You'd think after a hundred or so titles the folks at DK would run out of ideas for new Lego books. Fortunately for Lego fans and builders, that's not the case. Here we have another in their series of Lego Ideas books. This one is called Lego Awesome Ideas, and it's well, awesome.

This bright and colorful hardcover includes nearly 200 pages of new ideas and projects for Lego builders to take on. The book is broken into five sections - Outer Space, Modern Metropolis, The Wild West, Fantasy Land and The Real World - and each section has lots of fun builds. Now it's important to mention that this book doesn't have step-by-step building instructions like you'd get in a Lego set. They break down the ideas into 4-6 larger steps and show you new ways to look at old bricks. I'd put the target age at 10-12, but it's such a gorgeous book that kids (and adults) of any age will enjoy looking at it. There are also plenty of humorous minifigure comments throughout.

When it comes to Lego, you can never have enough inspiration, and DK's Lego Awesome Ideas book has plenty of that. Whether the builder is an imaginative kid or a veteran AFOL (Adult Fan of Lego), there's a lot to enjoy here. Happy building!
