For boys and girls who love Minecraft, a graphic novel adventure from a New York Times bestselling author that uses over 750 images to transport young readers into the world of the game they love most.

Go with young hero Phoenix as she seeks the enchanted golden apple to save her brother

Phoenix longs to see the world outside of her village. One day, she risks a trip over the town’s wall to see the dark forest. Her quick adventure releases a monster that turns her brother into a zombie! It’s up to Phoenix to save him by leaving her village and finding the enchanted golden apple.

This graphic novel for kids is followed by other Minecraft graphic novels, including Revenge of the Zombie Monks, Saving Xenos, Chasing Herobrine, The Ender Eye Prophecy, and Battle for the Dragon’s Temple. They are easy graphic novels and are sure to be enjoyed by all who love Minecraft and stories filled with adventure, courage, and action.

This adventure series is created especially for readers who love the fight of good vs. evil, magical academies like Hogwarts in the Harry Potter saga, and games like Minecraft, Terraria, and Pokemon GO. While not every title we publish becomes a New York Times bestseller or a national bestseller, we are committed to books on subjects that are sometimes overlooked and to authors whose work might not otherwise find a home.

Quest for the Golden Apple (An Unofficial Graphic Novel for Minecrafters, #1) Reviews

If you like Minecraft or quests then you will enjoy this book. I have several friends who are HUGE followers of everything MC; and they really liked this book. Truth be told it is the 'social science' part of me that made me want to read this book. Always amazed when something breaks down the door of pop culture so thoroughly!

    loved this book

I enjoyed this book because I love Minecraft!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also enjoyed this book because I liked the part when Phoenix and T.H. had a golden apple and a potion of weakness and cured Phoenix's brother, Zander. Phoenix and T.H. got the weakness potion from a witch and the golden apple from the golden apple orchard at the monastery.

I would give this book ten stars if I could. There was a talking dog in this book, which was one of my favorite characters. His real name is Alistair, but Phoenix calls him Wolfie. Phoenix is looking for a golden apple and weakness potion. There is an evil witch and three creepers, which the witch is trying to make explode. The creepers are her henchman. There is one skinny one, one short fat one and one normal creeper. Phoenix is looking for stuff because her brother got turned into a zombie villager and she needs those things to turn him back into a normal villager. She also meets this a hermit who becomes her new friend like Wolfie. - Jack, age 10

I picked this up for two reasons. 1) My students are crazy about Minecraft. 2) I needed a book that started with Q for my alphabet challenge.

Now...I know I'm not the intended audience. And I'm sure if I had a little more knowledge about Minecraft and how the game works I would have enjoyed this a bit more.

But oofta. It seems so poorly written, even for a kids book. The humor isn't funny, the "action" is exciting, and the villains aren't scary. The block-like illustrations (I know, I know...that's how the game is) are a bit boring...but quite honestly, probably one of the best parts.

Read begrudgingly for book club. It picks up a little at the end, and some of the humor with the hermit and the witch remind me of Peasant's Quest on Homestar Runner. I had a hard time looking at the art though.

Es un cómic. Lectura rapidísima. Mala traducción en algunas viñetas.

  • Jen

Meh. This reads like a kid wrote it and the pictures are hard to follow. The ending is not very satisfying, I guess it is a set up for sequels.

  • Melody Wang

  • Oscar

I read the Russian version and I had trouble understanding most of it. The book was good, but I didn't like it.
