Disparging PNR, in your PNR novel, kinda questionable. :/

  • Lina

This book had a good start but it managed to slowly disappoint me. Minus 3 stars, because I skipped a lot and I was bored.

The second book of the Loved by a Dragon series, the book continues the "romance" (insta-love) of Chloe and Saul. Readers get to see more of the magical world when Saul's (evil) ex shows up on the doorstep and challenges the human.

And that is pretty much it.

Very straightline story. Not much weaving of material. Generic characters (BBF female, loyal servant-friends, evil ex, rich-were-dragon hero, generic-strong heroine) move from distinct scene to scene.

While three plot lines exist - the couple continue to fall in love, dealing with a pregnancy, and the evil ex challenge - none of these really pull a reader in emotionally.

Sex scenes - the language in them, the emotional connection in them. Sigh. The woman got waxed and loves the sensation of Saul touching her "landing strip". It all is just...Sigh.

Me, a couple days after writing the review for the first book in this series: Maybe I was too harsh, maybe it was not that bad but my mood affected my opinion of the book.

Me, now, having finished the second book: This is utterly disgusting, racist bullshit that needs to be sent to the trash can immediately . That's literally where this entire series is going for me.

  • John Piper

    Awesome series!

  • Saruuh Kelsey

ehh, a tiiiny bit cliche and not as good as the first book but I still liked it.

  • Hailey

A better, more interesting book than the first one. Harmless, and a fun. A bit comical with the sex scenes, but enjoyable enough for (very) light reading.

  • Kayla

Gawd, this chick was hot and cold throughout this entire book with this pregnancy, lol. I wanna say I liked this part better than part 1.

  • Samantha

I absolutely loved this book a strong female character willing to risk it all for those she loved and what she wanted.

    DELIGHTFULLY DRAGO-LICIOUS !!!
What an absolutely delightful dragon tale! Mated by the Dragon is the second book in the amazing Loved By the Dragons Series by Vivienne Savage. After reading Saved by the Dragon, the first book in this exciting series, I was totally hooked. I eagerly awaited this release. This series is my first time reading Ms Savage's work and I must say, I'm definitely impressed. The story is thrilling, imaginative, humorous, sweet, romantic and arousing. The dialogue is exceptionally well written and well edited. The characters are fascinating, captivating, engaging and sexy as sin. And who doesn't love sexy dragons, right? The second book picks up immediately from the end of Book One so we already know that Chloe Ellis met and fell in love with dragon Saul Dragonstone while away for a weekend rock climbing. Chloe has decided to leave her home in Texas and move in with Saul in his opulent home just outside Los Angeles. Once Chloe got rid of her ex-boyfriend, she thought it would be smooth sailing for her and her new love. What she never anticipated was a jealous dragon ex-girlfriend and a Dragon Council unwilling to recognize her as Saul's mate. Oh my! Buckle up my lovelies! It's a wicked, wild ride! Handsome, sexy dragon who owns a movie studio-check! Beautiful human heroine who refuses to bow down to dragons-check! Dragons, Djinn, bear shifter, dog shifter and a snarky, sassy, loyal best friend-check! Danger, drama, evil ex-girlfriend, cat fight...I mean dragon and dragon slayer fight, and a magical sword-check! Heated attraction, fiery passion, heartbreaking angst, sweet romance, a Vegas wedding, an unexpected surprise and some dreamy sex-you bet! That and a whole lot more! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Holy Dragon Scales!!! (flails) I swear this one is MUCH more intense than book 1. Ha. I love Dragons.. Dragons, Dragons, Dragons!! Saucy, hawty beasts, a pissed off human and a dual.... its all kinds of FUN!

Once again we meet up with Saul and Chloe. Adjusting to a new way of life with her dragon and the cub on her belly is all still taking some getting used to. And now, there is a new problem to deal with. Saul's ex-bitch of a dragon, Brigid decides now that he has a mate and is happy that it's time they mate and bond themselves to one an other.

Brigid doesn't seem to get the whole "I'm mates now to my wife talk Saul tries to give her. She's one of those holier than thou people. What the spoiled brat of a dragon wants she gets... until now.

Saul knows she is sneaky but it's not until an official "challenge" is offered that things go from being crazy to out of control. Chloe is one pissed off soon to be mama bear and won't back down from the she-bitch. Saul starts calling in allies. People he can trust and understands what is going on.

His friend Tao comes in from Mexico, as do other dragons. His parents friends and older dragons that are there to support Saul and Chloe.

In the end it comes down to the pregnant human, against a fire breathing she-beast. The only protection/help Chloe has is he dragon blade, Ascalon. In a face off one can only cross their fingers, pray and hope things ends well for the human. Will Chloe make it out alive or will Brigid win and get to have Saul.

Mercifully it is finished...I don't like the taste of artificial sweeteners...Chloe and Saul were pure saccharine and I was sickened pretty much by every page. It was so hard for me to finish this book with the constant reminders of how bad Chloe's mother mistreated her and Saul spineless bending to Chloe's every whim. I thought it was kind of cute in the first book but it was desperately overdone in this one. The battle between Chloe and Brigid wasn't the smackdown it should have been. Instead it was over before it began. The supporting characters: Saul's friends, Watasumi, Thor, Felix, Vasuki, Nefertiti and even Teotihuacan were somewhat interesting but their appearance in the story was all too brief and they were not well defined. Marcy is irritating as well in this story. I didn't mind her in the first book, but like Saul and Chloe, it's overdone in this one. This book is overly predictable and not well written with numerous grammatical issues. This sophomore effort lacks the intensity and fun of the first book. On my Were Scale of Hotness, 2 stars.

I liked this second installment of Chloe and Saul's story. It was a tad predictable, okay, a lot predictable, but I enjoyed their continuing whirlwind romance. The conflict with Chloe's rival was not sappy and angstsy (that's not a word, is it? It should be.) It was two people growing stronger through their unification against a common foe. I could see two desirable resolutions to that conflict, and I think Ms. Savage went with the easier one. But since this book isn't meant to be a heavy, thought-provoking tome, the choice was fine, and made for an entertaining read.

Chloe's fiery nature and Saul's laid back, caring nature are just what I like to read. Feisty doesn't have to equal dumb or bitchy, and strong doesn't have to equal an asshole. They are a great couple.

I liked secondary characters Marcy, and Liev and Mahasti, too. (I'm also reading Liev and Mahasti's story, and enjoying it.) I think Marcy's story with Teo should be very interesting.

  • Racy

I loved this first book in the series and truly loved this one as much. I found it very interesting to see Teo in the book as one of the characters and then it click who Marcy truly was. *smirk* There will be some characters you will fall in love with and some you will truly hate. Like I truly hated Brigid and Maximilian.

Cleo is now mated to Saul. Cleo must make a decision whether to live in Saul’s home or have him come and stay with her in Huston, Texas. Either way she has something she would have to tie up in Huston. Cleo is face with somethings that she feels could cause Saul to run away from her. She needs to find away to tell him her secret. Can their relationship survive?

I am so in love with Saul. He is this perfect man. He love Cleo so much and would lay down his life for her if needed. There are somethings he comes face to face with that could destroy and take Cleo away from him forever. Can they survive the danger they must face?

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Vivienne Savage. This is part 2 of Loved by a Dragon series by the author.

Chloe and Saul are enjoying life together and he even met her dad. Hormones are getting out of control with the news of a little 1 on the way. But when a bitter vengeful female dragon enters the picture and causes problems Chloe must fight for her unborn child and for her mate/husband Saul.

The author wrote a dramatic conclusion to this book set in this book. Love, revenge, hatred are in the story lines of this story. This has great character interaction and story line flow to it.

This is for any mature paranormal romance book lover. This is book 2 and should be read after book 1 since it starts where 1 left off.

  • Ana

I absolutely loved this combination of Modern day and old time fantasy!

Chloe is enthralled by her Dragon, she has never felt more loved and cherished as she does, but she will have to face challenges she never thought possible for her.

Saul has found the best gem for his hoard and he plans on keeping her forever.

I didn't read the first book of this series, but I didn't have to because the author made sure to mention bits of what happened in the first book, therefore I knew exactly what was going on and loved that she had the forethought to do this. In other words this book can be read as a standalone.

Lots of Passion and loads of love!

I was gifted this book for an honest review.

Loved, Loved Mated by the Dragon. Who wouldn’t want their very own hot hunky dragon shifter. I loved Saul and how he was just so there for Chloe. Saul continues to surprise Chloe and be open with her. Chloe’s world is expanding by leaps and bounds. She is learning a lot including things about herself. Both Chloe and Saul have a small but strong group of friends that are as close as family. As Saul’s mate, she is presented with challenges and the book brings these challenges to a stellar conclusion.

This is the second in the series and I hadn’t read the first. I probably would have gotten more out of the book if I had read the first, but I didn’t miss anything by starting with this one.

I read this book in one evening because I couldn't put it down.
Chloe is back and she takes Saul, her dragon shifting boyfriend, to Houston with her to see how he fits in her life. Because we all know if the man in your life is cool with your friends, most times he is a keeper!
But can Chloe deal with a woman from his past? And what can she do about the other dragon shifters that don't look too highly on humans?
Again, the writing was great, super hot sex scenes, awesome fights, and dragons. Who could ask for more?
I hope there are more books in the series, as I have fallen in love with Chloe, Saul and everyone else!

This is the perfect weekday after work book, or at the beach book or weekend book! It is fun, sexy and short. Long on story and I really like the characters. Saul -- I would like one of him please! Chloe reaction to Saul being a dragon was absolutely perfect.

The descriptions of some of the areas they visited were spot on. I have stayed at a hotel mentioned and she does a great job in putting me back in those locations. Remembering Galveston Island the way it actually is. Perfect.

The author knows her readers and did a great job giving the readers what they want a fun sexy romp.

Congrats to how much you have accomplished in the last year. Please take a bow. You deserve it.

Wow a really exciting read, I'm loving the dragon shifter world and I have to say Saul and Chloe and great together. Their story continues with new threats, new friends, amazing news, lots of angst and of course hot romantic sex. This story has lots to offer and I'm loving it. The story, plot and writing are good. The characters are amusing, and the idea is great. I would recommend to shifter lovers, of all breeds.

  • Kim

    Better than the first book

I gave the first book a 3 because the author wasn't as skilled a writer in that story. I gave the second book a 4 because this story was better and the writing has improved. My biggest complaint is the ending was too abrupt. The characters have grown and are not quite as on dimensional and the story hold your interest much better. Improved read.

  • Marie J

    Short But Great!

I really liked it. Sure it was very predictable, the ending a bit too swiftly done but still a great read.

I do love Chloe and Saul. They are just so right together. Marcy is a delight so, naturally, I can't wait to read her story.

Also, I really found the very last lines of the novel clever.

  • Kevin

I enjoyed this book more because I already knew the characters. It has more drama, more action and more family and friends than the first book. Male dragon and human woman have mated and have to fight to stay together.
Typo: (Kindle "Loved by the Dragon" edition) "poured" is used when "pored" is meant.

  • Terry Sasada

I was real happy with this books take on dragon legends and their interaction with the human race, Saul and Chloe really have their hands full in this book, and Saul discovers who is real dragon friends are, and Chloe is in for the fight for her life and that of her unborn child. Chloe must prove she is the rightful mate to Saul with a fight to the death.

  • Betty

    Absolutely Fabulous!!!

Engaging throughout the entire story with characters that jump off the pages into something fantastic. Absolutely love this wonderfully enjoyable reading. So ENJOY it too!!!
