:
The writing. It's engaging. I want to read the next word even when I'm grumbling about other shit. Maybe it's just her writing-style, or maybe it's the way she puts the story together.
The H. You might find that hard to believe later on ;) He grew on me, because he grew as a character. Granted it took the h's disappearance. He was also charmingly full of himself. But the h's reaction to that behavior made it an issue overall for me. The no OW, that shit right there, THAT should be applauded coming from this character.
The last 25% redeemed a lot.
No spoilers this time :)
I already want to read Wolf and Janie's book.
And Shooter...(*sigh*)
He can hook is pinkie through mine any time he wants ;)
His book...like, now.
(*puppy dog face*)
What I didn't like:
This h should've been a no-brainer for my favorite shelf: chicks-I-wanna-be-when-shit-hits. She was the biggest badass of them all.
Fucking. Swoon.
I couldn't wait for her to put Cash in his place and make him work for her. The fact she didn't breaks my fucking heart. It hurts even more she was reduced to a damsel in distress.
I'm also a bit tired of the trope where the H makes the h a silly, giddy twit sexually. As if she doesn't have a fucking thought in her head but his dick. I'd like to see him pant his ass all over the house for her. Seriously, it gets fucking old. All of these H's that are so full of themselves...which is FINE when they have to work for the h. Here we have a badass h and she's reduced to sopping panties and begging. And he's all: if you don't beg, babe, it ain't happening.
What the fuck ever.
Cash is such a man-ho he needs to be brought down a peg. Not bring down the strongest woman in the entire series as if she's nothing better than a club-ho. All eager beaver.
All it does is make me lose respect for the h. Especially because for the first 70% she gives in every fucking time while mentally castigating him. It's always her initiating sex or him bullying her into it to make some fucking point about his perfection of masculinity. (*eye-mf'ing-roll*)
But, the whole damsel in distress thing, that shit...that shit burns for this h. Having her wait on some man to save her ass just pissed me off. She's a badass bitch. The biggest, baddest bitch of them all.
(A silent moment of mourning)
The scene repeat in both POVs is almost nil...Halle-fucking-lujah. The overlapping scenes are now incorporated into the natural flow of plot so they never felt like the same scene.
Oh with the parentheses, though. Please start using commas or shorter sentences...inner thought inside of inner thought is just too much at 43 times in a novel.
I'd still edit her books for free ;)
Why the 3.75 after all that bitching?
The last 25%.
Ms. G, keep on writing cuz I'll keep on buying ;)
One last thing.

“...getting into all kinds of shit without even filling him in and HAULING UP with women and not checking in like we were supposed to...”
“He was HAULED UP with Janie”
---
WTF does "hauling/hauled up" mean?
Holing/Holed up, perhaps?
Or is this some backwoods shit we don't even say in Louisiana? -
It was no secret that Cash was a whore. Hell, no one could even blame him what with looking how he looked, walking like he walked (he simply...swaggered), talking like he talked (the silver-tongued devil), and riding around on his bike with his leather cut.
YES PLEASE!
If you cant imagine this dude being in your bed and talking the nasty talk, making the sexy moves and charming you while at it....I dont know what or who else will do it for you!
I´m left all tingly after reading Cash and Lo´s story. They were both very strong and likable characters.
Both being playful with each other doesn't hurt either. Their chemistry was hot and undeniable and that endiiiing!!! Awww♥♥
Good thing we got to read more about Reign and Summer....and Wolf and Jaine (cant wait for their book)....and OMG SHOOTER....COME TO MAMA!!
