Things aren't as peaceful as they seem to be, however, as an incidental run-down of a criminal summoner reveals a new, troubling development in the magic that calls specters and binds them to this world. Storm clouds gather on the horizon, both in the literal and metaphorical senses. With the sudden, brutal killings of AEGIS personnel and a mysterious, powerful mage that has taken a personal interest in Karin, peace may become a thing of the past.
DIMENSION FRACTURE continues the exciting story of Karin and Misaki and new allies as they face off against a formidable new enemy and an unsure future. With a deep darkness closing in around them, Karin and Misaki must rely upon each other to witness the coming dawn...
The dawn of a new astral age.

Book 2 of 5. I still liked it, but there was some parts that I didn't love as much as book 1. No biggie really I have a feeling this series is going to turn into a space opera format. Where the protagonists get more badass but so do the bad guys. We'll see. The action once it hits (2 big scenes) is well done and pretty wicked. Will be interesting to see how Karin's 'condition' sorts itself out in book 3.

Ok. Corinn Heathers is now one of my favourite authors right there with Ilona Andrews, John Conroe and Elliott Kay. The first book was so much fun, and now the second one is a wonderful work. We have a Misaki's pov and it's fun to see the world with her eyes. I can't wait for the next book, the author let a lot of room for growth. Thanks, miss Heathers.

Kitsune and the magical girls who love them! Men in Black! Women in Black! Mystery! Demons! Magic Swords! What doesn't this book have?!

Little bit less interesting than the first one, but no sister issues, so same rating

I’m not sure if it was the novelty wearing off, or a story that didn’t seem to flow as well, but this didn’t ‘grab’ me like the first book.
I still enjoyed the book and will read the next one in the series but there were a couple of things that have affected my rating.
Part of the reason I enjoyed the first book was the interaction between Misaki and Karin, but this is missing from a big part of this book. Also, it’s probably my own failing, but I found I finished the book without really understanding what had happened, the actions of the mysterious Mage, the constant attacks by the ‘Demons’, why AEGIS just walked away etc. I assume this will be explained in the next book, but I felt like I hadn’t moved on by the end of the book. -
I love this series, very well written and developed.
