Rake's Redemption (Wind Dragons MC, #4) Reviews
-
Enjoyed this second chance story. Rake left the relationship with Bailey thinking she'd cheated. Reality was much worse. Now Bailey is back in town and she's reconnected with his sister and that puts the only woman to break the womanizing Rake's heart back into the forefront of his life. Rake and Bailey have a lot to work through. Add some danger and the plot thickens. I liked the writing and characters. The loving was sexy as hell. The development was done just right. It isn't always easy to transform a well named rake into a one woman man but sometimes for the right woman it can be. I enjoyed the world that the author has created. I can't wait to read more. Safety: No OW/Sharing. There is one kiss with OM but not while they were officially together. No rape/abuse. No condoms.

MAY CONTAIN SLIGHT SPOILERS.
I had mixed feelings about starting this book mainly because Rake was such a manwhore it was going to be difficult for anyone romantically entering his life.
That woman is Bailey, his first love.
Now it's obvious they spilt on bad terms but it takes forever to actually find out what happened, I'm not known for my patience and it was driving me nuts. It's nearly halfway in when we find out what changed the life of these two although by this point I'd more or less worked it out and I was annoyed with both of them.
I know Rake feels hurt and betrayed but seriously if he'd just stopped to think for a minute, he knew Bailey. Bailey as well should have found some way to explain but the past is the past let's get back to the future.
So Rake is a complete jerk, it's his town, he can have sex with as many women as he wants, where he wants but she can't even look at another man....seems fair?
Yes, yes it does Bailey is fine with this and sorry she's disrupting his life.....okay then.
My main problem:
When Bailey got pregnant Wade (the father of the baby) didn't want anything to do with his child (Cara), it's been like this for six years then he suddenly turns up at the school where Bailey works asking to see Cara.
So I'm putting a side the fact that a strange guy who looks 'shady' managed to get to the classroom door of a school for young children.
Bailey is filled with dread and panic, Wade looks different he's gaunt and she has a really bad feeling about this, Cara is her only child and the most important thing in her life so the second she gets to the clubhouse she finds Rake and tells him? Well that was the intention but Rake is in the ring messing about and fighting with Arrow so she forgets, then they have hot sex and she totally forgets to mention it. Seriously!
Now this may seem like a small point but I don't care how much hot sex you're having a threat like that to your child wouldn't slip your mind and then when Wade actually turns up at the clubhouse (again how did he know exactly where she'd be?) her attitude is that while he turned up at school she hadn't heard from him again (as far as I can tell it's only the next day) so she completely forgot to tell anyone about it.
I'd been on the fence for most of this book, liking some parts but not others but this part was just plain stupid.
This was always going to be a difficult sell because we'd come to know Rake over the previous books and he was truly a manwhore. Bailey just seemed weak even after everything that happened in the past she sneaks out with Anna to go to Talons party at his clubhouse without telling a soul, I know she's loyal to Anna and as it turns out they were never in danger but that's not the point if she didn't want to tell Arrow or Rake she should have confided in Faye so at least someone knew where they were.
I'm still on the fence, I liked parts of this but Rake and Bailey both annoyed me so much. I was intending to read the whole series but that just doesn't seem to be working for me so I'm thinking I'll skip ahead to 'Crossroads' and see how I go with that. -

Adam and Bailey were high school lovers that thought they would last a lifetime. Young and in love, they had plans to grow old together and never leave the others side. But those plans fell apart and they went there separate ways to deal with the heartbreak. Several years later they run into each other, both at very different points in their life. Bailey now a teacher, and Adam, now known as Rake, part of the Wind Dragons MC. Neither of them want to deal with another broken heart again, but they also can't stay away from each other once they realize they live in the same town again. Will their love last this time, or are the headed for more pain?"Because Rake is my guardian angel. Or maybe my personal grim reaper."
This is one of my favorite MC series, and I just can't get enough of it. I have loved every character that Chantal Fernando creates, and Rake and Bailey were no exception. I loved how different they were but how they brought out the hidden sides to each other. In the previous books we got to see the tough side to Rake and how much of a player he was. But in this book we learned that he could actually be really sweet at times and he cared so much for those around him. Made me swoon more than a little.
The great thing that I loved about Rake and Bailey's relationship was that it only moved forward. We knew they had a past, and of course if was brought up at times, but it never took over the building relationship that was happening in the present. I was really happy that we didn't have a bunch of flashbacks happening or too much harping on what went on when they were younger. It was important to how they got back together, but after that their relationship only got stronger and more mature, and it was good to see.
The one thing I had a problem with was how fast Rake and Bailey seemed to go from enemies to lovers. I understood when they were angry at each other and their was some tension, but then the change in Rake kind of came out of no where. I just would have liked if that transition was done a bit smoother.
But the bottom line is that I still loved this book and the couple. Getting to see the past characters and what they were doing in their life was a great bonus to the story also. I highly recommend this series to all my MC lovers. Rake's story could be read as a standalone but I still recommend reading the other books as well.

"4 Rake stars"
"Because no matter what you did, no matter what
happened in the past, you will always be the love of my life.
This was a really nice reading. I enjoyed it very much. I loved Rake from the previous books and when I read about his past in "Tracker's End" I got really intrigued. I have a soft spot for second chance love so I was a goner from the very first moment I read about his high school sweetheart.
"But if you want the words, then of course I fuckin' love you, Bailey. I never stopped loving you. You always had a piece of me. Always."
Ok let's take a second here and reread the above statement...What do you think...?Are you swooning or what...? Because if you ask me there were a lot of these statements that made me swoon...
Rake was a sweet asshole. Let me clarify that, he was a complete asshole in the beginning when he first saw Bailey and tried to push her buttons because of the past and what happened then...But then he started to be the sweet man he was back then and life was becoming more and more enjoyable...
We're like a magnetic force: we will always be drawn back together.
The mistakes from the past were in the open between them, it was hard in the beginning but they were both strong and determined to overcome it and to enjoy what fate took from them for the past years, because now the future was there for them to take over and make new memories...
"No one will love you like I do."
"My soul recognizes yours. I see you, Rake.
I was born to be yours, and you will always be mine."
"Vein-deep."
"Vein-deep."
I LOOOOOVED Rake plain and simple!
He was a hot alpha male biker ready to protect his owns. I liked their sex scenes and how thoughtful and sweet he was sometimes but also ready for a hot, rough and dirty round with his old lady with screams and everything.
"I need to be inside you right now. And I'm not going to be gentle, Bailey. I'm going to teach you a lesson. I'm going to show you who you belong to."
I would love a lesson like that from him, if you ask me!But no one will, so it's a moo point! :-(((
Something that I liked about this book was that we saw a lot of scenes with the previous characters and what's been going on with their lives. The Wind Dragons' old ladies were CRAZY and FUNNY which made this book even more amazing.
I really liked the end! It was just wonderful! Rake turned out to be a great father...
Enjoy!xxx -

“She’s my burden to bear. The walking example of what happens when you let a woman get close to you. My own personal walking lesson ”
There are no ifs, ands, or buts about it, I am totally addicted to The Wind Dragons MC Series by Chantal Fernando. And how could I not be, when Ms. Fernando continues to demand our complete undivided attention as she once again douses her readers with hot, sexy, domineering, protective alpha heroes, who will go out of their way to protect the women they love. And in this fourth installment, Ms. Fernando masterfully weaves a second chance romance with raw emotions, sexual tension, and of course redemption.
“He made me so angry, but then when we just spoke . . . he made me feel something else. Something I need to bury. The anger, yeah, I can understand that. The other emotions— no, I don’t need to concentrate on those. They don’t exist. I need to learn how to not let him get under my skin.”
Remorse. Guilt. Anger. Love. Hope. Second Chances. Forgiveness. Revenge. These are the few words to describe this poignant, gritty, and emotional story of Rake’s Redemption. Before there was Rake, biker of the Wing Dragons MC, there was Adam. Adam, the young high school senior who was madly in love with his first and only love, Bailey. And in one brief moment in time, their love was the beginning and the end. And soon the Adam of seven years ago was gone and Rake, the baddest of the bad boys was born.
“Because no matter what you did, no matter what happened in the past, you will always be the love of my life.”
When you think of MC romance books, automatically one would think of gritty, bad ass bikers who are womanizers. Yes, Rake was that but he was so much more than that. The one girl he loved broke him. Made him angry and soon all the hatred and anger built up. And so when Rake runs into his high school sweetheart, Bailey old feelings begins to resurface. Feelings of disgust, hatred, and anger begins to surface but slowly we also see that behind the hateful words, lies a man who is still hurting and in love with Bailey. And for the life of him, he can’t deny his love for her still.
“I want to fuck you, punish you, and worship you at the same time . I want to make you hurt; I want to take away your pain. I want you to feel what I felt when I lost you, and I want to save you, all at the same time.”
There are two sides to every story. His. Hers. And the truth. And the truth of the matter, there is no one to blame. Bailey’s secret was her secret alone to tell and though she may not have told Adam right away, Adam played his part when he destroyed her as well. The truth of the matter, the things left unsaid was their downfall and destruction. And so when Bailey sees Adam again, the love that she had for him is still there burning a hole in heart. She loved only one man but he can’t forgive her. So how can two broken people who loved each other find their redemption to forgive one another and love again?
“This man, he’s mine. I know his soul. I see it. It recognizes my own. It doesn’t matter what happened when we were apart, or who we were. Everything is inconsequential. A love like ours was never meant to end in the first place. We’re like a magnetic force: we will always be drawn back together. Because to me, that’s what true love is.”
Rake’s Redemption is a story that exposes and unravels the truth. The past is no longer kept in the past as both Rake and Bailey both need to know and speak the truth in order to set their hearts free. While Ms. Fernando was still able integrate a gritty MC theme with bikers and their lifestyle, Chantal has beautifully and sophisticatedly crafted a story that was built on raw emotions. Every facets of emotions from anger, revenge, hate, sadness, loss, and love were coursing through the pages. Readers were slaughtered with the raw fact that Adam and Bailey are not perfect individuals. They both made choices but in the end, their path to meet again was inevitable as they both knew this connection that they both shared was their second chance to amend for everything that had happened to them and to get back to the place where their love, trust, and respect were the building blocks and foundation of their relationship.
The chemistry between Bailey and Rake can only be described as magnetic. Both are drawn to each other like a moth to a flame. And as much as Rake knows that he should hate her and stay away, he can’t. His heart, soul, and mind bleeds for Bailey and when he finally learns of her secret, there was no stopping the inevitable. And together Bailey and Rake rediscovered and rekindled their love. Their love really highlighted how protective they were for each other. It was the kind of love worth fighting for. The kind of love that's pure and unrelenting. The kind of love that heals. And Ms. Fernando truly allows her readers to FEEL for them. Though they may not be the perfect, their flaws, imperfection and unspoken bond are what makes them feel real for readers like myself. I felt their pain, hurt, disappointment, happiness, jealousy, passion, and most importantly their burning love.
“Go by actions instead. But if you want the words, then of course I fuckin’ love you, Bailey . I never stopped loving you. You always had a piece of me. Always.”
So if you are looking for a story that demands your attention and paints a gritty, raw, and emotional perspective of growth, forgiveness and second chances then I urge fans of Chantal Fernando to get lost in the story of Bailey and Rake. Feel the turmoil. Feel the hate. Feel the guilt. Feel the passion. Feel the hope. And most importantly feel the healing and burning love of a young couple rekindling their relationship. So if you are fan of MC romance, I highly recommend you to read Rake’s Redemption. This book exemplifies the meaning that love truly heals and second chances are not to be wasted. Be prepared to get swept away with Fernando's magnetic prose as she holds her readers hostage with a love story that will be cemented as one of my favorite MC romance.

Beware of Spoilers!
Star Ratings:
Heroine (Bailey): 2/5
Hero (Rake/Adam): 2/5
Plot: 2/5
Grovel: none
Cheating: H parades OW in front of h, H cheated on h in the past
HEA: yes
Triggers: rape, pleasant image of H getting a BJ from a club whore on first page of first chapter
Average score: 2/5
Best Line: “I grew up, Adam, perhaps you should try it?” I thought this line was quite ironic considering the h’s behaviour up to this point was quite immature and the H was no better
Worst Line: “This isn’t some romance where everything works out in the end, and the hero and the heroine end up together in a happily ever after only someone with a big imagination could formulate.”
It’s not? Then what the fuck am I wasting my time reading this for?!
Personal Review:
This was a not-so-great second chance romance between a manwhore and an immature single mom. Seriously though, the kids were more mature than the adults!
Random Ramblings:
•Tia annoyed me and I was totally judging her
•I can’t forgive the H for what he did
•I don’t think I like this couple
•The amount of bad choices the h made was annoying
Overall Feeling: -
This one was better than the previous book in this series, though nowhere near as good as the first book. I just don't know what happened to this series. The first book was so funny and the characters were a bit endearing, not to mention the feisty heroine...
Ah well...it is what it is. The heroine in this book wasn't as bad as shy and awkward Lana, but she still had some TSTL moments... at least that's how I feel.
Still not giving up though...I will finish this series...eventually ;) -
Self Note:
And I'm done with this series. After reading all the previous books, and only one of them being safe and free of cheating, not even my OCD will push me to read this one! Thank you for all the reviews which allowed and warned me in advance about all the cheating in this one. Definitely not touching it, and I part ways with the series at this point! Even though the author's writing is great, I can't stomach this constant cheating advocacy, like that is supposed to be standard behavior, anymore...

2.5 Meh
It might be a case of "it's not you, it's me", but this book was kinda... well, not boring, but close enough. I wanted more from it, it lacked that it that makes a book great, or at least pretty good.
And I kind of felt like it was rushed, especially the last part.
Not an awful read, but I just wanted more. -

I really loved and enjoyed this book. This is really a great MC series that I have loved from the start. Each story is filled with pain but also filled with love, that just hooks you from the moment you start the first sentence in the book. I really loved both the characters of Rake and Bailey. I thought they were both strong, independent characters who were great separate but also really good together. I think this book was my favorite of the series but I'm so hoping that Talon gets his own story. Can't wait to see what else the author has in store for this series. -

Rake/Adam's story.
Bailey and Adam were sweethearts and were supose to marry, have kids and etc...
Bailey and Adam interaction was hatred all the way. They did mistakes in the past and now they have changing-Bailey has a daughter and Adam is a MC who is a manhore. Rake hates and loves Bailey yet he could not stand that she is in the same place as him and see her doing anything with any man.
Rake was an ass** I did not like the guy and he was too much of a abuser to me, wanting to control her love life. That was supose to be cute-yet I did not find it. Bailey was a nice girl-I did not see anything especial towards her she basically is like the other females in the series.
There is a lot stuff that it was just- why is that here?! The interaction btw the girls and MC's. I get it it was to be a conection btw them yet I felt that she was accept to easily and everyone likes her for no reason. She was old lady material and yet to me she was just another one.
We see a glimpse of the other couples. Yet I did not know them-they are hot, they need a woman, the girls drink a lot. What about hobbies or what how they are as a person. Can we just stop with the slut friend?!
There isn't much conflict-just sparse problems that was resolve to quickly.
It was an ok reading. -
“I’m concerned,” I admit, looking around at all the beautiful women. “Do you miss this at all? The public sex, the threesomes, the many stunning women at your disposal . . . ?”
“No, I don’t. I had my fun, Bailey. I played around, fucked around. Now I just want you. I still get to have fun, just with only you, and I want that. I wouldn’t have it any other way,” he says sincerely, eyes pleading with me to understand.
Awwwww. This is the most romantic exchange I've ever read. I'm so happy the Hero got to fuck around, basically (after he betrayed me and broke my heart) before he went back to me. I'm a good person!!!! I'm glad he got it all out of his system! I'm glad he got his so-called redemption.
I'm happy..... I really am.... NOT. Review later when I feel like it. :) -
3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK decent reads.

Definitely not worth the wait. Pathetic story, what there was of it.
Pathetic doormat heroine who brushes away the massive wrongs that Rake was responsible for. Disgusting really that she lets him off the hook without fuss.
Pathetic Rake - seriously pathetic. Way too cocky about being the biggest manwhore in the club, to the h no less. Really tacky and indefensible considering how much he wronged the h. He should've been made to pay for that, I would've broken his bloody jaw not opened my legs for this schmuck and all is forgiven. Really?
This series is certainly nothing if not predictable and on repeat. -
We have heard about Rake for a long while now, that he was a womanizer and that Rake had certain preferences that were almost legend. Now with who Rake was I couldn't wait to see how the author pulled this off and made Rake who is a well a rake fall in love and settle down. I have been waiting for this book and counting down the days till the release. When I saw this book on NetGallery I couldn't click request fast enough and thank goodness I got it, yes I only got to read this book a few days early but when you have been waiting a fews days makes a big difference.
Many years ago Adam and Bailey were happy, more than happy they were in love and so sure of their future together then something devastating happened tearing them apart, not only tearing them apart but making them both hate each other. Years later Bailey is back with a daughter, teaching and living her life, and all is fine till she runs into Adams sister. They all used to be friends but when it all fell apart Bailey knew she didn't only loose the love of her life but Anna as well.
That day changes Adam permanently now he's Rake and not the man he used to be. Rake has a reputation and he gained that rightfully so. Rake loves his family and his club, and he loves woman, as many as he can. One night deciding to go out and have some fun Bailey runs into Anna and Lana, Rakes sister and her best friend. Not having scene them in so many years and missing them they all reconnect and get to know each other again. What Bailey never expected and what she hoped would never happen was running into Adam, now known as Rake and with two woman no less.
Seeing each other brings feels backup they both hoped to never experience again but also the love that hasn't managed to die in all these years. After one time of seeing each other again they both agree thats enough for the rest of their lives and because she still deep down loves Rake Bailey agree's to not see his sister again. But Rake's sister Anna doesn't agree to these terms because she has missed Bailey as much. When circumstances force Bailey and Rake back together they each find it harder and harder to forget the love they felt, but just as much they find it hard to forget what tore them apart.
The more they seem to be together the more they can't deny that they still love each other, and then neither wants to deny how they feel including Rake also falling in love with Baileys daughter. When someone comes back into their life wanting to cause more problems and take away something they both love Rake and the MC will do everything to make it right and take care of anyone who is against them. I can't wait for the next book in this series. This series is auto buy/read for me, I'm always waiting and wanting more.
I loved this book I feel like I have waited for so long for this book, and the wait was well worth it. I loved seeing everyone again, and there are so many books I am waiting for in this series. Now I could have done without the start of this book but thats a complete presence thing for me, I don't want to hear about our hero or heroine with anyone else but it is very quick not super detailed and they aren't at all together in fact they haven't scene each other for years. I will admit that I was a little scared because this book is about Rake but I loved him and I mean loved him, he's an amazing hero. Bailey has always been it for him and she is the only woman he has every or will ever love. Once he see's her again everything in Rake changes. SO is this book safe because again it's Rake
I loved Bailey as well she's smart and strong and perfect for Rake. Baileys daughter Cara is so cute and sweet and really adds a nice element into this book and I really hope she gets a books (with cute little Rhett) in the future. I will say I had expected to have Rake's bedroom preferences to be more shocking, risqué, I don't know. We have heard about this for awhile now and everyone knows Rake has certain presences that are almost legendary so I was expecting to have some interesting bedroom scenes but when we finally see them I was let down almost. I think because we have had this built up for so long that I expected more. I know this may be nit picking to some and maybe I built it up in my head but I was a little surprised with this.
Another thing I will say is the original evil person(well one of them) in this books didn't get what was coming to them, and I know that what happens to Bailey and Rake to make them separate when they are teens happened a long time but what this person does makes me sick, and I really really reallllllly wanted to see them get what was coming to them. And I mean what they do is disgusting and horrible and something so very repulsive that I kept waiting for them to get their just desserts.
Yes I am vengeful, and spiteful when I read my books, but when you see what happens and how it effects their life and how life changing it is how could I not feel this way. I will say Chantal Fernando does an amazing job handling this situation, when I was reading it I felt like she was ripping my heart out and stomping on with cleats, but she writes it and handles it so well that it ended up being something that made their love story stand out even more. This series just seems to get better with each book and it never lags. I love that this is a series I can count on to be even more than amazing.

This book had way too much cheating stupid drama and way to much crap that had nothing to do with the storyline
but in the end there was one scene that bother me so much i almost dnf it so basically I just skimp the rest mind you this happen in the 85% mark
spoiler..

..
Her baby Daddy returns asking to see his daughter after leaving her when he found out she was pregnant
when she sees him these are her words
" He's changed. Gotten older. He didn't look good-He'd lost a lot of weight, looking a little gaunt."
She had a bad feeling about him wanting to see his daughter after so many years and though for sure he had ulterior motive after he leaves she says
"i make a mental note to tell Rake about it as soon as I get home. I have a bad feeling about this. Looks like I'm about to be thrown into more danger -except this time it isn't any biker's fault it's mine."
And do you think she tells Rake about this NOOO she sees him boxing and gets so Hot and Horny that she needs to have sex with him right there and she forgets about telling him about the baby daddy her actual WORDS ARE!!!
I have only one goal in my mind. Everything else is unimportant right now
YOUR DAUGHTER IS UNIMPORTANT TO YOU REALLY?!?! REALLY?!?! YOUR FLESH IN BLOOD THE PERSON YOU HAVE BEEN TAKING CARE OF BY YOURSELF NOT IMPORTANT!?!?!?!?!
This pissed me off so much as a mother your number one priority is your child especially when you think something is wrong your baby daddy coming back wanting to see your child after how many years I be calling a lawyer a cop anything hell your bf is in a motorcycle club but Nooo SEX is more important
I just felt disgusted because i believe no mother would do this and to be a single mother knowing you and you alone is the one person who is there to protect them. and i know no mother would put their horny self before the safety of their child and to think this was the heroine we were reading about the one character your supposed to root for I just lost all respect for them
I know its not supposed to be based on real life and its just a book but I believe as a mother are number 1 priority is the safety of our child and to me it was just really dissapointing to read that bit -
Ok I’m a sucker for the second chance romance. So I will say that I absolutely adore this set up. Single mother and the guy who broke her heart manage to find one another again? Sign me up.
Rake was the man whore to beat all man whores and honestly I didn’t think I would like seeing him get more. But he did manage to change and make it believable. Bonus that he did reflect on his poor behavior towards Bailey and make things better.
Bailey has a heart as big as her balls which makes her such a compelling character. She’s sweet but takes zero shit and honestly I adore her. Also her daughter was the cutest thing ever. And her childhood friends making a nice parallel of their parents made it all the better. -
4 Redeeming stars!!
Rake's Redemption is one of my new favourites by Chantal Fernando. I have read all her book and this is one is definitely in my top five. The wind Dragons MC are brothers with a passion for their women and I love them all. I would love a Wild Men MC series as well. Talon, Ranger and Slice definitely need their stories told.
Rake and Bailey were meant to be you could see that from the very beginning. Their high school romance was envied by many and that was their downfall when they were younger.
Years later when Bailey meets Rake again at his bar called Rift sparks fly instantly. Even though they still both love each other deeply, there is still a underlying tone of anger between them.
Rake is the sluttiest member of the WDMC, trying to get over the love of his life by replacing her every night but when she walks back into his life it's not as easy. Once Rake and Bailey are thrown back together by chance encounter again and again you can see that the love/hate lines are getting blurred more and more. Rake hates Bailey because he thinks she betrayed him but he's going to be in for a big shock when he finds out what really happened.
Bailey thought that one day she would marry Rake until one horrible night. Now that Rake is back in Bailey's life she is starting to catch feelings again.
Bailey has a daughter called Cara and Rake instantly falls in love with her, they both grow really close as the book goes on and I thought their bond was really sweet. After a close call with one of the WDMC's enemies Rake has to stay with Bailey and Cara to make sure they are safe. This is where things start to get interesting.
I love that this book had a lot of secondary characters from past books but I would have liked it if the story was more focused on Rake and Bailey getting to know each other again rather than Bailey going out with the girls and getting into trouble.
I loved Bailey's neighbour Tia she was really funny and Rhett is such a sweet little boy. I really think her and Talon would be great together.
I'm also interested in seeing who Irish is secretly seeing!!
"I see you, Rake. I was born to be yours, and you will always be mine"

Rake’s Redemption is a story I have been pretty excited for and boy I love it when we see the playboy of the group get taken by love and this book was a lot more angsty than I was expecting but ironically this angst was really well done, one of the best enemies to lovers romances I have read in a long while and really enjoyed the explosive chemistry that is introduced into this story.
Rake’s Redemption features our hero: Rake and our Heroine:Bailey. Bailey and Rake were high school sweethearts and then something happened, a huge misunderstanding occured between the two, Rake making a horrid assumption and Bailey not willing to tell him the full truth or not trying hard enough to have Rake know the real truth about what happened the one night that broke them apart after four years of being together. And for seven years Bailey has kept that secret from Rake. She has a six year old daughter that she has raised all on her own when the father turned out to be a dead beat dad and wanted her to abort it and Bailey refused. Now she is back in Rake’s territory and Rake is NOT happy. He believe that Bailey cheated on him but he can’t deny that he has never fallen out of love for her and even though he hates her on some level he still loves her too and it doesn’t bring out the best reactions in him. But when Bailey’s life is put in danger because of her connection to him, the truth becomes revealed and Rake takes the burden of what happened to Bailey and the guilt of never trusting her like he should have.
Rake’s Redemption ironically is my favorite of the series so far, I just loved seeing these two come together and figuring out what the secret is. Now once you learn the truth and see Rake’s horrid reaction you see why Bailey never told him, she also knew it wasn’t Rake’s fault and never wanted him to bear the burden of it. We see the guilt that Rake begins to feel though when he learns the truth but this is where their relationship really blossoms in such a monumental way that is inspiring. I love seeing them work together to overcome their painful mistakes and judgments and try to make a go of it and learn each other again. Rake’s Redemption is a story that is so well written and I adored seeing them connect in such a wonderful way and yeah the sex is pretty hot both of them are insatiable and have seven years of catching up to do and Rake is a bit kinky in the bedroom and Bailey is up for that because she trust Rake more than anyone. I love seeing the bond that Rake has with Bailey’s daughter, its not overdone but brings a sweet tone to the story. Rake’s Redemption is a endearing romance that gives you all the feels!!! SATISFYING FROM BEGINNING TO END! -

An enjoyable, emotional and intense story!! Once again the author delivered a beautifully written book in the Wind MC series. The fourth installment is about Bailey's and Rake's (Adam) time to learn their romance story in the past and of course in the present, this "recipe" had almost everything from funny/enjoyable dialogues to action/suspense and emotional/turmoil moments.
Also this story made me develop many feelings anger, sadness, happiness even goose bums... as you can see this book had a variety of emotional moments and of course as always i was very glad to read the characters from the previous books it was like a big lovely family.
Rake's personality really shined we definitely learn that he wasn't always a man-whore/bad-ass biker but also a sweet and caring man in love with Bailey the sweet and beautiful girl. I won't say what happened but we can see a how a person with above personality many years later because of some events became the exact opposite...but you can't forget your first love...so when made her appearance back into his life things will get...slightly complicated..
In addition secrets and twists made the story even more interesting and pleasant to read it, their relationship will overcome many obstacles, difficult situations, misunderstandings...but are they capable to move aside all the hard feelings they have for each other??? Honestly it was a great plot you should definitely give it a chance!!....I can't wait to read the next installment!!! -
4 you will always be the love of my lifestars. I was so pumped for Rake's story from the moment Bailey stumbled by him at the club and he lost his shit. Yes, this book has been a big anticipation for me and it didn't let me down. Rake, the sexual, dominant, gorgeous yet broken man finds his redemption and second chance with the one who holds his heart.
From the other books it isn't hard to understand why Rake was nicknamed Rake. He goes through women like a thirsty man goes through water. He even does more than one at a time and is into BDSM. In short, he's a sex machine. He's sinfully sexy, highly potent and ridiculously sexually active. Beneath the top layer, there's a broken and hurt man that has a lot of emptiness. This book allows all the questions of why he is the way he is to be answered and gives him the chance at his own happiness.
Bailey is and forever will be Rake's love of his life. A misunderstanding tore them apart in high school and left scars on both of them. Bailey's now a single mother and teacher. She does well for herself and takes care of her daughter. When she runs across Rake, it's explosive in all the wrong ways. The shit storm kicks up and from then on the two run into each other and clash. Think of constant bombs going off and you have Rake and Bailey.
As the story continues on, the bombs don't stop dropping but change why they are dropping. Bailey and Rake attempt to heal and move forward while still very much loving one another. Club drama kicks up throwing things further into a loop. Through it all, Rake does everything he can to protect Bailey and goes as far as to mark her as his even before she accepts it herself. There's something so special about love winning out in the end and seeing someone so desperately in need of love getting it that makes me sigh from happiness. I loved the read and totally can't wait to see what comes from the Wild Men because Talon and Ranger appeal to me. I need to know what happens to those gorgeous men! -
Rake’s Redemption is the fourth book in the Wind Dragons MC series, and we finally get Rake’s story!
Rake is definitely a player, but he hasn’t always been that way. Not until Bailey broke his heart, seven years before. Now, Bailey is back in the picture and feelings are all over the place, and they are either pushing each other away or pulling each other closer.
This book kept me turning the pages, as I was so intrigued to find out what had happened for them to break up. When the truth comes out—what Rake also didn’t know—I was shocked and wanted to cry for what had actually happened. The past opened old wounds for both of them, and they had to find a way to get through it so they could try to be together again. It was very emotional at times; you can tell that they should be together, but there was a lot of stuff in the way and things that had to be worked through.
I really liked this book. It was a great addition to the series and a great rendition of a second-chance love story. Bailey and Rake’s relationship was very interesting, especially at the beginning having just seeing each other again after seven years. I liked being able to see them fall back together after so many years of being apart, but having each other in their hearts all along.
The epilogue to this book was a cute little look into the future. I look forward to reading the next book in this series. ~ Leah, 4.5 stars -

I always look forwarding to reading a book from the Wind Dragon series, because they are always fun and entertaining reads. Even though this book was my least favorite book of the series, I still really enjoyed it.
I loved seeing all of the characters from the previous books! They are all fantastic characters, and it was so nice to see them all interact again. Bailey, the main character of this book, was great. I enjoyed her commentary a lot! I thought she was a smart woman who had a strong head on her shoulders. I think she adds a nice addition to the group of women in this series
Adam/Rake was sexy and intense. I liked how loyal he was to the people he cared about. However, sometimes he got a little too intense for me. I didn't like how bossy he would be towards Bailey. I can do alpha male, but sometimes, it got to be a little too much. I would have liked that to have been toned down.
The connection between Adam and Bailey was palpable. Chantal did a great job at creating believable chemistry and tension between them. I would have liked their drama to have been solved a little sooner, because the secret keeping was driving me crazy. Once the air was cleared between the two of them, I enjoyed their relationship a lot more! Bailey and Adam made a great couple.
I felt like there wasn't a lot going on in this book compared to the previous books. A majority of the book consisted of drinking, hooking up, and partying. Now, there isn't anything necessarily wrong with that! However, it did get a little repetitive after a while. I would have liked there to have been more action in this book. I thought some of the chapters dragged a bit because it felt like the characters kept doing the same thing over and over again. All of that being said, I still found this book to be very entertaining. The characters were all hilarious and their interactions were great! Chantal has created so many unique and lovable characters that I have grown attached too.
Overall, this was sexy and quick read. I would definitely recommend this book to fans of the Wind Dragons series! I am excited to see what will happen in the next book.

"Love isn't enough, at least not this time."
Wind Dragon's MC is one of my favorite series. I've become very attached to the characters and have anxiously waited for Rake's story. There have been hints of his kinkiness and I wanted confirmation - LOL. What I didn't expect was the Rake that I got to know in this book. He wasn't all laid back and easy going, not the life of the party. He had issues that I was very curious to understand. I wanted to be one of the girls so I could gossip and speculate about what caused him to be the way he is.
I have to warn you that the author teased me mercilessly with the big secret that caused Rake & Bailey's fall-out. I knew that they still had very strong feelings for each other, but I wasn't exactly sure if it was the hate or the love that won the battle. All I do know is that when they are anywhere near each other, you better stand back, because it's gonna get HOT! They are fighting themselves as hard as they are fighting each other, and it's not working. Their connection is vein-deep and apparently it's stronger than their ability to ignore it. But that doesn't mean they don't give it their best shot. Nope, they fight it, hard.
As in all the books in this series, there is club business that keeps me guessing, and anticipating their next move. All of the Wind Dragon girls are badass and a blast to hang out with. They keep me in a constant state of giggle-snorting when they get together. And the men, they are all badass and bossy, keeping a tight reign on their women. That doesn't mean that they win every battle though. Nope, they have a hard time saying no to their women and the negotiations are very entertaining.
I met some new characters, and fell harder for some others. I did some mental matchmaking and fantasizing that has me excited to see what's in store for the next installment in this series. But no matter who or what it's about, I'm a fan and will be thrilled to get my hands on it. The line forms here... -
Had higher hopes for this story and, boiling my thoughts down, it didn’t fully work for me.
Rake (Adam) made a horrible mistake in judgment that changed the trajectory of both of his and Bailey’s lives. When he finally learned the truth it broke him, sure he felt bad, but there was nothing more than crying and an apology. No grovel and grovel was needed!! Rake, basically, decided to punish himself by walking away from Bailey and letting her find happiness without baggage elsewhere. After everything that had happened, she had to chase him. Nope, nope, nope.
There were also loose plot points and things that seemed out of place like Bailey’s baby daddy showing up out of the blue. And, despite the fast forward epilogue, I was left with a bad feeling from the book about their long-term HEA. Rake was such an extreme manwhore that his behavior makes it hard to believe he will stay satisfied with one woman for the rest of his life. He even mentioned to Bailey after they became a couple that he would be cool having a threesome with her and a club whore if that was one of her fantasies. (insert eye-roll)
