Aiden Lobo is a graduate student in a world where magic, gods, and demons are part of everyday life. After a terrible betrayal, he is cursed with a Crack in his heart, turning him into a living doorway for an ancient demon of war to come to Earth and kill millions. Aiden is rescued by his guardian angel, who seals the Crack with his own Light. As a servant of the divine, the nameless angel was supposed to kill Aiden to prevent the growing cataclysm inside him. But he loves Aiden too much to end his life, even to save the world.

Aiden falls for his guardian and names him Eskandar, but then learns to his horror that because Eskandar was created for him, when Aiden dies Eskandar will too. Aiden will do anything to keep his beloved angel safe. But with no choice except to sacrifice himself to prevent the apocalypse, he only has one option: a terrible betrayal of his own.

Aiden's Angel Reviews

This was fun! Great cast and a fun world with goblins and Dark Things and bloody annoying weirdos who want to sacrifice themselves for the bad guys.

Loads of action and dying-but-not-dying :)

I chose you. You’re mine. My life is yours.

    Hmm...maybe it's just me...
I didn't get the story very well, there's something I didn't catch very well in here.

At first, I thought it's stand alone, but then when I read it if start to felt that some part went blurry here and there. So, I thought maybe it's part of any series, a spin-off or something, but no....this book definitely stand alone. And....I just can say "Oh!"

The next thing that makes me frown is...angel-human-love-story concept. Maybe my "un-logic" brain still can not accept the concept.

So, if any of you found this story interesting enough and like it. Maybe it is that good, but I'm sorry... It's not working for me.
Again maybe it's just "me" thing.

Last, but not least, the ending...
    Seriously, just "like that" ?

Oh, by the way, see the line I quoted above?
That one of quote I love the most from this book. But too bad, not with the story...

The premise is great, and I loved the beginning, but as the story developed into its second half the same scenario began to repeated itself as the characters moved from one location to another. It turned what should have been a dramatic climax into a cumbersome series of events. Despite a noticeable lack if details, the ending made me happy, and I'm glad I finished it.

That was a really good book, I enjoyed a lot

Let me start by saying that I agree whole-heartedly with the folks that give this book 2 stars.

Aiden lives in a world of magic. Bad magic has been banished and only "good magic" prevails. Aiden has a friend, Cassandra, who lives with a couple of other guys. (It happens that Aiden has the hots for one of her roommates named Tanner.). Well, it ends up that Tanner is a bad guy who wants to bring bad magic and chaos back into the world. It happens that if Aiden dies or a crack is made in Aiden's heart, the evil magic will come flooding back.

Aiden had no idea that Tanner is a bad guy, and he accepts a walk home with an escort by Tanner. On the walk, Tanner gives Aiden a poisoned bottle of water that paralyzed Aiden, and allows Tanner to make Aiden ready for the evil to come flooding back.

Aiden's guardian angel, Eksander (a.k.a Alexander) along with an armada of guardian cats (don't ask me where the cat thing came from), attack Tanner and a lot of little goblins who are trying the kill Aiden so that evil demons can use Aiden's dead body as a portal into the "good world" to kill 200 million people. The guardian angel holds off the demons; and, two of Aiden's friends, Cassandra and Greg, are able to find his severely injured body to get him medical attention. The two friends believe that Tanner actually tried to save Aiden from the attack rather than being the cause of it, and they are speculative when Aiden explains what occurred. These two friends doubt Aiden's story and force him to retrace his steps later in the story which puts their lives in mortal danger.

Aiden's body is healed in the hospital, but there is a "crack" in his heart that has to be sealed or the demons will be able to come through to cause havoc. The guardian angel uses all of his power to heal the crack in Aiden's heart, but admits that he will not be able to hold off all of the demons alone: and if the demons get through, they will kill Aiden, his guardian angel, and 200 million people.

There are many more attacks by the "darkness" against Aiden, and Eksander saves him from all of them. The effort, however, caused Eksander to become incredibly weak, and it appears that only true love can heal a sick guardian angel. So there is a lot of kissing and hugging to demonstrate the love between Aiden and Eksander. I found it quite disturbing when Aiden had sex with his guardian angel: that just seemed completely wrong -- somehow, I never fathomed that it was a good thing to have sex with a guardian angel.

The book slogs along, and then there is the penultimate battle with the agents of the "bad guys". I won't say how the battle ends, except to say that unfortunately the main character and his guardian angel survive so that there is a terrible possibility of a sequel to this story.

This is the type of mystical story that I normally like. But it is a very slow read with a lot of repetitive plot lines. There is something missing from the story that prevented me from being drawn into the plot, and I simply did not believe too many of the characters' responses to particular situations. I agree with people who give this story only 2 stars. I tended to find the story aggravating and and the characters' responses to particular situations to be unbelievable. Add my review to the 2 star brigade.

This is a fast paced, low steam, full of magical novel. The smexy times are more suggestive than actualized, but still very nice. The love is sincere and sweet.

The bulk of the story is Aiden fighting against the evil forces that are trying to come out through a gateway opened in his heart. Everywhere he turns, people he trusts are turning against him. Only his guardian angel and sidekick are completely trustworthy but the answers they give – he doesn’t want to hear.

I really enjoyed this, even without tons of hot sex, and think that those of you looking for adventure and sentimentality will like it as well.

    4.5 stars!

I really liked the world building in this book and although there wasn't a proper introduction to all the magic stuff happening in this world, the snippets of information was surprisingly enough to make out what was happening (without having to read lengthy explanations).

As much as I loved the concept of what was happening, the only drawback was really the length of the book. I would have preferred more in depth interactions between Aiden and his angel as in this case it turned to love pretty fast (on Aiden's side especially so soon after that betrayal). Though also due to the length of the book, the action was very fast paced and gripping.

There were many quick twist and turns in the book with some surprises and overall, it was a rollercoaster of events. I wasn't sure how that HEA was going to happen at first but the ending did not disappoint.

Aiden’s Angel is a quick action packed story featuring angels, demons, witches, goblins, and magic galore. After a horrible betrayal by someone he trusted, Aiden’s heart cracks and becomes a portal for a demon war. His guardian angel repairs the crack and Aiden falls for him not knowing that Eskandar’s life is tied to Aiden’s, fully. Aiden must make a heart wrenching decision to save the world in exchange for his own life.

Aiden and Eskandar’s love was sweet. Even though there is not a lot sex throughout the story, the angst between the two men is enough to showcase how deeply they care for one another. Each must make a sacrifice to save the other. The author’s world building in the story is unique and filled all a menagerie of characters to keep the reader’s attention and enthusiasm going.

Aiden’s Angel is a good book for the reader wanting an action packed, quirky, and fun paranormal story without a lot of heat.

I LOVED this! The world the author built was so richly detailed The group of friends fighting their way was tight knit and all were well fleshed out.
I really just loved it and hope there is more to come in this world!
