Having been approached by some secret organization that polices the demon world, I'm now left with the choice of if I want to join them or not. My entire world has been flipped upside down. I used to just be Brian Cordero, sexy as hell cop with a body as masculine as my machismo. Life was great! Then, a month ago I met Raphael. The things he did to me changed me forever in more ways than one. Now, I'm an Agoto demon, a soul eater and apparently, that's top tier in the demon world. It's also one of the reasons I was approached by Agent Smith. Really, that's her name. Anyway, I've got a lot on my mind and I'm having a hard time focusing on what's important because I can't get Raphael's chiseled Mediterranean features out of it. I spend every waking moment thinking about sex and with what I am, I know I need him as he's my mate. But I just can't bring myself accept that. On top of that, If I do decide to joined this organization, I've been tasked with bringing in a very powerful demon into the fold.
God, what the hell am I going to do?
Warning: This serial contains strong adult content not meant for sensitive eyes. The novelettes in this serial will be filled with dark, twisted, raunchy and steamy scenes between powerful, sexy men and women that will either offend you or get ya revved up. This series will not be pulling any punches, and it won’t apologize for hurting your feelings, either. You’ll find no fluff and ruffles here. These demons play hard and they fight dirty.
There are approximately 29000 words in this novelette.
Initiated (The Demon Gate #2) Reviews

Brian will meet the secret society that fights demons and tries to lock the gates of hell. And since he is a good cop, he will join them without realizing the consequences.
He will also meet his King of his line of demons. Very intense meeting.
And he will still resist Raphael unsuccessfully. Very intense meeting.
Overal, very dark and very intense continuation. And maybe slightly weirder than the first book. -
these books are literally like mcdonalds burgers. they're objectively not really good quality and full of all sorts of shite yet at you find them inexplicably delicious and addicting
damn now i want a big mac -
BR with my fellow "Bellaholic" Julie.
This was again another great episode of "The Demon Gate Series". But I do think we're still working up to the really good stuff!!
Two new characters are introduced:
Mr. Cassien
(President of the "Society")
Adriel Sâma
(Demon King of "Hell's eighth gate")
My only wish for this series is that we get less m-f sex!! As Brian needs to accept his new bisexuality!!
“I won’t have you ashamed of me, Brian. You will accept both my role and your own,” Adriel said, rising from the kitchen chair.
“You don’t even know if I am going to accept your deal,” I said. “Don’t I? Remember, I know the hearts of men.
I knew you were going to say yes even before you went into the bathroom. So, let’s make it official.
Say it.”

Overall book rating: 4
Audio book: N/A
Book cover: 3 Stars
Rating this series one book at a time is not that easy, cause you really have to see the BIGGER picture as a whole to show appreciation. It’s not my usual type of thing. There is no hearts and flowers moments here so move along if that is a MUST have thing for you.
I’m gonna keep reading on for a little while longer, because I’m sensing something on the horizon, and that just might make it worth the wait.
I’m totally in the dark here seeing as it’s my first Nicholas Bella and I don’t know the author or what his usual style is. So I’m feeling like a kid with a lucky packet here.
Oh and isn’t Adriel a gift? Adriel...and a little submission? How good is this gonna get? Can’t wait! -
3 Fem bits Stars!
I love this book, but damn!
This would have been a rock solid 4 or 5 stars, but I do NOT endure fem bits well these days. So it it a shaky 3 Stars
Because, besides the fem bits, this book was absolutely fab!
The execution or rather intro this book was stunning, I felt The engine roar of the engine as he speed to get to his mate.. This writer know how to set a pace. I loved it, the flow was splendid . This writer has me hooked on his easy raunchy dare-devil writing style for sure. I am starting to not like Rafael leaving Brain without knowledge I simply do not understand that? But, I still am on pins and needles in eagerness to open of the next tale to this story. I so look forward to the next. -
this is how I see Adriel Sâma
Can't wait to see what he would make of Brian.
I couldn't keep myself from thinking about how the Japanese use sama to adresse someone of higher rank so just saying Adriel Sama felt like I was saying master Adriel it just put everything into perspective from the first time his name was mentioned and it felt somewhat real like I didn't even need a tilte to adresse him his name is enough to demand the respect. I felt Like I didn't have a choice but to submit to him in a way if it does make sense
(it's the influence of reading a lot of manga I guess sama had a strong impression on me) -
Just not for me.

The sexual tension is off the charts with sparks flying in every direction. Plus the sex was intense and sexy as hell. Yup, it's a very steamy book indeed.
The characters are interesting and multi-dimensional. I am excited to see a potential harem in progress and loved it when the MC gets tons of passionate affection and attention from attractive men. Moreover, Raphael and Adriel are more than fine male specimens.
Right, now we move on to the cons. I didn't quite like the naivety of the MC since he is a cop and a twenty-something adult, therefore supposed to be more streetwise than he is right now. He makes me feel frustrated with the life-changing choices he had made so far. This is why his character felt much younger to me then he is supposed to be. Apart from this flaw in the character creation of the MC, the other characters seem pretty good.
Yup, I am still in love with the story and excited to move on to the next book in this series. I actually felt anxious having to stop and do this review first.

Nvm that I had to overlook the rape in the first book. It was still interesting. The relationship was at least developing and the book had a promising plot and future.. The demon society, the soul eaters... It was all a good plot needed. I even rated it 4*
However this book was a huge disappointment. It started really good but at the last 1/3rd it completely destroyed all the promises...because when I consider the authors other books, you already know where this leads to.
When you ever read the books 'chained in darkness' you will see right away the authors preference for sub and Dom relationship again. Not to mention that for some really twisted way, she likes to build in 'rapes', as she does like BDSM.
Which is a shame for this book because she could have lead this series to another level than her previous achievement 'chained in the darkness' (a series that has literally nothing to offer but sex).
Additionally to that why is it so hard for her just to create a bisexual or homosexual character from the start? I for my part do not care about straight boys who gets suddenly turned on by a dick.
I found it very annoying that It started to concentrate so much on his sexuality. I don't care about it, otherwise why would I care to read about it? I felt like the last 1/3rd of the story been all about how much he likes puss*s and hates dicks. Better to teach him a lesson to accept his new sexual preference -eye roll-
I do not see how the 3rd book will change my opinion, I'm pretty sure I know where it leads to. I'm dropping of here. -
Different from his previous series but this one is just warming up.

Another must read for every Bellaholic! -
And the paranormal activities continue! We pick up from where we left off in the first installment, that is the interaction between Raphael and Brian. We get to understand a bit more as Raphael reveals some more layers of the demon world.
As Brian continues on his new journey and accepts being newly recruited to the "Society" he meets more of his kind and realizes the vast dangers that lay ahead for mankind. He is given his first task to recruit the help of a demon King who resides here on Earth. However, when Brian meets this hulking and extremely attractive King a new dynamic is added, one that he most certainly did not bargain for. He must accept some very uncomfortable terms to gain the help of the King and as a consequence this affects his mate Raphael.
This second book basically carries the story into a new dimension and exploration.
Solid 3 stars!
Some main elements of this book:
-multiple partners (a huge pet peeve of mine.. but in the context of this book I guess its fitting)
- MM and MF experiences
- mixed emotions
- new threats and new dynamics
- demons and weird sexual auras
- aiming towards MMM experiences it seems -
This was better than the first one. As in it didn't start out with raaaaaaaaaape.
There were some slightly rapey moments, but not nearly as much.
Still a lot of 'i'm not gay, but I need this'
And now we have a new player for him to get his 'i'm not gay' lusting on. (But this time it's not the demon and it's mate.. so whoop boy you Bi. Get over it.)
Would have done a better review but I've read several books since I finished listening to this. -
Things are heating up!!!

The entire month of October has been dedicated to books in the Horror/Paranormal/Halloween themes. As you can see, this series is named The Demon Gate Series, so it fits right in.
I was given a complimentary copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
This is episode two in the Demon Gate Series and these should be listened to in order so you can fully understand the events taking place in this story.
Brian is beginning to learn a little bit more about what it means to be an Agato demon in this story, but he still doesn’t want to accept his feelings towards Raphael, or even his feelings in general. He does seem to have more and more heaped on his plate. His Agato demon doesn’t like to have to wait for its needs or desires to be met for one thing and Brian being stubborn fights right up to the bitter end. He finally seeks Raphael out because he needs answers as much as the Agato needs to mate and maybe Brian might want and need to mate as well, but like I said… stubborn.
Raphael doesn’t hand out the information like he should though. He’s acting almost childish and petulant for a 300 plus year old Agato demon, but I think that maybe some of that is because he’s got some hurt feelings. He’s found his mate and his mate doesn’t want anything to do with him when it’s clear that Raphael could be head over heels for Brian if Brian would let him. The two of them have chemistry and sexual tension that jumps right out of the story and when they finally have sex it is some of the hottest sex ever.
In my opinion, this would be enough for a great story, but Nicholas Bella takes it to another level. There’s a secret organization that Brian decides to join and a very powerful demon that he has to try to get to help him in solving a mystery.
The suspense just keeps ramping up and the story keeps getting more and more interesting and I can’t wait to listen to the next audiobook in this series because, did I mention the narration yet? Michael O’Shea has this voice… I’ve learned a lesson. I can’t listen to this series in front of anyone. Because I squirm. Seriously… cannot sit still. His voice, combined with Nicholas Bella’s words and I just melt… or squirm. -
Great series.

5 stars
Things are getting hotter.
It's not like Brian's life is not complicated enough, with all the souls he needs to survive, out-of-control sexual tensions, and his obligatory monthly booty call with Raphael. He discovers that there are still many things he needs to know. Raphael agrees to tell him more in exchange of some sexual demands. Sneaky bastard, right?
Yet, Raphael is not the most dangerous man here. His work for the Society brings him right to the door step of a much more dangerous demon. Catching the attention of someone hot and powerful is just another thing he needs to complete his demonic world experience, right?
The sex between Brian and Raphael in this book is very consensual. (Of course, Brian still keeps insisting that he likes pussy.) They have great chemistry together, and the sex scene is very hot. I still enjoy their banter and Brian's swearing. There are also an MF scene and a foursome spectator. They are hot too. -
As with the books I have previously read by Nicholas Bella, I thoroughly enjoyed this one! This story continues with the adventures of newly made demon Brian and his demon mate Raphael. Brian is still coming to terms with being a demon and being mated with a male demon. At times he can be a bit thick but Raphael is good for him. Their demon king has to even step in and teach Brian how to act. But Brian is learning and is making progress in his mission to keep the gate demon gate from opening. But he has more to learn about his abilities and he is going to have to depend more on Raphael. The imagery in this book is awesome. I am looking forward to the next book!

"--it just got real! " 😱
Phew! What a ride! **spoilers
In book 2 Brian, just keeps adding to his already precariously balanced plate. Wanting to keep the world safe, he agrees to be the sub for a Demon King. Doing so while still coming to terms with the fact that his mate is the eternally delicious male, Raphael.
Will Brian come to embrace his male lovers or will he continue to rebel against his inner cravings and desires??? Hmmm... Guess I'll have to continue on to book 3 to see. Loving this series so far. -
The story has veered off the romance course and has dipped into the sleazy erotica pool. Very porny with a straight hero beset on all sides by hot demons that want to plumb his plumbing, and no of course he doesn't want it as he repeatedly tells everyone even while there's a hard on tenting his pants. Gonna give the next one a try and see if it doesn't get any better.

I like this series alot. I am enjoying the story of Raphael and Brian, and I am loving the hottie demon king Adrial. This is my second favorite series by this author, I love the Odin Chronicles series but there is much more taboo content in that series, this series being slightly more traditional.

3.8 Stars
Better than the previous one but I'm getting a little tired of the "not-gay" protestation while reveling in the gay sex. Sometimes the binary of straight/gay doesn't apply, damn - just own what you like, asshole. -
Getting interesting
Adriel, Raphael, and Brian...sounds like things will be getting interesting from here on out. Hopefully he gets past his denial stage. -
So much better than the first one
The first book intrigued me, but this one pulled me in. I wonder how Raphael is going to react to Brian's deal. On to the next... -
Another incredible series from Nicholas Bella with loads of twisted plotting, evil doings and awesome sexy times!
-
Love this series
The main character is a bit vulgar and definitely in some denial, but I do love the story that’s building ...can’t wait to read more!! -
