While the art is always stunning these short stories are very hit and miss.

I have a soft spot for this comic purely for the art. The use of color and linework is amazing. However, there is so much misogyny packed into these short stories I couldn't bring myself to give this book a good rating. The women (well, they're dolls, as the comic likes to remind us, and therefore aren't "women" or "people") in this are constantly groped, assaulted and raped, among many other things. The artwork gives us many upskirt shots, lots of boobs (the anatomy gets baaaaad in a lot of the works) and fetish outfits. One of the dolls in the first story is a "goth loli" model, and they mean "loli" in the worst way, as she is made to look childlike while intended to be a sex slave. I couldn't help but notice the guest artists were all men (unless I missed someone) and it shows in how the dolls are presented to the viewer.
On a writing level, there's also a lot of confusion. The stories are disjointed and it took me a little bit to understand that there is a main character (Noa) present in every story. Basically, this isn't worth the read except for some of the truly gorgeous works of art. -
First volume of short stories about Noa, the protagonist of the Sky Doll series, in which we learn some things about her past, more precisely about her past jobs. The artwork is done by several authors and the stories are written by Barbucci or Canepa. I think it's a quite enjoyable reading and it can be read without the main volumes.
Primer álbum de historias cortas sobre el pasado de Noa, donde veremos algunos de los trabajos que desempeñó antes de conocer a los chicos. Se puede leer independientemente de la serie principal así que sirve como un buen acercamiento a ella.
