Garfield Vol. 5 Reviews

For the most part, I enjoyed this compilation of comic adventures featuring the Tubby Tabby. After reading the classic strips so many times they've practically become old hat, it's great to have some longer, more convoluted fat cat stories.

However, some of the artwork was ugly, and those meatball villains were creepy. If it weren't for those unfortunate moments, I would give this a higher score.

    Loved it!!!

Some stories were ok but some were really awful. They’re were two awful stories about a Calzone Creature. I don’t understand the fascination with food coming to life but it does not make for a good story. Then there were a few stories where the characters looked nothing like they usual do which always bothers me. If you want to make an original looking character, then make a new comic character. I don’t understand why people feel the need to try the Garfield characters so different when they’re already established in a look. There were a couple stories in this book I did enjoy but overall I didn’t care for this book.

Definitely my favourite volume so far from the series. I loved the illustration styles of the comics as they reminded me of the Garfield books I used to read when I was younger. Oh and Bernal is being cute again!!

    Plumber

I think it's a great idea to use the same over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again in a minutes usurp Italy's rock relic

  • Merik Moore-Vickery

i liked it but i did not like how there was multiple story's in one book.

  • Wanda

Nothing like the classic Garfield I've read for years but ok all the same.
