Let me just start off saying that I deserve a pat on the back for reading this piece of craptastic fluff from start to finish. I change my mind. I deserve a medal. And before you ask, yes, I skimmed thru the last half. I've read a lot of novels that are sickly-sweet, but this one takes first prize. Remember the scene in "Ghostbusters" where Bill Murray gets slimed? Well that's me only I got slimed with a barrel of water mixed in with a ten tons of sugar. Everything (except for the cheating boyfriend) is so fucking perfect. Need an example? The list goes on and on and that doesn't include Erin and how wonderful she is. By the end I was having dry-heaves. Some women may say that he's the type of guy they want. Who wouldn't? I love romance, gifts, being loved and cherished, etc. But this? Come on now. This is just so over-the-top ridiculous it's asinine. Definitely not continuing with the series. I better go shower before the sugar-coating hardens.

    ★Review★

You know what, this book was ok, but just ok. But I was sort of rolling my eyes a bit during it - maybe I am just too old and cynical now.

It is super fluffy and over the top nice, not that in general there is anything wrong with nice, but at 50% I was sort of wondering what the heck there was to happen, which apparently was solved by adding in a couple of unnecessary dramas.

But it reads like a book for those who never grew out of Disney films, and desperately wanting to be a Disney princess. Now, I can still watch Beauty and the Beast like the best of them, but I am old enough to realise no man is perfect, unlike it seems, the hero in this story!

There were odd occasion in this book the timings of things were just off, not massively, but enough to annoy me, for example, it opens with Erin in her class, and her students coming in, she spends a paragraph daydreaming about how she got to where she is as she is so great and independent, then all of a sudden, supposedly an entire period has gone by, with her sat there daydreaming, and ignoring her students. Or when Erin and Walker are out for a meal, order drinks and a meal, say 5 sentences to each other, and their meals are suddenly there and they need more drinks! How slow..........do..............they...................speak.

Oh, and Erin, who is 28 - describes the losing of her virginity "the most sacred gift I could give"

But apparently, everyone loves each other, they are all super great and have zero reservations about an unexpected pregnancy, even the 23 year old newly qualified teacher Walker, who knocked up some girl on a one night stand. No he is so great and soooo in lurvvve, he is super super happy. And Awesome. Oh and ofc - RICH!

So, if you want a grown up version of a Perfect Disney story - with added sex (which the hero is super great at, and they can and do get up to all sorts in not so appropriate places such is their not to be experienced by us mere mortals level of passion), and the heroine spends so much of the book wet, I am surprised they even noticed when her waters broke, then go for it.

4 1/2 stars, This was just the book I was looking for. If you love an over protective possessive hero you will love Walker. Yes this book is what some may call over the top HEA but I really liked it, from the very beginning I was hooked and I didn't want to put this book down. It was just plain and simple a fun book that leaves you happy, and their was noting anyone could find in Walker not to like. Erin was a great heroine and I love that the people who do wrong in this book gets whats coming to them. I read a lot of books some dark some heavy and some light and this change of pace was just what I needed.

What Erin thought was the worst day of her life the first day of summer break, catching her boyfriend cheating on her turned out to be the best thing for her. After seeing her boyfriend cheating Noelle her friend books them a trip but also vows to get Erin out of her funk. Going out dancing and finally having fun end up with Erin drunk and in a room with the most glorious guy she had ever scene. And after a night she will never forget Erin walked away knowing she shouldn't. Weeks later during her trip Erin's world changes when she realizes she is pregnant with Walker's baby. After trying and failing to find Walker Erin has accepted that she will be raising this baby on her own. Then on her first day back at work after summer break Erin see's the new teacher is none other than Walker.

Neither can believe that their seeing each other, and after finally accepting that she would be a single parent Erin finds herself telling Walker everything. What shocks her most is that Walker regrets her leaving and is ecstatic that they have found each other and more so that she is pregnant, and he wants them to be together. But after finding her ex cheating Erin isn't sure she can trust any an ever agin. Agreeing to go on a Date soon Erin finds herself falling in love with Walker. But another teacher at school wants Walker and when Erin thinks it can't get any worse Erin see's Walker with the person she never wants to see again. Now Walker will have to set everything right to have the life the love of his life while at the same time they will both learn what matters most.

The last several books I have read I have really liked but I still felt in a funk and I'm not sure why but this book brought me right out of that funk. It was just what I needed. I didn't want to sleep or do anything else but read this book. Yes it was sugary sweet but it was also perfect. Amy Marie did a great job with this book not only with the story and main characters but also with creating amazing side characters, and creating a whole world for us. I'm not sure how I feel about Erin's best friend yes she loved Erin but I couldn't live with someone who treated me like a child and told me what to do, but on the other I see book two is about her and that is one of her issues. Their is sad in this book but Ms. Marie really uses that sad to show Erin and Walker what really matters in life and I loved watching them come together after the loss in this book. I highly record this book to anyone who loves a possessive hero, or anyone who loves a book with a pregnant heroine, but more so to anyone who just need a refreshing change of pace in their reading.

This was the cutest story! The hero was so swoon worthy and FINALLY a man that steps up to the plate and IS HAPPY ABOUT IT! The subject of this story is one of my favorite things to read about. Walker was just the kind of man to help Erin move on from her douche of an ex boyfriend.

If you are looking for a cute and sweet romance with little to no drama/angst, then this is your story! You will have a smile on your face for majority of this book - I promise! :)

It was a very sweet read, and I devoured it, however it was too sweet. Erin, our 27 year old heroine/math teacher finds her boyfriend of 5 years doing his married secretary doggy style, and breaks it off with her basically calling her boring in bed. Erin then has a one night stand with a hot stranger and the next day flees... a couple of weeks later she finds out she is pregnant..then a couple months later the new teacher turns out to be her one nighter..she tells him she is pregnant and HE is the sweetest guy ever. Doting on her and his unborn baby since day one. Too sweet right? Walker seemed too perfect, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop. Maybe I am just jealous that she has this perfect specimen that wants all of her, but I was hoping for some angst, and some problems.. either way it was fun, and I loved both characters!

The story's okay, not that exciting but it's good. I was kind of disappointed when the guy ended up swooning when he learned that she got pregnant with his baby, I kind of expected that typical guy reaction which is to run for the door!

He's sweet and he's a good person, and sooo protective..

The writing style is okay, I skipped quite a lot but in a way that I was still able to understand the story.

    “Embrace the Unexpected”.
Wow, just wow. I that's the words that have been going through my head since I reached chapter 2 in this sweet sexy read. Amy Marie took me for a romantic spin through some funny and sexy but so very sweet interludes between Walker and Erin. I really can't say enough that this book was just what I needed. A sexy , honest and loyal hero who stepped up to the plate and never once faltered..never once wavered. I adored Walker and let's just say that Erin is one lucky heroine.

I have to always find the secondary character that steals a piece of my heart. The character that did that here is hands down Noelle, Erin's best friend. She was sassy, funny and just all around a riot. I adored her. You never knew what was going to come out of this chick's mouth. But you could always guarantee it would be something worth remembering for sure.

Walker and Erin's love story was something that proves that you can have a sexy and fulfilling romance without all of the angst and misunderstandings that a lot of books tend to have lately. I laughed and even teared up a few times all because of sweet emotions..not tear my heart out angst. I'm a sucker for a man that loves his kids as deeply as his woman..and this was a perfect story about the most perfect kind of love.

I really enjoyed this book so much and will be following this author from here on out.

    4.5 STARS..

Right off the bat I want to say that there is no cheating between the H/h even when they are not together.

Now.. Robert, what a piece of shit. The evil things he said to Erin about the baby. Also if you were unhappy all you had to do was say so breakup move on. Asshole.

Now Walker was absolutely amazing. I want one. HAHA. He seriously didn't just step up he made her and the baby his LIFE. He was such and amazing boyfriend/husband & father. I appreciated his character so much after some of the books I've read.

That epilogue was PERFECT. Amy didn't leave anything out. I felt like I got a full conclusion to how their lives will be without having to read a second and third book to see them get the perfect HEA.

    I absolutely recommend this book.

  • Venus Windmiller

I was offered an ARC for an honest review of Amy's first book. Let me just say I would have purchased this book. It was absolutely AMAZING! Walker is the vision of what all women look for in a book boyfriend. He is alpha, demanding, sweet, and caring. Erin is sort of messed up when she meets Walker. She is trying to put her life back together after a major upset. Erin and Walker's relationship is perfect. Then you add in her bestie, Noelle, and her saltiness and the whole book is great. There were even some points when I was giggling out loud!

Amy, congrats on your first novel! I CAN'T wait for book two.

  • Amber Boyd

I loved this story! Erin and Walker together are combustible in the best possible way! Walker is pushy and demanding, attentive and sweet, sexy and well did I mention sexy? He's everything Erin never knew she wanted or was missing from her seemingly perfect life. They find out together that sometimes the unexpected encounter brings the most unexpected happiness. Great read! Funny, sweet and sexy.

  • Jensi

Great romance! Walker is the sweetest man I've ever read in a book, very impressive for being 23. He was just what Erin needed when her ex turned out to be a jerk and an otherwise difficult situation became romantic and sweet. Great job, Amy!

  • Rachel

So surprised by this book! So it may have been insta love but honestly whenever Walker would talk I got over it. He was hot and I love how he had a little alpha personality. The way Walker was with Erin was so cute. No stupid unnecessary drama, just a feel good book that was also hot.

    Review by Jen Hagen

This was a fun, quick, sweet read with very little angst – sometimes we all need a break from the bad-boy angst-filled books and need a little refreshing sweet story. Walker is all kinds of sweet…sigh.

Erin is a 27-year-old math teacher who has been in a relationship with Robert for about 5 years. Their love for each other helped them through a miscarriage and it is only fitting that the next step in their relationship would be an engagement. Erin is heading over to Robert’s apartment to surprise him when he returns home from work with a home-cooked dinner . She opens the door and sees candles alight and her heart and mind automatically think of a proposal. But wait…what’s that sound… Erin can’t stop herself from finding where it leads her to.
Robert, my Robert, is screwing his secretary on the bed we picked out together at Sears. Their two bodies become one on the sheets we decided on because of the thread count.

Robert found a way to unleash his boredom and try new positions with somebody else because Erin is just not “adventurous” enough for him between the sheets. Oh Erin will definitely now show everybody that she can have an adventure of her own. Cue the best friend taking Erin out on the town dancing at a club and shoving drinks down her throat. Erin allows herself to let loose on the dance floor and she finds herself dancing with a sexy man and her unadventurous life will definitely turn a corner after this night ends.

“My name is Walker. Would you like to come back to my hotel room and see what kind of adventures I can take you on?”

The next morning Erin avoids the walk of shame being witnessed by Walker as she sneaks out of his hotel room and back to her mundane life. She is quite surprised weeks later when she realizes that her adventurous night will always have a permanent reminder. She told Walker a fake name and she doesn’t even know his last name. There is no way to get a hold of him. Never say never…there’s always a chance you’ll see him again if the stars are aligned.

Of course it works out that they eventually see each other again in the most unlikely of places. Once Walker is brought up to date on what has been happening in Erin’s life, he is happy as a lark. Walker is not the type of man who will walk away from his responsibilities. He is adamant that he will become a part of Erin’s life.

“Please don’t shut me out. Let me in.”

Not very much time passes and Erin realizes that she is falling hard for Walker, as he is for her. Erin worries that it’s not okay to feel this way after knowing him for such a short time. Erin is a little hesitant to announce their relationship and this begins to make Walker question how strong Erin really feels about him and if she is embarrassed by him. Why else would she hide their relationship status from everybody? Being Walker is only 23, Erin worries that he is not ready for this life of commitment. He has no problem telling her how he feels and wants to be able to tell the world about them being together.

“When I’m with you I feel amazing. You make my heart beat. You make my world turn and my lungs with air. I live and die by you.”

I was a little curious about the cover, but there is a meaning to it and once you read it you realize how truly fitting it is to the story. Walker is so sweet and loving, and Erin is a gal who has a strong head on her shoulders with a good friend beside her. The friend will have her story next in the second installment.

This is the author’s first novel and what a way to get out of the gate! This story has humor, love, mild angst, forgiveness, and steamy scenes. It was a perfect book to pull me out of my bad-boy phase and into a world of sunshine and lollipops. Granted there are a few moments where you may hold your breath, but the majority is a feel-good romance.

“A year ago I wouldn’t have thought this is where I would be but I’ve learned to embrace the unexpected because it can bring some of the greatest things into your life. I love you Erin.”

    This was just insta-everythhhhhhhhingggg!!

Erin thought she had the perfect life – her own home, loved her career as a teacher, lived with her best friend and had the perfect boyfriend…or so she thought.
Erin’s world comes crashing down when she walks in on her “perfect boyfriend” banging his married with children secretary, Anna.

Erin’s best friend Noelle comes with the idea of letting loose – going to a club, getting hammered and getting laid – in order to get over her heartbreak.

Erin never expected the instant attraction she has to the mystery man named Walker. One thing leads to another and Erin embarks on her first one-night-stand with the man she plans to never see again.

    Or so she thought.

One hot night of unadulterated sex leads to a big surprise. An unexpected surprise.
Pregnant with Walker’s baby, Erin prepares to face the music that her baby will never get to grow up knowing it’s father. See, Erin never planned on crossing paths with Walker ever again – no last name, no phone number, nada.

Months later, Erin is in for a mega surprise. She meets the new sixth grade teacher that will be replacing the last and you guessed it – Walker Prescott.

Erin & Walker’s relationship was a complete happenstance kind of thing. He’s twenty-four, straight out of college and she’s twenty-eight, with a broken, guarded heart.

From the minute Walker finds out that the girl he couldn’t get out of his mind since the night in his hotel room is now carrying his baby – the man is full steam ahead.

Walker is the walking definition of persistent. He was just…something else. His feelings for Erin and the baby were so apparent and palpable, you could feel it jumping right out at you from the pages.

He was sometimes creepy, yet super sweet. Hot, young, virile and completely devoted to ensuring that Erin & his baby become a permanent fixture in his life.

Yes, sometimes he came off stalkerish, a little creepy, very demanding, but it was always followed up by the sweetest damn things he did or say that you honestly cannot help falling in love with him yourself in the short time frame that Erin does.

I honestly can say that I really enjoyed this book and thankful for the insta-everythings it came along with.

And the ending? GAH!! I already miss Walker’s crazy antics.

Erin dumps her boyfriend of several years after walking in on him and his secretary. Erin wallows in her misery for a while before her best friend steps in and drags her out of her funk. Drags her right into the clubbing scene too, but if she hadn’t Erin would have never met Walker. Her one night stand, her one night stand she can’t forget because he planted a little present inside of her.

Erin is certain she won’t meet Walker again and she’s preparing herself for her future as a single mother. But by chance Walker walks back into her life…disrupting all her plans and intentions.

I have to say that it took me the first couple of chapters to get into the story, mostly to get used to the characters. They’re quite….active. And with the hormonal imbalance caused by Walker’s little present, a lot of crying was added to the bunch. I’m like a guy in that aspect, I simply don’t know what to do or how to react when people or characters cry.

Apart from the crying, Erin is still an interesting character. After a while her ex’s betrayal is a moot point. Catching the scumbag in the act somehow brought all his flaws to the front, making Erin realize that he wasn’t such a good catch after all and that she’s way better off without him. But it still causes her to question a lot, mainly faithfulness in general. And she’s struggling with that all throughout the book.

Walker, he recognizes her struggle and let’s her use him to numb it. Yes, I really liked Walker. He’s possessive, funny and even considerate, even though there are times he seems to be bulldozing right over Erin. Which is more funny than annoying really.

Overall I did enjoy reading this book, it’s funny and sometimes crazy. You know when a friend tells you she will hurt the person that hurt you when she’ll see him. Most of the time it stays with those words but it doesn’t in this book. And I absolutely loved that, it’s what stuck with me long after reading this book.

I do have to warn for adult content, things really did steam up between Erin and Walker from time to time. There are also some loose ends, but these mainly concern the secondary characters. And I think they will be tied in the next books in this series. For now Erin’s best friend, Noelle is up next and I’m quite curious to read what will happen to that crazy lady.

    ** Shanyn's 4 Star Review **

If you are looking for a sweet, know what to expect, but don’t want to stop reading, romance…..then this is the book for you. I really really enjoyed reading this book. I found myself not wanting to stop reading, so I would have my kindle on the counter in front of me while cooking dinner for the family, or next to me while I folded laundry.

This book was “a breath of fresh air”…..there were a few minor angsty moments, but otherwise, just a sweet romance. Walker is the kind of boy, I would like my daughters to find. He is sweet, caring, trust worthy, with a tad bit of bad boy thrown in there.

Erin is a “girl next door” type, she has a great career, a house she owns with her best friend, and a wonderful boyfriend. Her life is on track, until she finds out her boyfriend is not the Mr. Wonderful she thought he was, and then her life takes a turn. To get over her ex, she goes out, meets Walker, and has a one night stand. She doesn’t give her real name, and leaves the next morning.

“Awe, my little Er-Bear is growing up. Your first one night stand. After years of dating a douche you finally get your vagina some real action.”

But, when the unexpected happens, because of that one night, her life is changed. And now she has no way of finding Walker. When the two are thrown together again a few months later, the sparks are still there, but are they right for each other, and can they figure it all out, while also waiting for their unexpected surprise.

“I agree that we need to learn more about one another, but know this Erin, by the time that baby is born I can assure you that you will be mine.”

Can Erin get over her trust issues with men, and believe in Walker? Can Walker prove to her that he can be trusted?

“I am not him. I am not Robert. It’s not fair to put me anywhere near the same category as that asshole. He was stupid. He didn’t realize what he had when he had it. I realized it after only one night with you.”

“What are you embarrassed about, Erin? Me? The baby? What? Because me…I’m relieved that they all know that you are both MINE. Why can’t you just let it go?”

This book was very well written. You got a taste of angst, sweetness, and humor all wrapped up in one. This is definitely a must read.

Unexpected by Amy Marie was an unexpected hit for me. I loved this book.

Erin thinks he life is perfect. She has a great job teaching, she has a great boyfriend who she thinks is about to ask her to marry her. She has a great family and friends. What else could a girl want?

Well Erin's boyfriend is NOT perfect, as a matter of fact, he is a lying, cheating jerk. Erin walks in on him with his secretary. Oh, how my heart broke for Erin! What an awful thing to have to experience!

Erin is a mess. She has just spent the last 5 years with this jerk! What a waste of 5 years! So now Erin's BFF, Noelle, has forced Erin to go out and have a little fun. Erin has spent 5 years in her little bubble. She needs to get out and experience all the things she has missed out on. Their first stop in a bar/club where she can meet new people and experience new things.

Erin meets Walker. You see, Erin wants to experience having a one night stand. She feels an instant attraction to Walker, and the feelings seem to be mutual. One thing leads to another and then 2 of them end up back at his hotel where they have crazy, passionate sex. The next morning Erin leaves. She doesn't leave Walker with her real name and she won't give him her phone number. She is not looking for anything.

Fast forward a few weeks later.... Erin is not feeling well. She is late and sick. It can't be ??? Can it?? Erin is pregnant with her one night stand. After letting it sink it, she realizes she is ok with this. She can be a single mom.

First day of school... who walks in but a new teacher named Walker. Then the story really begins. I wish there was a whole bunch of Walkers in the world. The love and support he showed Erin was so touching. I loved this story. It made me warm and fuzzy.

I found this story pulled me and and I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. I hate cheating, and I am glad Erin got rid of the wrong guy to meet the man of her dreams!

  • Charity Foster

Oh my, where do I even start? I absolutely fell in love with this book. I loved the characters, the supporting characters, pretty much everything about this book. Erin believes she has the perfect life including the perfect boyfriend. When she shows up one night to surprise him with dinner, she is the one who receives the surprise. When her best friend and roommate talks her into going out, she is reluctant to do so. However, when she finally lets go she meets wonderfully sexy Walker. Walker in turns gives her a night to remember, in more ways than one.
When Walker unexpectedly comes back into her life, she can’t believe it. She has dreamed of him ever since their beautiful night together and wants nothing more than for him to be a part of her new life. Walker has thought about Erin nonstop since she walked out of his hotel room and can’t believe his luck when he realizes they will be working at the same school together. Walker has loved her from the first moment he saw her and wants nothing more than to be a part of her life.
Will Erin be able to let go of her past and move on to the life she deserves with Walker? Will Walker continue to break down Erin’s walls and prove he is the perfect man for her? To find out you will need to read this book. I PROMISE you will not be disappointed. Walker had my heart right from the beginning and my love for him continued to grow all through the book. He seriously is the perfect BBF!! I loved the story line and the writer (this is her debut book BTW) did a wonderful job of keeping the story flowing. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I loved this book and I seriously can’t wait for the next one, Noelle and Trent’s story. But don’t just take my word for it, go out and get your copy today!

  • Karen Harper

I loved this book! You know one of those books where you find yourself smiling while you’re reading it? This is one of those books.
Okay, I wasn’t smiling all the way through. I had a few moments when I wasn’t happy and maybe a little bit angry, but I was smiling most of the time I was reading Unexpected. But the whole book was ‘unexpected’. When I started reading it, I thought this is good, but not great. I soon changed my mind.
This is the part where I tell you I have a new book boyfriend and his name is Walker. I want a Walker in my life! But I also fell in love with Erin. The fact that she is a school teacher like me was a bonus. Her best friend, Noelle, was awesome. In fact, all the characters were awesome in one way or the other. In other words, I disliked some of them intensely.
My favourite quote: “He flips off the light before I can see what colour they (his boxers) are, but my hormones are busy running around like toddlers on sugar”.
I found it very difficult to put Unexpected down. I was even reading during the commercial breaks while I was watching TV. I was also extremely pleased when I read the first chapter of the next book in the Unexpected series. I can’t wait for that one!
    I gave Unexpected 5 stars.

This was a great book but I do have some issues with it. This story starts off with Erin who has a long time boyfriend who she thinks she will move on to marry but when she arrives at his apartment unexpectedly she walks in on him having sex with his secretary. This leads to Erin being single for the first time in years and going out to get drunk with her best friend Noelle. She ends up having a one night stand which leads to an unexpected pregnancy. Now I love these type of story lines but my issue was with Walker, the baby daddy. He was perfect and I mean he says everything perfectly, looks perfect with eight pack abs and all, and everything he does is perfect including how he treats Erin. Even when he found out he was going to be a father to a strangers baby he was overjoyed. He also started declaring his love for her and that he was going to marry her almost instantly. That's fine but there is no conflict at all in this book and I was waiting for something to be wrong with Walker or him to cheat because he was so sweet and so perfect it was almost too cheesy. I'm not complaining but I just didn't buy it. It was almost annoying at times. I love Noelle's snarky attitude and her story is next. I will definitely read another book in this series when I need something light and non dramatic.

This was an easy book to read. It was kinda light and fluffy. Had minimal drama and a lot of good times. It's nice to read a perfect, happy and sappy romance every now and again. After not exchanging any details after their one night, it definitely seemed like fate brought this pair back together. Sure the hero had insta love but the heroine was able to reason with him most of the time. Happy times, sad times, it all worked well together.

“Oh, Sally. I've thought so much about you since our night together. The way you felt on top of me. I've never come so hard in my life. Then you leave me with no way to find you. Until today, Sally. Until today when I saw you walk into the gym. Beautiful and glowing. This job is going to bring you and I closer and I hope we can get to know each other deeper. Tell me...Sally, can we get any deeper?”

~Erin Decker has everything she wants in life. At twenty-seven years old, she has a job she loves, she has a beautiful home with her best friend Noelle, and she has been with her boyfriend Robert for four years-she loves him, has been through so much with him and sees them getting engaged in the very near future.... until he deals her the ultimate betrayal. Heartbroken and devastated, she finds comfort in the arms of a stranger. She instantly feels a connection, but being fresh off a failed relationship, she flees after an intense night of passion without so much as getting his last name, a phone number, or even giving him her real name; he only knows her as Sally. The summer that started off in despair soon takes an unexpected turn that will change her life forever when she realizes her one-night stand left a piece of himself behind with no way to find him....until he comes blazing back into her life when she least expects it.

I'm starting to think that maybe I was never in love with Robert. He was safe, comfortable, and trustworthy, or so I had thought. Walker seemed dangerous, and mysterious, but I still felt more of a connection with him than I ever had with Robert. I just don't know if I could ever let down my guard enough to give all of myself to a man again.

~Walker Prescott has spent the last three months thinking about the woman he never should have let get away, when suddenly she is there-right in front of him, with a surprise. Then and there he decides he will not let her get away again, no matter how much she tries to fight him. He knows she has trust issues, and he understands why, now it is up to him to convince her to give him a chance. Walker is the type of man to go after what he wants with all he has, and what he wants is Erin; she doesn't stand a chance against his charms, determination, and their explosive chemistry. Can he prove to her that he is exactly what she needs, and show her everything they could be together or will her insecurities win out?

“Are you kidding me? Did you not hear a damn word I said yesterday...or today? I want you. I spent three months dreaming about you, wanting you, and thinking I would spend the rest of my life without finding you. And now you're here and I can touch you and talk to you. Of course I want you,”

Yes, this book is ripe with insta-love, and yes, that typically drives me batshit crazy, but in this case, I just couldn't give a damn- Erin and Walker really were perfect for each other. After everything Erin has been dealt in life in recent years, she deserved to be happy and Walker was just the man to provide that. He made her feel cherished, wanted, desired, and the boy sure could make her laugh. He has no problem speaking his mind right there on the spot, even if it tends to get him in trouble from time to time. He was caring, passionate, compassionate, supportive, and had a sexy-as-hell dominate streak when the situation called for it. But Erin and Walker aside, I fell in love with each and every one of the supporting cast as well for many different reasons. They all just brought so much to the story and had an effect of the main characters in so many wonderful ways. Noelle was a spitfire with an unapologetically crass sense of humor and an OCD streak. Erin's brother Trent with his cutie two year old he is being forced to raise all by himself and his semi-secret, slightly frustrating crush, on a girl who can't see whats in front of her. Erin's mom was a hoot and her sister who was dealing with her own problems while still trying her hardest to be the best kind of mom to her kids. There really was just so much to love about this story with all it's drama, tension, chemistry...it had it all. I cannot wait to see where this series takes us next and have quickly added Amy Marie to my 'One-Click Addiction' list. This is the kind of insta-love I can embrace without hesitation.

“Anytime I am with you...or inside you, is quality family time.”
I look up in the mirror to see him staring at his hands around me, lust in his eyes. His statement makes me want to bring him back to the bed and show him how much it affected me. Up until right now I never even thought about us being a family. I've been so wrapped up in trying to figure out if I should let him in and trust him that I didn't realize that whether I do or not he is my family.

    Embrace the unexpected

Met Amy Marie @ Stone Harbor, NJ signing. Where she introduced herself and her writing. Have to say for her first book, it's entertaining and the story is predictable but her one liners are funny. I will be reading more of her work.AJM

I DNF'd this book. So ridiculous and Insta love and just grossly perfect. Couldn't do it.

Okay, this just may be one of the sweetest love stories I've ever read. I believe Amy Marie has nailed down every woman's dream man with Walker Prescott in her debut novel, UNEXPECTED. For sure she's perfectly characterized mine. He's tall, with dark hair, green eyes, charming, a killer body, can dance and sing, loves his job working with kids even though he's wealthy enough to not have to work, has mad skills in the bedroom and a gift for talking dirty in a very alpha man way. All things that would steal any woman's heart (give or take a few details for personal preferences), but none of that is what really makes him the perfect dream man and lands him squarely at the top of my fantasy book boyfriend list. What puts him there is the way he loves. Walker falls hard for Erin Decker the first night he meets her, but foolishly lets her slip away. When he finds himself with a second chance, when fate brings them back into each other's lives, he is determined not to make the same mistake. He devotes himself to her. He's not a bit shy at showing his adoration, his loyalty, his romantic side, his lust for her and his love. Even if he has to be a bit commanding to do it. He puts her needs first in every thing he does as he sets out to show her she's the woman he intends to love, honor and be faithful to for the rest of his life. THAT is his sexist attribute and believe me it's a tough competition when the man oozes sex appeal without even trying. And when he does have seduction in mind? Hot, hot, HOT!!

Erin Decker is beautiful, smart, funny with a curvy body that makes most men drool. Unfortunately for her ex, he didn't appreciate the woman he had. This worked out well for Erin, because she deserved so much better than the cheating creep who was only holding her back. Her hilarious, though uh, slightly slutty, best friend and roommate since their freshman year of college, Noelle, knows just what to do to get Erin on the road to her fresh start. She takes her out to dance, get a little drunk and let loose. Erin is up for one night of fun, but not a one night stand, until she lays her eyes on the smoking' hot Walker whose slightest touch causes her body to shiver with arousal and anticipation. He's irresistible and she doesn't even try to deny it. But in the morning she forces herself to walk away.

Amy Marie has written a tender, modern day fairytale love story that is filled with colourful well-developed characters, snappy dialogue, some seriously hot sexin', laugh-out-loud situations, typical family times, a little heartbreak, and some ex's who frankly get what they deserve. As I believe Mary Poppins said, "It's practically perfect in every way." I know I devoured every word and pouted when it was over. Not to say it didn't conclude with a wonderful HEA, because it did, but I always hate closing the cover on a great story. I am thrilled to know there will be a sequel. That the outrageous, Noelle will be getting her own love story. That I will get to revisit the friends I've made. And of course, my dreamy new book boyfriend, Walker Prescott. 5 stars

First and for most, the cover is two hands. I thought it was something else, but finally figured it out once I read this absolutely wonderful book. When I first signed up, there was mistake with the sign up sheet and it had the wrong synopsis. I was still signed up, but had doubts about this book. That is until I read it.

I knew the moment I started to read this book that Robert was having an affair. I sympathized her right away. What Robert did crushed Erin and she finally realized what a cheating low-life douche bag he is. The way he treated her in the past lead up to the moment where Erin is finally free. With her best friend in tow, they go to a club where Erin meets Walker. A sexy man whose has a panty melting smile. After their one-night stand, Noelle and Erin go on vacation when Erin has a problem. Not knowing if she will ever see Walker again, she resumes her job of a sixth grade math teacher when she gets another surprise. Guess who is student teaching?? WALKER!!

Through out this book, it is Erin and Walker's journey and dealing with a surprise and how it impacts both their lives. I love Erin, but I love Walker more. He is a sweet and gentle guy, when they are not going at it, caring for her when she was scared and hurt. His smile could make a girl's brain go from smart to mush in 5 seconds flat. Noelle reminds me of Jen for Quinn Loftis' Grey Wolves series. Both will hurt anybody who comes between her love ones and both talk about sex openly!

Erin really grows up in this book. She knew what she wanted in life, but didn't find it in Robert till after he cheated. She found it in Walker when he didn't, no pun intended, walk away. It is an compelling story about how surprises can lead you to the one your meant to be with. Of course there are ups and downs, every relationship has them, but this down was a twist in Erin's head. The woman Robert cheated with is a family member of Walker. I won't tell how they are related, but its pretty close!! This is an Adult Romance book, but it is one of the best I have ever read. I can't wait for more swoon-worthly men come around! *mischievous grin*
