Another fun You Choose adventure. It was so much fun being able to relive the classic Cinderella story through these three fresh spins.

This collection features a modern Cinderella as a fashion-loving teen; Asher, a wannabe architect; and Drella, who has a knack for fixing and flying spaceships. Each story felt entirely its own with multiple paths to lead to happily ever after (or not so happily ever after).

The format worked well as an ebook with links to go back to the start to choose a new path. The writing is simple yet engaging. Each story is accompanied by multiple black-and-white illustrations which pair well while reading.

I am really enjoying the You Choose: Fractured Fairy Tales series to add a fun twist on classic fairy tales and get a say in what happens next. As with the other books, this one includes a section on some of the Cinderella stories from around the globe as well as critical thinking questions using the Common Core to further delve into the story and retell the events.

Can't wait to read the next book. Wonder which retelling I should tackle next.

This was adorable. I love You Choose books. I love fractured fairy tale.
The last chapter telling about the first Cinderella story on record, and the different versions. Plus as a school librarian, I loved the Common Core information and Read More sections.

I never read Choose Your Own Adventure books as a kid, but maybe I was missing out.

This is three whole different worlds-- contemporary, fantasy, and science fiction-- and you pick which thread you want to go with. A few are fairly bleak endings, but most are happy.

    Really cute!

This was super cute, and I loved the history at the end of how this fairy tale came to be throughout the years.

I haven't read a You Choose since third grade and I absolutely loved this. I read about two dozen different Cinderella stories!

Making fairy tales interactive! What a clever idea! I loved that one of the three tales involved a young man in a "cinderella" story. The other two tales are a girl in modern day and a girl in the space-age, both fun ideas. There are twists so that you cannot predict the outcome of the path you choose. The down part of the book is that the actual stories themselves read like a "to-do" list and plod along rather than flow. A little tweaking would make this the perfect choice for young fairy tale lovers. Still, younger grades will enjoy it.

Love that choose your own adventure books are coming back, I loved them as a kid. This series is upping the fractured fairytale ante. I enjoyed that the main character (you, the reader) has the option of travelling to different time periods depending on the first choice. Looking forward to purchasing a few of the other titles available.

Love it! Bought this book as an impulse buy and it was wonderful! Used it as part of the G3 and G4 book for Book Week and they are obsessed. Now I need to order it for the library since all the kids are eyeing Ms. Tina's personal copy!! Hahahaha great book! Nothing beats the look on the kids face when you end up in space with Cinderella!

I wish this type of "Choose Your Own Adventure" book was around when I was a child. This new "You Choose" series has an assortment from fiction to nonfiction from fairy tales to historical fiction. Cinderella's story is given 3 new twists, including a male as the main character.

  • Karen Arendt

A fun interactive story for fairy tale fans. Readers can choose from a modern day Cinderella, a space age Cinderella, and a medieval male Cinderfella. With each path readers then make additional choices whole reading.

I always loved books like these!

    Eye roll.
