I don’t like to think of myself as a weapon per se, but when the need arises, I will use everything in my arsenal to protect the human race, and my job is about to get more interesting given the impending Penumbral Tri Lunar Eclipse. My Father has worked tirelessly to create the ultimate vaccine, his last attempts had failed and the result was a catastrophic loss to the human race and the supernatural’s, the results still haunted him and he still blamed himself for the deaths. There were sceptics from humans and the various species, they were the ones who remembered his promises from before, and they were hard to convince that this inoculation wouldn’t fail. I could only hope that the scientists who work for my Father have managed to mass produce a vaccine to combat the effects of the Rising Blood Moon, before the shit well and truly hits the fan.

Wow. I read an excerpt from this book on the authors page and was instantly hooked. K.A Jones took the shifter and vampire lore to a whole new level, a female with multiple shifting capabilities and the strength of an alpha. Gema is a fearse character who holds many secrets and abilities. On a mission to protect mankind and unite the supernatural world.
There are alot of alpha males in this story, all of which have an instant reaction to Gema, not always positive. Battles are fought, truths revealed and a bond formed that is not easily broken.
K.A.Jones is a great author she is able to take a simple story and manipulate it into an adventure of epic proportions. This story created intense feelings in the reader and I am excited to read more -
I love Rising Blood Moon (The G.E.M.A Collins Series)!!! Author K.A. Jones never ceases to amaze me with the way can she tell a story!! I love the unique storyline, the details and the way she captures the characters. I can picture the scenes in my mind as I read them and watch them play out. I can’t wait to see what happens in Book 2!!
Sargent Gema Collins was born half human and half wolf. Her Father, The General, had altered her DNA to enhance her skills to make her the ultimate weapon to protect the humans from the paranormal world. Gema can shift into several different animals and can control the earth and environment. Her next mission is during The Prenumbral Tri Lunar Eclipse (The Rising Blood Moon). During The Rising Blood Moon, the paranormal have this insatiable blood lust and her father has come up with a vaccine to help control it. Her mission is to train a team to handle situations, get the paranormal vaccinated and keep the humans safe.
As she arrives on base to meet her team, she knows that she will have to prove herself to them because she is a woman. To see what they are made of and what type of control they have, when she walks into the room, she releases her smell of arousal. They are all trying to get to her except there is one man that is just setting there, watching.
Cole manages to keep himself together until she is naked. Cole tells her he can control his wolf but his human side can’t control her being naked in front of him and goes after her. As thoughts are going through her mind, knowing that all the men on her team are Alpha’s, Cole clearly has more control that the others. Could he be a potential mate? Since he has so much control she definitely needs to make him her second in command. After her team has seen and now experienced some of her talents first hand they are now wondering what is she and how did she get those abilities. The down side of obtaining her talents, her father has almost killed her several times while enhancing her abilities, but they don’t know that.
Of course, that’s not all her father has done……
You have to read this book to find out what happens!!! I can’t wait to see what happens next!!!
