きぐるみ防衛隊 3 [Kigurumi Boueitai 3] Reviews

Best one yet! LOVED this one so much. Fennel is my favorite and I loved getting a glimpse into the mysterious life of his partner (I can try and spell his name but i'll fail miserably at it)
ALSO....cliffhanger. Ugh. Which I knew going IN and I still read it. And vol.4 isn't advertised as being released until 2020...great. -
IT JUST GOT REAL

~4 Stars
The beginning of this volume concludes Nobara's plot. The girls on her choir team don't like her, and then when they're used against her, Nobara has to face some realities. After that, we get to know Satsuki better. He has a rather lonely home life, which is helped with Fennel being there.
Aside from that, there was a fun chapter where they all go out shopping together, and we get to see their more casual dynamics. All of this leading up to the cliffhanger, as we're starting to learn that Hakka might be more powerful than she realizes.
I really like the dynamics of the characters. Each couple fits together really well, and I like how the kigurumi are there for their person how they need to be. I really like Satsuki and Fennel, in particular. I enjoy the humor, and the main plot is intriguing, though a little odd. My only wish were that the three main characters were older, because they really act like they should be in high school, and when I'm reminded of the age difference it bugs me. But it also bugs me that it doesn't feel like there should be such a huge gap.
That cliffhanger is rude, and it looks like it's going to be a long while for the next volume, still. I'm not sure why, though, if the authors sick or something, or if it's being discontinued? I hope not, because I really enjoy this series. -
The volume opens straight up with action as the choral competition begins and is soon gate crashed by the bad guys. Comfrey shows up with Lavender and he's actually kind of hilarious for a bad guy and I'm actually hoping to see more of him in future volumes! He could be a fun opponent for the gang!
It's nice to see our trio have bonded and are acting like a team...and friends as they all hang out with Nobara in an effort to make her feel better. It's heartwarming and entertaining at the same time, thanks to all the banter and interactions. This volume shows how close they've become and how well they know each other and I love the friendship between all of them so much!
There's a lot of focus on Nobara as the volume opens up, and Basilico gets a chance to let loose and go full badass. It's the most serious I've seen him so far and it's such a contrast to his usual personality!
Chigaya hints at something to do with Hakka, something Ginger is keeping a secret and I'm trying to work out what it is, but I genuinely have no clue. It's a little thread of mystery running through the plot and then the reveal at the end left me shook!
In actual fact it seems Ginger, Basilico and Fennel are all keeping something from Hakka, Nobara and Satsuki. So there's plenty more mysteries to be untangled in the upcoming volumes and I'm intrigued to see what bearing it'll have on the plot!
We get a glimpse of Satsuki's home life which provided some interesting insight in to his character, as well as showing us some of the relationship he has with Fennel...and more of Fennel in general. He's been the most mysterious so far of the three and I actually felt quite sad for the poor guy. I could really empathise with him and see where he was coming from. His life and character in general just really broke my heart this volume.
The volume starts with action and ends with action as our characters (except for Nobara and Basilico) are in a dire situation, and then we get left on an epic cliffhanger like...is that Hakka?! What happened?! I can't even right now! -
Damn, what a heartbreaking volume! Nobara and Satsuki did NOT deserve any of this! And holy shit, that transformation at the end! What does it meeeeeean?!
Welp, we're never gonna find out (probably) because the series has been put on hiatus for heaven only knows how long, and manga series that are put on hiatus do not always have fairy-tale endings. Even though this may never have a proper conclusion, I would still highly recommend this series. The artwork is gorgeous, the characters are fun, the story is engaging, and it's just an overall fun read! -
Amazing!!
I absolutely love this series! The relationship between the characters is really interesting, I would defiantly would recommend this to readers who love romance and action. -
The plot thickens and we get to know Fennel and co. a bit more.
-
Yet another series on hiatusssss :( that cliffhanger ending though!!! I hope it starts up again at some point. I was really enjoying it
-
Screeching. The bloody cliff hanger 🙃😫🤯
-
Maybe this is getting interesting? I can't tell yet.
-
AHHHHH THAT CLIFFHANGER WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S NO VOLUME 4 AHHHHH (ToT)
(Can't help but wonder if the author doesn't know what's going on either and wrote themselves into a corner LOL) -
A weirdly cute series!

This is getting so good!!! I hate that there's no more in the series right now though..... I NEED to know what happens next.

A solid entry, but a terrible one to leave off on!
The story continues to evolve, but it looks like this series went on hiatus in 2017/2018. Would love to see more!! -
