Harriet Manners knows a lot about Christmas.
She knows that every year Santa climbs down 91.8 million chimneys.
She knows that Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer was almost definitely a girl.
She knows that the first artificial Christmas trees were made out of goose feathers.
But this Christmas is extra special for Harriet, because four days ago she had her First Ever Kiss.
Now she just needs to work out what's supposed to happen next…
A romantic festive treat from the internationally bestselling award-winning author of the GEEK GIRL series. Also includes a BONUS previously unpublished GEEK GIRL short story TEAM GEEK!

Harriet Manners loves Christmas. This novella fits in between the first two books in the Geek Girl series. Includes bonus holiday content and an additional short story. My favorite part was Wilbur's phone call. He is a hoot!

Geek Girl: All Wrapped Up - ★★★★
Geek Girl: All Wrapped Up is a Christmas special and a spin-off from the Geek Girl Series, written by Holly Smale. It is cute and full of Christmas spirit and I only have one regret - I wish I read it in December.
In this book, we follow the lovely and geeky Harriet again. She is stressed about her first date, but her friends come to the rescue. They have an action plan on how to make this boy fall in love!
As I have already mentioned in my Geek Girl review - I love Harriet's personality. Her geekiness is something that I didn't read much about while growing up and it makes me happy that it slowly starts to be available to teenage girls.
Geek Girl: All Wrapped Up features Christmas and I loved all the facts about different Christmas traditions all over the world, all the Christmas jokes and recipes in this book. When reading, I could feel the Christmas Spirit on every page and it was wonderful.
There isn't a big story line or any twists happening, but Geek Girl: All Wrapped Up is a lovely festive addition to the original Geek Girl series. I can't wait to read the next book and see what Harriet is going to do next. Something mischievous, I am sure!

Now, Harriet Manner's is utter perfection - even though she isn't perfect. She's the geeky inner self that most teenagers, *cough*me*cough*, try to hide, and she's not afraid to let everyone know she's a geek. In this novella, she's excited for two very special reasons: firstly, it's days until Christmas and school has broken up for the holiday's; secondly, she's just had her first kiss ever, and it was with the swoony Lion Boy of all people. If you know me, and have read my review of book 4, All That Glitters, you'll know I love Lion Boy Nick, and was gutted when he wasn't in the last instalment. To have this story was just the thing I needed.
In true Harriet fashion, she over thinks everything, and uses maths, science, etc. to explain what is happening, post kiss, and even plans out perfectly what will happen next. Unfortunately, due to a slight mix up, she's left thinking Nick hasn't been contacting her, but, thank god, they get it all sorted. Their very first date was perfect, and I was sat with a permanent fangirling grin on my face reading the book. I honestly think I may have devoured the book - I read it in less than an hour, I'd say.
We met all our favourite characters again: Harriet and Nick (obviously), Nat, Toby, Dad, Annabel - but not baby Tabitha, she's still cooking :p. I also loved the fact it wasn't all story. We have the usual little lists of facts that we love about Harriet, but always her letter, and her dad's, to Santa, her present questionnaire, and even Toby's 'how well do you know Harriet Manners' quiz. I liked having more to Harriet's whole story, and can't wait to read the summer novella when it is released.
To end this review, I'm just going to say, I loved it all! I love Harriet, I love Lion Boy, I love the whole cast of misfits, and I just love the story. Basically, everyone should read it - ASAP!!! In the immortal words of Toby Pilgrim: 'Why is Harriet Manners so amazing? She's Harriet Manners.' -
I definitely liked this one better than the first Geek Girl. I also learnt new facts about Christmas... Harriet is very smart. I loved how Harriet thought Nick hadn't called or messaged her when it just turned out he had the wrong number and had organised plans with someone unknown. There date was so awkward at the start but ended up that they felt comfortable around each other and had fun.. that's what you want.

Why am I starting this book series so late?!? Have I been living under a rock?!!
I love love love it so much <3 -
Really put me in the Christmassy mood! I love anything to do with the Geek Girl series, so when Holly Smale throws cute little tidbits at her readers like this, I get unbelievably excited. Harriet and Nick's romance has developed so much in my mind after reading this short story, I can't wait for 'Head Over Heels'!

Dit is zoooooo'n schattig boekje! Een must-read voor elke Geek-fan deze kerst. Niet laten liggen voor die €2,50 :)

All Wrapped Up is the perfect holiday novella to get you in the festive mood and it's also an added bonus for all of the Geek Girl fans!
Could we love Harriet and Nick any more? Well this special novella gives some special insight to the their first ever date along with their first kiss. I did wonder why we missed it in between Geek Girl ending and Model Misfit starting but this was a fab way to flash back in time, but also if you're all up to date with the series and are Team Lion Boy then this could be a little bit heart-breaking too.
All Wrapped Up has a little bit of everything for the festive holidays and it's full of swoon-worthy moments and not only that, it felt real. Harriet's personality shone throughout this novella more than ever and it just made me love her even more. If you're a fan of this beautiful couple then it's definitely a must-read this year.
Thank you to HarperCollins for giving me the opportunity to review this book in exchange for an honest review. -
Some light pre-christmas fun! Nick and Harriet are just goals <3

This was such a lovely and enjoyable quick read in-between more thicker books. This Christmas story was really cute and it was fun to read about Harriet being in charge for once.
-
Such a thrill. Finished this in an hour. I wish there were more of Harriet!

All Wrapped Up was a little tasty appetiser for me. It’s to whet my appetite for the fifth Geek Girl book, Head Over Heels which will be out later this year. I really enjoyed it but I was gutted when I finished it. I took less than an hour to finish All Wrapped Up because it is a short and sweet story but I wished it were longer. BECAUSE I CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH OF HARRIET MANNERS. -
Um so I don't feel like wasting energy on a review for a novella , so without further ado, here are my 2 lines regarding this story:
similarly to the first book: it was cute. it was fun. it was a fast read. the MC still seems a bit unrealistic in her portrayal. the romance was adorable. I still think I would have enjoyed this so much more though if I read this at the age of 15.
also, I thought this would be necessary for me to read in order to understand the next book, despite it being merely a novella, but it's not, so if you're not too keen on wasting 10.00$ on a 160-page story, don't. Albeit a cute read, it's not worth it. -
I love Harriet. Such a cute, sweet and quick story.

Oh, how I love Holly Smale's Geek Girl series! This winter special was utterly adorable and has truly put me in the mood for Christmas. Harriet Manners never fails to make me smile with her geeky insights, obsession with dinosaurs and awkward moments. Read this in one go as I just couldn't put it down (it was so cute). Hooray for Harriet (and Nick, and Toby, and everybody else)!

As always I love love love any book Holly Smale writes, so it's no surprise why I enjoyed this book.
Full of everything you need with laughter.
Really liked this one and can't wait for the next -
This was really cute and now I'm kind of intrigued to dive into the rest of the series.
All Wrapped Up definitely got me into the holiday vibes. Even though it's June.. Christmas is forever in my heart. I love winter so much that if I could live in a winter globe - I wouldn't be mad one bit. In it, you will meet Harriet and she is freaking excited. Why? Well, Christmas is basically around the corner and she is absolutely ready for it all. It also doesn't help that she just got her very first kiss.
Enter heart eyes guys! Nick was so freaking adorable and I loved them together. I most definitely want more of them and that's probably why I'm going to go back into this series. It also doesn't help that I kind of miss everyone as well? Just saying.. it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. Definitely need to finish series that I started because I'm tired of being a slacker.
In the end, this book was so cute and so short. I wish it was bit longer just because I already miss everyone. -
I loved this book, it was just so adorable. I loved reading about Harriets first date and how when she’s anxious she rambles non stop facts until either someone stops her or it has the desired effect.
I also love Nicks nature and how he treats her. Like the facts that he took her ice skating so that he could be the hero and it turns out it’s not as easy as it looks and he can’t actually skate whereas Harriet can so she helps him. It feels like it puts them on a level playing field.
I also love how protective of Harriet, Natalie is. It makes me wish that I had a best friend like that. I can’t wait to see what happens next. I love reading about Harriet because it’s like I’m reading about something that I would do. I love that she’s clumsy and makes mistakes. It all just makes her human. -
Our Geek Girl is back! This time we have got Christmas + First Dates. <3
This book is just the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirits. Though Christmas is still a month away, and here we still have one holiday before that (Sinterklaas), I was delighted with all the Christmassy stuff happening in this book. Trees! Decorations! Songs! Horrendous Christmas Sweaters! Presents! Santa! Bad Jokes! And so so much more, I was just delighted, though Christmas is apparently yet another thing that Harriet takes a bit too seriously. I mean, really, starting in August? Sorry, but what? Summer is barely over and you just immediately hop to the holiday of Christmas?
This book takes place when Harriet just has kissed Nick, and also during the time her stepmother is still pregnant. I am really delighted that we have a book that takes place during this time. The whole Nick kiss is just <3, and then to get to read about their first date? Since, that is what this book is all about. About a wonderful, romantic, sweet date with my favourite guy character (after Wilbur of course, who is just super awesome). Can you imagine how hard I was squealing when I heard that it would be about that? I was so happy. Of course, you all know how Harriet is, right? So you can just imagine how the date, and the parts before the actual date, will go. Filled with facts, hilarious antics, a very very nervous Harriet, our annoying Stalker Toby. I actually felt a bit sorry for Nick. Who was just confused about a lot of stuff, especially on how Harriet was behaving.
The actual date, and where our characters went to have their date, was just swoon-worthy and cute. And also hilarious, as I wasn’t expected that to happen.
After the story about Harriet’s and Nick’s date, we also have several goodies, including bad Christmas jokes, surveys, an interview with the author. It was so much fun to read them, it gave more insight in the character, and we learned more about the author. :)
All in all, this book is full with facts (Harriet still is our little fact machine), Christmas, romance, and I would highly recommend it to everyone!

So sweet and Christmassy!
-

I’m a huuuuuge lover of Britain, the British people, the language, everything. Reading books by British authors is waaaaay more fun than books by American author. They just have different references that make it so much more charming.
“I’m struggling with the real wand request, so if you’ve got any lying around please feel free to send one over. A good one made out of unicorn hair or phoenix feather, please. We don’t need any dragon heartstrings in this house.”
Things that Harriet Manners loves: “Documentaries about king penguins narrated by David Attenborough.” (Love how autocorrect knew the name😂😂)
Fun fact:
- You can fit a baby through the blowhole of a whale.
- There’s a molecule in every breath we take that used to be a part of a dinosaur.
Another fun fact: the amount of fun facts you learn while reading the geek girl series is insane. -
It was great. I was a quick read as well. Read this book in a day. Not even that probably 3-4 hours. I loved reading the end part and taking all the quizzes there was at the end of the book. Thank you holly smile for creating such a great book all I have left now are the other novellas, then I have finished the whole entire series. Love to read more. Thank you.
