I planned the perfect proposal. Plenty of lobster, caviar, champagne and--her favorite--tiramisu. The perfect setting. The perfect woman. The perfect everything.
Dad gave me my late mother's engagement ring, platinum and diamonds galore. Shannon wouldn't care if I slid a giant hard-candy ring on her finger instead of a three-carat diamond designed to impress. But my future mother-in-law, Marie, will pass out when she sets eyes on that rock, which will give us two minutes of blessed silence. That woman talks more than Kim Kardashian flashes her naked backside on the internet.
I was going to make it perfect, from the color of the tablecloth to the freshness of the roses. And it was perfect.
Until Shannon swallowed the ring.

5 Billionaire’s Fiancée Stars
I am invested in this series; I can’t tell you how much I love it. It’s a feel good kind of series you can’t help but root for your favorites..
Declan has planned the perfect proposal. But as we know Shannon never makes things simple haha.. that is a nice way of putting it..
Things go aye and you can’t help but laugh, repeat some of the words or saying.. pooo for one.. diamond for two….
Omg the narration!! Zachary Webber people, I love it so much. So happy to have Declan’s point of view through Zachary’s voice.
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.* -
This was written from Declan's perspective and boy does he have a different way of seeing things.

I'd give it a -1 star if I could. This was so crude, everyone was crude, it was so over the top for this reader. The writing was immature, some of the lines read like a 15 year old hormone dripping boys, not an educated businessman, mother, sister, Doctor... everyone was crude. Period jokes from the future MIL, talking about her husband not having the red mustache now that her periods were over- Ewww, and that wasn't the worst wait till you get all the poop talk.
This was a book in my anthology Hilariously Ever After. -
The best book of the series so far.

4.5 Stars
So we finally get Declan's perspective, and it's a lot of fun. Declan fell for "Toilet Girl" big time in the first five books, and now he's ready to make it official. But nothing is ever simple and straight-forward for these two. Absolutely nothing. They really should have an ambulance trailing them at all times.
Now, this one started a little slow. Declan had so much sex-on-the-brain I thought it was going to leak out of his ears. But then the story bloomed and flowed. I loved getting to know Declan - get more of his history, see more of his struggles, and even recognize his shortcomings. At one point I was teary-eyed. I didn't expect that level of depth in the story, and it was lovely. At other times I was laughing out loud. Ok, I was laughing a lot. More than the tears. But I loved that this story had it all.
I continue to love Shannon and Declan. They are so fun as a couple, yet also incredibly thoughtful and sweet. Considering the family weirdness they have to overcome and the fact that they come from completely different worlds, to the point where at times they don't even understand each other, they join two worlds and lives together beautifully. Looking forward to reading more about them in this fun series. -
Why change the brand?
I enjoyed the previous books, they are really funny, Shannon is an endearing heroine, and the supporting cast has great depth. That the author shifts POV in this last novel doesn't work for me. It's well established that Declan adores Shannon but he can be an ass. In this novel, the asshood comes through loud and clear. Because although the books are raunchy, (but not crudely so) I found it so disappointing that Declan is so focused on sex. I felt like telling him to grow up. Trying to coerce Shannon into having sex at work because he's been away for three days, when she makes it plain that she doesn't want to cross the boundaries she has set came across less as lover like and more like the "manwhore' he used to be. A man who can't keep it zipped. Although his proposal did him proud. One other disappointment was that Jessica never got her comeuppance. That thread that ran through 6 books just petered out. On the plus side, Jason and James come into clearer definition and there are interesting back stories revealed. -
4 Everything ends in the ER Stars
This is the sixth installment in the Shopping for Billionaire series and is told by Declan's POV. It was a little different but still as enjoyable as the others in the series. I must say I really enjoyed hearing it it from Declan's view and would love to see dual POV with this series.
I continue to love Shannon and Declan. It continues on from previous books and if you haven't read them yet, you really need to get on that. In Shopping for a Billionaire's Fiancee, Declan proposes to Shannon but nothing seems to go to plan.
With Shannon If something can go wrong it will and this is no different. It was jammed packed with hilarious laughs a minute and cringe worthy scenes. I lost count of the snorts that came out of me while reading this book! Definitely a must read from me and I plan on continuing with the series as soon as I can.

The time has come for our hero and heroine to take the next step. So our hero gets his mother's priceless engagement ring from his dad and plans the perfect date to pop the question. Unfortunately the answer is the emergency room.
Excellent romcom! -
Sigh. I DNF’ed this book once and gave it another chance. The main character had the emotional depth of a teaspoon until about halfway through. The scene in the graveyard and the family brawl in his dad’s office were the best parts in the book.

This was written from Declan's perspective and boy does he have a different way of seeing things.
This book had a lot more heart in it that the earlier books. Especially Marie and Declan at the cemetery. Marie really shined and showed her strength there. Then there was her confrontation of Declan's dad. That was all momma bear and I loved it. The hilarity that came afterward was priceless. Then there was the Period Errand and the Asshole Boyfriend Summit! I Lol'd cause I have been that girl calling for ice cream and Chinese for me and my girls.
Declan's planned proposal was so beautiful, but really, he should have planned for something to go wrong. He has been dating Shannon for a year and a half, you would think he'd be prepared. My heart broke for him and all his wasted preparations. And yet another trip to the ER for he and Shannon and the ensuing #poopwatch. His second Proposal at MOMA was so beautiful. It was perfect. I may have shed a tear or two.
My absolutely favorite thing about this series is that no matter what ridiculous situations the characters found themselves in, it never felt forced or fake. It always felt organic and natural to the characters, the story and the series. The story was fresh and fun, the characters were well thought out and had amazing dialogue. The authors use of pop culture and internet references kept the story current and gave it an additional layer of humor. This was the first time reading Julia Kent's work, and it will not be my last. If you are even contemplating that maybe you might want to read this series, I say go for it! You will laugh you as off and not regret it at all. -
Shopping for a Billionaire #6 (Declan POV)
After reading five books by Shannon's point of view this book is really frest with the thoughts of Declan's mind.
Why do thier all the dates end up in hospital?
Declan had planned a classic proposal for Shannon, well but as always the plan didn't work out. As a mystery shopper, she is sought of have to do mystery shopping of one of the five star restaurant in the city and while the main organiser of the event count make it, the ring which was suppose to go in the champagne flute, was caked in tiramisu (well, destroying all the softness and silkiness of the dessert!)
The characters which were already amazong were much more fun woth Declan's POV. I really love Marie and her sense of humour! it was really fun with her fumbling over the sex talks woth Declan!
Truly I loved this book! -
I really enjoyed this update, it had Declan's point of view but pushed the story forward which I enjoyed. I had been wondering what he was thinking all through out the Shopping for a Billionaire 1-4 Series. Now I know, he's actually sane and thinks Marie is over the top but must be tolerated. I think I'd die if Marie was my mom. But Declan has his own issues and causes a few problems of his own. Well if anyone can understand how life gets away from you it would be his soon to be wife?
It's not quite as funny as 1-4, but I think that's because Declan has some real issues that need to be figured out. -
love the whole series
-
Only halfway through the series but I’m done. It’s good but not good enough to continue. Ending with the engagement is a suitable place to stop.

After reading something heavy that cause me great emotional distress, I was looking for something on the lighter side to pick me up. Having read the Shopping for a Billionaire series #1-5, which involved a lot of laughing almost to the point of tears, I thought reading the 6th book in the series would be a great idea. I wasn't anticipating the emotional punch a book from Declan's point of view would pack, and while there was a lot of laughter involved too, I also cried a couple of times.
Besides being in Declan's head for the first time, it was fabulous to see the McCormick dynamic from the male perspective. It was interesting learning about Terry, Andrew, and even the daunting James. I also loved Declan's interactions with Marie and Jason, Shannon's parents. This book made me really excited to read Andrew and Amanda's book(s).
Julia Kent writes humor and emotion so well. Even though I didn't get just the laughs I was looking for, I was very satisfied with everything the book evoked from the first to the last page. She did a wonderful job once again! -
Book six in the series and totally told from Declan’s POV. It gives new insight and perspective into the lives of Shannon and Declan. There are so many layers to the almost, but not quite, billionaire. His heart is laid on the line in this book. It’s right there along with his alpha side and his wacked sense of humor. Hey, to be entertaining a life with Shannon he has to have that wacked sense of humor in order to survive. This isn’t a rehash of the relationship from Declan’s POV, it’s much more. In fact, it’s an entirely new installment. What is rehashed is done in flashbacks that give insights into prior events. The inner workings of Declan’s mind are truly amazing. Declan is amazing. This series is so much fun!

Story of rich guy who have his family issues and all his childhood he has been berated by his father for his mother's death, he loves a girl who is crazy and do odd jobs and her family is more crazy then her , now our hero (Declan) was going to propose Shannon and for that he planned a surprise for her, and Shannon mother Marie is crazy lady who do some good comic humour in between and make the best of it, now when crazy family meet sophisticated family of filthy rich a crazy journey happen and a miscommunication make a laugh of the novel especially when Shannon swallow a ring which was actually to be present in champagne not in. Sweetdish, Some embarrassing moments make this novel a good comedy novel and something worth reading
-
I really just read this book without reading any other books in the series!! It’s like the 6th book I believe. It was so funny, but one thing I haven’t really read about in the past is mother (monster) in laws. This particular mother in law, ughhhhh. From what I read, I really like Declan and am kind of interested in how others perceive him as he is the one narrating this book. Shannon I feel like I don’t completely know but I can’t expect much after getting myself in this predicament. A lot of the situations were very nerve inducing lol I couldn’t believe how many things have happened to this couple!! Maybe I’ll pick it up again in the near future.
-
Interesting to read from Declan’s POV, but sometimes it felt like all he ever does is think about sex. It was a little off putting at times.
Other than that, Shopping for a Fiancée was as funny as all the books in the series so far.
These are definitely addicting, fast and easy reads :)
How am I supposed to read anything else anytime soon?! -
Not as funny or pleasant to listen to as the others in this series narrated by Tanya Eby.
-
Read as part of the Hilariously Ever After anthology.
Interesting and since it is book 6, there is a lot I bet I am missing. Amusing and each character had a distinct voice. -
In

Epic proposal in the history of proposals!
