This book helps little ones count down the last 10 days to Christmas with a suggestion for something special to do on each day. On the last page, with one day left until Christmas, Santa is shown in his sleigh, ready to deliver gifts. Though Miss Muffet does not yet know her numbers, this book provided me with the perfect opportunity to point them out to her in print. It also gave her a concrete way to think about the remaining days until the big holiday arrives. It was also interesting to her that much of what is mentioned in the book - baking, decorating, and wrapping - are things we've been doing too. At two years old, she is probably a little bit beyond books like this at this point, but I'm really looking forward to having it on hand next year when Little Bo Peep is 15 months at Christmastime.
