His fiery secret and a hot, one-night stand will set in motion events able to change her life forever -- but all dragons aren't ready to accept mortalkind. As shadowy forces in the draconic world object to their new union, Chloe must find the strength to fight for a future with the man she holds dear.

When Marceline Vargas agrees to join her friend Chloe for an island vacation in Mexico, she's ready for fun in the sun and an escape from her hectic career. After crossing paths with the resort's owner, she soon discovers the billionaire dragon shifter is a charismatic enigma -- sexist but kind-hearted, intimidating yet generous. Can his chauvinistic patterns be tamed? Marcy intends to find out.

Loved by the Dragon Collection (Loved by the Dragon #1-3; Dawn of the Dragons, #1) Reviews

This book is written as four novellas. Two novellas are about Chloe and Saul. Two are about Marcy and Teo. Saul and Teo are dragon shifters while Chloe and Marcy are human. Both sets of novellas are love stories with HEA endings. The stories have simple plots and strong characterization. This book contains profanity and explicit sex.

  • N.N. Heaven

I love dragon shifter romances and I was so taken in by the premise and the cover. The story itself was cute but totally cliche. It was like all the bad romance lines came together in this dragon erotic romance. Disappointing and actually didn't finish it. If you're looking for a funny fluff romance, this is it!

    My Rating: 3.5

Vivienne Savage is a Paranormal Adult Romance ....... Sort of.

It started out good then fell flat on its face. There is an enormous amount of editing errors, typo's and just flat out bad writing. The characters are hard to like. The first 2 stories are about Saul, the dragon and Chloe, the human female. The third story is about Chloe's best friend, Marcy and Saul's dragon friend, Teo.

Both Saul and Teo are made to look like 400 plus year old virginal idiots. Chloe and Marcy are crude and juvenile. Ms. Savages's endeavor to make her leading females look dominate had the opposite effect.

There is very little real romance and the sex borders on boring. The most ridiculous things are said and done in all three of these stories. The end result is the stories are asinine.

  • Jackie - Fire & Ice Book Reviews

I love PNR and dragons, and Vivienne Savage gave me one kickass story. From the characters to the plot and storyline, I loved it all. PNR fans will love this spicy collection!

Got boring really quickly. Typical over the top stuff. The sex was mind blowing for her but I found it boring. I didn't bother finishing.

I decided to try a shape-shifter paranormal romance, because it's not my usual type of book to read. This was a Kindle freebie and I maybe should have chosen a better representation of the genre, because while it started off good, it swiftly deteriorated into something I didn't want to pick up past the 23% mark.

The plot was ludicrous, the dialogue stilted, badly in need of continuity editing and a non-safe sex scene that really REALLY needs to be re-written. No BFF I know would be upset with their BFF if they passed up sex with a hot stranger they just met about five minutes ago, because no condom. If they were a true friend, they would be upset if their friend DID have unprotected sex with said stranger.

So yeah, REALLY bad scene that took away from any smexyness the scene could have evoked.

Two, I didn't hate it, but don't want to pick it up again, stars. Any suggestions for better written paranormal romance? I'm trying to stretch my comfort level, but have no clue where to start. So while this book didn't do it for me, that could be in part due to it not being my fav genre. Your mileage may vary.

I loved Chloe and Saul and watching her deal with learning to love her dragon and the issues that arise. Then To see Marcy and Teo struggle with there mating and Teo struggle with Marcy being independent he needed to learn how to deal with woman. Vivienne Savage was able to keep me on the edge of my seat I loved how she showed the diversity of each character and gave both couples not only there own story but each persons own aspects of the story as they saw it. I can't wait to read her next book

    Fantastic Series

I love everything about dragon shifters and Vivienne Savage does a wonderful job creating imaginative characters. After meeting Saul and Chloe in the first book I was happy to see them throughout the series.
This is an excellent series for PNR fans.

Not bad for a first time

Fist time reading this kind of books. At first was very "detailed", and then the mood changes totally, it even looked like a whole different book. However it was entertaining in some parts. Not sure if I will be reading something like this again.

    Enchanted

It was a very good book. If you are looking for a good Dragon book this is it. It is funny sexy and a delightful read. I hope to read more of Saul Chloe Teo and Marcy.

  • Dana

This series of short stories were cliche, but cute. I enjoyed the writing and the plots enough to actually review it but I doubt I’ll get the urge to revisit them.

    Loved by the Dragon

A wonderful introduction to a new fantasy series. The story follows two best friends who manage to capture the hearts of two powerful creatures hiding in plain sight.
I enjoyed the adventure and flow of the story. It was sexy, sassy, independent and fun.
I always enjoy reading about dragon shifters. They're loyal, fierce and sexy.
This is not one to miss to all the dragon shifter lovers out there.

  • Heather Gilbert

Had to set it aside for now - 13%. It's a bit too much of a 'light and fluff' read for me right this second, and is not what I am looking for - but I know I will be in the mood for this kind of tale soon enough. The writing is decent and the imagery well done.

    Chloe and Saul.
    Book 1 & 2 2.5 Stars
I didn't really like Chloe. She has sex with Saul and then runs off leaving him hanging. Then shows up again later when she decides she wants him. His ex girlfriend essentially does the same thing, and Chloe thinks she's a bitch because of it. She is a bitch, but it was a bit of the pot calling the kettle black...
I liked Saul but the reader (listened to this on audio) does a terrible time with his voice. He comes across as some kinda simpleton.

Marceline and Teotihuacan (kid you not..)
    Book 3 3.5 Stars
I enjoyed this one better than the first 2. Takes place several years after the 2nd book. Marceline dumps her loser boyfriend and goes on vacation to Teo's island resort with Chloe and her daughter. Teo keep showing up when she least expects it and acting out of character. Just as she starts to warm up to him, he sticks his foot into his mouth again... sometimes both feet! It's a strange awkward wooing but sweetly entertaining. My one pet peeve is that it took so long for Teo to go after Marceline.

I would read this author again. But maybe not one to do with dragons. I didn't really like the breed in general.

  • Davinia

I was expecting a romance and got a erotica. There is little love(ed by the dragon) just a lot of fucking :S
So that is mostly the reason for the rating. Other reasons:

    - sex on the first meeting
    - sex without a condom, on the excuse "my best friend will kill me if I don't" ?????????? who the fuck cares! you are risking your very LIFE (hello aids!) because of the opinion of your friend. What kind of reason is that. I realize the "no-condom-thing" this is a recurring theme with a lot of sexy books but most of the time it's because of things like disease-transferance not being possible between species or pregancy not being possible or just not 'at that time'. While certainly they are convenient reasons, those are better reasons than the opinion of a friend.
    - "snatch" and "hole" and "crevasse" as words of the female anatomy? how very romantic and sexy :S
    - Too shallow a tale, and I really disliked the heroine.

    also... another feathered dragon *sigh*

    Love Dragons

I enjoy reading this book. The story was well written. I would love to meet a handsome Dragon after reading this book. Can't wait to read the second book, so I can continue reading about the Latina Marcey with her new husband Teo.

  • The Book Junkie Reads . . .

I enjoyed this series it was fun, full of adventure and intrigue. Having all three books together just made the reads flow together and get a fuller picture of the world it was surrounded by.

The first thing potential readers should know about this e-book is that is how it is put together- as several novellas. The first is more of a prologue-only about eight chapters, and no real conflict or rising action. The second is more of a real story with a problem the characters must solve. The third novella features characters from the first two stories, five years later. They have no conflict or external plot points beyond their internal struggles. Interspersed between the novellas are other short stories that are the same story but from the point of view of the male character point of view. There isn't much lost from skipping these.
The second thing readers should know is how each story follows a familiar formula. Third-there are so many cliches it is not funny.

If these stories weren't fairly quickly paced, and short I probably wouldn't have finished them. There isn't much original characterization or plot development. You have the young hot woman (Chloe) who hurts put herself in danger and is rescued by the equally hot paranormal (in this case a dragon shapeshifter (Saul)) male rescues her, drawn by an explainable love. They have an instant attraction, but when she finds out the truth she runs away, frightened. Then she realizes the paranormal is something she actually loves, and they are reunited-but wait she is pregnant! will he accept the baby that might or might not be his? (answer- yes because these characters are too nice to be real.) That is the first story.
The second story is about the two lovers beginning their life together, and a beautiful ex-lover of the male trying to reestablish her claim. But since we are talking about dragons there is more than just a verbal fight-there is a duel between the human and dragon. But never fear-a legendary sword is gifted to the human, and with its magical powers she not only survives but beheads the evil dragon. oh, and not only does Saul accept the baby, but turns out it is, against all odds, magically his.
The third story is about Marcy- Chloe's best friend. The two and Chloe's daughter go on vacation to a resort, which is owned by Saul's best friend. Over the course of the stay, Marcy and Teo fall in love and have their own internal struggles about accepting a lifelong relationship between a dragon and human. Love overcomes their reason's not to be together, and they get married. At the end, Marcy is pregnant (against all magical odds), and all is good.

Overall each story is a quick romance read. You know what will happen because each story follows a clear formula.

I was a bit confused by this until I realised this was originally a serial that has been put together into one book. I didn’t realise till afterwards that I had collected all the pieces but had never gotten past part 1.
A really lovely story with an interesting plot that I enjoyed but Chloe's behaviour spoilt it for me. Chloe was not an honest person.
One act by Chloe just made me cringe though. Condensed version coming up.
    SPOILER.
She has an on/off boyfriend but is pissed at him, hence rock climbing on her own. Hides in cave from a storm and meets Saul, has sex with Saul, a total stranger, mates with him in his world by saying yes, freaks when he turns into a dragon, runs off calling him a monster.
Chloe then goes back home and disturbingly has sex with the ratbag boyfriend the same night. Not cool to my way of thinking especially as condoms were not used either time. STD, come on down.
Chloe tracks Saul down after she cannot get him out of her mind. Apologises and says he is all she can think about and can they try to be together.
Then later on after Saul asks Chloe to move in with him, Chloe finds out she is pregnant but thinks it is the ex-boyfriends, she still continues packing and moves into Saul's home without telling him the truth. I hate dishonesty like that. She does tell him two weeks later and he is okay with that as he cannot get Chloe pregnant. Of course it is Saul’s, couldn’t have it any other way for HEA.
Saul was such an old fashioned gentleman in both speech and manners. I loved it, so rare not to have an a**hole hero. He deserved to be treated better by Chloe.
After all that hassle we then get the stupidity of Chloe accepting a challenge to the death from Brigid, a female dragon who wants Saul now he doesn’t want her. Why would Chloe accept such a stupid challenge? She surely cannot win but of course she does with a magic sword.
Then later in the book her friend states that Chloe does not sleep around, hello, refer back to start of first book.
After this it all went along pretty good, I think this was all down to it originally being a series with a load of cliffhangers which is why I probably never read it even though it was on my kindle. Once it became one book with everything together, I read it,
I will say my favourite part of this series is Mahasti and Liev’s story, BEARING HER WISHES, which is not in this full set.
Teo and Marci’s story was okay and at least enjoyable.

  • Erin Penn

Three mediocre books bundled together. Felt like chicken wings too long on the grill so most of the meat is shriveled - sure you can eat it, but it is not much and the hot dogs look so much better.

Generic characters - the heroines are Mary Sues (perfect in every way - and capable of fighting dragons with no training) and the heroes, while dragon shifters, are more generic rich guys who talk funny. Everything is tied together by insta-love. Secondary characters are reporting in for the Generic Casting Call agency: BBF female to go shopping and spa hopping with, evil exes, servant-friend-advisers (sure they are servants, but generic-rich guy is friends with them so they aren't exactly servants and see, though arrogant, rich-guy has friends). Even the magic is generic, including the magic of sex, with the language of the sex neither old fashion or hot-hot.

Ms. Savage does write a complete story, with good ending tie-offs. Her scenes move logically one-after-the-other. It's like listening to a technically correct musical performance; the formula is followed but none of the extra energy of a live-performance is provided.

Received for honest review. This was such an amazing series. I loved the bonus chapters that the author include with each book. I had already read this author’s book Making Waves so when Teo was mentioned in book 2 things started clicking who Marcy was..LOL

    Saved by the Dragon:

I was given this audio for an honest review. WOW!!! There is so much that goes into making a great audio and I think Vivienne Savage has done just that. Not only did Vivienne do such an amazing job on writing a great story she picked out the perfect narrator for this book. Shashana Franck done such an amazing job. You could hear the right emotion being added in her voice when needed. It helped pull you into the book.

I loved the characters in this book. Chloe was one that was used to men being jerks. Men she dated seem to have a way treating her so poorly. So she had to be surprised when she met a man that was a gentleman and truly care what she thought and felt. One thing she was not expecting was for her to go to sleep with this hunk of a man and wake up to a dragon. Though a lot of us might tease that it would be our fantasy, I assure you if it truly happen to us we would freak out just like Chloe did or might even handle it worse. Chloe was frighten, almost felt betrayed in a way. Saul never mentioned he could shift into a dragon and now here she is waking up to a new reality.

Gees, Saul makes you want a dragon shifter of your own. He is this hot, sexy, rich, gentle, protective, and passionate man. He had never met anyone that appealed to him like Chloe did. Saul had such an innocents to him. There was so much he did not know, but so much he was ready to learn. My heart broke for Saul. The rejection he felt when Chloe reacted to his dragon. She had promised that she was his just that night and now her she was telling him it was just talk. That must of ripped his heart out so much. He must of felt like a monster and so unloved.

I loved Marcy in this book. She was such an amazing friend. Marcy put her friend’s feelings first. She truly showed true friendship when needed. Want to know how. Well read the book to find out.

I have recently been introduced to dragon shifters and are really warming up to them..lol If you have read anything from this author then you already know that you are in for a treat.

    Taming The Dragon:

Loved this story. I had already feel in love with Teo when I read Making Waves. So it was a huge treat to read about Teo and Marcy.

Teo though handsome as hell does not know the first thing about human woman. He is use to dealing with female dragons which are cold hearted. Seems like Teo can not help but let the wrong thing come out of his mouth. It is almost like he has no filter on his brain. He starts off okay but that does not last long.

Got to love Marcy. She is feisty and does not hesitate to speak her mind. I found her very brave as well. She handle the news that dragons exist quit well. She had been smitten by Teo’s looks when she first saw him 5 years ago, well that was until he open his mouth to speak. Teo did not have much use for the human race.

Macy missed her friend Cleo, she was tired of dating loser boyfriends, and was sick of her job. She need a change. What is a girl to do, oh I know kick the loser out and quit her job..LOL She had to be so excited when Cleo suggested for her to go on vacation with her, but she never dreamed it would be at Teo’s resort.

Teo seemed to work hard to try to win Marcy. When you think things are going well he goes and says the wrong thing. Will Teo every learn to keep his mouth shut up? Marcy has fear that eats at her and it is almost like a deal breaker. Can Teo easy her fear or except that will be on thing that never happens for them.

    Dragons and love stories aplenty

I just loved this book, it has so many wonderful people who interact with each other in a very believable story line. Well, as believable as a dragon and a human falling in love with each other can be. But isn't this the basis for fairy tales after all? The sex scenes were a bit over the top for my liking but I am looking forward to the authors other works as I understand she tones it down in other books. This was fun and frankly, had me reading all day when I should have been hard at work on other things but I couldn't put it out of my head. Enjoy!

Now dragons are loved by me !

I want to start by saying the stories had more explicit sex in them than I was prepared for. I could have enjoyed the stories using more of my imagination. Having said that, I truly enjoyed the three stories. I have read Vivienne's shifter series so wasn't surprised by reading g about a dragon shifter, but the complexity of the characters was amazing! Vivienne has a way with words that brings the story to life and puts you right in there with the characters. Wonderful story line.
