Nice coffee table book of photos that you can just look at, or give you ideas of places to visit the next time you are in Kyoto. There isn't really much explanation about the structure and components of Zen Gardens. This book is not a manual. Also, note that though each page has English and Japanese, the English is not a translation of the Japanese. Wright kind of gives his own commentary here, but in the essays at the end of the book he does kind of go back and touch on the Japanese language content earlier in the book.
