Reunited: A Cybil Lewis SF Mystery Reviews

Great short story with a strong heroine, set in a unique sci-fi world. I would love to know more about Cybil and the world she lives in. The story was smart and fast-paced with some well thought out action scenes. My only complaint is that I wanted more, and that's not really a complaint. Definitely a book to read if you have a few extra minutes, and want to read something truly original.

A dark and exciting story starring Cybil Lewis, private eye in a richly-developed science fiction world. This short story is a good introduction to the longer novels featuring Cybil.

I enjoy stories with strong female leads. The awesome fight scene within the first few pages jolts the reader into this strange, new world. Even though this is the 4th book in the series, I felt I needed more definitions of the weapons and an in-depth picture of the surroundings. I was caught off-guard by some the terms the author used.
Author Givens Kurtz keeps the reader captivated throughout the story with gems like, “There are so many dead dozens that we’re using open cargo trucks as mass gravesites. The pits are crawlin’ with body snatchers, raiders, and the freakin’ hungry. Stay in the light. Though that alone won’t save you.” You get sucked into this story like a CSI investigator.
“My rabid curiosity was about to be fed. But did I still want it?” Yes! I want it! I want to know more about Cybil Lewis and I want to go along with her on her next adventure.
Readers who love science fiction (with amazing female leads) will enjoy the Cybil Lewis series. A wonderful short read! -
This was a short, interesting, and dark piece. I haven't read the rest of the series, but what I saw of the world was fantastic. I also love the idea of the sci-fi PI. A very good story.
I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
