A Lady Never Trifles with Thieves Reviews
-
I am seriously considering give this book one of my rare 5-stars simply because the protagonist is a delight! Thoroughly engaging, clever, bold (reckless???) and a real winner. I wanted the book to continue for several more hours.
-
I needed some brain candy and as always Suzann Ledbetter delivered! For what it is (the opening book of a new mystery romance series), it was fun. It has: a smart, but not quite together heroine; a capable, lovingly exploited sidekick; and the old-fashioned but learning, gentlemanly hero. It was funny and light - Brain Candy!
-
Although the heroine of this mystery series lives in historical Colorado, that doesn’t make her any less independent or spunky. The combination of mystery, romance, and a Colorado setting may appeal to you.

Western

The story was a little all over the place, so it was hard to follow. I did like the lead character, even if she did talk a bit like a dime store western most of the time.
-
Intriguing mystery that takes place in the Old West finds detective Joby Sawyer on the trail of a philandering husband and a jewel thief killer in two separate cases. Or are they related?
-
Disappointed that the second one never was published...

I feel like I missed something, like a book that comes before. Entertaining but the pace was a little slow. I'm more interested in the main character's back-story.
