The second hardest thing would be watching my twelve-year-old daughter fall to her knees as they lowered her mother into the ground to rest.
A heart-wrenching vision that will forever be etched in my mind.
Claire was my best friend—she had been since we were barely old enough to talk. I always knew, one day, I would marry her. I think I may have even told her that a few times while we were growing up.
Never did I think I would lose her so suddenly.
I knew at that moment…
Our life would never be the same again…

Thank you for being MY BIGGEST FAN, oh and would you like a signed copy of Ryan's Love? Just thought I would offer since you have been so kind. -
I am a huge CA Harms fan and when I was given the opportunity to read this early I was over the moon. Just by the synopsis I knew it was going to gut me and break me into a million pieces. What I wasn't expecting was to be gutted right at the prologue!!
I cried like a big baby not even 3 pages into the actual story!! Seriously why did this beautiful man have to go threw such a awful thing. Life seriously handed him a bag of poo poo. I knew I loved Ryan right from the prologue
Right off the bat we meet Ryans daughter and poor girl she is so good too her dad she tries to be the strong one but little do we know she is still not healed completely. She is so beautiful yet when you look at her you see the pain in her eyes. You can hear it in her voice.
Than there is Amber when she came in to the story it was so awesome. She was restoring and opening a bakery in town that was her grandmothers. I loved her overall character her personality was so sweet. She has a past just like everyone else but she tries her darnest to not let it effect her.
When she meets Ryan its by sheer luck and it is sorta boom!
There story is far from perfect and at times it gutted me to see what Ryan went thru especially how much he loved his wife who passed.. I cried so hard at one part in the book especially when it came to Olivia seeing her dad with another woman.
Than Poor Amber she does what was best for everyone, only she didn't realize she was what was best for Ryan and Olivia!!
Overall the story was by far my new CA Harms book it is a MUST READ!!
I can't wait to read Jacksons and Noah's stories they are gonna be fabulous BTW they are Ryan's brothers who you will meet in this book!!

Sexiest and sweetest band of brothers.
The writing seemed flaky in the beginning, which was distracting, and the story seemed a routine second-chance-at-love sorts and I was getting unsure as to carry on or not but then as I settled in, I was quite pleasantly surprised.
The mcs were both so sweet and giving that they just suck you right in into their story. Unlike as it always happens with this trope - grieving widower guy with a kid and with a certain survivor guilt, unsure whether he deserves another chance at love and life, he was not the least bitter/brooding/touchy and once he set his heart on the h, he never wavers and he was the one who goes all out to make it happen between the two of them, notwithstanding opposition from the surly teenage daughter. Usually the guy starts getting iffy and blowing all hot n cold on the h when the kid turns the screws on, but Ryan is one determined guy and not even Amber’s own misgivings deter him-at least not until she goes into a sacrificial shutdown ‘let me step outa this equation and give you guys some father-daughter space’ mode.
But all works out well and predictably but in an awesome sweet way. And I especially loved how the book had a sorta cliffy end to make way for Jackson’s story-one seriously hot rancher dude let me tell y’all. And he’s sure up next!! -
☆ I received an ARC via Enticing Journey Book PR in exchange for an honest review. Thank you! ☆
I’m a HUGE fangirl of author C.A. Harm’s writing, so when I found out that she was coming out with a new book that involved a single father and his 12-year daughter, I just knew that it was a book worth hopping into!!
After tragically losing his wife, Ryan Sawyer feels as if he can no longer love again, nor replace, the void of his wife’s presence in their young daughter’s life.
That is, until Amber Dirksen moves into town to take over her family business, that lines begin to blur and all signs of hope seem to be not so lost after all.
I really enjoyed the family dynamic of this, as it weighs a huge weight on all major protagonists, as well as, brings home components of life that are both beautiful anddevastating.
Ryan’s Love will tug at your heartstrings with its riveting and emotional tale of love, loss, family, grief, moving on, and belief that there is a light at the end of the tunnel no matter how futile you may think your predicament may be.
Definitely can't wait to get my hands on the next book, Jackson's story!! -
Review by Lisa Kane
Ryan Sawyer lost his wife; his soul mate unexpectedly 3 years ago from surgical complications. He and his daughter Olivia have struggled to put their lives back together. Olivia is now 15 and starting to show signs of typical rebellious teen age behavior. Ryan's whole world revolves around her, his family and his job as a sergeant for the sheriff's department.
I had spent a full year mourning my wife. Followed by another two years of walking around with my head hung and my world shattered.
Amber Dirksen just moved to Livingston, Montana. Her grandmother died and she is taking over her bakery. There's nothing left to keep her in Chicago. Her fiance of 4 years cheated on her and her relationship with her parents is poor at best. So she and her best friend Bailey, are starting over with a new adventure. Bailey is definitely the crazy one of the two. Along with Alena, Amber's cousin they like to stir up things for Amber.
Amber meets just about the whole Sawyer clan. There's Jackson (who Bailey is attracted to) he's quite the player; he helps run the family ranch. Then there's Noah who is also a cop, he's a bit of a gentle soul, who had his heart crushed by his former girlfriend and finally she meets Ryan when she ends up with a flat tire. Now there are some serious sparks flying between them!
Ryan finds himself making lots of trips to Heavenly Temptations, Amber's bakery. Not only are the baked goods delicious, but the owner is pretty delectable herself. Ryan is starting to feel things again; he hasn't felt alive since Claire died.
"Ryan, you deserve to be loved I would want you to find someone. The only thing I ask is that you never forget our time together. Never let go of the memories we created together as a family."
Amber is just as interested too, but she wants to tread lightly. She knows about Ryan's loss and she just got out of a relationship. She doesn't need to be anyone's rebound.
I had to finally let go of all the heartache and face the unchangeable fact that Claire was gone.
But as much as Amber and Ryan are feeling out their new situation, Olivia is not so happy about these new events. The loss of her mom is still fresh and she doesn't want to see her dad moving on with someone else. Things are about to get complicated.
This is a great start to this new series. Ryan's Love is a sweet story about finding love after loss. I usually prefer a little more angst but this is a nice book to read when you need something in between dark reads. I know Bailey and Jackson's story is next (and I think that one will have some delicious drama-she's feisty and he's a manwhore who has met his match!) I'm wondering if Alena may come to town and steal Noah's heart. We'll have to see.
"We want to share every smile and all our laughter with you. Even in the bad times, it's you we want to have helping build us back up." -
I love this author's writing and this book has to be one of my favorites.
Ryan is a single father to a teenage girl. His wife passed away several years ago and his only reason for living is Olivia and his job as a police officer. His daughter is his entire world and he knows that he will forever love his wife Claire. He is withdrawn and very sad all the time. Until a new arrival in town changes everything.
Amber is looking to start anew. She is determined to reopen her grandmother's bakery and make it successful.
What she doesn't expect is to find love in the eyes of Ryan; a man with a tortured past.
Two people meeting by chance. One new love will be born.
This book was very sweet and heart-breaking at the same time. I was in awe of Amber's selflessness and I fell in love with Ryan's kindness. He is an amazing father and so devoted to his family. In Amber, he sees what he has long lost; he sees a future, a possibility at happiness.
Will he get it or will he be forever doomed to be alone?
I adored the pace and plot. It's a story about values, about family and above all, love. This is the story of a man's second shot at happiness. This is a story about emotions. I loved it. I think you will too.

You could tell right off that Ryan's daughter Olivia is his world, he'd do anything for her, and you could tell Amber was caring, kind and patient, “baby, don’t leave. It means a lot that you cared enough to show up here for my little girl.” Ryan, he's sweet, kind, sexy, charming, charismatic. He's also not shy and proudly shows his affection, “I’m gonna kiss you now,” he assured me. “But just so you know, we have an audience. My entire family is watching.” Ryan really was swoon-worthy, “well, that looks real good, baby, but I’m not all that hungry for omelets right now. I’m craving something a little sweeter.” He bent his head and skimmed his lips over mine. “I didn’t like waking up alone. Why don’t you come back to bed with me?” Ryan's brothers can be rowdy men and I can't wait for each of them to get whipped, and led around by their balls because it's going to be interesting. Especially Jackson and Bailey I can't wait for their story it's going to.be entertaining, “I can reassure you, baby, I can go all night long, and I don’t need a little blue pill to make that possible.” I'm really excited for the next book.

=====================One of the hardest things I have ever had to do was bury my wife.
The second-hardest thing would be watching my twelve-year-old daughter fall to her knees as the preacher uttered his final words of comfort before her mother’s casket was slowly lowered into the grave.
She was the perfect girl and had every man in Livingston, Montana, mesmerized by her looks and her personality.
Sergeant Sawyer. I’d like to think Claire would be proud. I was promoted the year after she died, and it had been something I’d been hoping to achieve. Her being there to see it would have made the achievement even sweeter.
Leaving Chicago was easy. Especially after Kevin, my fiancé, decided his slutty neighbor was worth losing me over. I gave him four years of my life, and in turn his overactive sex drive picked a twenty-one-year-old floozy. He’d even had the gall to take her in our bed.
She had a gorgeous smile and kind eyes. But the idea of feeling an attraction toward a woman other than Claire made me feel guilty.
The problem is when I consider dating another woman, I feel like I’m cheating on her.
“I don’t know what I can offer you,” he confessed. “But I know I’m willing to see where this goes. It feels good being with you. It’s refreshing.”
I wondered if he truly was ready to move forward or if he was only forcing himself to.
“You took her to the lake. I overheard Uncle Jackson when I was on the phone with Gran,” she replied in a clipped tone. “Mom loved that lake, and you took that girl there. I can’t believe you would do that. It was just wrong.”
“I was perfectly happy before you decided to replace my mother with some random woman.”
Never, and I do mean never, will any woman replace your mother. She was one of a kind.”
Being with Amber felt so right, it was almost scary. In the back of my mind, my guilt about Claire sat heavy, pulling at me every chance it got.
Eric had tried more than once to come between Claire and me. Seeing him so close to Amber only fueled my already unstable mood.
Then you showed up here, and for the first time in so long, I feel like I got a part of me back. A part I thought I lost forever.”
“I can’t be your void filler, Ryan,” she whispered.
As Amber’s eyes fluttered open, she stared up at me, and something inside me changed in that moment. She was unbelievably beautiful, and any reservations lingering within me faded. I knew for sure now that Amber was my second chance.
I immediately spotted Ryan across the yard, standing next to the grill, and his bright smile captured me from across the pool of people. The only problem with that smile was that it wasn’t directed toward me but at the petite woman with auburn hair who stood next to him, hanging on his every word.
I spent the next hour watching the woman paw at Ryan. Every time she placed her hand on his arm or leaned into him while laughing at something he said, I felt more and more nauseous.
Noah shook his head. “Damn, Ryan, Amber has been here for over an hour already. You were so preoccupied with Zoey you didn’t even see her sitting less than thirty feet away from you.”
Life’s not about the money you have or the car you drive. It’s about the people you spend even the dullest moments with and the memories you create that hold you together, even when you feel like you’re crumbling inside.

Please note this review may contain spoilers.
RYAN’S LOVE is a beautiful and heartwarming story and it starts not from the prologue, but from the dedication, which serves as a reminder to live in the now, for tomorrow might not be.
Ryan has spent the past three years grieving his wife Claire’s sudden death, with their daughter and his job being the only things that have kept him going. He’s going through the motions, but he’s not really living at all and he has no desire to be with another woman, until he stumbles upon Amber kicking and cursing her flat tire. She’s a breath of fresh air in his home town of Livingston, Montana, one that fills him with desires he hasn’t felt since Claire.
Ryan: “I just want to live again, and you make me feel alive.”
I liked both Ryan and Amber and thought they were perfect for each other. There’s an eight year age gap between them, but Amber was a very mature young lady at 25 yo. Ryan lost his wife and Amber’s fiancé cheated on her, yet neither let their pasts dictate their current relationship. Not once does Amber question Ryan’s loyalty to her, and although Ryan experiences some guilt, feeling like he’s betraying his wife, he never lets that stop him from pursuing his happiness, from pursuing Amber. Both Ryan and Amber have to be mindful of his daughter, Olivia, and Amber was completely selfless when it came to putting Ryan and Olivia first, even at her own expense. She’ll clearly be a very good mother. Amber’s best friend and business partner, Bailey, is also very loyal and has a wacky sense of humour. Ryan has two brothers, Noah and Jackson, but you don’t really see too much of them. Jackson will be getting his book next, titled JACKSON’S DESTINY.
I don’t normally talk about a favourite scene, but one scene really stood out to me, so much so I could really picture the scene in my head, and that would be the fireworks scene. No, not those kind of fireworks, actual 4th of July fireworks. Separated by a street, the fireworks could not distract them after their eyes connected. You could feel the pull they had on each other; the scene was that sweet, hot and intense.
RYAN’S LOVE is told in dual POVs, with the bonus chapter being told in Olivia’s POV. It gives us a glimpse into how Jackson’s book could go, with Amber’s absent parents perhaps not being so absent anymore.

“We all have the tendency to grow into a comfortable pattern and forget what truly matters. Life’s not about the money you have or the car you drive. **Synopsis:**
Three years after the loss of his wife, Ryan is still struggling to handle life without her (she died due to complications from surgery). His 15 year old daughter is the center of his universe and he always puts her first.
Amber needs a fresh start, so she heads to Montana to run her grandmother’s bakery.
A flat tire provides the opportunity for these two to meet and Amber knows one thing for sure….
~ “Sergeant Ryan Sawyer had just made Livingston, Montana, my favorite place in the world.”
Ryan also knows one thing for sure……
~ “I still felt angry with myself for feeling even a slight attraction toward another woman.”
“The problem is when I consider dating another woman, I feel like I’m cheating on her. I vowed to love her always.”
I guess it’s up to Ryan to see if he can let go of the guilt and regret so he can open his heart to new love.
~ “It was time to let go, I knew that. But nothing about this journey would be easy.”
** The following are my thoughts about this book: **
* * The prologue was heart wrenching.
~ “One of the hardest things I have ever had to do was bury my wife. The second-hardest thing would be watching my twelve-year-old daughter fall to her knees as the preacher uttered his final words of comfort before her mother’s casket was slowly lowered into the grave.”
* * Bailey was an awesome best friend and I hope she gets a HEA with one of the other sawyer brothers.
* * I loved the father/daughter relationship. ❤️
~ “It’s not that I don’t trust you. I just worry something may happen and I won’t be there to stop it,” I assured her. “You’re growing up too fast, Liv. I don’t like that.”
“Dad, I’m not some dumb girl. Have you forgotten who I’ve had to look up to?”
* * Readers often have different views on whether or not they buy into true love with the new person or whether they feel the new person is just second best. I think if you are sensitive to that you might think Amber is second best. I didn’t feel she was second best, but if these types of lines bother you, you might have a different opinion:
~ “I’ll try to move forward, but never will I forget my love for you. You’re always in my heart.”
~ “I still felt guilty, but new possibilities excited me at the same time. I told myself every day that I would never forget Claire, but it was time for me to try to open up again.”
~ “If I could do anything to go back and change the outcome of that day, hell, baby, I would in a second. I don’t remember a time in my life that I didn’t love your mother.”
* * the beginning I was feeling the emotions, but when things started happening with Amber and Ryan it felt like the story switched to “telling” rather than feeling. Therefore, the chemistry was a bit lacking.
* * I was a bit irritated at the daughter’s reaction to Amber, but when she expressed her feelings it made more sense.
~ “I just know that when things get more serious with the two of you, Mom will then be a distant memory, and I’m having a really hard time with that. You’ll forget her, I’m forgetting her, and she’ll just be a picture on the nightstand. Just an occasional thought hidden in the back of our minds. I hate that. I can’t remember what it felt like when she brushed my hair or kissed my cheek. I hate that when things get rough, I can’t feel her arms around me or hear her telling me everything will be okay.”
I agree….it really sucks to lose a loving parent 😢 💔
* * even though it was predictable, the breakup was rooted in valid reasons. Parent’s sacrifices for their children can be quite heartbreaking at times.

**Quotes**
“Loving someone with your entire heart didn’t ensure they would always be with you.”
“Our waiting area is swarming with so much hotness right now, I feel like I have a fever,” she squealed. “Yummy cops, men in suits, and a few in cowboy hats and boots. Men, Amber.” Her eyes grew wide, and she fanned her face. “Lots of lickable men, and I feel like a kid trapped in a candy store with entirely too many flavors of jelly bellies to choose from.”
“He is ‘drop to your knees and pant from being overheated with lust’ gorgeous.”
“I love my dad so much, and he is hurting now. Please help me fix his pain.”
“What did you do?” I smiled, and she returned an even brighter one.
“I let go of the darkness.”
“We were three grown men who were stubborn as hell and always right, until it came to Mama. She ruled the house, and when she was pissed, you listened.” -
I had the privilege of reading RYAN'S LOVE during its VERY EARLY stages and ohmygosh! This is an emotional and beautiful romance novel you MUST pick up once it releases.
Ryan is beyond swoon-worthy and I absolutely loved reading his story. His interactions with his teen daughter had me giggling more often than not, especially when Olivia called him out on silly things that he did - like losing his keys... constantly. CA Harms developed their banter very naturally. It was all realistically written. That said, my heart broke for them at times, too. They had both been through a lot of heartache and I, as a reader, needed them to be fully happy once again...
Enter Amber.
New to town, Amber didn't really know a lot of people. She was taking over her late grandmother's famous bakery, and little did she know, this move would change her life in more ways than one.
Enter Ryan.
Her and Ryan's relationship is one I will always cherish. Heck, they've made my list of favorite book couples! I felt their chemistry. Their relationship wasn't rushed, nor did I feel like it was dragging along either. CA Harms developed it at a wonderful pace, VERY WELL WRITTEN with a smooth flow. Things moved quickly enough to keep my interest intact, yet not too fast for me to consider this insta-love. I also really appreciated that Amber minded the fact that Ryan was a widow with a daughter, and never once did she disrespect Claire's memory. It only reinforced what a wonderful character she was.
The secondary characters in this book (Amber's bff and Ryan's brothers) were also another plus for me. They made the general story line feel whole and gave me something to look forward to in the upcoming books.
If you're a fan of emotional romance novels, you NEED to grab this book. RYAN'S LOVE is another must read from CA Harms! 5 Stars!
***A full review will be posted upon the book's release. -
Satisfying and entertaining read but didn't hold my attention enough to be a great read. The story centers on Ryan Sawyer, a cop, in small town Montana. When he runs into newly moved to town and bakery owner, Amber Dirksen sparks ignite. It has been years since Ryan's wife died. Years since he felt something.
But there is a major road block, Ryan's teen daughter, Olivia. She was distraught when her more died, worse watching her casket be lowered to ground. Now she is a teen fearful of losing who she has left, her dad. Ryan risks losing one or the other. The question becomes is there a way he can have both?
I liked the books. I really like CA Harms writing style. I just am not a fan of insta-love and I really like a great plot twist or at least a good one. I like a love to hate antagonist and Olivia just wasn't enough for me. Taste. I am sure pure romance readers will enjoy this. -
Originally, I never made it past this book, but a friend recently recommended the last book (Noah’s), so I decided to just reread/read Ryan and Jackson’s. They’re all free to read with KU and quick reads.
It takes a bit to get going (15% to meet) and was entertaining enough (in an easy, fluffy, romance with loads of secondary characters way), but it’s not angsty or very dramatic.
Bottom Line- This is pretty much a fluffy bunny cowboy/cop romance. The feels are low, the sugar level is high… the mc’s are understanding and considerate generating little to no conflict. There’re cutesy cliché moments like the H walking in on the h unknowingly dirty dancing with her fuzzy slippers on… and some bizarro moments like moaning and sucking her fingers in front of the teen daughter.
*****Original review****
Short, second chance romance for a windowed single dad. This is the first book in the Sawyer Brothers series they're all free on KU. Ryan Sawyer lost his childhood sweetheart wife suddenly three years earlier, and hasn’t thought about moving on until he catches a glimpse of the new girl in town. Amber leaves Chicago after catching her cheating fiancé to reopen her grandma’s bakery.
The two are instantly pulled towards each other; the romance is sweet. It takes a bit to get going, but also has an instant-love-ish vibe to it. Although the hero hasn't moved on, it's not the typical grumpy widower shoving the h away. The main drama comes from Ryan’s teenager daughter struggling to deal with her mom being replaced.
Overall, good, quick read. No OW drama, safe, good supporting characters that have their own books in the series. -
This was a pretty good read. Ryan Sawyer, Sheriff of the quiet Montana town of Livingston, lost his wife three years ago and is raising is daughter Olivia on his own. He is no longer the man he was prior to the death of his wife all that changes when Amber Dirksen comes to town. Amber left
Chicago after catching her fiance in the arms of another woman she grew up in Chicago with a mother who rarely paid attention to her and a father who lived in New York and bought her love She has moved to Livingston to take over the local Bakery that was once owned by her recently deceased grandmother. But Amber is not the only new resident, she has brought along with her Bailey her best friend. The attraction between Ryan and Amber is hot but Ryan's daughter is still struggling with the death of her mother. I also liked Ryan's family and how they helped him and his daughter. These two have to tread lightly even though Ryan loved his wife he knows that she wouldn't want him to be alone through life. This was my first time reading this author this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. -

**JOSIE'S 4.5 STAR REVIEW**
If you have read any of C.A. Harms books then you know this author is going to gut you and make you fall in love. She has managed to do it again! The prologue to Ryan’s love is so heart wrenching that it tore me up. This book exceeded my expectations and I was completely captivated. The author tells the story in alternating POV’s which helps in understanding the characters on such a deeper level. This book is one that is filled with so much promise, hope, turmoil, desire and letting go.
Ryan lost the love of his life 3 years ago. He has always known that Claire was meant for him at an early age but losing her so young devastated him. Left to raise their 12 year old daughter was hard for him. When his eyes meet Amber a new comer to Livingston Montana he is filled with emotions he hasn’t felt since his wife’s passing.
Amber and her best friend Bailey have relocated to Livingston Montana. After her grandmothers passing she purchases the bakery “Heavenly Temptations” and apartment above the bakery. She is ready to start a new life. The relationship between Amber and her girls is refreshing, supportive and downright hilarious. I laughed so many times because they were just that funny. Sparks fly when Amber lays yes on Ryan.
Ryan was so conflicted about his feelings, and having anything to do with another woman, he loved Claire with all his heart, and just the thought of being with any other woman made him feel guilty. It was hard to watch Ryan finally admitting to move and go forward with his life because you knew he loved his wife. Amber does not want to a stepping stone in Ryan’s need to get over his wife. She is hesitant to let him into her heart.
It was such as delight to watch Ryan and Amber build a relationship that was not rushed and over time developed into a strong bond. One filled of love and peace. When Ryan and Amber really start to develop a strong bond Ryan’s daughter has other ideas. The thought of Ryan moving on causes her to lash out more, rebel and causes Amber to rethink their relationship. Their journey is about acceptance and that it is ok to move on in life while never forgetting the past. This story was sweet, refreshing and not filled with unnecessary angst or drama. The next up in this series is Jackson and Bailey’s story and the bonus chapter at the end of Ryan’s Love guarantees it is going be get even more interesting with the Sawyer brothers -

Blurb:One of the hardest things I have ever had to do was bury my wife.
Review:
This book opens with a tragedy. Then you jump to three years later. Ryan doesn’t want to date or anything like that. He has a great support system in his family.
Amber inherits a bakery from her grandmother, and her friend Bailey moves with her to help run it.
When these two meet it is Ryan’s second chance at love. My heart broke for Olivia. She just missed her mom. I laughed out loud at times, and my eyes watered at times. I watched Olivia grow after being a bit of a brat. She just didn’t want to forget her mom. The supporting players were great as well. The flirty Noah Sawyer and the player Jackson Sawyer. Bailey was a great friend to Amber and was there when she needed her. I am excited to read the rest of this series.

Three years ago, Ryan and his then twelve-year-old daughter Olivia buried Claire, Ryan's wife and Olivia's mother, after she died suddenly and unexpectedly. To say that Ryan effectively shut down and quit living after Claire's death would be an accurate assessment. It isn't that he doesn't think he can love again or even doesn't necessarily want to not love again; it's more that he hasn't thought about it ... period.
Until Amber shows up.
Looking for a change, Amber has come to Ryan's sleepy Montana town to take over her grandmother's bakery. In tow is her BFF Bailey, and the two revamp and reopen the bakery. When Amber and Ryan meet, there is an immediate, intense connection between the two, which confuses the mess out of Ryan.
As C A. Harms flips back and forth between her hero and heroine, you see both perspectives of this budding romance. You see Ryan's reluctance and fears, and you see how these affect Amber. No romance happens within a vacuum, as Harms demonstrates between Ryan and Amber. For one thing, there is Olivia. Ryan's concerns about how his daughter will react are well founded, but what can he do? What should he do? How much of his personal happiness needs to be set aside for Olivia?
As the first in a trilogy about Ryan and his two brothers, you meet the Sawyer boys, and you also meet potential love interests for the other two. Harms writes Ryan and Amber's story in an easy-going, smooth way, maintaining a steady pace and refraining, for the most part, from the familiar. The only part that feels strange (if not bizarre) is the epilogue, which comes across as disjointed in its attempt to pique your curiosity about the next installment.
There are some hot sexy times, faithful readers, although perhaps not enough (I'm a big fat perv). Harms includes enough details to make you squeeze your thighs together, and she also uses these scenes to tell you more about the characters.
So come meet Ryan and Amber, and get ready for more Sawyer brothers.

RYAN'S LOVE is a sweetly sexy romance with a bit of humor thrown in. The story starts of with a heart wrenching loss for Ryan and his daughter but quickly skips to the present where Ryan and Amber cross paths. Ryan is trying to get to the point where he doesn't feel guilty for needing to move forward while still valuing the love that he had for his wife and mother of his daughter. Having Ryan's struggle laid out so realistically was wonderful. It wasn't over dramatized or swept over made the story relatable. A single father raising a daughter and struggling with their changing relationship as his daughter is struggling through her own issues growing into a young woman was well done. Olivia reacted exactly the way I would have expected a girl who had suffered the loss of her mother and has a close relationship with her father would react. Ryan loved his daughter, knew that they had a good relationship, but he still wanted to tread carefully when it came to bringing another woman into their lives.
Amber is a fun and likable character. She is looking to make a life for herself outside of the high stress and fast paced life of a large city. Moving to Montana and re-opening her grandmother's bakery provides her with the opportunity to settle in a small town and hopefully become part of the community. Her instant and intense attraction to Ryan provides plenty of entertainment and a bit of comic relief in the story. Amber's relationship that eventually develops with Ryan, Olivia, and the rest of Ryan's family and community is enjoyable to see develop.
All in all RYAN'S LOVE is a sweet and quick contemporary romance with a simple and enjoyable story. RYAN'S LOVE is a nice break from the billionaire and over the top erotic romances.

I have to start off by thanking the author and the tour host for allowing my request to go through and for me to read this. I don't often read blog tour hosts books, I just tend to promote them as I am not sure I can schedule them into my reading matter, but this one I just had to squeeze in as I was attracted to the opening words. I am a sucker for a sad story.
Ryan is left with his twelve year old daughter to bring up. His wife, the love of his life, his forever love and soul mate had died tragically. A gallbladder operation that left fatal complications.
He mourns his wife along with his daughter.
Olivia his daughter and him have a GREAT relationship and there are some really crazy fun moments when they are "messing around" and teasing, but there is equally some proper Father and daughter chats that are there, especially the teenage rebellious times.
I thought Ryan a great fantastic Father, he did his job well.
Amber moves into town, she takes over her Grandmother's bakery.
When Amber meets Ryan, just watch out that spark that ignites from the pages doesn't burn your fingers as you turn the pages, WOW, instant........sex appeal.
This story shows, that you can find love after loss, eventhough you may not feel that possible.
When Ryan's world collapsed at the loss of his beautiful wife, leaving him with their daughter, who knew what life would have in store for him and his daughter.
Many a tear can be shed, many a lump and hard swallow in your throat and many a 'pass me the tissue' moments.
I loved this style of writing and I do believe this is the first book I have ever read by this author. -

This story will pull at your heartstrings.
From the prologue of this story, you know you are in for a ride of emotions. Ryan is devastated after losing his wife Claire so suddenly and left with raising their young daughter, Olivia alone.
"'I miss her already' Olivia said, her soft voice cracking. Tears filled my eyes, and I could barely see her through them. God, her words weren't enough for what I was feeling. I felt like I was trying to survive without air to breathe."
Flash forward 3 years and Ryan and teenage daughter Olivia are surviving a life without the woman that brought such happiness and completion to their family. Ryan has a chance encounter with Amber, the business owner that moves into town, and suddenly Ryan is feeling emotions for a woman that he hasn't felt in years, but is still riddled with guilt at the possibility of moving on. His family, minus his daughter is very supportive and encourages Ryan in moving on knowing this is what his late wife would want.
"'I'll live by your words" I whispered. 'I'll try to move forward, but never will I forget my love for you. You're always in my heart.'"
The love story that follows is so sweet and beautiful. The way Ryan and Amber both deal with not only their relationship but also the feelings of Olivia brought tears to my eyes. I fell in love with all three and I'm excited to read the rest of this series. -
Ryan Sawyer was a lonely single father. He has been raising his teenage daughter alone since the death of his wife, three years before. Amber just recently found her fiance with another woman and she broke it off. She had the chance to take over her deceased grandmothers bakery in Montana so she picked up and moved to Montana. Her and her friend, Bailey were painting and getting the bakery ready for the opening. Amber made a run to the store for supplies and on the way back got a flat tire. To handsome policemen offered to fix it for her. She was so mesmerized by Ryan's eyes she couldn't speak. She is the first woman he has responded to in three years. He goes into the bakery and jokingly asks her out. He takes her on a picnic and she is thrown at how comfortable they are with each other. How will his daughter, Oliva feel about that. This is a very sweet love story .It does have its ups and downs. This book does contain profanity and sex scenes so it isn't for everyone. You will love this book.

Ryan's Love was the first book in the Sawyer Brothers Series. If you love a story about a sexy broody cowboy that has a heart of gold then this book is for you! I fell in love with Ryan and Amber both in this book. There love story was one to hold dear to your hearts and the tragedy that Ryan had to endure will forever leave a mark on my heart.
Through tragedy and broken hearts can these 2 find love again? Or is life to complicated for both of them to make things work, or better yet the baggage they both hold in there hearts to much to depart with?
I would give this book a 4 stars and would definitely recommend to others. I have read many of books by C.A. Harms and she has never failed me yet with her writing and sexy cowboys and she hit this one on the mark also.
I look forward to much more in the future from this author! -
Well, I couldn't sleep so I picked up this book thinking a few chapters might relax me and then I could sleep.. well, three hours later after I devoured the entire book I was able to fall asleep.. Wow.. this was a great book! I loved it and would highly recommend it!
Ryan's life is changed forever when his wife, Claire passes away suddenly, leaving him the single father of a pre-teen. He and Olivia have been doing fine and are happy just the two of them...
Until a feisty little thing rolls into town and makes him rethink the rest of his life. Will Ryan find love again or was Claire Ryan's only chance at love?! -
Fast easy read. A little emotional drama with the H's child in dealing with grief and letting go of her mother so she and her Dad (H) can move on to find happiness in life. The drama is centered around H meets h a few years after his wife dies and his daughter has problems with it (+ she's 15 and seeing a 17 year old boy - H has a hard time with his little girl dating.) 3 stars.

So excited to read this book! I have read EVERY book by C.A. Harms and I know this one will be just as amazing as all the others!!

I was nervous jumping into this story....for me it's hit or miss when on of the main characters has lost "the love of their life".
Ryan lost his wife unexpectedly 3 years ago, leaving him a single dad to his daughter Olivia. Luckily he has a wonderful support system with his family. Amber needs a change after being cheated on and reopening her grandmother's bakery in a town she has never been to seems like a place to start. She brings along her best friend....
I liked both of these characters, but I have to say I enjoyed the way Olivia was written. Her reactions were true to what I expect a well raised teenage girl to be.
I look forward to reading more of the brothers. -
This series has been in my TBR for years and I’m so glad I’ve got round to reading it. I love stories set in a small town especially if it’s then a family and that’s definitely what Harms delivers here. My absolute highlight was the drama between Ryan and Olivia as her dad starts to date Amber. Usually the children are sickly sweet and immediately love the new partner when that isn’t usually typical or believable. Olivia’s rebellion was great to read and a unique plot line to case the hero and heroine drama. Terrific read.
