All the Way Back Reviews

  • Mike Snodgrass

Read this because I was surprised that my favorite historical writer wrote science fiction. Really liked the story, especially the ending. This is what sci fi should be all about.

  • Jeff Stockett

This story is a lot of fun. It's a theme that I think we need more of in science fiction. So often, we get stories about how the universe is a big scary place with big scary aliens.

But humans have done some pretty terrible things. We're also incredibly resourceful. What if the universe needs to fear us and not the other way around?

A tyrannical race destroyed 30,000 years ago reappears.

I first read the story in Galactic Empire vol 2 I believe. That was some 45 years ago. I have a copy next to my bed. I will continue to read the story again until I cease to exist v
The greatest short story ever written. I have written a continuation of the story decades ago.
    Enjoy the book
