Marriage & Murder ( A Cedar Bay Cozy Mystery- Book 4 )
by: Dianne Harman
This is the fourth book in A Cedar Bay Mystery Series. I want to say that this was my first book to read by Dianne Harman And I really enjoyed it very much. I did not have any problems following the story or the characters. Marriage and Murder is a sweet cozy murder mystery, so grab you something to drink and a comfortable place to sit and read because once you get started you do not want to put it down. We do have a wedding that takes place, and it is a little past due. A murder takes place and Mike the sheriff has his hands full. There are several suspects who could have committed the murder. I was on the edge of my seat several times while reading this cozy mystery. Dianne Harman has done a fantastic job of weaving her story and the characters together. I won this book in a giveaway , and I am so proud I did because now I have a new author and her book to read, thanks Dianne Harman for a great book . Be sure and check out the back of the book for all the good looking recipes .
I was given this book to read for my honest review , which I have given. -
You've gotta pick up Marriage and Murder (Cedar Bay Cozy Mystery Book 4) even if you haven't read the others. Before reading the first in the series, I had never read a 'cozy' mystery. Harman's a master of the down-to-earth style of writing. Her amateur woman sleuth hides hard-nosed curiosity behind her feminine charms. What I really love about the series is the dogs. I am in love with them just like my own puppy. A great who-dun-it with amazing food and wine, twists and turns and good old fashioned American friendliness in a small town setting. Makes me want to retire in Cedar Bay.

From the cover: After a long courtship, Kelly, the owner of Kelly’s Koffee Shop, and Mike, the county sheriff, finally get married. Their honeymoon is cut short when Jesse, the owner of the local wine store called 'The Crush' gets murdered. Why would anyone want to murder Jesse, a likeable and legendary wine expert? There are a number of suspects including his ex-wife, an alcoholic who hates liquor stores, a Mafia hit man, a wealthy French woman, two winemaking brothers, and even his sister. But who did it? Join Kelly, Mike, and their dogs, Rebel and Lady, as they seek to find the killer. Along the way, you’ll find lots of good food and mouth-watering recipes.
This is the fourth book in A Cedar Bay Mystery Series, but the first one I have read. I really enjoyed this book. Even though this was the fourth book it was easy to find and like many of the characters. I don’t feel you need all the background info that you would get if you read the other three first. This is definitely a stand-alone book. The book is a cozy mystery that makes it easy and light reading with some good entertainment-yes a person is murdered, but you don’t get the clear vision of all the blood, etc. with a cozy. This book also included a wedding-where the reader learns the town respects/love the sheriff and his new wife. A great easy read. -
#Book 4 and I'm still loving this cozy #mystery series.
Kelly and Mike get married on Valentine's Day, it's as perfect as it could ever be. Next day, first day of their honeymoon, and they find a dead body! So the next murder mystery for the newly wedded Mr. and Mrs. Reynold's begins. One theme that keeps appearing, advice to each resident Mike speaks to, "if you own a gun, keep it near you". What the heck is going on in Cedar Bay, 4 murders and a year hasn't even gone by yet!
A lot of suspects, a lot of motives, but ending will be unnerving. -
I read this on my kindle. Dianne's books are easy to follow and keep the characters straight. I really enjoy her books. Sometimes I do have to remind myself that it is fiction. I worked in law enforcement and there is a lot in this book that is not how any law enforcement would handle it, but once again it is fiction. I rarely can figure out who dun it in any of her mysteries. I will continue to read on in this series. I've been reading longer and more in depth books, but I love to come back to an easy to follow read or listen with Dianne's books.

This is the 4th in the series. The main characters are Kelly and Mike, her new husband. They get married and everyone had a great time . Then the next day they discover the body of their friend and wine shop owner Jessie. So much for a honeymoon. Mike is trying to figure out who did this and Kelly is helping but before they can't figure it out there is a fire at a new house outside of town. Can they figure this out before anything else happens?

Unlikely Murderer
So far this has been my favorite story! I love how Mike thinks he's in charge.... “I’m the sheriff. These are my cases and you just get lucky once in a while" this cracks me up because Kelly is a riot! How the man hasn't completely lost all of his hair is beyond me but they make an adorable and animated couple~ -
Finally the wedding
I have finally read the book of Mike and Kelly’s wedding and I loved it! I can also tell the writing style between Dianne’s earlier and later writings. The book was good. Loved the characters as always. Wish it was in an audible format. -
Really good reading
Really like the story in this one but it seems to be a continuance of the one before and so on. Mike and Kelly find the bodies but it is a different person in each novel. Ready to see who is killed next. -
Another winner
This book checks all the boxes. It's exciting, filled with problems to solve great love stories, family, friends ,dogs and lets not forget wonderful recipes. Winner -
Good cozy but too soon (Bit of a.spoiler here)
I liked that Kelly and Sheriff Mike finally got married in book four but a murder the day after the wedding?! Too soon! Dianne, you could've at least let them have a long weekend honeymoon...half a day?..awful -
Murder strikes again
Kelly and mike had their wedding and decide to go thank their friend Jessie for helping with the wine and find him murdered. Its hard to quickly solve a murder when you have a lot of suspects. It's amazing how every thing wraps up. -
Marriage and Murder Book 4
Kelly & the Chief get married and before they can go on their honeymoon, they discover a murder. During the investigation Kelly and her groom discover the killer working together in gathering the pieces -
This was a fun read and I'm enjoying the whole series. Can't wait to read more.

Emotional beginning
Before you start chapter 1 have a box of tissues at hand. I rarely get so choked up and cry but this was so well written, I just couldn't help being emotional.
