The Scarred Prince is only a rumor. A whisper. A shadow. Nobody believes that he really exists, or that he does the things that they say he does: keeping females as slaves and mutilating members of his own pack. He’s just a a character in a story to frighten young cubs before bedtime.
Until now.
Kinaya has spent the last eighteen years living in her twin brother’s shadow. Blaise is always the favorite: stronger, faster, more handsome. The fighter. Everyone says he’ll make a good alpha once his father steps down.
But on the night of their birthday feast, a mysterious warrior arrives, a messenger from a rival pack. He’s stronger and bigger than any wolf Kinaya has ever seen. His message: Surrender, or war.
While her brother prepares for battle, Kinaya slips away to see the captive warrior. As she struggles with her strange attraction to him, she realizes that the only sure way to bring peace to the rival packs will come at a cost - and she is the one who will have to pay the price. But can she marry a brutal conqueror, even to save her pack?

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!
***Received the ebook for an honest review, but I already grabbed my own copy :)
The cover is looks awesome and definitely makes me want to pick it up :)
This is a two part book and each part is novella length. It is around 90ish pages. And yes they are both published….so no waiting!!! YAY!!!
I did not realize that this book is sort of an off-shoot series from The Blind Wolf series. I own this series but haven’t had the chance to read it yet because sadly, I’m not a speed reader….I only wish it because there are so many awesome books I have yet to get to due to time constraints :) Sorry off topic….anyways, I need to read that series soon now :)
I really like Kinaya and love how devoted she is to her pack and preservation of life by avoiding war. She is strong, and I really like her personality. Her brother on the other hand….I guess I’ll reserve judgment, but he needs to be slapped around. I’m not sure what to think about Alekk at this time, but he should definitely be slapped around too!! You will have to read to see if you agree or not because I will not give away the story and ruin your own adventure :) I still have some questions on this world, but I think that is because I haven’t read The Blind Wolf series yet, but nothing too bad that I would say you have to read that series first :)
Where it stops sucks, but thankfully, I can jump straight into book 2 since they published at the same time. Otherwise, I would have been screaming and grumbling, but I’m a happy girl :)
I recommend this book to werewolf shifter readers and especially if you already love Aubrey’s work since I think you will really enjoy this story too!!! -
The cover for this book first caught my attention then I read the synopsis and finally the reviews, the cover's good, the synopsis sounded great and all the reviews are good, plus this is book 1 of 2 and both are available so no waiting.
I do love a good shifter book but I have to say I struggled early on with Kinaya, in fact it was only the reviews that kept me reading since they were all so good, anyway, I have to be honest and say that I didn't really like Kinaya early on, talk about depressing. While I'll admit her brother Blaise is a huge pain and it can't be easy for her seeing him getting everything handed to him she made the first part of the book drag but then once the messenger arrived the book really picked up and I was hooked, the ending is confusing and leaves us with no idea what's really going on and it definitely leaves you wanting more so even though I should be going to sleep I'm going to start the next book. -
I really liked this book though I must admit, the rating of it on Goodreads is so low that I thought I would not. This book has been on my TBR for a while and I have been in a werewolf mood lately so I thought I'd at least give it a shot. And I am glad I did because I highly enjoyed it.
I really liked Kinaya. She was so loyal to her pack and was always trying to do the right thing. Usually, I hate the self-sacrifice trope, but I think that
Aubrey Rose did it in a way that made me care more for Kinaya and made me appreciate her character more. Instead of her decision coming off stupid and rash, Kinaya's decision came off selfless and brave.
I found Alekk intriguing, even though there weren't many scenes with him in it. After the cliffhanger at the end, I am really interested in learning more about his character and I am eager to see where his relationship with Kinaya will go in
Bride to the Alpha.
As far as Kinaya's brother goes, I did not care for him. He was so... childish and he came off very selfish. All her cared about was himself and the power he would get from being alpha. I found his eagerness to get into a war very stupid and I wanted to jump in the book and slap him.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I had not read the previous series before going in so some of the names and events referenced did not make much sense to me but ultimately, it did not matter. I still had a really good time while reading this and I will be continuing the series with,
Bride to the Alpha. -
Review for book 1 + 2.
You know, this story sounded good... on paper... But then I started reading.
Kinaya is the overlooked twin sister of soon-to-be new Alpha of their small, but peaceful pack. She is bord out of her mind. The scariest things she has to deal with are campfire horror stories about the scarred prince - and the fact that her incompetent brother will soon be leading the pack, leaving her in his shadow.
But when a messenger from the feared rival pack actually shows up on their doorstep, demanding a tribute; namely her - or total annihilation, Kinaya finally gets her chance to matter...
So far so good, right? But then book 2 happened...
I'm not going to say much about the plot. only that they are gearing up for this massive war against powerful, seemingly unbeatable and ruthless individuals. And then the war is over almost before it's begun.
Frankly, I suspected my copy was missing a few chapters, but no. To me it feels as if the author grew tired of the story and simply skipped to the end without writing the middle part.
I would definitely not recommend this series, and that is entirely book #2's fault. I give book #2: 1.5 ☆ -
Awesome, I never thought I'd be reading about the twins. I loved this first in the series.
The twins reach their 18th birthday, but Kinaya isn't so excited about it cause her twin Blaize gets all the glory, everything revolves around him.
She is always in the background even though she has a more level head then her twin.
Things don't turn out as everyone expected during the birthday festivities, an unannounced guest arrives with very bed news for the pack.
Kinaya will not sit around and just let her pack down again, she must make it right for them. What dangers await the impetuous Kinaya?
On my way to read part 2 and I can't wait to get started on the continuation of this great story.
I was gifted this book for an honest review.
Kudos Aubrey! -
Kinaya and her brother Blaise are turning 16 in their pack he will be alpha and Kinaya feels as if she has nothing to offer but she is in for a rude awaking and who is the scarred prince and who is Alekk and will she offer herself to the other pack or be with her pack and let her family go to war or run or bring a proposal to be in marriage to the Scarred Prince find this and more when you buy this book and stay tuned to book 2 the Bride which is already live
-
Kinaya has always lived in her brother’s shadow but now The Scarred Prince has arrived promising war and to bring peace she will have to be the one to pay the price in this mesmerizing paranormal romance.
Kinaya always believed the stories were just that, stories to frighten children but not only is he real he’s sent someone with a message – surrender or die and the reader can’t help but get caught up in the story as she goes from the frying pan to the fire while trying to save the pack. The characters are strong, compelling and grab reader’s attention from the very beginning with a vibrancy that has the reader practically feeling the emotions rolling over the characters and the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps readers hovering in expectation with suspense, emotional turmoil and passion.
There is nothing that adds more excitement and drama to any situation than young men and women who are just on the verge of becoming adults and Kinaya and her twin brother Blaise are no different and as danger arrives they both contribute lots of tense excitement to the story. The well written scenes and details capture the imagination and the well orchestrated events ensure that the readers want to know more.
I have to say this story so far has a dark edgy feel that sends shivers of delight down my spine and I can’t wait to find out what happens next especially after that whopper of cliffhanger. -
Kinaya comes across as immature and overprotected in the first half of the book. I wasn’t sure that I would like her at first but as the story progressed her strength of character started to emerge and I started to enjoy her progression.
Her twin brother Blaise I couldn’t get connected to as his immaturity though perfect for his age and the storyline annoyed me. I really tried to like him and give him a break but he needs to mature up some before he should be made Alpha. I do think his character will round out and mature in the next book.
But Alekk the messenger from the Scarred Prince really got my attention. I loved his mysterious character and how he refused to give out any information. There was something so hard about him that it was scary. Yet I could feel he was intrigued with Kinaya and as rough as he was with her I think he was holding back quite a bit from his usual actions.
The ending leads into the next book and creates a need to know how Kinaya and the Scarred Prince deal with her wedding proposition. And even more important where Alekk fits into the scenario.
This book is a quick read and an interesting storyline. I give it 4 stars and am heading over to read the next book Bride to the Alpha.
I was gifted this ARC by the author for an honest opinion

In preparation for the new stories, I reread the Blind Wolf series (which is fantastic). It's not necessary to have read Blind Wolf, but it helps you to understand everyone better. The Scarred Prince is the first of two stories about Kinaya, the daughter in the previous series. It takes place 18 years after Blind Wolf ends. I was very quickly pulled in and couldn't stop reading until Kimi finished both stories. I really enjoyed the update and the opportunity to see how Damien and Julia's pack fared over the years. I will admit to being frustrated with Kinaya a bit, but having been a teenage girl at one point myself, I could understand the way she viewed things. I also wanted to kick Blaise, but that's not unusual for me. The Scarred Prince does have a cliffhanger, but the following book, Bride to the Alpha, is already out. This series is great, and absolutely worth reading!
I received a copy of The Scarred Prince in exchange for an honest review. -
Great story!! Loved catching up with the wolves from Blind Wolf and seeing the twins all grown up.
Blaise is the arrogant and spoiled twin who is next in line for alpha. Kinaya the twin daughter feels like she is being ignored and always cleaning up behind her brother. Their 18th birthday celebration is in progress when a messenger from a rival pack arrives with the message "Surrender or Die" Kinaya has never seen a wolf this strong or one that has such a pull on her. He causes her to doubt all the stories she has heard of the Scarred Prince and as she tries to fight this pull to him as her brother prepares for battle.
Will the battle ensue? Will Kinaya fall into the grip of this stranger? Is the Scarred Prince a rumor? What will happen to the pack? Can they survive a war? All questions that will be answered. -
5 stars
It was a little short but very enjoyable and well written. I loved our hero in this shifter story and the innocent heroine who tries to be strong and stop the war of her pack with a neighbouring one.
The family dynamic is very relatable and following Our heroine as she makes sacrifices and finds herself in very dangerous situations kept me glued to the pages to see what happens next.
This book has angst and darkness to the story which I think complement the story nicely.
Highly recommended -
I was lucky enough to receive this book as an ARC for an honest review.
Aubrey Rose gives her readers what they want and so much more. She has the ability to grab you at the very beginning and doesn't let you go until the very end and even then you are wanting more.
If you are a fan of shifter romance with suspense, turmoil, attraction, want, lies, drams lust and love thrown in, The Scarred Prince is a must read. -
I usually like longer reads, but this one caught my interest. The ending does leave a wondering at the end. I would normally buy the second book, but being that they are so short I can not bring myself to purchase such a short book. All in all it is well written and the narrative hook does entice.
-
Excellent book!
I love how this book introduces you to both sides of the werewolf lives; how being the Alpha's daughter but also the responsible one in the pack. Can't wait to read the rest! -
It was okay
The only reason I didn't give the book any more stars was because I thought the heroine complained too much about everything. I liked the plot though and plan on reading the other books in the series. -
Nice story, don't like the cliffhanger ending.
I enjoyed reading the story, liked it's dark edges, and would have given it a 4star up till the ending. I'm not a fan of endings that resolve nothing and only serve to pull us into the next book.... -
Short and sweet, but left me wanting more.
Shorter then you think its going to be but really addictive to read with it's great storyline and sexy characters ;)
You will be purchasing the following book which will be just as short but still great. -
Really enjoyed it.
It was very entertaining. I can't wait to read the second part of their story so many questions to be answered. But totally love. -
I really enjoyed this story plus it was a fast read!

Scarred Prince
This book was a short read. I do want to read the next book. I am a hard grader and I found this book to be good for readers 18 years and older. -
This was a good read, can't wait to see what happens next.
-
Too slow for me
While this is so good book, I kept hoping that it would take off and become more. Maybe the second book will be better.
