Blight Digest (Winter 2015) Reviews
-
The Winter 2015 issue of Blight Digest includes thirteen unique horror short stories. From the itch of addiction to a killer sense of curiosity, the reader is transported to dark places where fear and terror rule.
My favorite stories in the collection are "Farewell, Again" by Matt Andrew and "On Dark Wings" by Tony Wilson. As a big fan of Andrew's storytelling style, I was thrilled with his visceral contribution which showcases a man's desire to recapture what is lost by any means necessary. All of Andrew's stories include the kind of details that resonate with the reader and make the story come alive. Wilson's tale about Officer Gin Watson's attempt to start over in the face of tragedy is another must read. -
An exceptionally dark little collection, there are some established names here but mostly folks I wasn't familiar with, so I'm glad I got this. I enjoy finding new writers and these guys didn't disappoint.
