A beautiful tale of filled with a hot, sexy alpha male and a fiery female heroine!
Inevitable is the second book in the Key West series and did was brilliant nonetheless!
Author C.A. Harms writes with flare, integrity, and with feeling!
Harper and Easton’s rapport was a really well-grounded and executed as we have a female lead, Harper, who hasn’t had it easy in life and is head strong and spirited; and a resilient male counterpart, Easton, who can hold his own and go up well against her. While Harper is prickly and rough around the edges, Easton can see well beyond that, that vulnerability she tries to hide inside despite her tough exterior.
They have this rare type of bond that transcends beyond broken pasts, insecurities, and just dwindles down to the two of them being able to strip down each other’s layers and call out each other’s bullsh@$ and just be themselves around one another.
I really loved the give and take they highlight in one another and how they give each other something worth fighting for.
Can this duo face the inevitable and submit to fate? To destiny? Or will it crumble around and consume this unlikely couple?

➖OW drama: H has a long and complicated history with crazy, cheating ex-gf. She jealously confronts h, trying to start trouble, then she claims to be preggers with H's baby (he slipped up and slept with her 2 months ago, before getting with h) Doc appointment, waiting for paternity test...Causes lotsa tension and strife between H&h, H acts like an ass. I just don't wanna read about that crap for the entire book.
➖OM drama: At the beginning, h finds out the guy she's dating is married. She keeps running into him and his wife. Drama causes an argument with H & h at the end.
➖h hires strippers for bachelorette party (for h from book #1) and H doesn't like it (even though he owns 2 strip clubs.) I'm just not a fan of people in committed relationships watching strippers. -

Harper Jameson, Jett's sister, who was featured in the first book of the Key West series, Unpredictable, is feisty, smart and operates on a "take no prisoners" philosophy. She is fiercely independent, but wary of men. Dating is fine, but there is a belief in her that men will let you down, it is better to keep low expectations in order to avoid disappointment.
Her latest regular hook up, Ian is no different than the rest. It's an uncomplicated relationship-they have sex, hang out, have sex. Does something feel a little off about this guy? Yeah, but they aren't serious, so maybe it's nothing. As far as Jett and Easton Black (Jett's zillionaire best friend) are concerned, this guy is hiding something-and they are going to find out what it is.
About the same time that Harper discovers what Ian's has been up to, so have Jett and Easton. And Harper is peeved at their interference. Jett makes no apologies for his protectiveness and Easton, Harper coming at him with both guns loaded just turns him on! He has been interested in his friend's sister for a long time, but didn't want to complicate things. Besides, his father just died and he has inheritance included night clubs (ok maybe a strip club or two many be in there also) and he has been going crazy trying to keep up with it all. But now he's determined to make something happen with her.
Seeing Harper angry and all fired up was sexy. She was a spitfire, and I had no doubt she would be just as feisty in bed.
Over lots of flirting, cocktails, and dinners both Harper and Easton's walls are coming down. There is a little fly in the ointment-actually more like a pesky gnat. At his Ricochet club, he had a fling with one of his employees-Sarah. Well, it seems in spite of her inability to remain faithful, she still wants Jett. She makes sure that Harper is aware of their past and is more than willing to make trouble.
Just when Harper thinks that maybe she needs to rethink the things in her past that scarred her against trusting a man, Easton starts acting weird and is pulling back from her. She doesn't know that Sarah is messing with his mind and he is afraid that he will lose Harper when she finds out what he is hiding.
Inevitable is an easy read with a few delicious angsty moments. I love angst so I would have been okay with a few more bumps in the road for this couple. The previous characters from the first book are all in this one so it's like spending time with some of your favorite people. There are lots of colorful characters in this series, and lots of stories just waiting to be told. I hope there are lots more in our reading future.

I wasn't too sure about it a first but I was really good.
Harper was badass and I just loved her dog.

Harper Jameson is a smart-mouthed, take no prisoners kind of gal. She is definitely not afraid to speak her mind.
After a tragic incident when she was younger, Harper is very guarded with her heart. Unfortunately she seems to pick the wrong type of guys.
When Harper’s brother Jett’s friend takes an interest in her, she is not sure what to think. He is definitely gorgeous but he is a player.
Easton Black is a take control kind of guy. He is used to getting what he wants. Right now, he wants Harper. Yes, Jett is his best friend, but he is not looking to use Harper. She is definitely not like all the other women he has been with.
The two of them compliment each other with their quick wit and hot chemistry.
When someone from Easton’s past tries to break them up, Harper decides to fight for her man. She totally rocks.
I immensely enjoyed this book. I didn’t think the author could outdo or match book 1, but I was wrong. The storyline was completely different, but it was definitely just as good.
I loved this series and highly recommend it to read. -

CA Harms cannot write a bad book to save her own life. She simply can’t. She always draws me in and hooks me from the very first page, to the very last one. I’ve said this before and I will say it again: her books keep getting better and BETTER, and trust me when I say that they were amazing to begin with. CA is an author you must NOT miss out on!! One of my all-time favorites, for sure!

INEVITABLE was Easton and Harper’s story and yes, it can technically be read as a standalone, but I would recommend starting with book 1, UNPREDICTABLE. Now let me tell you this… I LOVED Jett – a lot – but EASTON? O.M.G. EASTON. He stole my heart!!! His cocky (not in a bad way AT ALL) and sexy attitude made me melt. I absolutely loved how he never once hid his attraction to Harper. The sexual tension between them in the beginning was very much palpable! Houuu-Leeee-Cowwww! I was ready to start fanning myself while reading!

Harper has got to be one of my favorite female characters. Sassy, funny, and strong but not annoyingly stubborn (MASSIVE PLUS!). She and Easton were a match made in book heaven! She didn’t give into his very swoon-worthy romantic side easily, though, she made him work for it a bit, and I loved seeing them come together. It did not feel rush or too quick. It was perfect. Everything was developed at the right pace (yet another massive plus)!
INEVITABLE had drama (Sarah…grrr), angst, PASSION, steam, romance, and humor. OMG BRUTUS!!!!!!!!!! I have never tried to NOT laugh as hard as I did last night. Hubs was sleeping next to me so I was trying (and failing MISERABLY) to stop shaking as I giggled and then, flat out laughed, while reading about Easton and Brutus, Harper’s slightly HUGE dog. Funniest. Thing. Ever. CA Harms did a superb job describing all the details – from facial expressions to body movements – during those scenes and it was just perfect. FUNNY as could be. Have I mentioned that I LOVED this book?
INEVITABLE was AMAZING and damn it, I didn’t want the book to end. Ever. Easton and Harper’s story had me FULLY invested, turning the pages like a lunatic. FIVE BRILLIANT STARS! And oh my gosh….I NEED KADE’S STORY. Yesterday. My heart is already aching. Sigh.
You guys…. Go one-click INEVITABLE. You won’t be sorry. I promise. This one – for sure – made it to my Top Favorite Book List of 2015. In true CA Harms fashion, this book is a MUST READ. -
Wow! C.A. Harms has done it again. This is a great follow up to the first book in this series, UNPREDICTABLE. Harper is Jett's sister and I think we will all agree that we fell in love with her sass in the first book. She has a take no prisoners attitude and dared anyone to cross her. She kept herself closed off from most people and wanted to keep it that way. Only her family knew what had happened in her past that caused her attitude and she was determined to keep it that way. However, the last thing she expected was Easton.
Easton loved Harper's spit fire attitude and couldn't get enough of her. Every time she was around and went on a rampage, he fell for her just a little bit more. He was determined to get close to her and find out all her secrets. What he didn't plan on was Harper burrowing into his heart in the process.
Harper and Easton both had a past they needed to overcome in order to find true happiness and it was wonderful going on that journey with them. I adored them. I loved watching them grow learn to trust each other. Each time they faced hardships, they were determined to keep their relationship alive. Easton was so easy to love and I loved his reaction to Harper's dog. If nothing else, read the book just for that! Fun times!
I can't wait for the next book in the series as the sneak peak has left me dying for Kade's story. I'm sure C.A. Harms will not disappoint as she hasn't yet!! -
I really enjoyed this story. Harper’s fiery personality, and Easton’s cocky attitude were hilarious. Both stubborn people, you would think they wouldn’t be able to get along, but the chemistry and then finally the love between them, is amazing.
When Harper found out what slimeball Ian had been up to, she also discovered that her brother and Easton (her brother’s best friend) had already assigned spies to Ian, and had found out all the gory details. (You need to read the book to find out what they are!!) Harper went mad! She stormed into Jett’s office to give them a piece of her mind. Jett obviously wasn’t bothered because he is very protective of Harper, and Easton Just found her hot when she got all fired up.
I felt sorry for her, and then the parts about Harper’s past were heart breaking. CA Harms told this story extremely well. This is a must read book, serious and heart breaking in parts but hot and steamy with lots of fun banter between Harper and Easton.
Well-deserved 5 stars!! -

Inevitable turned out to be one of those rare occurrences when the sequel was even more fun than the first book in the series – Unpredictable, which was excellent. I am enjoying everything about this truly delightful series. The characters are interesting and people I would like to know, the story-line was entertaining and deliciously steamy. I can’t wait to start the next book. -

She made me laugh, cheer, smile and cry throughout. Easton was definitely a sexy lead with a bad boy image that you can’t help but swoon over! He’s charming, protective, domineering (in the hot way) and will protect those he cares about with a fierceness you will love.

The plot was captivating and entertaining. There was great drama that kept you reading to find out what was going to happen next. It kept me hooked, wondering if these two would ever get the chance to become something. I loved the plot lines of Harper’s past, and Easton’s crazy one night stand! The supporting characters such as Quinn and Jett and their friends were also brilliant and I can’t wait to get the stories of those such as Kade.
“Right now, though, staring back at Easton as his blue eyes bored in to mine caused my mouth to feel dry. He made my heart race and my stomach flip. I still wasn’t sure I liked that feeling. It made me feel weak.”
Overall a fun, heartfelt and entertaining love story about two people who YOU want to get a HEA. A perfect read for a sunny, relaxing afternoon.

Inevitable is book 2 in the super amazing Key West series. CA is fast becoming one of my top authors as I find myself falling in love with all her books.
This book follow the story of the strong, sassy and sexy Harper. And the deliciously delectable hottie Easton! I adored the flirty connection between these two and thought the angst and pull was built up and written out perfectly. I found myself routing for these two all the way through, particularly nearer the end, when truths and pasts are revealed. Easton is definition for alpha male in this, his cocky arrogant attitude only makes him so much more mouth-wateringly delightful.
Inevitable is very well written and keeps you flicking the pages from the moment you begin. I can't wait for more of this series! -

Really good second instalment in the Key West Series. This is Harper and Easton's Story. Crikey these two do not pull any punches....talk about straight talking. Easton is one of Harper's brother, Jett, best friends. These are two driven and feisty characters and when they connect the sparks fly. They both have pasts and things get tricky when the past gets tangled in the present. Good ending which leads us into Kade and Avery's story. I really like this series. It is so easy to get into and ever so slightly addictive. My weekend has been spent with the Key West crew...... -

She comes off as a bitch but something really bad happened to her when she was young and that made her wall up her heart. At first she fights against her feelings for Easton but inevitably she gives in to them. I loved her and how she stood by him when his past threatened their relationship.
Easton Black is an entrepreneur; he owns clubs and is helping Jett with his restaurants. He is also a playboy. Easton has all the traits of an alpha male: he is protective, possessive, and cocky and likes to have control. And he is incredible hot! He regrets his past mistakes and is afraid that they will affect is relationship with Harper, revealing a vulnerable side. I loved how he never gave up on Harper and his interactions with Brutus. He was hilarious!
Once again, C.A. Harms gives us an incredible book, with an amazing story and great characters. Her writing is flawless and she is able to make the reader connect with the story and the characters. Can't wait to read Irrevocable and the rest of the Key West series!

I have been waiting to read Harper’s story since I fell in love with her in LOVING COLT. Harper is a strong, smart and sassy young woman who has a wicked sense of humour and absolutely no verbal filter, so if she thinks it, she says it and makes no apologies about it. She also has a quick wit and she doesn’t take crap from anyone, especially from her protective older brother. She believes in punishment for bad behaviour, and if someone crosses the line, she has no problem telling them off or making them pay. Someone like that needs a strong man, one that will not only be able to handle her attitude but can also give it back. Anything less and she’ll get bored and walk all over them.
Easton is that man and he did not disappoint. He held his own against Harper and never backed down from her. He didn’t back down from Jett either when Jett realised he had a thing for his little sister. I’ve read so many books where the brother’s best friend shies away from his feelings out of loyalty to the brother. Or they date in secret and when the brother finds out, he goes ballistic and beats up said best friend. I liked that neither of those situations happened here. Easton became attracted to Harper, spoke up about his feelings and stood his ground with Jett, who understood that Harper was an adult and as long as she wasn’t going to be just another fling, gave Easton his blessing.
Only one thing disappointed me with INEVITABLE and it’s the revelation that Harper has a secret and painful past that turned her into the woman she is today. I loved her snarkiness, her quick wit, her dry and dirty humour. Apparently all of these things that I loved about her were just one big barrier to protect her from getting hurt again. Why did she have to have some terrible secret to have made her that way? Why couldn’t the things that made her awesome just be because she’s awesome?
I like that Ms Harms puts little updates about previous couples in her books. In this case, we got an update on Quinn and Jett’s relationship and how their HEA is going.

I'm really enjoying C.A Harm's books. They sure don't lack in the alpha department! There's just something about the men in her stories that keep me wanting more! In book 1, I fell in love with Jett and Quinn. I was so excited to get more of their relationship in Inevitable. Jett is still so in love and so overprotective when it comes to Quinn. However, Jett did have some competition in the alpha department when it came to...Easton Black.
I loved Harper's description of Easton...
"He was a very attractive man. He was also very cocky and arrogant, and 90 percent of the time I wanted to slap him. He was demanding and straight forward. He was confident and rude at times.... He was me with a penis.
LOL. I would have to agree! Easton is all those things as is Harper. They are the same person when it comes to their personalities. They both are demanding and straight forward. They both have cocky attitudes and when they both walk into a room, they both draw everyones attention. Together...they were on fire! The chemistry between them was explosive and yet they brought out the sweet and tenderness side of each other. I loved seeing the loving sides that they both showed. I also loved seeing the feistiness and bickering that would go on between them.
I am really enjoying this series. I believe that this story was a great addition to the Key West collection! I am definitely looking forward to reading Kade's story and getting to learn more about him. All I have to say, is that I was already captivated by the time I finished reading the sneak peek of......Irrevocable.

I was given this book for a honest review
Inevitable is book 2 in the Key West Series and this is Harper Jameson and Easton Black's story.
Harper is Jett's sister and she speaks her mind and tells it as it is, she is sassy and bold.... But underneath this tough exterior is a girl who was hurt and she will protect her heart at all costs.
Easton Black is one of Jett's best friends and he likes to be in control and is used to getting what he wants and he wants Harper .....
Will Harper let him take control and will Harper fight for her man when someone from Easton's past threatens there relationship....
The chemistry between Harper and Easton is electrifying as is the sex .....I loved the way these guys stick together and protect each other. It was great to have the characters we met in book 1 come into the story without taking over.
I thought this book was as good if not better than book 1. I do believe you can read it as a standalone but think you will enjoy it more if you have read Unpredictable which is book 1 in The Key West Series. Can it get any better I hope so I'm looking forward to more from C.A Harms

I really enjoy reading stories from this author. I always find them to be a quick an easy read.
I wish there was a little bit more to add to the drama of the story but besides that I loved the story.
Harper is what some would consider a b*tch! But it is so funny to see her when she gets fired up! She is hilarious!! She doesn't take to kindly to anyone trying to put her in her place. She doesn't stand for a man to talk to her like she is beneath him. She is strong willed and stubborn. But there is more to Harper. She really just wants what every women wants, someone to take her and love her for her. Someone to stand beside her. She has trouble trusting men.
Easton, well Easton is sexy, arrogant and all kinds of alpha male!!! He is basically sex on a stick. Easton has known Harper for a long time, Jett, Harpers brother is Easton's best-friends. So when Jett ask for help locking into someone Harper is seeing he jumps at the chance to help and in the process he begins to see who Harper really is. He begins to see Harper is all hard and tough on the outside but inside is someone even sexier. But the question is will she let her wall down for Easton, and will someone from Easton's past cause Harper to believe all men are the same and that she can't trust anyone? -

I loved this book! The story and characters were developed really well. I absolutely loved how strong and independent Harper is, even in her "weaker" moments, she found a way to keep pushing forward. Easton is definitely a handful. He's cocky and a bit arrogant, but I loved it! I really enjoyed how these two interacted with each other!
The storyline flowed really well and I was able to connect with the characters. There was plenty of humor and quite a few twists that I didn't see coming. I did not want to put this one down and I'd definitely recommend it to other readers. -
C.A.Harms is one of my go to authors. I have loved every word she has written!! And oh man INEVITABLE is no exception. Easton Black is certainly an alpha male in every way. But he is lovable. And his adoration of Harper is adorable. Harper has a past which causes her to distrust men and to push away the good guys. Can Easton break her down? Will bumps in the road split them up?
