I know this is ONV Kurup and the great lyricist and all, but honestly, this collection did nothing to me. I did not enjoy any single poem, and the repetitiveness of meter and the patriarchal images annoyed me. This collection is written with a very strong male perspective, and I could not connect with it at all, though I enjoy a lot of male-POV songs in movies.
