This a great, eclectic anthology of horror stories. The stories are strong and varied. It was a real pleasure to read. No horror fan should be without a copy!

A Christopher Golden short story is almost always enough to convince me to read an anthology, and this was no exception. It has the usual spectrum of offerings, five of which stood out for me.
Golden's The Hiss of Escaping Air, and Paul McMahon's Bitemarks proved to be interesting fare, and John McIlveen's Eve was fantastically thought-provoking.
K. H. Vaughan's The Opacity of Saints took me straight back to Clive Barker's Cabal (the book upon which Nightbreed was based), which was crying out for a sequel. I adored Sam Gafford's My Brother's Keeper, a sympathetic retelling of Lovecraft's The Dunwich Horror from an unexpected point of view.
Last but not least, it would be criminal to finish before giving Chet Williamson's introduction an honorable mention for being so entertaining. Bravo! -
