Lily the Elf: The Elf Flute Reviews
-
This is an adorable little children's early readers book. The story is cute, and I felt that it teaches children that even if things don't work out exactly as we had hoped, there is still a way to accomplish our goals, and to work around obstacles. It shows it's okay to get upset, but to work through the difficulties in our path.

Another book in the Lily the Elf series which could be titled Life Lessons for the Little Ones By lily the Elf. This one has things not working out as you had hoped but keep going. It would be good for parents and children or mentor and child to read these together and discuss them as well as being entertained by the story and images.

Great beginner chapter book for my second grader

Read it with my daughter and we both enjoyed it! Lily gets a flute from her aunt and wants desperately to play it in the talent show but she’s having trouble learning. A cute story about patience and learning to work with what you’ve got.

Excellent choice for first readers. The writing is exceptionally well-plotted for this age. Simple but not babyish. Good characterizations. In this one, the main character wants to perform and comes up with a clever solution to her dilemma. part of a series.
