S.M Donaldson has done it again......
Marco's boys are all amazing men *fanning face* I loved Letting Lox In and knew from the moment I finished that book that this series was going to be one of my favourite yet.
Let me tell you Huck does not disappoint. I couldnt put this book down and from start to finish it had me gripped! Huck is the brooding quiet twin and doesnt really voice his thoughts so it was nice to get a glimpse from his POV.
Its takes off from where Sly's story finishes and you get introduced to Detective Harmon's daughter Chelsea.... lets be honest we all thought in the first 2 books that Huck was going to get together with Marco's daughter Liz but.... thats not the case.
Huck is protective by nature and he doesnt fail to show that in this book *swoon*. I feel so sorry for Chelsea and what she has to go through in this book, her story is kind of inspiring what she does in order to look after her mom, I am super glad that she has a man like Huck. On paper this couple wouldnt match but they do make the perfect balance.
All of the family from the previous 2 books are present in this and I really enjoyed seeing how far all of them had come. I dont know whether there will be anymore from this series but I am seriously keeping my fingers crossed that this isnt the last of them!!!! A few characters are introduced and some are brought back into the story so I am hoping that this carries on with them and we get to see Lox, Sly and Huck within those.
If you havent read about any of Marco's boys, seriously what are you waiting for? They are my must read for 2015!!! Definatly a series that if you have already read that you can revisit and never be bored of!!
Well Done S.M Donaldson, it was a winner!!! -
Huck Webb is the serious bad boy manwhore we’ve loved from the beginning of this series. At least I have anyway. He once loved a girl, his first, but she left after high school and never looked back. He stuck with his random girls through the years and never got attached to anyone. The girl is back now, and Huck is trying to fight his feelings, but he’d have better luck fighting in the ring.
Chelsea Harmon was always the good girl, but she’s found herself in a bad situation in a relationship and she knows it’s wrong. When her dad calls to tell her that her mother is sick and he needs her help, she doesn’t hesitate. Being home is hard, her ex won’t leave her alone, and she finds herself being a not-so-good-girl again to help pay her mom’s bills. And she keeps running into Huck…her first everything.
Huck isn’t happy with the way Chelsea is handling her life these days but she convinces him she has no other choice and it’s only for now. She left home originally to get away years ago, now she finds herself running from her past again. Will it catch up to her? Can Huck save her?
I cannot stress how much I absolutely LOVE this series! It just keeps getting better and better. Love, loss, passion, family…these books cover it all, including real life issues. 1-click them all, you’ll fall in love! -
I received an ARC copy of this book from the author in return for my honest review, and that is just what you will get. I do have to warn that my review will be very vague when it comes to the plot and details as I hate teasers and I am very limited to what I am able to say with out spoiling this books as well as all the previous books for you!
SM Donaldson is by far one of my favorite authors. She continues to amaze me around every corner. Just when I don't think she can write anything better, she blows my mind and turns my world upside down. That is just what she has done with this series, Marco's MMA Boys! I have loved each and every book so far. After every book I think "There is no way that any of the other books after can even compare.." and then she makes me fall even harder in love with the next book.
Holding Huck' Heart is book #3 in the series (Letting Lox In- Book #1 and In Sly's Eye'e- Book #2). In the series you meet a rag tag team of young MMA fighters who thru it all have become the family that none of them have separately ever known. Each book builds off the last, so you will want to read them all in order to appreciate the true genius behind the plot. Although, each book is about different characters and is told in their alternating POV, you still get to see the characters in the pervious books grow as well as meet new ones all along the way.
Huck was honestly not one of my favorite characters in the series. I was nervous to learn more about him, not sure if I would like what I read. Wow, I was wrong. Ms. Donaldson is a very sneaky woman and I love it! I really thought that I had all the couples and general plots figured out for the series. I am generally pretty good at it, but she really threw me thru a loop with this one. Huck was not at all what I expected! Don't get me wrong. He is very much the cocky butt that he is portrayed in the other books, but there is so much more to him. He might be the most complex character in the series yet. The woman that I personally thought he would find a soul mate in, was nothing that I expected at all. Although she holds a large role in this book, it's not in the way I had envisioned. As for the woman he falls for, I would have never guessed. Not only was she not who I would have matched him with, but she is not at all the person I thought she would be. She is amazing and quickly became my favorite female character in the story this far.
As for the plot as a whole, it is wonderful. You get a insight in so many of the characters lives, as well as watch Huck's relationship grow. As with all the books before, it truly has everything you look for in a great book. There is excitement, adrenaline, secrets, heartache, fear, fighting, love, lust, compassion, family/ community, struggles, dark pasts with personal demons and you can't forget smoking hot MMA fighters! When I finished the book, my heart was swollen with love and ached to read more about this amazing set of personalities.
SM Donaldson has really outdone herself with this knockout gang of characters! If you have not read any of the Marco's MMA Boys books, I suggest that you one-click them today and pre-order Holding Huck's Heart asap. This series truly is an amazing and fun read that will keep you coming back for more! -
Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆
Freedom is not always what you dream it will be! In S. M. Donaldson’s next book in her series, Marco’s MMA Boys, she unveils Huck and Chelsea’s story. Holding Huck’s Heart is moving and at times heartbreaking as we delve into the lives of not only MMA fighters but also those individuals that belong to the men in this tough sport. This author is not afraid to expose taboo subjects and the way they are often looked at through our society’s eyes, off-limits and distasteful. Strippers that work to pay the bills, people with different sexual orientation and abusive relationships are just a few of the areas that are explored in this insightful novel. Ms. Donaldson holds true to her HEA ending while opening up the endless possibilities of life.
She was his tutor in high school and he fell for her hard, but she left and didn’t look back! But she has returned to help dad take care of her mom. Why is she working at that strip joint? Huck feels betrayed, yet at the same time he still feels something for her. So many things are happening all at once! Secrets are being uncovered that may tear his world a part or maybe make it stronger. Can he take a chance?
Her lover/boss had made promises, promises that he had not kept. When Chelsea's family needs her to return home and help take care of her sick mother, it’s a no brainer. She packs up and says good bye but will her past let her leave it behind. When she runs into Huck at the hospital where she is working, all the old feelings are still there for him. Is there a chance for them to have a future? Life has never been easy, so when the past comes back and demands she let it back in, what is she to do?
Something sinister is lurking, waiting to pounce! Will they survive it?

5 Stars!
With each book in this series, they continue to get better. While this is a standalone, I recommend reading in order for maximum enjoyment. If you have been following this series then you have been patiently waiting for this book. Huck stole the show and stole my heart.
I loved this book... tons! I just knew Huck was going to give us a good one and he did. The angst. The drama. The suspense. The steam. Oh this book had it all. From the beginning, I was captivated and devoured this book at one time. It was sexy, edgy, intense, and passionate.
This is Huck and Chelsea's story. Chelsea has left a failed relationship and is coming home to care for her sick mother. She is also going to face her past. Huck once loved a girl until she left, never looking back. Now she is back but trouble has followed. Can he save the girl and heal his broken heart?
Oh Huck... the manwhore who seemed so untamable! How the mighty have finally fallen. It was fun and bittersweet to watch him get all twisted up in Chelsea. I was rooting for him and totally felt for him at times. But underneath all that cocky attitude was a sweet and gentle soul.
I also liked Chelsea. Some of her actions were iffy but I kept reminding myself she was young and dumb. I also saw what Huck fell in love with so she won me over. She was sweet, kind, caring, and compassionate. She had a big heart and I totally admired her strength.
I highly recommend this book!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, pain, anger, secrets, crazy ex, abuse, grief, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Letting Lox In (Marco's MMA Boys #1)
In Sly's Eyes (Marco's MMA Boys, #2)
This is Chelsea and Huck’s story. Chelsea and Huck knew each other back in high school. She was his tutor until they became friends and each other’s first. But Chelsea left town to not return for years. Chelsea had to leave town to escape the pressure she always felt from her father. Now years later she is in a relationship with a person she thought she knew but finds out was lying to her for years. A call from her family comes at the right time. They need her to come home as her mother is sick. Now she is back in town and trying to make amends with her father and take care of her mother. She has to find jobs to help pay the bills. She ends up at a club. Huck finds her there and is furious that she is working there. He tries to protect her even though she pushes him away. Can he prove he can protect her and they can be friends again even if in his heart he knows he wants more from her? When her past comes for her will he fight for her or will he let her go? Will she want Huck to fight for her? Or will she want to go back to her old life?
I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book. -
ARC received in exchange of an honest review.
I give this book 5 stars.
It's by far my favorite book in the serie, because it isn't what you thought it would be when you read the two previous book.
In this book S. M. Donaldson put a really nice twist that let you with your mouth open, at least I wasn't expecting that.
When you read book two you think that you already know what would happen in book 3... but I tell you, you are so wrong.
Huck is a big sweet teddy bear who happens to be a MMA fighter, his heart is as big as his body. He is strong and loyal to his family and friend. So when you need him he will be there no matter what.
Chelsea is a sweet girl who wants real things and no more lies, after all the time she wasted in an affair with her boss she need and start. When her father calls her to go home after 6 years she will be face to face with her high school secret love.
You cant miss this book... it's awesome, and after you finished you will died to read the next book.
Suzanne I love all yours book!! -
3.5 stars
This is the 3rd book of this series and is Huck's story. He's Sly's twin and a MMA fighter as well and is the quieter and less trusting of the group. When he runs into Chelsea, his crush and first love from high school, he's shaken up. Huck can't seem to stop thinking about her and that's not normal. He's the love em and leave em type and never thinks about a girl twice.
Chelsea has wasted the last six years of her life on Pavel, her boss who she learns has lied about divorcing his wife and making a life with her. When Chelsea's dad calls asking for her help and informs Chelsea that her mom has cancer, it's the perfect time to leave and start over. Running into Huck opens old feelings and causes her to realize just how much of life she's missed out on. She and Huck still have that spark and possibly have a shot at starting something new, but first she'll have to convince Pavel to leave her alone.
This is a fast read. Huck is a sweetheart and it was nice to see Sly and Lox again with their girls as well as the other characters from the first two books. -

This series just keeps on getting better and better!!!
I have to keep this short and sweet because to be honest I think if I start I don’t think I will be able to stop and I really, really want you to read Huck and Chelsea’s story.
Huck has had more women that most guys have had hot dinners but that is the way he likes it. But put the one that got away in front of him again and he is definitely winded and all without a punch having been thrown.
Chelsea is back to help care for her mom, she never thought or perhaps she just didn’t want to consider that she would ever face Huck again, the boy (now man) that meant everything to her and still does.
But with a loose cannon ex to deal with, dealing with Huck may just be taking on more than she can handle at the minute. So she tries to plicate him when he confronts her about her activities.
But will he accept her explanation? Will he be able to save her not only from her demons but herself? -
Huck is something else. I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review and I have to say I think I liked it the most out of all three.
Huck and Liz are finally seeing each other in a different light and a friendship blooms that no one saw coming. When they start sharing secrets with each other, things get a little complicated but hey thats what family is for.
Chelsea has been living with her poor decisions for years. When it finally slaps her in the face, she knows she has to make changes and moving back home to help with her mother is a start. What she doesn't expect is to run into Huck again after so many years.
Getting together seems to be an easy thing until Huck and Chelseas past rear their heads. It's quite the book and I insanely enjoyed it. -
Wow, these books just seem to get better and better, and this is my favourite one yet. Even though I wasn't expecting Huck to end up with Chelsea, but I'm glad he did as she was perfect for him, and they were perfect together. And with a storyline that had heat, sweetness, drama, emotion and some moments of fun I was easily hooked and it honestly stayed that way throughout; and I'm really looking forward to reading more from this series in the future.
Would definitely recommend. -
I just can't get enough of this series.
I loved this book. I love getting to know Huck and Chelsea more. This one has some more twits and turns that I didn't see coming and some that I expected.
This book can be a stand alone but I don't know how you wouldn't want to read the 2 previous books and the one that follows it. I can't get enough of these mma boys and their women. I love how they are mocho men but they are also nothing but marshmallows. -
Amazing story! I enjoyed the roller-coaster ups and downs that was in this book about Huck and Chelsea. The drama and worry that was involved kept me on the edge of my seat. Everyone deserves a happy ending.
-
I love Huck. Hes the silent and intense guy. Chelsea is different from the other girls but not in a bad way. It was really good.
-
I loved this book. 5 MMA Stars!
This is book 3 in Marco's MMA Boys series. It can be read as a standalone, but I have enjoyed reading about all of the boys.
Huck has become my favorite of the MMA Boys. I thought his twin brother Sly was my favorite but I have changed my mind.
I loved getting to know more about Huck and Chelsea.
Huck has been keeping secrets from everyone, and those secrets come out. Some he kept for friends and those he cares about, some he keeps until he has proof before saying anything.
Chelsea is down on herself, she was living the life in Miami but is now back home, helping take care of her mom. He ex, who is a slime ball is stalking her, things go crazy for her for a bit.
Huck and Chelsea had a relationship kind of in high school but things happened and she took off? The chemistry between these two is intense.
Will they both be able to move on and be together or will the things from the past keep them apart. Is Huck ready to be with one person.
I look forward to reading the next book in this series! -
AHHH HUCK
Ahh Huck. He comes across as the hard one but he's just been waiting for her to come back into his life.
She's made a mess of things in her life and has paid hard for them. Now he's back in her life and she wants him there fir good -
A cute finish to these characters’ stories in this fighters trilogy!
