The channeled literature of Paul Selig -- who receives clairaudient dictation from unseen intellects called the Guides -- has quickly become the most important and celebrated expression of channeling since A Course In Miracles rose to prominence in the 1970s.
Selig’s three previous books -- I Am the Word, The Book of Love and Creation, and The Book of Knowing and Worth -- have won a growing following around the world for their depth, intimacy, and psychological insight. Now, Selig embarks upon an extraordinary new trilogy on the “Teachings of Mastery” with his inaugural The Book of Mastery .
The Book of Mastery provides a deeply practical prescription for heightening your abilities, aptitudes, and sense of personal excellence. The Guides’ teachings go much further, however, instructing you how to improve life for others and, ultimately, for global humanity.
As the Guides themselves put “We will tell you No one who reads these books will be left unchanged. They will be like molecular systems that reinvigorate and realign and reclaim the reader to themselves in their worth, in their identity and, beyond that, in their physical realm. Underline physical realm if you like. Because the physical realm that we teach in is about to go back to the stone ages unless you all get it together.”
The Book of Mastery: The Mastery Trilogy: Book I (Paul Selig Series) Reviews

For the past 25+ years I’ve had a keen interest in the topics of personal and spiritual growth, and as a result have read numerous titles in each category. This book, which is definitely spiritual in nature, was sent to me by a long-time friend, as she felt that its contents would resonate with me. She was indeed correct, as I found this book to be fascinating in many respects. The information shared by “the guides” was eye-opening to me in many respects. One thing in particular really slapped me upside the head, which is captured best by this passage from the book:
"Now we say these words to you intentionally: The requirement for change at this level of incarnation is to bless all that you see. Hear these words: What you bless, you lift; what you damn, what you curse, you cast out. Now when you cast something out, you align it to the darkness and there has been a teaching that things should be cast to the darkness for the good of all. But what is cast to the darkness grows in force, and the intention of the darkness, as you understand it, is to cast a shadow to preclude the light, to stand in its own defiance. When you lift something to the light, you give it the opportunity to heal. When you cast something into the darkness, you actually give it power. So the intention to damn anything you see, to put it outside of God, is actually to empower it. Blessing all that you see, even when it disguises itself in great fear, will support you in aligning to the light that will dispel the darkness."
That is a powerful teaching in my view, one that has clearly shifted my perspective on this world and how I intend to conduct myself within it going forward. With that said, I also want to make it clear that I’m not suggesting this is some new authoritative spiritual text that everyone must look to for guidance. It is up to individuals to decide what is "true"” for them and what does not resonate with them. In my case, I gained a lot of value from this work and I really do feel that many others with a metaphysical orientation would likely feel the same way. With that clarification in mind, I highly recommend this book as a spiritual growth resource. -
This was a powerful, thought provoking read. I had to take it slowly and highlighted so many passages. It seems like the passages repeat often, but it's done deliberately as, at least for me, it takes time to wrap one's head around the meaning and let it sink in. Not that it's a difficult read, it is not. It's simple really and it resonates within, like we should know this already and actually we kinda do. So that took time for me. The message comes shining through. Though I would guess it's not for everyone. But for those open minded folks on a spiritual journey, Paul Selig's books are worth seeking out in my humble opinion.

I have followed Paul Selig's work since the first time I saw him speak on a YouTube video in early 2013. I knew instantly that this was the real deal. People report that the energetic work being done as they read these books is very palpable. I will attest to that as well. If you are committed to your own growth, I strongly suggest that you not miss any of these texts. This was the best for me, but then of course each one builds upon the last.

The Book of Mastery: The Mastery Trilogy: Book I I am currently and earnestly evaluating the message of this Channeled book. I listened to an audible book with Paul Selig doing the narration and listened while riding a bus from Newark, NJ to Miami, FL was a golden opportunity to listen to a book; I get motion sickness reading in a moving vehicle (. . . do I hear a . . . me too!). I thought I had picked a Mystery book. Mystery . . Mastery. Hey, I picked and missed an AM flight for a PM flight and was consistently off target that weekend. Add to that . . . I think channelling is a crock. Yet, after the first 15 min. (I couldn't change the book in the bus, wi-fi doesn't really work that well there) I was hooked and finished the book before I got to Miami. Now I am in full vetting mode.
So, if you are a constant-improvement type always looking for greater value and even if you think channeling is a crock . . . check this book out.
More to come but I've got to get ready for work. -
I've been on the path of spiritual exploration since I was 22. I have always been drawn to channeled information but it had been some time since I read anything that really resonated with me. This did. This a is spiritual self-realization master class and be ready to have your vibration kicked up a few notches! I am already into the next book and eager to see what the third of the trilogy will be about. If you have dabbled in a course in miracles, have read any of Emmanuel, Ramtha, Seth, etc. you will enjoy this.

This book is quite repetitive and mentions a number of different affirmations.
I know who I am, I know what I am, I know how I serve. I am Word through all that I see before me. Word I am Word. I am here.
There are some good wisdom here and there but I found the overall book uninspiring and dry. -
Cannot honestly explain the "why" of it...just that this book frequently moved me to tears. The words are so simple yet meaningful. I trust the consciousness that channeled this book through Paul is telling the truth and that perhaps is why it moved me so.
I would recommend this to someone who is a little farther along on their spiritual journey. -
This book was a lot more accessible and easier to digest then the Seth material.
Highly recommend it for people interested in channeled texts and spiritual growth. -
Mind-blowing. Inspiring. Wonder-full.

A poor and unsatisfying attempt
(I'm writing a lengthy review because I read this book based on the high quality of reviews on Amazon. I was thoroughly disappointed, and the below is why.)
The stated goal of this book is to teach me how to align my conscious self with my True Self, the divine version of myself that has always, and will always exist. In doing so, I will be able to shake off my fears and live a life at my full potential of love and ability guide others.
I came into this book with a truly open mind and wanted to find wisdom that could help me be a more loving, grateful, generous, and curious human being. Instead this felt like a pep talk repeating platitude after platitude about shedding fears and finding your True Self—a central theme which The Guides did not take the the time to define in their 500 page tome.
The book also fails to address:
* What is Truth? What are some properties of truth that an ordinary person can identify? If I wanted to tell Truth from not Truth, how?
* What is the Divine Self? Does its energy, vibration, or frequency correspond at all to the ways i’ve been using these words to describe physical phenomena all my life? If not, what are those things, and how do I know they exist, and how to measure them? Do I just “feel it”?
* Why did this book come out now if these teachings are timeless? How does it build off of or challenge existing ways of thought, such as the world's major religions, moral systems, or methods of finding enlightenment?
* Why is fear bad? I'm scared of hurting other people, being unjust, or limiting someone else's freedom they my actions. If I act out of fear of those, am I not aligned with my True Self? Which fears are OK and which aren't? Why? And why is fear the defining emotion rather than shame, anger, etc?
The failure to address these types of questions makes this book fairly flimsy compared to other spiritual works that do compellingly address these—and much bigger—questions.
Even taken as a work to read simply for pleasure, for some interesting ideas rather than Enlightenment, this book falls short. It's repetitive, uses unnecessarily complex language, trivial examples, and most of all preachy—all while cloaking itself in a pretense of "love" and "gifts".
If spiritual wisdom and an a more empowered life is the goal, some books that are 10x more enlightening:
* The Righteous Mind - why we have morality and practical ways to build empathy
* Waking Up - What Enlightenment is on a spiritual and scientific basis, and how to reach it
* Designing Your Life - How to think clearly about your passions and goals and build a life around them
* The Code of the Extraordinary Mind - How to systematically challenge your beliefs and build life more aligned with what you really want -
Mastery has begun!
This first book of the two-book Mastery series is wonderful. This book of Mastery presents some fascinating new insights to our truth as beings of light, aspects of the Divine. Read it. Practice it. Assimilate the truths here and allow them to supersede the "small learning" of the "small self" that all of us have from our experience thus far in life. Be ready to grow rapidly as you accept the truth of who you are, who you have always been. Step into your truth and become the example for a thousand others. Namaste. -
The piercingly fundamental teachings compelled me to take a thorough look at what I believed could, or could not, show up in my life as well as what I am participating in the creation of on a larger scale.
Here is the interview with Mr. Selig after I read the book.

I loved this book!
-
Ego Free
This is a loving and gentle step-by-step guide to releasing the ego and stepping into the expanded divine self . -
One of the best books I've encountered! Simple yet profound. A text to be read over and over again, and a book to be held closely for continued enlightenment.
-
Wow. Unbelievable. Simply divine.

Challenging!

This is sort of one of those aha books. It has somewhat the same material as the A-H stuff, but it's presented very differently. I found that I had to be reading for a little while to get into the groove (maybe tuning) to absorb what was written. It was especially interesting to read this book and then listen to an A-H seminar. They compliment each other very well often making the same point, but in very different ways. While it would seem to me that the best Channeler would be an open one, the author here seems to have a lot of concerns and anxieties. I admit I found that a bit weird, but it didn't seem to get in the way of the information. However, it's my belief that whoever is the channeler has some influence on what comes out since it comes through their physicality. How much of an influence that is on the material is hard to say. This is the first of a trilogy and I admit I'm looking forward to what comes next. There are three books that come before this one. I will go back and see what information they contain. I'm always appreciative of a book that re-focuses me on my own spiritual journey, and this book most definitely did that.

Tried, but couldn't bear with the inflated and complicated language used in the book. Made me feel like a common, average person held hostage in a meeting of C-level officers of a large corporation. So many "big" words, repeated over and over again. Too many meaningless mantras. Too many answers to questions I never asked myself, at least not in such a heightened-state way.
Jesus is mentioned a lot, and yet when I remember his teachings, described in gospels, he always used common language so that people could easily understand his metaphors, and thus messages. Too bad this divine source of knowledge didn't take a page out of Jesus' book.
Call me "simple", but I got so much more value out of
Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires or any other of the Abraham Hicks teachings. They truly hit home with me and never made me feel as insignificant as The Book of Mastery managed to in just a few dozens pages. -
It is a gift from the Universe
For several years, I have been undergoing an intense transformation into Higher Consciousness. People, places and things would appear in my life at the exact time that I needed them. And that is what happen when a friend suggested I read the first book, by Paul Selig, I AM THE WORD. I was instantly caught up in the spiritual philosophy of the book not because it was new to me but it expounded the teachings of the Yogic philosophy of India. It is so closely aligned with the teachings of Yogananda-Self-realization. However, The Book of Mastery has its own unique way of blending the old with the new and the spiritual with the science. It also reminds me of the Seth books by Jane Roberts with rich nuggets of spiritual insights. Highly recommend this book to understand it’s time to let go of intellectualizing the teachings, but make them a constant inner realization. I AM WORD. -
The message the book is conveying is absolutely fantastic! But the grandiose language is incredibly annoying (If not for the audiobook I doubt I would have gotten past page 10).
It reminded me of 17th Century literature, which is God awful.
I’d give it 1-2 stars for that….BUT, (for me) everything harkens back to the message/meaning behind something and since this book delivers a great one, it gets ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
And the narrator sounds JUST like “Now YOU have a friend in the diamond business.” -Tom Shane
So if you like that you’ll love this. -
Despite this book being repetitive, it is definitely a treasure of information for the human race. If purpose, spirituality and soul work is your cup of tea then this is most definitely a book worth reading. I look forward to reading book #2 in this series. Pauls dedication to his work is to be applauded. 🙏

Life changing! intense read, requires thought and concentration but it can/will change your thinking and your life if you are open. I consider all the books in this and the previous series to be great study/reading for continued mind expansion and growth. Highly recommend!!!

This was not my style of positive self help motivation book. This is where the "spirits" talk through someone sharing their information to us from some where out there. Its positive and supportive and filled with "ultimate truths for all time" but just not my style.
