The Green Witch Tarot Reviews

I love this Tarot deck. Ann Moura is so smart and her teachings are loving and kind. The imagery in this deck is sweet! But there is also the wise woman/crone woman aspect to the teachings also. Earth based, connected to the seasons and rooted in heritage and tradition, I find myself learning so much from this deck and Ann Moura's tarorist concepts.

I really liked this tarot companion because it had different takes on the cards that I’ve never considered before and I think that’s important, however, some were completely different than the meaning of cards that I have learned thus far so they didn’t resonate completely, but I will take from it what did. The art is beautiful, however, some are a little cringy especially the male faces in a few of the cards, but other then that, chef’s kiss. The 4 stars really comes from how extremely love and light it is. Which is great if you don’t want a deck to drag you to filth but instead wrap you in delusional kisses and warm sun shined filled baths. Life is messy and hard so you’re going to have Tower moments and Devil moments rather then sugar coated Nature & Wildhunt moments. The Major Arcana are named differently then the Waite/Smith deck, which is fine, but I wouldn’t learn on this deck. This deck is great when you need a softer touch and I look forward to using it.

As a tarot guide book, I would say it was wonderful. I love the Green Witch tarot. Each meaning is beautiful, there isn't a lot negative means in the cards. As a Wiccan this book and deck fit me nicely. The cards are based of Wiccan ideas, which is nice. Like for instance,in the major arcana there is the different aspects of the God, along with the Goddess. I just love this deck. The book is great, you get four or five spreads, after each description of the card there's room for you to write notes. What I truly enjoy, is how we are encouraged to make our own descriptions for each card, once we feel comfortable with each card. I would definitely recommend this tarot deck and book.

I don’t really know how to rate this, it has in theory everything that’s needed but I don’t agree with most of the keywords (I find them really narrowed down, among other things) and I don’t get those keywords from the cards. The deck itself reads well, but the book doesn’t really add anything important. Additionally there are a lot of unnecessary empty pages in there and I’m not a fan. The overly positive and heavily Wicca-influenced writing doesn’t do anything for me either. If there was only the book, my rating would be between one and two stars, but since it’s a set, I rated three stars.

I LOVE this tarot deck! This is so well done and the guidebook to go with it is large enough to read (older eyes appreciate this). I always get accurate readings and find that using this deck with people who know nothing about tarot can also get a good feel for what the reading is saying. Excellent deck for new and experienced readers of Tarot.

One of my favorite decks! The art is lovely, which reminded me of my elementary school story books.

Beautiful art work, the interpretations focus on the positive aspects of the cards.
