The White House Christmas Mystery is a book about four kids as the go on vacation with their grandparents to Washington D.C. to meet the president. This is a big deal because not many people get this opportunity anymore. In the beginning of this book, the four kids tour all around the city and see all of the different monuments. Then the day comes and it is time to meet the president. While the grandparents go off to interview with the president, the four kids go all around the White House trying to solve the mystery. In this book the mystery is that there are tons of wild animals running all around the White House. One of the places that the kids visit during this search is the Green Room. In this room they see a lot of pictures of the different presidents and plates from when the presidents lived in the White House. Another room they visit is the Oval Office. In this room all of the kids take turns sitting in the presidents chair and pretend they are the president. Lastly, before they solve the mystery, the president invites them to stay for dinner because the weather got really bad and they were snowed in. This tops the day off for all of the kids and they get very excited when they meet the First Family. This is a fun book that teaches you many facts about Washington D.C. and the White House.
