The Vance Twins did it again by collecting adopted people’s voices but this time from Korea who have been scatter to many countries all over the world. Korean adoptees who have made the news, such as Monte Haines and Adam Crasper are included, who have been deported and still waiting to return to America. The adoption industry needs to stop labeling children as orphans in order to process them overseas is what I think needs to happen.

Very emotional read
Excellent for those that have experienced transracial adoption and for those of us that love and support them. It opens your eyes to their world and feelings. -
Some incredibly heartbreaking stories (trigger warning). I honestly felt like some of the essays were my own personal diary pages — they resonated with me in a profound way.

The best book on Korean adoption because it comes from adoptees and not from the adoptive parents. I am amazed by the courage these writers have. Excellent book. Thank you so much sharing with the public. Everyone needs to know about the hidden side of adoption. If not, history tends to repeat itself. Kudos to all Korean adoptees! I'm just floored. I thought I was all alone. This book has truly helped me to see that there are other adoptees out there. I'm also amazed that Janine has taken care of her adoptive father for more than 30 years after a accident that left him forever disabled. :'0 thank you Janine for taking the time to get these books out to the world.
