Persecution (The Days of Noah, #2) Reviews

  • Preacher

Even better than the first book! Love where it left off and can't wait to start the third book tonight or in the morning.

  • Bon Tom

Still good, but it is brutal Christian propaganda after all.

  • Wanda Hartzenberg

First of all, this is not something I mentioned in my first review but I adore the covers of this series. It is really apt once you read the books. Again listened to it on Audible. I enjoy this series especially with all the conspiracies and information locked in to add that one final layer to the story.

Having suffered loss the group is now going through a changing dynamic and they are setting up a barter station. What can go wrong right? Well.... read the book people.

  • Hugo's Mom

    Well, that escalated quickly!

These novels move blindingly fast! Most of my criticisms on the writing style from the first book have been resolved in this one, so no complaints really.

3.5 stars, rounding up to 4 for GR scoring. Looking forward to the last of the trilogy.

Awesome Read, Mark Goodwin is one of the best authors, I have ever picked up to read, I promise you will no be disappointed

I have read all of Mark Goodwin's books, and as I stated he is by far one of the best authors, I have had the pleasure to read. I love the fact he is preparing for some changes in the life as we know, his wisdom and spiritual guidance is so overwhelming. When I read his books, I get so caught up that I actually feel I am in the situation as the characters of the book. When you find a book that intense you can't put it down, it deserves nothing less than a 5 star, I can't wait until book 3 is available, the suspense of the victory is overwhelming. Top salute to your wisdom, your faith in our God and your willingness to share with us Mark, keep up the awesome work, anxiously awaiting Book 3, hurry up

    Great read

What amazes me is how accurate this book might be to what we see coming in the very best future. Just the other day the Chinese stock market almost collapsed, a suppose glitch shut down our own stock market for 4 hours, United Airlines also grounded all of their commercial planes because of a computer glitch not to mention a new undetectable Russian sub was spotted off The coast if California. We are living in prophetic times that are being revealed almost daily but no rotors because the end of the Word of God says we win.

“Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.””
    ‭‭Luke‬ ‭21:28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Another excellent book from an excellent author. His knowledge of current events is right on point. Incorporating things and events that are occurring to people all over America into his story. His knowledge of the elites, occult (meaning hidden), and sociopolitical climates is supperb as well.

I very much enjoyed this installment of the Days of Noah saga, and as usual it end with a cliffhanger. So now I'm impatiently waiting on Part 3.

    Great second book

Nice quick read. The story is well written and nothing left out. The third book is being set up to be great.

  • Cindy

loved it! Fantastic! I highly recommend it. He packs a lot of truth as well as information into this book.

  • Orinks

Slow build-up leads to a satisfying climax.

While at times I wished the book moved faster, I understand the point that Goodwin is trying to make with these books.

One thing I will say about Goodwin’s writing is that he shows pretty much everything, even things that, in most other books I’ve read of this genre, Left Behind included, skip directly to the action. These books are outlining what could be a very real End Times for America, whether it happens like the prophecies say or not. The books are well-paced in a realistic fashion as to make me believe that a national op could be carried out like this, though the people pulling the strings behind Dragon are aiming for the world, we’ve only been sitting on the sidelines as readers to the bigger conflict.

About book 2 specifically, it’s just as good as the first. The book gets a five star rating from me because Isaiah grew on me and I’m looking forward to where his character arc ends up in this next book, and the conclusion to this trilogy.

What an explosion, what an ending. I’m looking forward to reading about this ragtag mix of civilians going up against our government to fight for what they believe in in the next and final book.

Sure you’ve read it done before in other books, but you haven’t read Goodwin’s characters do it. My recommendation still stands: if you’re not into religion, you can still learn a lot on how we can survive something like a national meltdown.

Book 2 of this series follows 2 camps of folks. One group of many individuals in Eastern Tennessee, the other a quartet in Virginia. Premise of this is the weakening of the U.S. dollar, and the government becoming more heavy-handed. "Terrorist" attacks in country affecting law enforcement, power plants, and refinery's are laid at the feet of conservative, right-wing groups.

This author does a good job of prepping folks for rationing food, arms, and other items, when there may come a day something similar happens.

The story is easy to read and engaging, though the writing is not heavily weighted with complex words. Cast of characters on the Tennessee side can be confusing of who is who, aside from the main characters of Noah and his wife and kid.

Still overall a good book, which ends with a cliffhanger, but we know there is a 3rd and final book in this series.

Similar to trilogy books and stories, the middle book is less action and more of a description of motives the catapult you into the action packed finale. This book was the same. Lots of info on why and what happened to cause a reaction. The author does a great job at keeping the intrigue high. He writes about a future that is currently happening. The story causes me to PAY ATTENTION!! I think there are only 3 books, and I hope book 3 brings a satisfying end. But what kind of end will it be? The Rapture? Starting #3 now.

If your looking for a good Christian Fiction book full of espionage, military quest, or political sensations, then read another Mark Goodwin book. This book, while suspenseful, delves into the probable atmosphere of a financial collapse during end times. Regular folk trying to live through it. Definitely good in it own right, just hard to keep track of the characters outside of Noah and Cassie Parker.

  • Robert Chapman

My first review covers the story line of the book. In this second book the grand plan continues to unfold as the noose tightens around society. In response to the circumstances around them, Noah and Everett continue to prepare for the end times.

In spite of the religious backdrop, the way in the which the story unfolds is highly plausible.

    Fantastic Read!

In book one we got to know the characters and situation. In book two we get to know their determination and zeal for living and serving God. Can't wait to see what book three had in store!

  • Lisa McLemore

Good info to back it up!

This book provided lots of information from a historical, Biblical and economic perspective to support the characters and the storyline. The characters are realistic and readers will root for their success.

  • Jonathan Z.

Very entertaining. The first book was better, but this book continues to highlight Christian issues and the world's contrary stance to them. It left off with a major cliffhanger that I hope to see resolved in book #3.

    Book 2 Days of Noah

If you are interested in reading a book that follows the scripture closely and yet offers exciting storylines of characters to keep you interested. I could hardly put this down.

  • Marcus

    Excellent!

I'm really enjoying this series. It feels like we are a stone throw away from experiencing the "realities" depicted in these pages!

  • Jack voorhees

    Good thriller

Mark writes a believable story about the end times. I have read a number of his books. All are high quality.
