2nd book in the Eva Series....
Eva and her friends drive across the country to find refuge with Wyatt's older brother Elliot. Wyatt has warned them his brother can be a little crazy but how crazy he has become they soon find out. However to make it to his house they must get through masses of zombies, obstacles and dangers.
They try and stop and help other people BUT all hell breaks loose when they do. And they finally realize they need to put their own survival before anyone else's. It's not just zombies they have to worry about now it's humans too.
When they finally reach crazy Elliots house he tells them the world is gone and everyone is dead. He claims terrorists co-ordinated massive attacks on every major city. (Let loose a major deadly airborne virus)
They haven't heard any news yet so they believe him.
Well how crazy is Elliot? Is the group safe at his house? Are they the only left survivors left in the world?

"If you're going through hell, I thought, remembering the Winston Churchill quote.
Keep going."
Can you believe that there's a second book in a series that doesn't have the famous "middle-book-syndrome"?This one was sooo much better than the first one.It was more interesting,action-packed,with so many cool twists and romantic moments.I really enjoyed reading this.Eva is a really kick-ass girl+her romance with Wyatt is so great. That ending, tho.Leaves you craving for more.

4.5 stars. This was an amazing second book, I am truly sad that this series never got a paperback edition. I would really, really love to add these to my bookshelves and be able to read them whenever I want.
This one starts immediately where we left off. In other words, the end of the first day, the start of the second day. Our little band of friends is still together, still worried and still fighting for survival. Quite soon the action starts, and several things happen. We meet new characters, both good and evil, both stupid and smart. I really liked that we didn’t only have our band of friends. While I love all the characters dearly, I still don’t mind seeing other survivors, even if some of them are just evil and thinking of themselves. While I don’t approve of what some of the characters did in this book, I can also see that a zombie apocalypse might change people, might make them desperate, might make them do stuff they would have never done if not for all this. Again, I still don’t approve of it, but I can just imagine why it happened.
I was a bit frustrated with our characters this time. I can imagine they want to help everyone, help anyone who is a survivor, and while I am not sure what I would have done in the situation, I would think that after 2 close-to-death situations, I wouldn’t be helping people again. I would be just cruising by, or running, or whatever. I can imagine that they want to show how good they are, that even in a land ravished by death, a land turned to a wasteland, that there are good people to rely on. But they also have to see that the world has changed. And that not everyone has that mentality.
Elliot, dear Lord, I hated him from the start. I just knew something was weird/off about him, and while I won’t go into details (as they are spoilers), I can just say that I was sad for Wyatt. The previous book and quite a part of this book he was looking forward to seeing his brother, to see his family, and it must be hard to find out about stuff like what he found out in the book.
Quite a bit of the book takes place in Elliot’s place, and while it seemed it was paradise, there was enough going on, and there was enough zombie action (though even without that, it would have been good, Elliot’s situation and what goes on there, is creepy enough).
I had goosebumps throughout the book, I screamed when characters got in danger, I fangirled when Wyatt and Eva got closer, I awwed at the friendship between the characters and especially Jo and Eva.
The ending also brought a twist to the whole story and had me just staring at the book, mouth wide open, and then screaming: “No way! Really? OMG OMG OMG!”. I just loved that it was added, and I truly can’t wait for the next book, which I will probably read in very very soon, since I just want to know how this end. It wasn’t in the planning for me to read the series in one go, I was planning to read just book 1, but then I finished that and loved it, went to book 2, devoured and loved that one, and now I just want to read book 3. :)
I would really highly recommend this book (and the series (at least book 1 and 2 for now)) to everyone! Looking for a creepy read with the occasional romance (very light)? Wanting to get in the Halloween spirits? Then read this one now!

The world as Eva and her friends once knew it is no longer the same. They need to make it across the country-alive-and find their safe haven. The virus that has wreaked havoc on their home land is quickly killing everyone and anyone. They just have to make sure they are not next.
I immediately went in search of this book as soon as I finished AS THEY RISE. I had to know what was going to happen next. So I ended up buying the box set and devoured it late into the night. It was that stinkin' good. I grew quite fond of all the characters...especially Wyatt and Eva. Eva is one of those take charge kind of gals without it being too over bearing. And Wyatt has a wonderful heart; which only seems to beat for Eva. *swoon* The other characters are great as well, but could get on my nerves at times. I guess not everyone is meant for an apocalypse.
WHILE WE FALL was just as fabulous as the first and I couldn't get enough. 5 Stars Zombish Stars! -
Second book in the Eva trilogy, and it is pretty clever. Great twists with the plot, that I did not see coming. I can't wait to see what happens in the 3rd one. This is a fun read.

Well, I liked the first one better.
I still think that Eva is a kick-ass heroine and I adore her but I didn't like the devices the author used to keep the story going. It was the same trick over and over again. They save someone; . Over and over again. Even Elliot has a few screws loose. Too many, to be honest. His house seems a paradise but Eva's got a nagging feeling about it.
I also like the fact that there's just a tiny bit of romance in this book but the gory parts are way more important than the romance.
I'm pretty sure that 2,99€ is a bit expensive for 137 pages and I regret my purchase. Just a little bit.
Ok, off to volume #3... -
This is a sequel that stands up to the first in the series! Wilde did a great job upping the stakes and left me wondering what will happen to Eva next. I'm definitely reading Book 3!

The 2nd time I've read this book I was able to finish it in 1 day bc I just couldn't put it down. I loved every minute of it. I loved being able to see everything going on in my head like watching a movie 🎥. Eva, Jo, Wyatt, and Ben have been thru so much together but it has made them stronger and much closer to each other too. They have helped others and met many strangers who they tried to help but then the strangers would back stab them. It's a different world 🌎 now tho so they have to start adapting to it and realizing that they need to trust their instincts bc not everyone really needs help. Some people are out for themselves and that's all they care about. They don't care to hurt other people in the process. I'm glad the Eva and her friends strive to be & do good and they make sure they don't ever lose their humanity, but they do need to learn to make the hard choices at times and hopefully with all they have been thru they will be able to start making this choices now. I life that they make it to Wyatt's brothers house. The called it paradise. Elliot seems a little off to me, kinda insane. I can't believe the this the apocalypse is amazing. He wants zombie around to fight. He has turned completely evil. I can't wait to start the next book in this series!!! A MUST READ FOR ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE LOVERS!!!!!! -
Zombies, zombies and more zombies, can't get enough of them and can't kill enough of them; yet. The Open Road was like smearing your body with vomit, dirt and spit, blood and intestines and, after all the action of decapitating zombie heads, spearing them through the eyes, slaughtering as many as they could Eve and gang had to continue the slaughter after escaping Wyatt's brother's wrath. At least the dog survived, but the continent of Australia is in question.
Love this second book. Loved the first book. Can't wait for the third installment sometime soon: Eva Wilde, and the Race to Freedom. Get all three novellas on wattpad.com for free, as well as many other fantastic book in many other genres. -
4.5/5, rounding up to 5
I'm not really into zombie apocalypse stories but this series was very addictive. This is the second book of the series and my favourite one from all three. I highly enjoyed reading this, it was creepy, mysterious and since the main character (Eva) is such a kickass girl I loved this story. Also, her friends are so loyal and always stick up for one another and the fact that they still hang on to humanity although that has long been gone, it's one emotional, reckless and smoothly written book. -
i love this next installment!!!! It's more exciting and fear-inducing read! I was at the edge of my seat trying not to bit my nails as I read on. Not knowing whether they will survive or not or if one of them will die or get bitten. The suspense was awesome! As they make their way through Elliot's place theyre being challenged on whats right and wrong. Read and find out whether Elliots haven will be their new home.

Much better than the first book! This one was actually exciting and kinda scary. Less chicklit, more zombie survival.
