Free Comic Book Day 2010: Archie's Summer Splash (Free Comic Book Day: Archie) Reviews

It's been a long time, since I last read an Archie comic. It felt great to meet the same old Archie, Jughead, Betty & Veronica. The story is short & the artwork has changed a bit since I last read it. But the characters and their one liners are still funny with clean humour (a rarity in today’s times). More importantly, it brought back many happy memories. Riverdale would always remain that one happy place for me.

I have never been Archie's fan. From early childhood, I find him anything but cheesy perfect boy next door who is not that charming even! I even can't tell Veronica and Betty apart.
But my fav was and always will be Jughead! Jughead Jone rocks and saves Archie's comics! Having said that, I was disappointed when he didn't come up that much in this one. Well, the best part is, it is free so I can't complain much.
Graphics resolution is perfect and art flawless so kudos for that! -
Fun, fun for everyone!
Well call me a hog and butcher me for bacon.! Cheryl Blossom is a toad when she sings to the gang. It a hoot to see At his and the gang with all their nefarious escapades. It's a great comic book, and don't forget to look for the show Riverdale playing right now on network television. Murf -
Short, but still a fun read.
The Archies are set to play at a beach musical festival. Then, Cheryl Blossom wants to as well. Trouble is, Blossom sounds terrible. Nobody wants to hurt Cheryl's feelings, but they don't enjoy her singing, either. So, they act like the festival has been relocated to elsewhere, when it really hasn't. Blossom goes there, but The Archies sing at the beach. -
Entertaining
This is officially first from Archies for me. Prior to this I only read it when the short of the series were published in newspapers when I was too young. Good to read it after so long. Enjoyed. -
Found this free on amazon and thought... Finally Something new to read in the Archie comic collection. It's short, but I still enjoy reading those :)

Free Comic Book Day 2010
Awesome Archie's comic with a great story and great illustrations. Not much has changed from my youth with regards to this. Excellent example of a classic comic short read. 😍 -
I love Archie Comics
This was a fun little comic. Laughing at Cheryl Blossom was my favorite probably my favorite part. Must read more Archie. -
Archie's Summer Splash is a cute, little comic following Cheryl Blossom wanting to be the center of attention at the beach - which includes forming a band and being a bad singer.
I wish there was a few more pages to see how this story would have went. I would have just loved to see the follow through, but this story was cut short. If there would have been a bit more meat to the story, I would have loved it a lot more. It felt more like a tease than an actual story.
Overall, it was cute. I liked this better than some of the previous Archie comics I've picked up.
Three out of five stars. -
Too short
I thought it was a whole book but its just one story. A good story but not enough. Glad Cheryl got what she deserved. -
Laughing my ass off! This is hilarious!
Yes, Cheryl is a huge bitch (and confident to that) but I felt pity when she was thrown off course. But hell yea, they'd be saving a thousand of ears though! Ag, nostalgia! I missed reading Archie comics suddenly.
Thanks, Amazon for the free copy! -
Read A Comic Book!
I love to read every type of book, even comic books. So when I stumbled upon this free Archie comic book, I didn't think twice. I read it during a moment in which I was stressed. During and after I read the Archie comic, I felt more relaxed and at ease. Reading is something I personally love to do. I recommend reading for everyone, especially young people. Even if it's starting out reading comics, it's very beneficial to one's learning and well being. Archie comics are always fun to read. It was the very first comic book I've ever read. -
My first & last experience of the Archie comic's
I thought that I would give this comic a go as it was part of the 2010 Free Comic Book Day. It was a simple story and was not too badly illustrated all be it simple, this comic is probably more suited for younger readers, just not my cup of tea. -
A short and wonderful read with a lesson
The best thing about comics is no matter what how old you are, you'll enjoy it just the same. I've read a lot of Archie comics, especially the weird mysteries series and this one was just as delightful. A short comic with a fun way to get rid of irky people! Read it you won't be disappointed :) -
short but sweet
This is really short but you can't complain because it's free. It brought back memories of laying in my room reading Archie comic books over and over , as a teen. I already bought more Archie e-comic to read. I can't wait. -
Cute story
Big fan of archie comics since I was a kid and saw this for free so jumped on it! It is a quick read but good for any fan -
Can't go wrong reading Archie Comics, for me and sure for others it makes you think of your youth. Since been reading them for 40 years, one of the few comics as a kid, my parents would let me read and think probably since my Dad would read them also. While I like the older issues, finding that the newer written ones aren't that bad and nice to see them still around to entertain a new generation of fans.

I got this for my daughter bc she seemed to have an easier time reading at a good pace with the comics. Archie comics have great memories for me.
